There were 24 different ice creams to choose from, as well as pints/quarts to buy separate. Cones cost more but nothing outrageous. The server was so kind and helpful and got us some samples. I got a small scoop of "Heaven" and Heaven, it was! Cookies/brownies, peanut butter, chocolate swirled in vanilla ice cream- yum!! My husband got a plain vanilla because he wanted to make an affogato. Unfortunately, happy scoops didn't have decaf but the did have regular if you're not affected by caffeine. Yay for Marianne's ice cream! I went here with my son yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the customer service by a young worker. She was very cheerful and made us feel very welcomed. It was refreshing to see that customer service still exists! My son and I shared a scoop of the chocolate ice cream. The scoop was very generous and it was $6 for a size small. If you've had Marianne's ice cream then you will know it's on the sweeter side but definitely great if you're craving something sweet. I have been here once last summer and noticed that they no longer have tables/chairs inside. I wish they would bring this back. This is now a grab and go ice cream spot since there are no tables/chairs available. Other than that, the service here alone from the young lady deserves 5-stars. :) read more

My husband and I stopped by Happy Scoops on a Sunday afternoon since we were in the area and I was craving ice cream. We were the second customers in the store at the time. While the staff person was helping the first customer, we took a look at the flavor selection. They have a variety of Marianne's Ice Cream flavors to choose from (and they have all of my favorites, which is a plus). They also have ice cream by the quart. We eventually settled for the XL size cup and chose the flavors we wanted: mint chip, cookies and cream, and vanilla bean. The ice cream was delicious and great quality, of course, since it was Marianne's ice cream. The store itself was very clean and tidy. There are no chairs or tables to eat ice cream in or around the store, so plan to enjoy your ice cream on the go. The store itself is located in a newer/newly renovated strip mall. Happy Scoops is a somewhat cute but also somewhat sterile ice cream shop near the Almaden area. Practically everything (walls. floors, tables, freezer) is white (except for some pink wainscoting) so it has the vibe of a hospital. It's in a strip mall next to a run down 7-11. At about 7pm on Sunday, this place was dead quiet. The ice cream (made by Marianne's) is great as you would expect. The scoops were generous. But this is an ice cream shop. And it should be happy (no pun intended) , friendly and lively. The staff (owner??) should be smiling and cheerful. He wasn't and this place was practically deserted. We weee there for almost 20 minutes as the only customers but somebody else came in as we left. read more

Our new favorite place after sweet rendezvous closed! Super nice staff! Dubai chocolate is my absolutely favorite even though I don't like chocolate ice cream in general (I was hesitant to try it) but it was actually really good and it looks amazing too. Can't go wrong with Marianne's ice cream. It's a small but very clean shop in the strip mall by Cahalan. Parking is plentiful and the place is easy to find in the restored Cahalan Plaza (the one that burned down a while back). The ice cream here is fantastic and creamy. I got vanilla bean (and it was solidly good one) and coconut pineapple. I'm so glad the coconut one did not taste like what I like to refer to as sun tan lotion. My child got mint chocolate and the 1044?. The one with oreo and chocolate chip. It was a winner flavor according to my kid. The owner was super generous with the scoops as well.
