Found this gem by accident on karaoke night of all nights. CNS Karaoke (find them on Facebook and Instagram) instantly won me over. I didn't get a chance to eat, but the curry aroma alone told me it's the real deal. The staff (Kayleigh , Lisset, Lindsey and Brandon) make you feel like family, and even though it was packed, it never felt crowded -- never waited for a drink. Probably one of the most hostile places I've ever been. We walked in and there wasn't a single person inside. We stood there for about two minutes before someone finally came out. He didn't say a word, so we asked for a table and all he said was, "Sit anywhere." Once we sat down, my boyfriend asked what beers they had on tap, and the guy just waved his hand toward the bar and said, "You can read them over there." Mind you, we weren't sitting anywhere near the bar, so my boyfriend had to get up just to see the list. Then he ordered one of the beers on tap. "We're out of that." So he picked another one. "We're out of that too." So... you get annoyed when we ask what beers you have, but then when we order the ones on your tap list, you're out of them? So what tf do you have? Honestly, if the server had just been polite, none of this would've been a big deal. But the entire interaction felt like we were inconveniencing him by simply walking through the door. like God forbid you have to serve customers at your job? After that, we just closed out our bill with our two drinks because we had zero interest in eating somewhere that made us feel that unwelcome. Maybe I came here in an off night. There were 3 people working and hardly anybody in the place. We were greeted and took a seat at the bar. The service was not the best. We had to ask for drinks every time we need another. We also ordered the taco's. Again, the place had few patrons and it took forever to get the tacos. Once we did finally get them ...they were cold! When you charge as much as they do for 3 tiny tacos, the food should be hot! The tacos tasted good but would have been better hot. So happy to have such a cute posh spot to walk to as this place is just around the corner from my neighborhood. We ordered tandoori nachos and samosas. I LOVED the samosas. Although the nachos weren't bad, I'm not wild about fusion nachos. I didn't believe the tandoori flavor paired well in nachos. But it wasn't bad. Just not my thing. For drinks, we ordered the Palomas. This was my first time having a Paloma, and I am a fan. It was perfectly refreshing and not too strong, but not too weak. I was actually really hoping to walk over here often to watch the Kings games since I can't get those games on my YT TV, as they are not local. But they told me they don't have the "sports" channels beyond the local teams. Bummer! You'd think with big TVs they would. The large TVs make the place feel like a great place to watch the games. After eating dinner at another restaurant, my husband and I wanted to grab a drink somewhere. I've been getting ads for this place on IG, so we decided to give it a try. Granted it was a Wednesday night, there was only one other couple there. They have a nice outdoor seating area, so we originally sat outside to enjoy the sunset and good weather. But... it was a little windy, so ended up moving inside the restaurant. I guess it's because of inflation, but drinks were a little pricey. $15 per cocktail. I ordered a lemon drop with a sugar rim, and my husband ordered an old fashioned. Our server was friendly, we recognized her from another restaurant. I'd be interested to see what this place is like on a Friday or Saturday night. Looks like they have live music. I think this restaurant could be more successful if it was in downtown rather than hidden in the strip mall of its current location. read more

Our first visit to Encina was a great experience. The staff was friendly and pleasant. Both the beverages and food were fantastic. The mocktail guava margarita and the champagne gin were particularly enjoyable. The Garlic & Masala fries were delicious, as well as the samosas and tandoori chicken quesadillas. I came in for the first time and was surprisingly impressed by the service I received! Kayleigh, who told me she's a newer bartender, provided me with amazing service. She was extremely on top of helping me and the food came out super fast and was delicious! I recommend getting the tacos, they were so tasty and were the perfect serving size for me! Third time giving this place a try, and it'll definitely be my last. Despite only four other patrons in the bar, the bartender was incredibly unfriendly. To make matters worse, after taking our drink orders (informing me they were out of the first two I requested), she made us pay before even starting to pour. Relaxed cool vibe, comfortable seating inside and outside under an enormous old oak tree. Big screen TVs on the wall for all your favorite sporting events ....or used as a big visual fireplace...when no games are being played. Service was fantastic! Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The knowledgeable part of the service comes in when you want to order food. They have a great menu offering Indian fusion food that was delicious. Ask and they'll explain the different offerings all served with hearty portions. Even though I really want it to, I don't see how this place survives. Always empty - I guess it depends on when you go. Have had a couple decent experiences, but not sure about some of the staff. I went there on a Tuesday and wanted to order food, but never had a chance to do that. Bartender and the "manager" were so wrapped up in their bs at the bar I just ended up ordering DoorDash and left. Expand the menu, hire quality staff (Thursday - Saturday have been better) and it will be a good place to go to. read more

Nice food and drinks, especially for a new place. My one gripe was they don't have many vegetarian options. There were 2 options that can substitute paneer for vegetarians, but they said they were out of paneer. This was right when they opened on Saturday, so it was surprising. Kind of cute place - looks like a nice sports bar but cave-like. Waitress brought tall water glasses. Half filled.... Took our orders - each had a burger, medium. $20 ea. All recorded on a hand-held credit card machine. "Oh, I will need a credit card to hold the order". Whaaat? There were about 6 other people in the place and she needs a cc to hold our order? We are not a flight risk...we're senior citizens. Burgers were not medium more like over-cooked and a bit burned. And we got a lovely side of potato chips with over-priced burger. We went in to see the new remodeled place and listen to Karaoke. They have a few craft beers for $10, but I wanted a "normal" beer. Turns out the only had Bud Light...so I ordered that. My girlfriend had a Diet Coke. The big shock was when I got my bill...over $26 for two Buds and a Coke !!!
