    Brownie Sundae

My friend and I ordered the brownie sundae with stellar strawberry (limited edition collab with the San Francisco Exploratorium) to share. I was looking forward to trying the matcha cookies and cream flavor, but it was sold out. The strawberry flavor was delicious and not neon pink/red in color so I think it is more "natural". The brownie was good flavor wise, but it was so hard. We could not break it up with the plastic spoons provided. We had to get a real bowl at home because we stabbed through the cardboard bowl trying to break up the brownie.

We stopped by the get an ice cream since it was close by. Humphry Slocombe is located in the Prunyard shopping center. It was just a small walk from Pacific Catch, where we had dinner. They weren't too busy, so we took our time trying to decide what flavor of ice cream to get. They have a lot of unique flavors. They also have a designated counter where you can stand and enjoy your ice cream inside. The young lady helping us was very nice and let us know that we could sample anything we'd like. We tasted a sample of the SF Fog. It's an Earl Grey ice cream with marshmallow fluff. It really did look like the fog in San Francisco. It was delicious. We both liked it. So we decided to get a scoop of that and a scoop of the Black Out. The Black Out ice cream is a chocolate ice cream mixed with brownies and Oreo cookies. We decided to eat it inside. The Black Out ice cream was so rich and delicious. The flavor of the SF Fog was perfect. It had a strong Earl Grey flavor. It's a perfect treat to end our evening out.

First time trying this place & it was realllly good. We came on a weekday & the ice creams they have aren't too sweet, but still very flavorful.

We go to Humphry Slocombe often, and it never disappoints. Summer is obviously the best time -- the vibe is lively, kids get to run around and play in the small play area right in front, and there are so many other food spots nearby that it's always buzzing. My go-to flavors are the salted caramel with cocoa nibs and the Vietnamese coffee -- both consistently solid and well balanced without being overly sweet. It's an easy favorite for us and a place we keep coming back to.

We tried this place for the first time last weekend. I really enjoyed my ice cream, which was called something like "special breakfast", a bourbon flavored ice cream with caramel and corn flakes. It was delicious. However, I didn't see another flavor that I would have wanted. And the one-scoop portion is really small, which makes this place pretty expensive for what you get. My husband got honeydew flavor and he liked it, but said it was not that great. So, we might go back, depending on what flavors they happen to have.

We've been to this location a handful of times now and are always so pleased! Today, there was quite the crowd right after lunch but the employee, Dylan, was a boss! He was sweet toward all the customers and got the line moving pretty quick. Today, we got a scoop of the Vietnamese coffee. It was perfect! I highly recommend this location!!! Will definitely be coming back!

Stopped by the Pruneyard location of Humphry Slocombe and ordered a combo that felt like dessert for grown-ups: Secret Breakfast paired with Toasted Marshmallow Fluff and Honey Graham with Toasted Marshmallow Fluff as well! The Secret Breakfast flavor was rich and boozy in the best way. The bourbon came through but didn't overpower, and the cornflake crunch added a great texture contrast. Definitely not your average scoop. But the surprise favorite? Honey Graham with marshmallow fluff. The ice cream had a warm, graham cracker sweetness that paired perfectly with the sticky, cloud-like fluff on top. It was like a deconstructed s'more in scoop form -- cozy, nostalgic, and super satisfying. Only reason for 4 stars is the portion felt a bit small for the price, and the fluff got a little too sticky after a while -- but honestly, the creativity and bold flavors made up for it. Definitely a spot to hit if you're in the mood for something playful, nostalgic, and just a little extra.

Secret Breakfast & Yellow Brick Road

NGL. Humphry Slocombe is one of my favorite ice cream spots. I used to beg my friends/family to trek all the way down to the Ferry Building in SF just get the sweet, sweet taste of their Secret Breakfast. I'm not ashamed to say that I am more than a little obsessed. Imagine my elation to the discovery of them opening up a shop in the Pruneyard. Only 4 minutes drive away from my apartment. ::Sigh:: Destiny? I like to think of it at such. I recently got a double scoop there. One was my trusty Secret Breakfast and the other was Yellow Brick Road. It was late and the worker was incredibly sweet. The friend that I had in tow was shocked at the flavors. How does one pick only one flavor when these are so unique. After taking her time to sample a few, she finally made a decision. Admittedly, I have no idea what her decision was because I was too busy looking at the prepped pints in the cozy shop's freezer. Needless to say, it's a go-to for me when I'm wanting some "skeems."

