I had no idea about this restaurant but I really like everything about it. This restaurant is located inside of Nordstroms department store in the boca town center mall. We ordered delicious brussel sprouts for an appetizer and I got a great drink with vodka in it. I noticed everyone was ordering the salads and my friend that recommended the place said that they are known for their salads. I can't wait to try a main dish of the menu next time we come back. We loved our appetizers, our drinks and we even got strawberry gelato for dessert and it was delicious. I definitely want to go back soon. read more

It seems like I end up eating here about once a week. Sometimes it takes a while to get served,and the menu rarely changes, but what their food is very good. Appetizers: The deviled eggs are delicious and have a nice mustardy taste to them. The "bruschetta" if you can even call it that is far from traditional, but it's the best I've ever had. Their soups like the crab bisque, white bean chicken chili, and beer cheese served with a pretzel roll are all great. Salads: They make one with goat cheese and fresh berries served with a vanilla vinaigrette that is fantastic. Sandwiches/entrees: The burger is far from average and has a nice balsamic taste to it. The French dip sandwich is very good and is served on some nice crusty French bread. The pasta dishes are my favorite. The shrimp pasta is little spicy but the shrimp are cooked perfectly and the sauce is great. My favorite dish on the menu is the chick angel hair pasta. It's served with a rosemary beurre blanc sauce and a more traditional red sauce with chanterelle mushrooms. The 2 sauces are served separate from each other on the plate so you can mix if you please. Located inside Nordstrom in the Boca Town Center, this restaurant is fabulous. Service is upscale, all waiters wore suits and all black attire, and our host actually held the menu out to me until I grabbed it, which took me a while, since I didn't realize he was waiting for me. Our server was very friendly, and recomended the chef's specials and whatever he thought was good. What I love most about this place, is the fact that every item on the menu has calories listed with it. I am on a very strict diet, and this helps tremendously. I ended up having the crab appetizer with sautéed spinach, which was very good. Our food came fast, refills kept coming, and when out waiter was busy at another table, another of the waiters came when we called. I've been eating lunches at Bazille, and its predecessor named restaurant, for several years, and have been negligent in submitting a review. Now is the time, fellow Yelpers, cause this is a not-so-well known restaurant which packs a lot into their meals, and hopefully, it will not become much more popular. Why do I say that? Well, try getting a table there any day of the week between 11:30 AM and 2 PM, and you have a real challenge on your hands. Even if you are the world-famous, ever-cited and sought after Marqus R., you will not be able to "boca your way in", just cause you come to the reception area without a reservation and much attitude [yeah, can you believe a lot of attitude from #BocaLadysAtLunch?], and claim to have made a reservation [yes, I've heard that many a time], or say, with puckered overly lipsticked lips "Im here before my 1:30 PM meeting with my personal stylist and I'm a level 4 Nordstrom Card Holder [which means you have charged more than $10,000 a year on your Nordstrom credit card],a nd I MUST have THAT table, NOW." It really doesn't work. So, first advice, go to OpenTable.com and make a reservation. And if you arrive without one, expect to wait, and try being honest and stating "I don't have a reservation, can you accommodate me?", without any attitude. Try it. It might be liberating SERVICE is efficient and brisk. Not hurried, but the servers do make their way around the room in a quick pace, food runners and expeditors bring your food, and occasionally a manger might pass by and ask if everything is ok. Your server will always come by and ask that once your food is delivered. FOOD: Food is incredibly well prepared, now has calorie counts on all choices, and there are many healthy salads, sandwiches, and main dishes which include broiled fish. They serve at dinner time, when it is much more quiet and less harried. The food is attractive plated, perhaps I can say "Nordstrom stylishly plated foods". Obviously, whoever is plating the food is doing so with style in mind, just like all of the items they display and sell in Nordstrom. I've posted many pictures, so I'm not going to mention all the dishes in this review. Trust me, you will not be disappointed, even if you are hyper critical Marqus R., who will feel like he has dropped into a new wild world in Boca that he never knew existed. And yes, Marqus R., there are several attractive staff who will provide you with eye candy as you munch away on your