    bloody mary

Had lunch, dinner and breakfast there over the course of our stay. Excellent small, casual, indoor-outdoor bar with partially covered patio. Idyllic golf course views. Attentive, pleasant, helpful service from Josh at lunch, Esteban at dinner and Vanessa at breakfast. Could not have been better. Very VERY good Country Club food with pretty presentation. LUNCH: Delicious bloody mary. Perfectly cooked, juicy half pound cheeseburger, with fabulous beer battered french fries. Best fries ever! Perfectly grilled Hot Dog with various accompaniments DINNER: Hot from the oven baguette, crusty on the outside and soft on the inside - perfection! Tuna Tartare tacos and Beau Soleil oysters on the half shell. Their version of steak tartare was covered with cheese and bland (I love traditional steak tartare. This version was not to my liking) Excellent squash blossom tempura and Zucchini tempura - light, flavorful, delicious enough I could have had them as an entree all on their own! DESSERT: Strawberry gaspacho - room temperature. I would have adored this had it been a granita. Mini pavlova - rock hard pavlova did not have the delicate outside I am used to and the berry sauce was overly sweet to my taste BREAKFAST: Fresh squeezed orange juice was meh. (Maybe April isn't the season for juice oranges.) Huevos Rancheros were excellent. Perfectly cooked eggs. Avocado toast with perfectly cooked eggs was also excellent and flavorful. Highly recommend. Great combination of crunch and softness. Pancakes were light and fluffy, could not have been better! Special coffee drink with whipped cream was delicious. Reasonably priced and worth every penny. A nice treat to dine there while you are staying at Cordevalle. * When I was there, the online menus had not been updated yet. This should be done whenever there is a menu change*

We had the most enjoyable experience here. It was the launch of their new dinner menu and everything was delicious. I had the Wagyu short rib with red cabbage and polenta. Amazing! Service by Lars and his team was impeccable. Never a delay in course's and very professional service staff. It's always difficult to launch a new menu, but they really pulled it off with style and grace. We can't wait to return!

This is the bar/grill at Cordevalle. You can only eat here if you're a guest or member at the property. It's a great casual dining alternative to the more formal Il Vingeto restaurant that's also here. I had the filet mignon with potato wedges and my husband got the Kobe Beef burger with garlic fries. Both entrees were amazing. There is a note on the menu that all the beef is natural and it names the farm it comes from. There is also a full bar, so you can get any cocktail you'd like. My husband got the Lagunitas IPA on tap and I got a whiskey with ginger ale. Their ginger ale is house made. If you're staying at Cordevalle, eat here, it's really great!

4 Stars First, I want to say when I splurge for things, I'm expecting the highest of quality. Given One Iron Bar is located within the exclusive Golf/Resort that is Cordevalle, my expectations were on the highest of levels. That being said, I can't help but feel a bit let down. I had an early dinner alone on a recent Saturday night with the anticipation of a delicious steak meal. For some, dropping $50 a person per meal is no biggy. I'm not one of those people. I started with a bar ginger ale, which was an interesting concoction of coke, sprite and ginger ale(I believe is how the waitress sold it). I was also given complementary chili lime house chips and the bombest salted/peppered popcorn I've ever had. I did not realize their flavours change daily as I requested some popcorn the next day for the road home and was surprised by the strong aroma of cinnamon reaching up to tickle my nostrils. But back to the meal. I had the 9oz Filet Mignon(medium rare) with mushrooms and whipped potatoes. I loved the modge podge of non-traditional mushrooms and the potatoes were delicious. My steak ended up coming out more medium than medium rare and once the pool of sauce had been dipped up, I was still left with a chunk of dry and flavour lacking meat. Considering I was paying $4+ per ounce, I was quite a bit dissapointed. The wait staff, however, was incredibly helpful and attentive and the views of the golf course and rolling hills were fantastic.

Lovely complementary scones and muffin with homemade jams.

Breakfasts here are great. You start with freshly baked muffins and 3 jams/jellies of unusual flavors made here. However, I most look forward to the complimentary popcorn and homemade potato chips. Some magic powder dusted on the popcorn makes it addicting, and for someone who is a chip fiend, you can't beat thick, fresh chips!

