SALT & PEPPER CRUSH FRIES... After a follow up appointment in Nordstrom, my family and I went upstairs to the Bazille restaurant which is owned and operated by Nordstrom. As we approached the modern squared arched entrance, I was still questionable of how the meal would be since it was inside a department store. Extremely spacious dining room and noticed a few craft beers stacked on the bar that alerted patrons of the higher end offerings that would satisfy any thirst. We sat in a booth along the window with a visual of the parking lot below. Well it wasnt comparable to the NYC skyline but it permitted an open feel while dining. The server was quick to take our order and she recommended a few dishes. The onion soup (shared with the wife) was large with melted cheese and lightly charred edges. It was loaded with soft onion slices with a heavy salty taste - it excited my palate. The Nordstrom Burger came with roasted garlic and white cheddar cheese and a soft bun. It was delicious, although, the surprise of the meal were the thin crispy salt & pepper crush french fries with a side of pink kalamata olive aloli for dipping. I was so enthralled with the food I never got to try the craft beer lol. The gender assigned bathroom was just outside the entrance of the eatery and inside the Nordstrom. This restaurant is upstairs in the Nordstrom's Department store. I'd been here quite a few years back for a Yelp elite event, but as I'm not a regular Nordstrom's shopper, I had not been back. Although I have eaten at one of their other locations. We were coming to the Boca Town Center for an event and decided to have lunch here first. The restaurant is a quiet respite -- not only from the store "crowd" but from the mall itself. It's a bit upscale and in some cases pricey, but the food quality is commensurate with being part of an upscale place like Nordstroms. And for Boca folks, it's right up their alley. I started with a cup of their crab bisque. This was very good. The soup was creamy and with a few chunks of crab in it. It also came with a slice of toast on the side, too. After that I had their chicken tacos appetizer. This was two crunchy tacos filled with ground chicken and peppers and cheese, etc. The tacos were excellent, but a bit messy. As the tacos were hard, every bite fell apart a bit. My husband had their nicoise salad with salmon. The fish was served warm atop mixed greens, hard boiled eggs, fingerling potatoes, beans, etc. He said the salad was wonderful. He enjoyed a glass of sauvignon blanc wine with his meal. This wouldn't be a regular stop for us, normally, as it's a bit expensive, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. And we had excellent service here as well. read more

The food here is always consistently good. The service varies. Prior to Covid there were a couple of young men that worked there that were always on par! Bazille never disappoints! I've been a loyal customer of Nordstrom restaurants since 2015, and this location at Town Center Boca Raton is one of my favorites. On our recent visit, we enjoyed the Niçoise salmon salad, truffle mushroom pizza, calamari with peppers, tomato basil soup, and the bread pudding for dessert. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented--the food here is consistently succulent and thoughtfully prepared. It took 40 minutes to get a hamburger and a chicken sandwich. Only when I asked the waiter did he tell me why. Because we made your order wrong! So, now they re-make my wife's burger, while my sandwich gets cold. Then they sreve Fries with no ketchup, then we realize there is no salt and pepper anywhere. Shopping really works up an appetite. At Town Center in Boca Raton (a regional, destination mall that seems recession proof) we were ready for lunch. There are not many restaurants near Nordstrom. Maggie McFly (first location in Florida) has yet to open. And California Pizza Kitchen was packed. (And the nearby former sneakers shop now sells lingerie; but that's another story.) So we headed to the second floor of the department store to try Bazille and we're glad we did. No snobby salespeople, just nice servers. And the food was fresh and decently priced. Tomatoe bisque was smooth and tasty. We both had the salmon nicoise which was fresh and delicious. Of course, we ordered a side of flatbread to tide us over. One of our favorite features at Bazille is something you don't see once inside the mall. Windows! We watched an afternoon storm move in. The french onion soup is so amazing. I love the soup and wish I could make this at home on a whim. I also ordered the chicken club sandwich. I asked for the garlic aioli on the side. The sandwich also came with a side of mayonnaise. I left those two off my sandwich and thought the sandwich was okay. It was saved from being not flavorful at all with the bacon on the sandwich. The avocado was really fresh. Overall, the sandwich was kind of bland. The bacon was top-notch and gave the