Completely incompetent install of a very expensive after-market shower. Damaged the apt. While demolition of the shower: Two dents in the refrigerator, bathroom sink P-Trap stopped due to debris thrown in. I had to hire a plumber $$$ to clear it. I can't say I have many good thing to share about this company. We had two showers done by them. 1 came out fine. the installer that did this shower was nice and courteous. The other shower in the master bedroom by a different installer was half assed. the doors didn't fit so water leaked everywhere, the wall was popping out, my ceiling and walls are damaged ... it was just frustrating. We called to have the shower with issues looked at. Let's start with the fact it took them forever to get someone out here to look at the issue. The scheduler, Karen, isn't the most attentive and we've had multiple issues with her and her manager Chris. When we finally did get the installer out here, he implied I couldn't figure out how to close the doors so that's why we were having issues with them and it was leaking. He then realized it was actually the doors and there was something wrong with them. 1. What crap customer service. Please let your installers know that implying the customer is a moron isn't good for your business. 2. It's been 3+ months since we've had the installer come out and they said they ordered a new door. We are still waiting for the new doors with NO communication from the company. What a joke this place is. We thought it would be a good compromise without having to redo the whole bathroom but this has been such a horrible experience. After the demo was done on the old tub, he inspected the space with us making sure there was no hidden water damage. So far we are very happy with the new tub. Clean. Straight. The other bathroom so sloppy!! The caulking was uneven. The railings were off. Wall damage. Left a messy finish. When I called the lady was nice. Because I requested the guy we know to install good come, it took a bit longer. Bath fitters did tell me a time so I came at 830 am. She said 10 am. At 1230 they had not shown. Well... I thought I was helping my 90 yo mom by suggesting and setting her up with Bathfitters. Figured with me living abroad they would be professional and seemless for us. Our bad in not reading the fine print... Ok fine, she got her own plumber to hook up the drain... But their communication with her was a total cluster F... Now with the drain, she could finally turn on the shower and her plumber tells her the BF intstaller has the Hot and Cold water mixed up. And then... whoever picked up the phone at BF when she called to get it fixed had the gall to ask her why she didn't get HER plumber to fix it? Are you kidding me??? I had been waiting to complete the Bathfitter internal review until we can see if the shower works... see photo. But today after talking to my poor mom I had to get involved... Kinda F'd up when they cancel the ability to review them while we are still trying to get the Job completed correctly... So here i am on Yellp... Mom's over it with trying to communicate with them. Changing my review from a 5 to a 2 because upon closer inspection of the installation I found many stains, mars and scratches on the glass doors and frame which should have not been installed at all. It looks like it could be a manufacturing flaw. I'm disappointed that my installer, Mike, continued with the installation. Unfortunately, sealant application was messy or lacked application where needed. Prior to this rating I gave him a 5 star rating because he was professional, informative and neat throughout the process. Aside from these issues he was great. Demolition and prep team of Victor and Chris showed up right on time. They worked efficiently to remove old tub and tile. At my request they saved a few of the old tiles with special decorations, cleaned them up, and stacked them neatly by the front door. They discovered a problem with an existing exhaust-air duct from a downstairs bathroom that passed through the installation space. It had been originally installed in a faulty manner and they figured out how to repair it and route the duct so it would not interfere with the new tub. They did a neat job of removing the old drain stack and rerouting the new stack to align with the new wider tub. At the end of the day, the work area was exceptionally neat and clean. The next day, Aaron installed the tub, new fixtures and the surround. He did an excellent job of joining the new materials to the existing walls and trim. He also reinforced a weak area in the subfloor beneath the new tub. He solicited our input in placement of accessories so that getting into and out of the tub would be safe. He was meticulous in caulking all joints, and even came back the next day to double-seal the joint where the tub meets the floor. When he left, the work space was immaculate. At the beginning of the job, Nadir Elias clearly explained the options available, the financing and what we could expect during installation. He was diligent in seeing that all our questions were answered in a timely manner. The tub was installed in exactly the time frame he promised when we placed our order. Karen, in the showroom, was very helpful in showing us the models and accessories. She communicated with us throughout the process in a helpful, timely manner. read more

