I love this place. They rotate beers constantly and always have a huge selection of fruited sours and seltzers that you just don't find anywhere else a lot of the time. They also keep a wide selection of IPAs and stouts. There's something for everyone. I honestly can't rave enough about their selection. I'm a fan of all our little downtown tap houses but Overflow carries so many options that are always so tasty, it's tough not to play favorites. We bring our pup with us and the owner always brings him a fresh bowl of water when we walk in. He's literally treated like a paying customer and he doesn't even drink yet (he's a baby). They have a cute patio out back with plenty of seating at large picnic style tables and heat lamps if you want to get away from the TVs and activity inside. Side note: we even shot our Christmas card photo out here If we want to sit out front and watch the downtown instead, the owner offers to bring out some chairs for us to sit on. It's such a cool little spot and we've always been treated kindly. I love seeing our little downtown flourish with inviting spots like this and hope for more to come. Thanks Overflow for providing awesome drinks and a fun spot to hang out with our pup!

This is just what Gilroy needed. We are getting great downtown spots finally. Owner and staff are super attentive and welcoming and remember my husband and I every time we stop by. Great vibes and great music. The chai pear cider is the best cider ever! Also good selection of cans to go.

5-Star Review for OD's Kitchen in Gilroy I finally made it…read moreto OD's Kitchen in downtown Gilroy, and wow--what a fantastic spot for breakfast! This place lives up to all the hype as one of the best breakfast joints in the area, with huge portions, friendly service, and that cozy local vibe. I started with the chocolate cream drink (their rich, creamy hot chocolate or chocolate milk variation--whatever it exactly is, it's indulgent!). It was perfectly sweet without being overpowering, super smooth and velvety, topped just right. If you're a chocolate lover, this hits the spot and pairs amazingly with breakfast. Not too heavy, but definitely satisfying. For my main, I went with the famous Rosebud breakfast, and I can see why it's a favorite for so many people. It's a hearty, loaded plate with eggs, meats, potatoes, and all the classic fixings done exceptionally well. Everything was cooked perfectly--fluffy eggs, crispy edges where needed, and those fresh country potatoes were addictive. The portions are generous; I couldn't finish it all and definitely didn't need lunch afterward! The staff was quick, welcoming, and the place was buzzing with locals. If you're in Gilroy and craving a solid, no-fuss breakfast with standout items like the Rosebud and a great chocolate drink, OD's Kitchen is a must-visit. Highly recommend--I'll be back soon! 5/5 stars

I got the steak and cheese and chose pancakes and country potatoes for the sides while my mom got the od special . It's always nice to have choices what would you like for the sides. My mom and I didn't expect that we can actually change the toast to pancakes as it's not mentioned in the menu. My favorite part is the maple syrup as it's served warm. For someone who only uses syrup for pancakes that's a big plus for me. The steak and cheese was good but I feel like it's missing some taste to it that the salsa helped to cover. Service was good. We sat at the back room but I feel like we're checked enough times to make sure we're okay. The only funny thing I found was when I paid for the bill in the front, one of the server supposed to walk to our table to give us the to go box but instead the other server stopped her and gave me the to go box instead. The ambiance was casual. At first, it's really nice as it's quite peaceful and can actually enjoy the food quietly but when a big group came, they're loud that I tried to rush to finish so I can leave the restaurant already. Definitely worth to come back but hopefully they'll have more options with their pancakes.

Vine and pint was the same, packed but bar top was open so we grabbed a seat and ordered my wife and I some sliders as an afternoon snack! Chatted with the bar tender and learned more about the festivities going on since it was a Friday before halloween so I was curious if Gilroy was always so lively or it was just that weekend. Bartender was great and even offered me a few samples of the local brews just to try. Honestly didn't recall which things but I do recall one was a sour and ipa for the first time. But I think I enjoyed the one that tasted like a sangria. I joked about hearing that Gilroy was garlic capital so asked if there was a garlic beer since I saw somewhere there was garlic ice cream, but unfortunately there wasn't a garlic beer on tap so no luck there. Soon afterwards our sliders came and we got to enjoy our afternoon snack before heading out to locate me a sample of garlic ice cream in the garlic capital! Sliders were good and medium well! If only Gilroy was the final stop on the road trip I think I would've enjoyed a bar hoping experience since it seemed like there were plenty of bars to choose from!

I can see this street being busy and parking hard to get on a weekend. The restaurant has plenty of tables but no outside seating. There is a large bar with a great selection of wine, spirits and beer. The team serving us was welcoming and attentive. They knew their wines and were happy to make great recommendations. Our party did not get to order from the food menu because it was a preset menu for dinner. There was a buffet with a protein, vegetables, salad and dessert. I took one star off because of how greasy the food was. Other than that hiccup, I would come back here on my own. The service was outstanding - attentive but no pressure. An upscale place in downtown Gilroy. I highly recommend.

I was here on a Sunday evening for a volunteer appreciation dinner…read more I got there around 6pm and there was no parking on the street, I had to go down the block and park in a parking lot. The area tends to be a bit dark but I did not feel unsafe. The restaurant itself is on the Main Street and has ample outside and inside seating. Our group was in the back and we had the area to ourselves. There is large bar with 2 TVs playing games. I did not try drinks from the bar because those were provided by the group I was part off but the staff were helpful and attentive. We also did not order from the menu but had a buffet - small pieces of bread, butter, salad, mashed potatoes, pasta with shrimp, skirt steak and chicken. Unfortunately no dessert. The food was good, especially the skirt steak. The reason for the 4 starts is that nothing really stood out in the menu where I wanted to go back. The place was not very crowded, at the bar or tables. Maybe 3-4 tables were filled. The decor was warm and inviting with mostly wood on the walls and bar. The area was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday evening. The restaurant is definitely worth a try!