sandwich a little oomph that it needed. The fries were good and have some nice, interesting seasoning on them. They have a lot of herbs on them. My aunt had the margherita pizza. She liked it but said it was oily. I had a slice thought it was pretty good. I was impressed that the crust had such a nice flavor to it. Most crust don't have much of a taste but this one had a garlic flavor to it which I enjoy. Next time I might order the pizza. I brought home some double chocolate chip cookies which were very oh, very good. They were fresh and had a lot of chocolate flavor. Bazille has an upscale feel to it yet the pricing is fair. Our server was nice but I think he was overwhelmed with tables. They seem to be a little bit shorthanded there. I started with their French onion soup tasted a tad greasy broth was nice little too many onions for me in my opinion but it was all in all very good and cheesy . I've never eaten at this restaurant (despite shopping at the Boca mall all the time) because I never knew it was here!!!! (Definitely need better advertising/marketing!!) Once I stumbled across this restaurant in Nordstrom, I didn't think it would be anything special since it was inside a department store, but boy, I was wrong... The ambiance of the restaurant is great- huge open kitchen stretching across the length of the restaurant, where you can see everything cooked in the wood fire oven. The open restaurant has tables/booths in the middle, with a bar across from the kitchen. I ordered the maple (sriracha) bacon deviled eggs for an appetizer- which were some of the best deviled eggs I've ever had. Each flavor went REALLY well together, each bite was an explosion in your mouth. For my meal I ordered the flat iron steak frites with the herb French fries. The fries were thin and crispy, with the perfect amount of seasoning. The steak was drenched in a DELICIOUS herb butter and came with an interesting kalamata olive aioli. The aioli sauce is PURPLE- a little off-putting at first sight, but TRY IT, it's delicious!!!! A very unique flavored sauce that goes great with both your fires and steak. I first heard about Bazille when I attended a Yelp event here. I had no idea that Nordstrom's had restaurants! Turns out this is a really great one too. Not sure what kind of food you're going to get at a restaurant located inside a department store? Well you can have a little of everything. That's exactly what I did when I returned with my best friend. We split a variety of items and really had a great time. I can vividly remember our server being very helpful and accommodating. He had the kitchen split items for us in the back and portion it in half. We can't stop raving about how good the food actually tastes. They also serve alcohol so you can kick back and have a glass of champagne or wine. What I recommend is the tomato bisque soup, the deviled eggs, their skirt steak or burgers. With all of the following plus an extra appetizer and two drinks, our bill only came out to about $60. Definitely worth it as the food was spectacular. The skirt steak and burger were prepared correctly with the temperature we desired. I'm in love with their deviled eggs so make sure to order those! I even saw men dining together as a casual lunch date just to hang out here. I definitely think it's a restaurant for everyone, families included. read more

I took my daughter prom dress shopping on Friday night in the Boca Mall. After we were done I wanted to treat her to a nice dinner and I remembered all of the glowing Yelp reviews so we headed over. It's located on the second floor of Nordstrom's against the back wall. The restaurant is so dark that you can't really see in from the store. I actually thought it was closed until we got closer and saw someone moving inside. We got there at 8:30 and it was pretty empty. We were quickly seated and brought menus. The French dip caught my eye until I saw the calorie count was over 1.500! Except for the salads the meals offered were pretty high in calories. I appreciate that they give you the calorie count because there is no way I am blowing that many calories on one meal. My daughter ordered it instead and she loved it. She declared the bread was exactly like the French baguettes she had in Paris. I took a little bite and it was rich. I went with the chicken paillard salad which was clocked in a much more reasonable 550 calories. It was a very thin chicken breast, quite large, covered in greens with a vinaigrette dressing. For a chicken salad it was pretty tasty. The restaurant was elegant and the service was attentive. If I wasn't trying to count calories I would have splurged on dessert. It was nice that their menu while small does have some salad offerings for people watching their health and weight. Thankfully Bazille does not have Nordstrom prices for their food. Dinner for the two of us with tip was a reasonable $40. read more

