My husband and I were craving pizza after our Flatirons hike. This place did not disappoint! We had the Bella salad -super refreshing and unusual w/an herb dressing--and a classic Hawaiian. I've gotta say this pizza and crust were the best I've ever had-the toppings were fresh and yummy. But the crust-oh man, the crust was crispy and light but also a little chewy. Hands down my favorite, and I've tried NY and Chicago pizza (don't shoot me NYC and Chi-town friends). There's also wine and beer and more on tap for a fun vibe. Have been to Barchetta many times. Amazing pizza, including unique vegetarIan options. Very reasonable prices for a generous (double) slice at lunch and delicious small salads. The wings are also great and there are a variety of inventive veggie appetizers. The current mini corn cobs are so delicious. Friendly and attentive staff members are also great with kids. If you love pizza , you will love Barchetta! Located inside a former garage, the space is funky and inviting. Jesse(?) explained the menu to us and also the super cool self-serve beverage system. My son and I ordered the Queen pizza- an anything but basic margherita pie that is perfectly delicious! Super thin wood fired crust, sweet and tangy fresh basil and fresh mozzarella. The Cesar salad was fresh, crunchy and extra garlicky! The staff is friendly and attentive. Parking is a breeze on this section of Walnut Street. read more

Not sure why Barchetta did not show up in my search for amazing pizza around Boulder. What a surprise, not only was the food great, the staff was incredible. Had to give compliments to the owner/manager, it was the best service we've received in town since we got here almost 3 months ago. East coast pizza snob family loved the red and white pies. Excellent thin crust with blistered edges. The tap wall had a good range of beers and wine and was a cool way to do a personalized tasting. I don't usually go crazy for a pepperoni pizza, but this one was outstanding. Seriously! we Also tried the Bianca and caramelized onions are the way to my heart. The beer / tap bar thing is super cool and im excited to go back and give it another try! im happy to see a great new spot just off pearl on the east end of the mall as I think it'll bring in a lot of local traffic as opposed to some of the more tourist / visitor oriented spots in the area. I am writing this review before my pizza has even arrived to the table... We walked in for a Friday date night, and no staff acknowledged us. This is a no reservations restaurant but we waited at the counter for a good five minutes before we were even graced with an "I'll be right with you". After a few more minutes of waiting we were able to place an order for a pizza and a Caesar salad. They explained the hip new way of drinking where patrons get a drink card and scan it to pour their own beer and wine. It is a very novel and cool way to serve yourself and have drinks without waiting. But, when I started pouring my beer all that came out was foam and more foam, looks like someone needs to go back to college. Accepting the fact that I was charged for a full glass of beer and only got foam, we headed back to our table. This is where the 2/5 star was earned! Our salad was waiting for us and oh boy was it inedible. It looked great, fresh greens and fresh ground parm.We have had plenty of Caesar salads before and never had anything so fishy. Over all the salad tasted like it was dressed with the sour remains of a fish market floor. The pizza has come! It was quickly dropped off at our table without a word or time to ask for accoutrements. When we walked up and asked for Parmesan and red pepper flakes we were given two packets of each. Not enough. The pizza was good but the crust could have been a bit more firm, too much flop. Overall, it is a neat restaurant with unique practices. I had a really bad experience tonight. I placed an order online and was told it would be ready at 6:45 PM. When I showed up to collect the order I was told the kitchen was behind and my order would only be ready at 7:15 PM (30 minutes after the given pick up time) The worst part was the staff were rude and the order was delayed. Barchetta has become one of my favorite pizza places in Boulder, or maybe ever. It's a little pricey but well worth the money. The staff is so kind and helpful to any questions that you have. The bee Thousand pizza is my favorite pizza there and I was surprised that the balance of sweetness and spiciness was perfect. My best friend that I go there with is gluten-free and she never stops raving about how great the pizza tastes. It has always been hard for her to find a gluten-free pizza that "doesn't taste like cardboard". Barchetta does it right. I also love the retro decor inside the restaurant it gives off such a great ambiance. definitely recommend this place to anyone living in Boulder or stopping by. read more