Cool spot for food, romantic resort and golf.

The music playing was loud mariachi type which is fine by me. I'll mention that my guy friend and I are as white as they come and I was nervous going to this establishment as it's obviously geared towards the Hispanic community. However, there were no problems and we all got along just fine. I mention the race thing because unless you've been living under a rock, there's always a divide between Hispanics and whites and whatever and a lot of the community assumes it's too dangerous to be downtown at night because of that fact. I was born and raised in Gilroy I know how it goes . However I refuse to let that keep anybody from relaxing and having a good time..it's ridiculous to hate for no reason. There were no problems we had fun. Thank goodness there is an establishment open til 2am on most nights. We've been there twice so far. Second time was more crowded and it was a good time, no fights and no super drunk people Bring quarters for pool, there's only 2 tables. People were nice enough to let us play instead of claiming a table for the night. I would give 5 stars if they had shuffleboard and more pool tables. Maybe open earlier also like 12 for those that want to spend a day off practicing their pool game.

We were greeted by a very friendly waitress. She said we could sit wherever we wanted, asked if we've been in before, and told us about the specials. The interior is cozy, it kind of reminded me of dive bar vibes. They have a lot of drinks on tap and some frozen slushies. I opted for organic iced tea since I don't drink. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed one of the slushies was non-alcoholic so I might try that next time. We ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger with Chili Cheese Fries and the Supreme wood-fired pizza. The burger was fantastic! The BBQ sauce was delicious, the bacon and onion rings were crispy, and the fries were great. I enjoyed the chili, but I didn't think the cheese sauce or sour cream really stood out. I thought the crust on the pizza was perfect, I really enjoyed the wood-fired vibe and fresh toppings. This would probably be my favorite pizza if they used better mozzarella. For now, Bizza is holding the top spot for me since they use Butcher's Son mozzarella, and in my opinion, it's the best vegan mozzarella sub I've ever had from pizza spots so far. Even though I have notes, I still think the overall meal was a home run and the staff were super friendly so they get 5-stars in my book.

It's locally family-owned and operated, and you can absolutely feel that welcoming, community energy the second you walk in. They've got a solid lineup of beers on tap with some house staples (Farmer Nelson IPA is my personal go-to) plus rotating options that keep things interesting -- we especially love the seasonal sours. They also have sodas and chips, plus their own craft root beer, which is a fun touch. There's always a food truck parked outside (except Mondays), and we've consistently had great meals to go with our drinks. The space itself is a win: bar seating with purse hooks, several large indoor tables, and a large outdoor patio. Inside you'll find two pool tables, shuffleboard, a video game area and board games. Outside there's ping pong, which makes it extra fun for groups and kids. They also have large restrooms with baby changing tables.

They even let us bring in pizza from down the street to enjoy with our drinks. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, plus a cozy little couch area to hang out. In the back, they have a couple of pool tables if you want something to do while you sip. They're definitely dog‑friendly, too. One of the coolest touches is the artwork on the ceiling, inspired by the owner's favorite record albums. They were setting up the stage for live music while we were there, unfortunately, we had to leave before the show started. They host a lot of events, including food trucks, which is always a bonus. Their beer selection is wide, and they offer samples so you can find the right fit. I tried the Farmer Nelson Hazy IPA and really enjoyed it. Their pours come in UK pint sizes (20 oz), which is a nice surprise. My wife had the Go Nuts Cream Ale and loved her pick as well.

Everything sounded delicious, but I opted for the Pop"s Pub burger. I figured that would be a good starting point to get a feel of how good the food is. The burger was good, but not $21.00 good. The fries were tasty ,and I really enjoyed the side salad that came with it. The burger itself came with lettuce , tomato and a house sauce (thousand island blend). The burger was cooked perfectly , and tasted pretty good. However, when you add a $10.00 IPA to the equation and throw in a tip- I was out $41.00. I didn't like my meal enough to spend that kind of money. For a burger to be this pricey, I needed more. This place seems like a cool place to chill ,watch a game, and enjoy a cold beer. I may just do that next time and skip the meal. The service was poor. Once my food was dropped off , I never heard from the lady again to check on me until she dropped off the check.