I love, love, love this restaurant. On the second floor of Nordstrom's, hidden against the back wall, you will find this awesome restaurant. Totally worth checking out. Let me start by saying that the male server's are quite gorgeous. I never say things like that, but go take a peek for yourself and then let me know what you think. Granted, they are young, in fact probably a good thirty years too young for me, but I still like to look. The casually elegant dining room has a warm and cozy feel to it, if that even makes sense. The bar has a TV if you want to catch a game or something while your better half does a little (or a lot) of shopping. You can order food at the bar and relax which is great. You won't be rushed out, trust me. I have been here for both dinner and lunch and picked up some soup to take home one day when I didn't have the time to sit down and enjoy my meal. I haven't been let down yet. The service is always good and the food is always delicious. And let's not forget the cute server's who add to the dining experience too. It's all good here. They are kid friendly and have a children's menu. Each menu item lists the calories too. Since no one really gets dressed up to shop, it's pretty casual. Even though it's located in a high-end Boca department store, this is not a pretentious restaurant by any means. Sure, you will see the "Boca Babes" lunching, but don't be surprised to see a few guys sitting at the bar grabbing a burger or some fashionably dressed mall employees grabbing a quick lunch. On one rainy Saturday my friend and I ordered a couple of bowls of soup to take home. The Chicken Noodle Soup ($5.95) was perfect and the Crab Bisque ($6.25) was also pretty good. They packed the soup containers really well, which I appreciated. The Hummus Platter ($8.95) was a great afternoon snack to share with my girlfriend. Our server said the Hummus was lemony with a hint of garlic. I think it needed more lemon and more garlic, but it still was delicious. The platter also included chickpeas, feta cheese, olives and warm rosemary pita bread. Great appetizer to split. The Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad ($16.95) was excellent, especially the Lime Vinaigrette. The salad was large, fresh and had quite a few shrimp. Definitely worth the money. I have to tell you about the Bistro Fries ($5.95). Six bucks for fries is steep, but they were worth both the money and calories. The fries are served with a ramekin of Kalamata Olive Aioli. This incredible dip is delicious. I found myself dipping my pita bread into it. It would be perfect on a burger or sandwich too. WHITE CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING ($7.95). RIDICULOUSLY GOOD AND LARGE ENOUGH TO SHARE. A MUST TRY. The prices are typical of any Boca restaurant. Aside from the fries, I think the prices are fair. I definitely recommend Bazille for lunch, dinner or an afternoon snack, or even just for an incredible dessert. If it's date night or a lunch with the kids, you can't go wrong here. Our server was pretty great despite probably having too many tables to take care of. Unfortunately don't recall the guy's name but witty/funny (esp when my dad makes terrible jokes), young, longer brown hair, and athletic type build. Don't recall his name unfortunately but props to him. Moving onto ambience - casual, comfy, and had a nice upscale vibe to it while staying down to earth. The booths felt private and had a nice bounce to the cushions. We ordered the crispy brussel sprouts to start and server took great care and was mindful of my nut allergy. Even went as far as to put the peanuts in the other side of the table that was normally sprinkled on the sprouts. We got the shrimp tacos also to start which were pretty good but not particularly amazing. I went with the French Dip which was solid, fresh, and the right mix of crunchy sweet soft and not too over the top on the cheese. Got the side salad with it which also was super green and fresh but only cause I was trying to be healthy...fries were good too. Enjoyed it. Ok, here is the scenario. It's Sunday, NFL football games start at 1:00 pm. You want to watch your favorite match up and your wife wants to go shopping and would like you to spend time with her. I really believe that I give up those Sundays to do what she wants to do because she is such a giving person and would love to give back and spend the day with her shopping. No problem. I am not a big shopper when I just go to look, but I love to shop when I know I need something. Otherwise I just follow her around or sit on a couch in the shoe section at Nordstrom, Bloomingdales or Saks and Yelp, Facebook or answer emails. I would prefer being at a sports bar, drinking my favorite wines, having a great craft beer and bar food, but here I am on a couch at these places waiting for her to look around to see what the latest styles of shoes, or clothes that she may want to purchase. Well, because of Bistro N, NO MORE, do I have to sit on these couches from one department