First off, these burgers are amazing! I'm so glad I was told about this place. I was told the burgers are so fresh here. They were right- they are fresh and delicious! Also, the jalapeño poppers deserve appreciation because they are finger licking good! I've come twice already for a burger and poppers. It's been the same person at the register and each time she's been lovely, respectful, and helpful. She made it so easy to order and totally accommodated a burger with bbq sauce instead of mayo and mustard. The first time we came on Sunday for dinner and it was busy! Wow, people sure do like this place. There was a family celebrating a birthday here. The second time, I came in on a Friday night and I noticed they had lots of delivery pickups and orders to go. There is ample seating to enjoy a happy meal. I've gotten the meals with fries and drink and also just the burger. We are so fortunate to have a fresh burger place. This is exactly what you need when you want a good burger and fries, quickly, and affordably! The burger is big and the price is great. I got the bacon burger and it was excellent. The bacon had great crisp. The crinkle cut fries are really tasty and well seasoned, with just the right amount of crunch, yet soft inside. I wasn't that impressed with the side of fried mushrooms we ordered. They were fine, but I wouldn't order them again. The batter was very thick. I did appreciate the side of ranch it came with! Great spot for a casual bite with friends! We stopped by for lunch and the food did not disappoint. The burgers were delicious, juicy and packed with flavor, but the standout for me was the BLT. It had the perfect balance of crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and tomato. The bacon was especially crispy, which is always a win in my book! The place has a no-frills vibe inside, but there's plenty of outdoor seating, which is nice when the weather's good. It's definitely laid-back and unpretentious. The only downside and it's a big one is the kitchen. You can see the grease caked up on the walls, which really needs attention. We live far away from this restaurant but everytime we come to gilroy we stop in for a burger. Their food is A+. Their service is A+ and their restaurant gets an A+ for being clean also. Flavor of the food is good but restaurant itself could use a bit of cleaning. Floor, tables, chairs all feel sticky and a little dirty. We ordered the double super burger, fried zucchinis, fried mushrooms, and a fish n chips plate. All the food was pretty tasty but the tartar sauce tasted a bit like egg salad for some reason. I liked the fries a lot! They're a thicker crinkle cut but fried and salted well. Service is friendly enough. While I was on the way to Pinnacles, I didn't expect much passing by Gilroy as I only needed a quick lunch, but the food here was delicious albeit greasy. It's your average American burger joint but the portions are huge. I had the patty melt which was thick, greasy, decadent, and it for sure clogged my arteries even though it was delicious. When I lived in Gilroy, we would eat here a lot because the burgers were delicious! And the service was great. Since I have moved, I hadn't been back in a couple years and decided to come have a burger here one night with my husband. The place was not very clean and the girl behind the counter took a little longer than necessary to take our order. The burgers and fries were OK but not like I remember. And a little TMI, but I had diarrhea for FIVE DAYS after eating here! My stomach was hurting so bad after visiting and felt like my stomach was going to explode. So this isn't an actual drive-in burger joint. It's kind of a whole in the wall, everything is old and somewhat outdated. The floors and wooden benches are all worn out. But don't be fooled!! We found this spot based on an IG account that locates the best burger joints in the Bay Area. The family and I frequent Gilroy gardens and pass by this spot driving by. We were so happy that we dropped in because we love supporting local businesses. We also are not into paying the overpriced rates for subpar food at Gilroy Gardens. This was our second trip and it did not disappoint! The staff are friendly and efficient! They work so hard to keep it consistent and get everyone in and out quickly. We were both waiting for our food until my girlfriend pointed me out that the cook (never got his name) long hair, mustache, beard, Caucasian started to give sexual gestures towards her unbeknownst to me. This is a flat griddle burger joint with not many reasons to advocate eating here. The old style crinkle mass produced frozen fries also are not worth mentioning. Stumbled on this via Yelp. I like to try different spots. Some of them divey, some of them more upscale. When I saw this place serves crinkle fries I was sold. Hubby and I commute. Gilroy is on our way home. My husband got their 1/4 Super Burger meal that comes with a medium fries and a medium drink. I had the Deluxe Burger Meal that is served with a little smaller patty than the 1/4 burger but still came with a medium fries and medium drink. When our number was called the fries were fresh out the fryer hot and burger was fresh off the griddle hot. I respect that the cook times it that way. What is worse than a hot burger and luke warm fries. The crinkle fries were dusted lightly with some Old Bay...SCORE! Definitely get the bang for your buck here. Staff is very friendly and the dining area and kitchen are clean. I had the ortega burger which was fairly priced and tasted good, not great. Even with the poblano chile, the whole thing tasted slightly dry and just wasn't the flavor bomb that burgers can be. I wouldn't go out of my way for Super Buger but at the same time it's completely serviceable. read more

After the YEE at Eden Rift, my brother and I thought we should make a stop on the way home to return our rental car. The plan was to go to Sonic, but it was out of the way, and we eventually landed on Super Burger Drive In as it was rated quite highly. Unfortunately I have no idea why it's rated so high. The eatery is about the size of any small restaurant, and I didn't notice a drive thru. As for the menu, it was absolutely gargantuan, which usually means they make everything but don't specialize in anything. I ordered an Ortega Burger combo meal along with a corn dog, because I was curious while my brother ordered the bacon cheeseburger. What makes the Ortega Burger different? Chili in the burger--but not meat or bean chili--it was actually a pepper of some sort. Everything we had was good but it was nothing special. I'm sure the corn dog was also frozen. I'd call this place barely solid, and nothing really unique with all the other known chains surrounding it. read more
