    Earl Grey Lavender Puffle
    Da Kat A.

The shop is conveniently located in the same complex as Sprout's. The shop is pretty small with a couple tables inside. It's really cool to see them make ice-cream real time with liquid nitrogen. We got the Earl Grey Lavender Puffle. The Earl Grey ice-cream is creamy and tastes good with mild hint of earl grey flavor with honey drizzled on top. However, the puffle is not good at all. It's soft, too dense and soggy. It's supposed to be crispy outside and light. The puffle wasn't freshly made and it is very disappointing. It was so bad that we ended up throwing it away. It's not cheap either - $15 for it.

I passed by Cauldron several times, but never got anything here. The EARL GREY LAVENDER always caught my eye. However I never got around to trying it. I finally made made it in... I can see why only the 3 *** ratings... First some info on Cauldron: "HANDCRAFTED ICE CREAMERY Originating from a modest Orange County garage in 2014, our journey has expanded across California and Texas, marking a thrilling adventure. Crafting small-batch, natural ice creams inspired by treasured family recipes, friends, and community defines Cauldron's passion. Our evolving quarterly flavors promise a continuous surprise for your taste buds! What makes Cauldron Ice Cream stand out? It's our revolutionary use of liquid nitrogen. Unlike traditional methods, this technique swiftly freezes our delectable creations, ensuring a velvety texture that dances on your palate. When you savor Cauldron Ice Cream, you're not just tasting a dessert but entering a world of magic. Come, delve into our unique creations, and experience the Cauldron difference--a taste adventure like no other!" - https://cauldronicecream.com/about/ I wasn't aware of the use of liquid nitrogen to create the Ice Cream. There are no samples. Each order is made from scratch. #NirtogenTreat: ~ SUN MOON & STARS - 2.5/5 The description says Creamy Milk Tea Ice Cream with notes of Jasmine, Oolong, and Green Tea. Umm... I didn't really taste any of it, more like little hints of Jasmine. At $11 for a medium (as of this review) there wasn't much flavor. The texture was good and the presentation was nice, that's about it. I still wish to try the EARL GREY LAVENDER. If there isn't a stark difference, then that trip will probably be my last visit...

These ice creams were absolutely incredible! The flavors were rich, unique, and definitely memorable. I will say it leans toward the pricier side, but it makes sense considering they use liquid nitrogen to create each batch and it really adds to the experience and quality. I have to highlight the Milk and Cereal flavor because it was completely trippy how it tasted like milk.... andddd cereal... It genuinely tasted like I was eating a bowl of milk and cereal in ice cream form. It sounds simple, but the execution is weirdly good. If you're even remotely a fan of that classic combo, you have to try it for yourself

Small batch ice cream in rose shape that crafted using liquid nitrogen and you can see how it made right in front of your eyes is what makes Cauldron Ice Cream stand out in compare with other competitors. The store is bright and quite spacious, with simple decoration and a few neon signs, aesthetic enough to snap a feel pictures and post on your ig. This is a self-serve type of ice cream store, I placed my order through a kiosk and just waiting to be call. Staff was friendly and my ice cream order was ready in 5 minutes. They have a solid menu with a few ice cream flavors and toppings. Also love that they offer puffle (bubble waffle) together with cup and cone, not a lot of ice cream store does that. Flavor wise, it does taste fresh and the ice cream have a very smooth texture but nothing to exceptional about it, I actually likes the puffle better than the ice cream itself. A little bit pricey but portion is pretty decent, definitely sharable with another person if you looking a for quick dessert after dinner. A great aesthetic spot to check out if you curios about how ice cream was made using liquid nitrogen.

I was a missing a little of home and this place first opened in OC. It was popular when it first opened and I haven't heard much since. I really like their earth moon star flavor, but it was sold out. Earl Grey (5/5): Got this was churro puff. It was light and not too flavorful. Definitely great if I wanted something refreshing. It's pretty pricey for ice cream, but I rally enjoyed this.

Friend took me to get ice cream and we decided on Earl Grey Lavender. We wanted the Sun Moon & Stars but sadly it was sold out by the time we arrived! Wait time wasn't too long at all despite each one being made to order. The ice cream was sweet and creamy and the earl grey flavor was strong. I loved it but I think it may have been a little too sweet for my liking. Yes it's ice cream but I'm Asian and prefer my dessert not too sweet. A medium was the perfect size to share. I like how the ice cream came in a cute presentable rose shape. Nothing too special but the ice cream was decent and service was good. I'd return to try the unique flavors if I'm in the area and craving ice cream but I wouldn't go out of my way as it's a bit of a drive for me.