store to another. Bistro N is a restaurant / bar situated on the 2nd floor of Nordstrom in the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton. I never knew this was there and thankfully my wife told me it was a great place to go for lunch. One Sunday afternoon, we had spent a couple hours looking around at the mall and my wife said she wanted to eventually have lunch at Bistro N, so I had a great idea. I would go up there and get a table or sit at the bar and wait for her to finish her shopping. Well, little did I know when I walked in to this place , I forgot I was at the mall as I looked into a beautiful dining area with a warm bar with 2 TV's, and really a great wine list. Such an assortment. When I checked in,, what popped up? A free appetizer. This day was getting better by the moment. I ordered their Short Rib Lettuce Wrap. I love short ribs and never had seen a lettuce wrap that you can eat with short ribs. Really different, great combination of spices and sauce. Just taking my time , drinking my wine and having this nice lettuce wrap as I know "she" is doing what she loves to do too. Alas,,,, my wife showed up to meet me and was done shopping and she ordered the Chicken Pillard. Pounded chicken cooked with a lemon marinade, and a very flavorful salad laid right over the chicken, as you can see in the picture. Now this is Boca, so we look off to the left and we noticed that there was a couple and their dog, all 3 dining in a corner booth. I mean the dog was eating too!!! The bartender was great, very friendly, and gave us great service. It really turned out to by a nice afternoon. The food was really EXCELLENT. The menu had a vast assortment of great dishes. We really enjoyed sitting there with the bartender, all of us watching football. Funny,, as we left and walked back into Nordstrom, it hit me. We had a lot of different items: French Onion Soup- It is THAT good. I loved it. So rich and flavorful!! Chicken Flatbread- It was ok Hummus- Really tasty, but needed more flatbread, they did refill it when we asked French Dip-tasty Burger- Really good, got it with the brussel sprouts and they were so good! I also shared it with my daughter and they split the meal in the kitchen which is always nice. Bread Pudding- It was good, but not so OMG good like everyone states. I think it needed some ice cream with it, rather than cream, but just a personal opinion. Who would guess there would be a hidden restaurant inside of Nordstrom? My husband and I went last night for dinner on Valentine's day and we enjoyed it. The beautiful restaurant has a great selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. Our appetizer was the Mediterranean hummus with rosemary flatbread. The hummus was mixed with feta, garbanzo beans, olives, and olive oil. When we ran out of bread, they gave us more after we asked for it. The entrees were prime rib sandwich and the southern chicken special. The prime rib sandwich came with au jus sauce for a dip and a side of fries. I took a bite of it and it was very good. The southern chicken was fried and it wasn't greasy. It was on top of a cornbread pudding with sauteed spinach. It was too pretty to touch in the beginning, but I didn't feel bad about destroying it. There was no way we were going to leave without the most important meal: dessert. The white chocolate bread pudding is a must. It came with a side of raspberries and a light whipped cream to make it a little sweeter. The food and service was excellent. Our server made sure our time there was perfect. She made excellent recommendations about the food and didn't rush us at all. The prices are reasonable and it's a nice place to get together for a date night or a group of friends. read more

A hidden gem in the Nordstrom's in Boca Raton Town Center. I went here with my family for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Bistro N is tucked away in the back of Nordstrom's, and the place was pretty empty for lunch hour, so we were seated right away in a booth. Our waitress brought us over water and fresh bread right away, and she was friendly throughout the whole experience. The lunch menu is a decent size with a fair amount of options. I tried everything we ordered as a family: *Caesar Salad with Roasted Chicken - Phenomenal caesar salad. The caesar dressing was divine and creamy, the chicken was fresh, and it was sprinkled with the perfect amount of rich pamesan and crunchy garlic croutons. Plus it also comes with a cheese crisp which always adds a star up to any dish. *Bistro Prime Rib French Dip - Fantastic. It is very easy to screw this dish up, and very hard to make it good, but Bistro N does it perfect. The sandwich tastes fresh, and light. The meat is well cooked and the cheese adds a good contrast. The crunchy bread acts as a perfect vessel. *Bistro Club - I was actually a tiny bit disappointed with the Bistro Club. The chicken was fresh, but the rest of the sandwich tasted a bit bland