food. BAR: They have a full bar, make mixed drinks, and have a rather interesting wine collection, BTG or Bottle. You can sit at the bar, and eat, as well as drink. So, when in the Boca Town Center Mall and you want a very good meal, head over to Bazille. When shopping at Nordstrom, its located on the second floor, hidden in the back. One thing, it is LOUD, VERY LOUD. There is no getting around this. This particular Nordstrom Bistro has horrible service and the food is mediocre. Service: if you are going to be a bartender and try to wait tables, then hire a bar back. I was seated at a table in the bar area, obviously and waited twice as long on food and drink refills compared to anyone seated at the bar. Oh yea, and that complimentary cake I left a tip about, I waited an additional 15min for that, after I walked my check up to the bar in order to get closed out..... Ridiculous! Food: not what I have come to expect from previous visits at other Bistro | N locations. I ordered the seared scallops over cream corn, the dish was bland on flavor and extremely salty. #Worstfood and #TerribleService In Boca. Review from visit Feb 2015 As a vegetarian, my options are limited - But there were a few things to choose from. I ordered the Hummus, feta, olive, appetizer. However, the Hummus was so salty it was #Inedible. There were actually granules of salt burning my lips after one bite. My first though twas they drowned it in salt to hide the fact that maybe it was on the verge of being rancid? So I sent it back. As an entree, I ordered an mixed green and goat cheese "side" salad. I asked if they could make it a double and serve it as an "entree" salad, since none of the entree salads fit my liking. The waiter said "sure." When the entrees came, my salad was not doubled, and the "croutons" were hand pulled raw pieces of bread. It was so unappetizing looking - like scraps of bread from another person's left overs. I asked the waiter about the portion and the unappealing "croutons" - He said "eh - that's how they come." We also ordered a side of french fries w Kalamata Alioli for the table - they came cold. My daughter ordered chicken fingers and plain french fries - which were also cold. I asked the waiter if we could get hot 'plain' french fries for my daughter, but that I would not be eating the Kalamata seasoned french fries or the salad since it was so unappetizing, I lost my appetite. He brought back a plate of french fries - guess what kind, Kalamata seasoned! They had to go back, so my daughter could have plain french fries. The service was so lacking, like the waiter was not paying attention at all. Not once did we get an apology for the food mistakes or the bad service. At the end of the meal, the waiter did not charge for my lunch; And although that was appreciated, my luncheon afternoon was ruined and I will never go back to this place, even if the food was free. After only being here twice i am in love. Well in love with dessert. I had the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. It is a dance of flavors on your palate. From the white chocolate pool that surrounds the big slice of crispy bread pudding. To the light and fluffy whipped cream. It is absolutely to die for. The service in here is great. From the hostess to the servers everyone has a great attitude and seem happy to be working there. This place if your ever in the mood for a dessert is a must. Absolutely one of my favorite places!! Always start of with the Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts... the best anywhere. The Brussels are mixed in a sweet soy sauce and accompanied with sausage and pine nuts. I am NOT a sausage fan but trust me, it works with this recipe. The cilantro lime chicken tacos are fantastic as well as an appetizer, too small for a meal. Tacos come in a crispy shell with lettuce, mango, cheeses and spiced chicken.... delicious combo. I've had the French Dip and the Skirt Steak... both are excellent. The skirt steak is a little on the small side so it comes out a bit on the expensive side. But hey, it's inside Nordstrom so what did you expect. I let my friend have a bite and she couldn't believe how good it was her exact words were "I've had this all over the world and that is my favorite one ever" she also had the maple deviled eggs which she loved as well. My girlfriends tried too speciality drinks. I remember one was a honey something. I can't recall but they both loved them. We shared a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Everything I've gotten has been good. I always forget this place is here, but if you go anywhere near the top floor of Nordstrom you can smell it- a delicious smell. I ordered the Vine Street cocktail. It was very light and refreshing. I'm not one for a champagne/rose cocktail, but I'm glad I chose it. Their bourbon drinks looked really good as well. The bread was really really good. Wish they did olive oil and herbs over butter. Ordered