I came here on a Monday evening to redeem my free birthday scoop. It was actually my first time here since they opened at this location. Parking wasn't too bad although the gym members from 24 hour fitness do tend to take up most of the parking spaces in the area. The people working there were friendly. The ice cream selection wasn't very impressive and I had a hard time deciding what I wanted. I ended up getting chocolate chip. The ice cream was creamy and a bit melted once scooped into my sugar cone so I needed to ask for a cup and spoon. Overall, the ice cream is what you would expect at a Baskin Robbins. This has been our go-to Baskin Robbins since the one near our home shut down. We usually come here at night and although I'm not a big fan of ice cream, the boys are! So here we come. Clean, has all the flavors in stock every time we come, and the service has always been great. The ladies, usually there are two of them, are nice to the kids and they love coming here. I am not fond of their parking lot, tree roots have uprooted a good portion of it, but other than this, no complaints at all! We will definitely be back, especially when not and nice like today. Oh and there seems to always be some ice cream cakes in their refrigerator and ice cream by the ... Gallon? I like it here, just not a big ice cream fan. Just here for the kids. Me.... Gone are the days of 35 cent scoops at drug stores (does this show my age?). Rite-aid closed down. Took the next generation here for 31st promotion. All was good. The kiddos got their samples and decided on their final flavor. Granted, we would come out ahead if we bought a gallon at the grocery store instead. Somehow, it's not quite the same. (did the scoops get smaller on these promotion days?) I used the app to pay with a gift card and next thing I know, the owner yelled "NO GROUPON!" There is a Groupon for BR? Cool, I will look it up (didn't find one for this location). The cashier and I resume closing the deal when the owner said again, no Groupon. Again, we were confused. Then he calmed down enough to say Groupons are not allowed on the promotion. Ahhh. Light bulb. The cashier explained that I was using a gift card. I could not wait to finish paying and leave. I have been a Baskin Robbins lover since I was a little girl, I guess that is why I love this place so much because its nostalgic. The old location of BR in Milpitas used to be by the new Grocery outlet, and they were very stingy with the scoops. But their chocolate chip ice cream is the best. There are tons of tiny chips (and the occasional big ones) that I love to bite into. Their pralines and cream is also to die for! I love nuts! So I always always get a two scoop sundae of chocolate chip and pralines and cream with whipped cream, strawberries, nuts and a cherry on top. This location gives a decent amount of ice cream. You have to go on a good night in hopes you get a girl that loads the scoops. I just don't understand why some workers are so greedy with the amount of ice cream that they give to customers because their prices have definitely sky rocketed. read more

Ahh Baskin Robins, the staple of ice cream. Always reliable if youre in the mood for some ice cream. Prices are around $3 a scoop and their sundaes are pretty good if youre in the mood for traditional tasting sundaes. I love the Jamoca Almond Fudge on a sugar cone and the husband likes the mint chocolate chip shakes. Their ice cream cakes are good but pricey. I think safeways cakes are just as good and cheaper so unless you have a coupon, I'd opt for the latter. This location is new and clean. The girls that work here are pretty nice. Had some rude run ins with customers though ( maybe people get pissed off when you accidently delay them from getting their ice cream fix by about 5 secs? ) Anyways this place is popping during the hot weather. 3 Stars read more

My family visited Baskin Robbins tonight. The store closes at 10 and we arrived at 9:48. As we walked towards the door, an employee locked the door even though the sign said "Open" and there were many people inside. My husband knocked on the door but the employees ignored him. We walked back to the car with two very disappointed children and my 2 yr old screaming bc she didn't understand that they wouldn't let us in and she just wanted ice cream. I am so angry by this treatment. Why would your employees lock the door 12 minutes before closing time!?? There was a heat wave where we lived and we were looking forward to having ice cream. Service is horrible! How much extra do I have to pay for a smile?! I ordered an ice cream cake from here because it's one of the few places that does photo cakes. I wanted them to put a picture of Ryan Gosling (*swoons*) on my friend's birthday cake. I called ahead and the man on the phone (store manager?) quoted me $9.99 to add the photo to any cake, or $19.99 for just an edible print out of the photo to put on your own cake. Once I get there, another lady helps me, and apparently everything I wanted "costs extra." Lady: What flavor do you want? Me: Chocolate cake and Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream please. Lady: Jamoca Almond Fudge is going to be $10 extra. Me: Don't you sell all the flavors at the same price though? Lady: Cakes can only be standard flavors. Me: Okay fine, let me get chocolate cake and chocolate chip ice cream then. It's one of the standard flavors on your order form. Lady: No, we don't have that already pre-made. If you want it, we have to charge extra. *OMG! Pulls hair* Me: Okay, just give me whatever you have. That's fine. I just need a cake with this picture on it. Lady: Okay you have a square picture so you should get this 1/4 sheet cake. It won't look good on the smaller round cakes. Me: Okay that's fine. Lady: It'll be $14.99 for the picture now because you want the bigger cake. Me: The mgr said $9.99! Nevermind, I don't want it anymore. I'll go somewhere else. Lady: Hold on! No no no, let me ask the mgr if I can give you a discount. She calls the mgr on the phone, and he "approves" the $9.99 charge for the photo on the larger cake. I think to myself fine, I don't have the perfect cake, but it'll do. Once I come to pick up the cake a few days later, same lady, she just hands it to me and goes back to scolding the other worker there about something. I open the box up and there are all these air bubbles underneath the photo. :( Save your time and money and get your custom cakes elsewhere. Anything beyond your basic ice cream cone here is going to be a headache. read more

