Just had Shawn (and son) demo our guest bathroom and install a new tub, shower tile and floor tile with new tub/shower fixtures. Once we had all of our materials on hand (tub, tile, fixtures) Shawn started work on a Tuesday and was finished by Saturday morning. Shawn's operation is very clean and efficient, during the demo he setup his shopvac outside with a hose running to the bathroom to keep noise levels down, he put down paper on the flooring and was sure to vacuum up dust and debris at the end of each day. The finished product was very neat and clean with straight and flush lines and he even took a cloth and alcohol to wipe down all surfaces once he was done. Throughout the whole job Shawn was very friendly and communicative, answering any questions he had and offering constructive input when needed. Highly recommend. read more

Our master bathroom shower had seen better days. Its lovely beige tile and pink grout (why!?) boasted mold that just wouldn't quit no matter how hard we scrubbed. Our friends had recently remodeled their bathroom, and we couldn't believe how clean, modern and pristine it felt walking in to see it. "Who'd you guys use?!" I inquired. The tile workers he employs are chill guys who showed up on time every day and did a great job. We were so pleased with their progress each day. As we were finishing up, we didn't like one part of how the tile was laid out. We told Shawn and he jumped at the opportunity to redo it, even coming onsite himself to see it through. To be fair this review is only for the lack of communication and failure to deliver estimates as stated. They did not do any work for us. Initially communicated on yelp for an estimate. We made arrangements and they showed up as promised. Came by on a Wednesday and looked at the potential job we had and was told I'd have estimates ready before the weekend was over....that didn't happen. That following week I sent a text for an update and said I'd get it by the following day.... that didn't happen. Next day I got another text saying I'd have an estimate before the nights over... again that didn't happen. I cannot speak for the quality of their work since they did not take on our project, however based on the multiple times we were left waiting for updates we've decided to use another contractor. Shawn is now our GO-TO contractor for all of our home projects. His work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail are truly amazing. My husband and I remodeled our guest bathroom with a majority of the project being accomplished by Shawn. Originally, he was only contracted to do herringbone marble floors, a beautiful tiled shower with a niche, raised shower plumbing and replacement of our tub (which Shawn helped us out a ton when the tub we bought on our own came with a crack in it, he went and replaced it for us), ALL of which turned out beautifully, but turned out we needed him for a lot more. When we found our vanity was not matching up with the plumbing in our wall, we had to call Shawn back out for his help. He ended up fixing our plumbing for our vanity, as well as installing the vanity, sinks and faucets! He did a truly FANTASTIC job. What would have been a 3-4 month project for my husband and I, turned into a week long project for Shawn. We received quotes from two other companies which were extremely over priced and did not even compare to the quality of work we received from Shawn. On top of all of that, Shawn ended up replacing a pedestal sink faucet (not an easy task if you've never tried it) for us in our 1/2 bath, which is something we had been needing to do for months. We requested a quote from Shawn at Patriot Tile & Remodel and he was extremely prompt with getting back to us, came over to the house to look at the bathrooms then gave us a quote the next day. When we met him he was just one of those people you get a good feeling from. We had gotten quotes from 2 other contractors but Shawn's came back very competitive and when we decided to move forward with him he said "I'm in for you guys" and I knew we made the right choice. We got both our hallway and master bathrooms redone and they each took about a week. We wanted a shower shelf that ran the width of the wall but the framing behind didn't allow for a depth that would hold the shampoo and conditioner bottles. Fortunately Shawn had run into this issue with another project he had worked on so he was able to quickly recommend a solution and move forward without any delay. The result was spectacular! We also wanted a herringbone patterned floor using relatively small tiles but they were so patient and made sure every piece had a clean cut and looked perfect. The bathrooms both came out so beautifully but there were so many other details that made this process so smooth. We both trusted Shawn to be in our house while we were away at work. We also have 2 large Labradors that he was okay with having in the house gated off in the kitchen and came by periodically to give them love which seems silly but makes a huge difference to us. He also made sure to lay down a cloth tarp each day where they would be walking in and out of the house to keep their work area clean. After the projects were finished a piece of the shower hardware broke which was no fault of Shawn's. The manufacturer sent us a replacement part and he was willing to quickly come out and fix it for us. We are both so happy with the result of the bathrooms and all of our neighbors are jealous. I'm impressed again with Shawn! We contacted Him in a little bit of a panic after our tenants moved out and damaged some of the shower tiles along with the faucet fixtures in both bathrooms. We had the main bathroom in our home totally remodeled by Shawn Burns and his staff, including a complete construction of a Roman tub/shower, and it is so impressive that every time I go in there I am amazed! We coordinated with him beforehand on the concept, the tile types and colors for the walls, the inset, and the floor. We also had the plumbing changed to raise the shower head for our tall son, recessed lighting installed, a new fan/light assembly with ducting, the wall outlet raised to accommodate the vanity, and the power box for the mirror overhead light raised for the new mirror and light assembly. The linoleum floor was replaced with thick wood-like tiles, and a new toilet was installed.