the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. They were a little hard and bitter, but the lemon sauce was really good. I ordered the crab stack and cup of crab bisque as my meal. Disappointed the stack is pre-made so I couldn't get it without tomatoes. The dressing was really light and complimented it well.it came with toast points, but as someone watching their weight, I would have preferred it being served with lettuce. Either way it was satisfying. The crab bisque is to die for. It's not overly thick and a cup, though small, is more than enough to fill you up. As I write Yelp notes that they close in 59 minutes. It's exactly 5:32. They advertise that they close at 6. I watched 2 employees attempt to turn 2 couples away that arrived at 5:25 and exactly 5:30. Last month I was driving from West Palm Beach and wanted to stop in one evening. I like it here and they serve Peter Yealands Sauvignon Blanc. When I arrived 35 minutes before closing I was advised that it was too late on this particular Saturday night. I was tired and irritated so decided that I wouldn't return. I could have argued and gotten sat. I knew this. I was just over them. But, tonight I was wanted a glass of wine and deviled eggs so I arrived at 5:20. Thy close at 6:00. This policy of closing before the state's time is disrespectful and reflects poorly on Nordstrom. I get that this is a restaurant within a store but, you cannot continue with this policy. It's annoying. If you close at 6:00 then allow people in until 6. If not, close doors at 5 and then you can get home sooner. Spend the $$$ and install attractive glass doors and lock them when you're done seating. Anything less is a mistake. Decided to stop in here, since my daughter had raved about the French dip sandwich. Located in Nordstrom at Boca Town Center, this is a great restaurant for breaking up a long day of shopping. We got there about 1:00 and were seated right away. Half an hour later, the place was packed with people waiting in line. The interior is contemporary and comfortable with low lighting. There are tables and booths for seating. The pleasant waitress was at our table in no time, with a basket of fresh bread and butter. She immediately noticed that we were already prepared to order our meal along with our drinks, so she didn't quickly run off before we had time to do both. We told her that we were going to share the French dip. While this is met with frowns and grumbles in some places, that was not the case here. It was only a very short time before our lunch arrived. Unlike other places, we didn't have to share a plate or weren't just given an extra empty plate so we could split the sandwich ourselves. Each plate was presented as if that was the way it was always done. We each had what appeared to be a full order of fries along with their house dip for the potatoes. The sandwich was a nice mound of very tender, thinly sliced, lean rib eye steak, piled on a crunchy baguette type roll. The au jus was genuine, not commercial bouillon in a cup. It was flavorful and delicious. The dip for the fries will make you never want them in anything else again. They make a blend of Greek olives and mayo that brings out the best in the hot, thin and perfectly cooked fries. While the prices are on the high side for lunch ($16 for the sandwich), it is easily enough for two and the courteous service along with the nice presentation make it worth the cost. read more

When a friend and family member suggested a mid afternoon meal at the Nordstrom Cafe, my expectations were not very high. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of ingredients and service, I would definitely reccomend a meal here. Beginning with what tasted like an artisan bread matched with an excellent crab bisque, followed by a tasty Southwestern shrimp salad. The soup was delightful, huge huge huge portion ($7 each) My salad was nothing to write home about. There was grilled green beans in my salad, grilled wouldn't be the best word to use to describe them, they were burnt black, it needed a little more dressing and the ahi tuna could have been more fresh. His steak was cooked to perfection! The demi glaze was the perfect topping and all three sides that came with were very tasty and perfectly cooked! My sister and I stopped there on a Saturday after shopping in the mall. We were seated right away. The waitress was friendly and accommodating when we said we wanted to share a cauliflower crust pizza (yay for gluten free choices) and salad. The pizza was light and delicious and the cilantro lime salad with chicken was sheer heaven! I made a point of asking if I could buy the dressing, and while they don't bottle and sell it, they do offer the recipe in a cookbook they sell. I made a point of snapping a photo before we left. We topped it off with a flourless chocolate cake and scoop of vanilla ice cream, both of which were some of the best I have ever had! I