Gave 3 stars because of the location and they have my favorite flavor which is the Jamoaca Almond fudge. Employees can definitely use some training in customer service. There could be a line with just one server and the other on the phone doing something behind the counter and not tending to the customer. Unfortunately, the Baskin Robbins in Fremont is no longer there (but hello Shiva's $5 eyebrow threading), so my sister and I went to the Milpitas location in search of an ice cream cake for our dad's birthday. Being indecisive and not knowing really what we were looking for, we spent quite a while looking through their fridge section looking for "the perfect cake." The employees there were super helpful, without being pushy. And honestly props to them for being so patient with us! Please note: custom cake orders take 3 days to make, so don't go to Baskin Robbins 3 hours before the birthday dinner thinking you can order a cake with the cake/ice cream combo that you want!! We were lucky enough to stop by during their Customer Appreciation event and they were quick to tell us that 2 scoops of ice cream was only $2! I ordered a large chocolate shake for $7.99 and it was served with a flat lid that was too big to fit (just sat loosely on top of the cup). Since i apparently could not get a lid that fit, i asked for whip cream on top of my shake and was told that the whip cream is $.79 extra. Alas, the wonderfulness did not last for this ice cream eatery. After a month, the owner raised the temperature of his freezer to the point where many of the ice creams are virtually melted. We visited twice in the last week and were presented with hand-scooped, soft-serve ice creams. One of the scoops on our cones was so soft and was placed so poorly on the cone that it was falling off and running down the side before it was handed to us. So the server offered to give us a cup in case the scoop fell off the cone. Then she informed me that she was giving us the cup at "no extra charge" even though the owner told them to charge for doing that! Umm. Let's see, plop soft, melted ice cream on a cone so that it is falling off, then charge the customer extra for a cup to keep the ice cream from falling on the floor? How do you spell R-I-P O-F-F? (I won't mention that she was taking money and handling the cones - not the paper wrappers - without handwashing.) Plus, like all foods, ice creams are created to be most flavorful at a certain temperature. If you don't believe me try melting your ice cream to about 80° and drinking it. Yuck! Baskin Robbins recommends serving their ice creams at -5° not at 15° or 20° because the consistency and flavors are designed to be best at the colder temperature. So, why warm up the ice creams? Because with the texture of instant mashed potatoes ice cream is easier to scoop. Servers can scoop orders faster and so the owner does not need to hire as many employees but still charges the same price for the ice cream. If I want soft serve, I'll go to Foster's and pay much less for a cone of chocolate. read more

I have been visiting this store twice a week but I'm never gonna go back there again . I didn't notice much on my earlier visits but then my recent experience was terrible n would never go there again . While eating an ice cream, I downloaded the app and it said I had a free scoop , so I went to redeem it . The app is terrible and it didn't show the barcode when I redeemed so they were not able to redeem it . Meanwhile they already gave a scoop in my hand . Now the funny part is that they were going to throw it if I didn't buy it . Lol..seriously ? I didn't want food to get wasted so I bought it . I requested to talk to a manager but they said manager wasn't available or something. Very rude people. I immediately checked on Yelp for the closest spot that offered a milkshake, and this Baskin-Robbins on Jacklin Rd. was the closest. I ordered my favorite which was a large Jamocha milkshake. The girl from whom I ordered appeared to have been having a difficult time with the blender while preparing my order. She was very apologetic! I told her it was ok since I was not in a hurry!