Our installation was not typical and there were a few items that needed to be fixed. It took 4 months for them to return and finally get everything to our satisfaction, thanks to Ignacio. The pricing was better over others and it seems like a good product except for the shower pan. It is slippery even with just water and has dimples all over that hold some water. Their customer service needs to be better with regard to being responsive. You can't get ahold of anyone except the inside sales person. On this occasion we had Bath Fitter replace a tub/shower combo with a brand new walk-in shower that includes an accessory hand held shower device (that accompanies the "rain shower" head) plus shelf and safety bar. Kyle Pelphrey did an exemplary job in fulfilling this mammoth project for our home. He is diligent, conscientious, courteous and a very hard worker. We greatly appreciate his commitment to excellence and his integrity. I'm updating my review as Bathfitters finally came back in early March 2022. I'm being generous with adding an extra star only because they at least came back as I was about to write it off that we would never see the again. I hadn't heard anything back since Oct 2021 in a voicemail they left they are working on it. I finally emailed in February 2022 and they responded immediately and that they had the parts in and would schedule us in immediately. Here are the positives: * The new tech did find that the grey acrylic was actually installed backwards to they fixed that and replaced the two small pieces with the acrylic that matches the style of the shower walls which was what what we agreed with. * The grout bead that was 3/4 inch thick is now less than half so it looks better (see pictures) * they did install the tile like acrylic all the way to the top as promised and the tech spent time to align it as best as it could to the top of the ceiling * the tech replaced the white grout with clear silicone as requested on the outside so you don't see white squiggly grout on the porceline tile Here are the negatives * the thinner strip could not be used so there is still an odd break. The tech on the phone back in summer 2021 noted they could use a thinner strip but the tech who installed noted they could not. * did not refund the extra bath cabinet holder that didn't fit in our bathroom * lack of communication on their part. If I didn't email, would we have been contacted back? * After they showed me the paperwork of the fixes they turned it into the better business bureau as documentation that they addressed all their issues. Would I use Bathfitters again? No. Lessons learned we would spend the time to really redo our shower. Does the shower serve its purpose? Yes, for now. Will see if the water tightness is really true and if they truly guarantee life time as long as we own the home. read more

My husband called and called and finally answered, then they said they scheduled a come back and never showed up. Could at least have the courtesy to call back. But they will harass to have you pay up. Should of listen to our neighbors who said "Don't trust them" they are a total rip off!! This review is based on my research, experience with Bath Fitter and why I chose to not continue with them: 1). You'll want to avoid the biggest complaint with bathtub liner installation, having water trapped underneath the bathtub liner could cause mold. (See attached photos are results of improper installations of bathtub liner) 2). Over time, the hydrostatic pressure will cause the liner to split. 3). Poor fit and improper installation techniques are one of the main reason they will fail. There are over 200 different bathtub styles and many liner companies simply do not have the proper mold. Many companies use generic molds that do not fit like a glove. That's something Bath Fitter fails to disclose to win your business. 4). Don't be fooled by unscrupulous salesperson forcing you to get a wall surround with your tub liner, when you don't need it. They push this so hard for two reasons: They need to have the wall surround go over the tubs perimeter lip to prevent the liner from getting water underneath it, because of their improper bathtub liner installation methods. This locks in the tub liner, should you ever need the liner replaced, it would be impossible to pull it without destroying the walls. Most of these salespeople are commissioned sales and are just looking at their best interest, not yours. Some information that is on Bath Fitter contract that I missed and they won't go over with you rushing you to sign: 1. Bath Fitter Warranty: All Bath Fitter products are covered by the manufacturers lifetime warranty. Installation services, including silicone, and plumbing work, are warranted for twelve months. This warranty is nontransferable and applies to the original Buyer only. (This warranty is basically garbage and covers nothing. It doesn't cover bad installation which potentially could cause mold growing underneath your bathtub liner. And who is the manufacturer?) 2). Bath fitter coverage about molds: Molds occur naturally in almost all indoor environments. Mold spores enter homes through doorways, windows and a variety of other ways. A Bath Fitter installation may include removing wet, loose, defective, discolored, or odorous surfaces and washing remaining surfaces with household bleach solution. Bath Fitter and its representatives make no warranty or representation of any kind, express or implied, regarding the presence or absence of mold, or regarding the effectiveness of any biocide designed for reducing the presence, effect, or growth of mold. (Basically, this explained that Bath Fitter knows about mold and wants to cover themselves from it and are not responsible if you have mold growing from their bad installation.) 3). Bath Fitter Buyers Right to Cancel: You the buyer have the right to cancel this contract within three business days. See Schedule "A" Buyer's Notice of Right to Cancel. (Schedule "A" is the form that Bath Fitter accept to signed and dated to be emailed to them. In my case, Bath Fitter failed to share this information within the first 3 business days to cancel. Also was charged without permission an additional 30% of the amount due on top of the 10% deposit.) I will be proceeding going to small claims court if this matter doesn't get resolved simply. Don't let that happen to you. read more

Bath Fitters Sucks They installed a new bath for me in 2016 and the workers did an excellent job. Fast forward to 2022 and the caulking began to crack. I spoke with Karen who was surprisingly unfriendly. I had never called once to complain before and was surprised by her lack of customer service. Anyway, she said that customers call every year and expect new caulking because the warranty is for a lifetime but she thinks that customers should pay $195 for re-caulking. There is no fee for re-caulking so why she said that is bizarre. So the first guy she sent out did a sloppy job with his fingers. Smearing the caulk crookedly all over not caring if it was straight or not. I called again to request that someone come back to fix his suckass work. So a second guy was sent out who had extremely powerful awful body odor and he claimed that he couldnt fix the poor caulking job. He ended up making the caulking look worse. He was nasty - he left trash on the floor and a big shoe print was left inside my bathtub when he was 'finished'. This atrocious work has totally ruined my my initial beautiful wonderful bathtub install. First guy did a great job while the other two sucked. read more