know, hard to imagine but true! All the dishes that went by our table on their way to other diners looked marvelous. And I forgot to mention a our cocktail - strawberry sangria made with Prosecco, rose and lime juice! Light and thoroughly refreshing! Delightful. And ALL that at a far more reasonable price than I have experienced recently anywhere else. Definitely recommend! This is a hidden gem in the back of Nordstrom 2nd floor at the Town Center Mall. Looks like an over-the-top rich audience place but inside is actually a casual good ol American restaurant. The menu had soups, gourmet salads, sandwiches, pizzas, some seafood and steak entrees. After we were seated, a pleasant waiter came and took out drink orders then brought bread (French baguette) with olive oil but actual olives included! I opted for a crab bisque and the prime rib French dip sandwich. My mom had the jumbo crab cakes. The soup was unique as it had tiny onion and green pepper pieces at the bottom. The crab meat was scarce but the soup was tasty. The prime rib came thinly sliced on a baguette. The au jus was delicious!! The fries were nicely seasoned and crispy thin. The French dip side was addicting. The crab cake came in two, a bit on the smaller side. It was very good. It had a saucy center and and charred outer shell. The tempura asparagus it came with was over battered. And the mini salad as eh. Over all good food decent environment. read more

The food is consistently great, the wine selection is good, the service is always on point. I always get the Asian chicken salad and a glass of Chardonnay. This is my favorite lunch place. Although it's good for dinner also. I come here every week with my parents who complain about all restaurants and servers. But! They are happy here. John waits on us every week and he is a gem. Although all the wait staff is excellent. Now for the food. In the 50+ meals I have had here I have never had a bad meal. Don't let the fact that it's a "department store" restaurant deter you. The salads are outstanding. The chipotle chicken sandwich is unique and amazing. The pizzas, pastas and soups are some of the best I've had. And the bread deserves its own mention. Sourdough, warm, baked perfectly and delicious. And free. Its great for small or large groups. I've always been a fan of the Nordstrom Cafés/ Bistros around the country. In Schaumburg, IL (Chicagoland) there was a great one close to work so it was a double whammy - go shopping at Nordies, eat at the Bistro. It's just a fun adventure. Here is the same thing - but this Bistro is even bigger and better than the one in Schaumburg. AND the menu has more choices. I love their salads and pretty much anything on the menu is tasty. Nordstrom's business model is service and quality and the restaurant won't disappoint you. I took my mom to eat here for Mother's day (her idea). Made reservations via Open Table, our table was waiting for us and we were seated at a nice table near the bar. Our server came by very quickly to take drink orders. I ordered an ice tea, kind of surprised they only offered standard ice tea (n passion fruit or green tea). We started the meal with the Fig & goat cheese salad, which was spectacular. You don't have to order the full dinner salad, ask for a half portion, which is still enough for 2 people. Drinks and salad came quickly before the meal. The salad featured a champagne vinagrette dressing that had just the right flavor (not overpowering). The ingredients were all fresh and delicious. For main course, I had the crab macaroni and cheese. That might sound like a weird combination, but it was very good. My mom had a grilled chicken with fries, the fries were some of the best I've ever eaten, with great seasoning. We were also brought fresh baked bread. Our server Alison was very helpful- the best servers are those that you never need to look for, yet you hardly know they are there. At one point my ice tea was refilled, even though I can't remember her pouring it. One nice thing about Bistro is that if there is a meal you really like, they will give you the recipe, or you can get it out of their cookbook. You can also buy some of their dressings and sauces. Fabulous. Booked an early Christmas Eve dinner via Yelp at the restaurant with the hopes of getting a quick but nice dinner before the world shut down. Unfortunately, Yelp reservations did not note the correct hours of operation for the day. The restaurant called me and were very humble and apologetic for the miscommunication and offered to "make it right" should we decide to dine with them again. Fast forward a few days later. I called the restaurant to make a reservation. The manager remembered me and the situation and apologized again for the prior inconvenience. The food was sublime. Who would have thought that a restaurant in the middle of Nordstrom would put out such good food, wonderful presentation and attentive wait staff. Bravo. read more