Smooth and creamy ice cream. Pricey but delicious. Came in on a Friday night. No one was in line. I ordered a scoop of the lavender earl grey with a drizzle of honey and my husband ordered the smores and added caramel. Both were delicious. Presentation was pretty. Service was fast and friendly.

Sun Moon and Stars is probably my favorite flavor to get at Cauldron. It has a combination of Jasmine, Oolong, and Green tea. Not sure why over the past year, the sprinkles for this flavor is not offered as the default like it used to.

We stopped by after dinner and had a great experience. I ordered the Dubai Pistachio crunch cream, and my husband got Vanilla with a bubble waffle and oreo. I really enjoyed the Dubai pistachio crunch. It wasn't too sweet, but was super creamy, and I was lucky enough to get the last one of the day. It was pretty busy when we went, so there was a bit of a wait, but nothing too bad. It is a slightly higher price. But, after watching the staff make everything from scratch and seeing the effort that goes into each order, the slightly higher price felt worth it. The inside is cute and has plenty of parking nearby. The staff were really friendly, which made the visit even better.

Had a great time getting a sweet treat here with a friend! It wasn't busy when we arrived, but while we dining, a huge rush of people came in to order ice cream. The place had a small indoor with high and low table seatings. They've got a wide variety of flavors from classics to fusion flavors. The prices are somewhat steep with $9 for a small... The wait took about 10 minutes, it was so cool to see them use nitrogen for their ice cream making process. The ice cream rose designs are so aesthetic! I got the sun moon and stars, a cute blue hue with subtle notes of Asian tea flavors. Not too sweet, refreshing, and delicious. Would come here again if I was in the area!

It turns out I haven't been here in six years! I ordered the old-fashioned vanilla that way I could share it with my husky dog. I came late on a Saturday night. It's great that they are open late! Especially for being a dessert spot. It was cool seeing them make it with the nitrogen And the steam coming out from the pot. The rose shape of the ice cream looks cool. My dog and I enjoyed it in the car before driving home. It's easy to order from the computer and pay, but I wasn't able to enter my email because I couldn't find the @ symbol. When I asked the girl she couldn't find it either.

I first heard of this ice cream place from a school fundraiser, and I've been a couple of times since. Cauldron's ice cream is delicious, creamy, and served fairly quickly.

This is my third time at Marco Polo and it really hit the spot. The location is in Vietnam Town, on the far right side, next to Pho 90. When I went this time around, there was no lines but there were still people sitting in the store eating their desserts. Parking here can get tough because of the plaza itself so just a heads up to folks who do not frequent the area. What makes Marco Polo so special is their Asian gelato flavors that you cannot really get anywhere else (that to say a lot of places are now expanding their selections). This was the first spot where I could finally get my hands on durian gelato and it was absolutely delicious. The store itself has around 3 tables for you to sit in and is pretty bare boned. It is good for a grab and go but with the limited seating inside and outside you could spend some time here. Service is quick and you are able to try out some samples. This time around I ordered black sesame and Pandan, while my partner got mango and lychee. It was near close so they ran out of mangosteen unfortunately when I went. While the flavors were great, stood out, and were bold, I will say texturally it was a bit icey for my liking but that might have been because they started crystallizing from being out for a while. Overall, this is a small business I will continue to support!

The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, and I really liked the decorations inside. It is a comfortable place to sit, chat, and hang out with friends. Our group ordered the avocado smoothie, soursop green tea, and durian soy pudding. The durian soy pudding had that distinct durian smell, but the soy pudding made the overall flavor a little bland. The ratio might have been slightly off. Two of my friends ordered the avocado smoothie and thought it was okay, but they wished it had a stronger avocado flavor. The appetizers were the highlight for me. The popcorn chicken was definitely the best item we tried, and the curly fries were also good. There's also a solid drink menu with milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, and specialty coffees. I ordered the latte with matcha foam, and while I don't usually go for sweet drinks, this one was definitely on the sweeter side--but still really good. The matcha foam added a nice earthy balance to the coffee underneath. My friend got the three-color iced drink (the one with layered beans and jelly), and if you're into that texture and flavor profile, you'd probably enjoy it. The service stood out. The man helping us (possibly the owner) was very friendly, patient, and took the time to explain menu items, which I appreciated since some of the desserts aren't as familiar if you haven't had them before. The display case also looked well-stocked and clean, with everything neatly packaged and labeled, which made it easy to browse. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're in the area and want something a little different from the usual dessert shops.