My son usually goes to this place with his friends and begged me to take him and his sister there for dessert after eating at Luna kitchen after hyping it up during dinner. They definitely lived up to the hype in my opinion. Service was great, the girl that was working let us try a few different flavors because they were all made in different types of ice cream that were made in house and not your traditional flavors. The vibe in there reminded me of a place that would be in downtown there was hand written signs inside and outside w the flavors of the day. Lots of space to sit and eat outside.

The service is fast. You can sample the ice cream selections. I got the secret smores sundae with secret breakfast ice cream. It was delicious. My favorite part was the toasted marshmallow on top.

The nice thing about this place is that they update their flavors a lot! They do scoops (cups) and cones. I tried a lavender flavor and milk and cookies flavor ice cream here and it is delicious! They do let you sample the flavors so that was the nice thing. Prices are really good for the proportions you get too. It's kinda hidden under a two story plaza(first floor) But the door was open and I like the graffiti art. There are stalls but no chair to eat ice cream, so it's more of a grab and go place. Service was nice. Overall really good ice cream quality.

stopped by here for a post lunch treat today and stumbled upon the in your dreams collab, that I was watching last night on Netflix! Got to sample baloney Tony's ultimate breakfast and it was so good!!! Bc it reminds me of similar flavor profiles to one of my all time fave ice creams, Turkey from salt n straw!! Will be sure to come try the other collab flavors from in your dreams, the nightmara which is blueberry flavored I believe!!

There's a number of tables outside for you to enjoy your ice cream. We got the Dole whip and black raspberry. The Dole whip tastes like the real thing! Really refreshing and enriched with pineapple flavor, super airy, light, and easy to go down. And the height of the swirl is perfect. The black raspberry is tangy, making the ice cream less sweet than usual, which I enjoyed. It was creamy and rich, good contrast to the airiness of the Dole whip. Will 100% be back!

Anyway I finally stopped in. Outside they have a hand written a sign with a list of 36 different flavors of which I sampled 2 (the Mango & strawberry cheesecake) the mango honestly did not taste like mango at all so I ended up getting the strawberry cheesecake and cookie dough. The ice cream is definitely a good quality as it is very creamy and dense, i'm talking gelato dense. Unfortunately the strawberry cheesecake had a "been in the freezer to long taste" maybe not too many people order it but still it's not an experience you want in your mouth when you are paying a premium price for a scoop of ice cream. The cookie dough was good and had a lot of chunks of cookie dough. The service is good but not what I would call outstanding "like someone is glad to see you, if you get my drift" the inside looks a bit outdated and could use a freshening up. Honestly overall experience for me kind of laid flat 2.5 max, aka mediocre.

I went to pick up some truffles as a gift and after reading how delicious they sounded, like a kahlua and orange truffle, I walked away with some for myself as well. So far I've only tried one, but it was so delightful! Rich, creamy, and full of delicious chocolate and orange flavor. I will be heading back soon to get some more and potentially more as gifts as well. We received great customer service from the girl working, she was patient and willing to answer all of our questions about the truffles. They also have gelato, which I have been wanting to go get for a long time. Sadly they close at 5, so I haven't been able to get it just yet...but soon I will make it happen.

They did not understand at all, and I unfortunately had to ultimately give up and leave as it was just not working out. Chocolate places that put cocoa butter and/or sunflower/soy lecithin are cheating BIG TIME. If your cacao beans are good enough, you do NOT need any of that hot garbage in your chocolate. This place puts cocoa butter at the minimum, I wasn't able to figure out if there were any emulsifiers like lecithin. All I saw were some glitzy decorated truffles that did not match what I was looking for obviously. Could not recommend this place at all to other Yelpers -- there are so many better fair-trade craft chocolate places in the Bay Area.