for me. Not to say it wasn't good, but just not my taste. For lunch in Boca Raton, the pricing is fair, which is to say its a tiny bit above average. But you at Bistro N, you get way more for your money than in most restaurants of much less quality. It was storming out so we decided to come in here for some afternoon delight....desserts that is. We settled into a booth and ordered cappuccinos to start. I saw the waitress' face and I knew her answer instantly before she spoke. "Sorry, we don't have any espresso drinks just American coffee" Here we go again. I don't understand how all these restaurants think it's OK to offer just plain coffee? In this day and age of Starbucks type places even Mc Donald's offers espresso drinks! Fine. We stayed only because it was raining out and we were tired from a long day. We ordered the white chocolate bread pudding and the salted butterscotch pot de creme. I T T O O K F O R E V E R I can certainly see why given out of the entire place maybe they had 5 tables busy? tops? On a better note, once the desserts arrived they were SPECTACULAR! The white chocolate bread pudding was topped with white chocolate and it was sitting in a pool of melted white chocolate. You have to have a sweet tooth to enjoy it. None of that not liking sweet desserts nonsense. The butterscotch was divine! Is there a butterscotch trend memo I missed? This is now the third butterscotch dessert I see offered at a restaurant in a row. Again, very sweet and just delicious. I almost forgot that I was not enjoying these with espressos. Almost. As much as I enjoyed these desserts I don't know that I will come back given the turtle slow service for just 2 desserts and the lack of coffee I enjoy. Enjoyed a wonderful lunch here with my friend. We each ordered their famous French onion soup. It was very hearty with thick generous layers of gooey cheese. That in itself is a meal. We also shared their brussels sprouts. Unlike any other brussels sprouts I have tried. Full of wonderful flavors, seasonings, chicken sausage, and other ingredients. I've dined in quite a few restaurants inside Nordstrom and they never really disappoint. This one, at Town Center at Boca, has casual dining with all the fixings. There's a full bar and a menu that's far from a typical casual dining menu. I had the Tuscan white bean soup that was delicious. I tried the devil eggs that were a bit salty. The partridge, pear and beet salad was really good as well. I also had the heirloom tomatoes and burrata which was really tasty. The only drawback was the tomato. Heirloom tomatoes are usually bigger than cherry tomatoes, which is what was plated in this dish. Besides that, it was great. Very good experience. read more

Very odd that I forgot to take a picture of my delicious cilantro lime shrimp salad but i was THAT hungry. Tucked at the end of the second floor of Nordstroms at Boca Town Center you can find this lovely cafe. The acoustics aren't great so it's loud in here. They do a steady lunch business from what I could see. Our server was very attentive and friendly. She took our drink and food orders and promptly returned with our drinks. I ordered the cilantro lime shrimp salad with no tortilla crisps (dieting) and dressing on the side. The salad had baby mesclun greens, heirloom tomatoes, Jack cheese, corn, and grilled wild shrimp. It was delicious and perfectly sized. The cilantro lime dressing was so delicious that I told the waitress how much I enjoyed it. She informed me many of the dressings are made fresh daily, particularly this one because of the lime and cilantro. It was that good! So if you get hunger pangs and you're in or near Nordstrom pop in you won't be disappointed. read more

Okay the only reason I'll go to the mall it's because of this restaurant! Located inside of Nordstrom. It's pretty dangerous going here while shopping, you go here to have a delicious meal & have a few drinks, you come out feeling great and now you're in the mall tipsy? Talk about wanting to buy everything. The chef is awesome, the shrimp salad, the onion soup, tomato bruschetta are outstanding! Salmon was cooked perfectly! They have great quality food. They should open up a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and I'd go a whole lot more! read more

Update: I did mention that the service is inconsistent. Today our waiter kept forgetting about us, and it seems other waiters were doing the same to their tables, too. It was odd. Our waiter took my mom and I's drink orders and ignored my grandma. Then later he disappeared behind the bar to become bartender and stopped coming to us altogether. I needed a refill, then I needed a fork, but getting his attention was hard. My grandma wanted jam for her toast but he said they had none. Other tables actually waved their hands in the air to get waiters' attention. Also, they were showing medical procedures on TV (yikes). After we asked for the check, we saw him socializing. read more
