Horrible experience. I had an appointment here to look at a Focus that had been set aside. When I got there, the sales guy was on the phone so I waited. When he finally got off the phone, the front desk guys who were supposed to be assisting customers, were working on their push-ups in a room next to the front door. So I waited for another few minutes until they finally realized that the sales guy was off the phone. By the time I sat down with him, I was already frustrated. Instead of being met by a friendly sales person, it seemed more like he was annoyed to have to show me a focus, and would rather be helping some guy find a big truck. (I am a single woman, and was shopping alone) After the test drive, we came back and went over numbers. I was low balled on my trade in by over a thousand dollars, and he was already trying to add on clear coat and all kinds of fees before we'd even settled on a fair value. It was ridiculous. Then his lease guy came out and was trying to push me into buying (again, we hadn't even come close to agreeing on a trade in value or price or anything). Overall they were rude & pushy. Let's face it: buying a car is not a fun experience. It involves a lot of money and there is pressure to make a deal quickly. And if you're like me and your credit is in recovery and you need financing, it can add some extra bumps in the road. That said, the experience I had at Freeway Ford was about as good as I could expect, especially considering my circumstances. I appreciate that they showed me a vehicle that I could realistically get financing for, and one that happened to be one I liked. I didn't feel pressured to purchase and the salesman was friendly. There were some snafus with the financing but they went above and beyond what I would expect to keep me in the car I had first selected. They could have just said "sorry, tough luck!" but they kept on working to find a bank that would take me on. Eric and Stephanie in the finance department are especially notable for all the hard work they put in for me. This is only the third vehicle I have ever purchased, the second one with financing, and the first one I financed entirely on my own. I certainly will be back when I need another vehicle and will be recommending them to friends and coworkers. Awful experience- spent $10k plus and 4 trips back because they kept finding stuff even after the initial radio problem did not work. Claimed battery had a faulty cell and the alternator was out, Not true - tested later. 4 trips to get the satellite working. I am sure somethings had to be replaced but not across 4 sessions. To Whom It May Concern, I recently brought my 2017 F-150 into the service department at Barbee's to have an issue with the auto start/stop looked at. My truck was lurching/leeping/jolting back into gear upon the restart. After keeping the car overnight (despite making a 7am appt on the first day) the service tech's were able to replicate my issue but were not familiar with the issue/cause and gave the truck back to me while they contacted someone at Ford for help. About a week later, I got a call saying they had more information and asked if I could drop the truck off again and that a loaner vehicle would be available if it took longer than a day but they did not anticipate that occurring. I dropped it off early again (3/8/21) and heard nothing all day until around 2ish when they said literally "everyone had blown it off" so he was going to look into it again. Called back at 4pm and they weren't able to figure anything out and would need to keep it overnight again. But no loaners were available. I'll be looking for a more reputable service dealer from here on out. This experience comes after I previously took my truck in due a noise coming from the wheel which I later found out to be a known problem with the hubs/solenoid on the 4WD actuator. During that experience the technician said "Oh yeah we know its an issue but its not really hurting anything so I wouldn't worry". Great service after spending 50K on a vehicle. As someone who works in customer service, this is about as bad as it gets guys. I purchased the truck from here and they can barely make time to take a look at it, much less actually solve the issue. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!! I took my truck here for service and have made 7 trips back for continued issues. I since have my truck at a different dealership. Barbee's has created electrical and transmission issues by their poor work. Original repair was for an oil leak, and after bringing my truck to a different dealership they found the same leak exists. Even after Barbee's supposedly fixed it. I would caution anyone thinking of bringing your vehicle here for repair. Do yourself a favor and drive anywhere else. I mean anywhere else, its worth the effort. The 'Manager' is rude and does not follow through with commitments. I tried to get a copy of all repairs and visits and was met with insolence. read more

Edit 2: I have been informed that I am no longer welcome to get service from Freeway Ford because "despite of how well they took care of me, I still gave them poor reviews on the internet". Edit: Oly from Freeway ford has contacted me and taken care of me. We had a difference in terminology, which was the cause of what I was calling my air dam to not be looked at. He spoke to me personally and offered me a free oil change for my trouble, which was very much appreciated, as well as fixed the front air dam. Original: I took my Ford Fiesta to have warranty service done on the HVAC system. When I was told the service was done, I went to drive my car away, and there was a brake pedal position sensor hitting my foot because it was dangling by the cord. I told the service department what was going on, and they had someone come out and put it back. I then tried to drive away, and found my brakes locked. I once again asked for someone to come complete the work on my car. A technician was able to come unlock my brakes so that I was able to drive away. From the second I started driving, I noticed a metallic rattling that had not been present in my car before. A few days later, I also found another sensor hitting my foot because it had not been reinstalled correctly. While attempting to put the sensor back myself, I found that the rattling was coming from a nut that had not been properly tightened on the lower airbag unit, right below the steering wheel. I spoke to Shawna Carter. a customer relations specialist, whom apologized profusely, and offered to fix the unfinished work on my car, give it a detail, give me a free oil change, do an inspection on my car to see if everything else was in proper condition, and give me a loaner car while that work was being done. Because clutch sensor was causing the car to run improperly, I reattached it correctly myself, and torqued the airbag nuts so they were properly tight. When I took my car in, I specifically said that I would like the rear bushings, driver's side half-shaft, and from air dam inspected to see if it was still in good working order (because I suspected it was rattling on the passenger side). 4 days later (including 2 weekend days), I got my car back, washed and detailed, with a sheet itemizing all that had been inspected and done on my car, specifically including that the front air dam was attached properly. Later, I put my car on jacks and inspected it myself to see if what they had said was in good condition truly was. While inspecting the front air dam, I found that a mount for it had broken some time in the past, and that it was rattling against the body of the car. read more

We HAD been happy satisfied customers of Barbee's for years. We brought several Fords as well as other brands there for service and were always pleased, which is why that was our first choice when we were in the market for a used car about a year ago. We were looking for something economical and got good MPG. We wound up buying a four door Fiesta, that they "proudly" told us was a one-owner vehicle, and that "since it was so new, the factory warranty would still apply." We have had numerous problems with the clutch slipping, and have had it replaced twice. I got one of those dashboard idiot lights that told me my tire pressure was low, so I aired up all four tires to 45 p.s.i. Five hours later, one tire is completely flat. Now, I don't hold Barbee's accountable for road hazards or flat tires, but when I dug the spare out of the trunk, you can well imagine my dismay to find a tag zip-tied to the spare tire from BUDGET RENTAL CAR. Really??!!! BUDGET RENTAL CAR is the "one owner" you were so proud to buy this car off of? No wonder the clutch is shot! Go to change the tire, and find that one of the lug nuts is rounded over from the previous "one owner". To make matters worse, when they did the paperwork for the registration, DESPITE having both my and my wife's driver's licenses in their hands, they wrote down the address as "2000 MyStreet, Lakewood, CO," instead of the "2000 SOUTH MyStreet, Lakewood, CO", where I actually live. That's 40 blocks away. That's FIVE MILES NORTH of where I live. We paid our registration fees and waited for the tags to arrive..... only they went to the wrong address, and now, some schumck is driving around on free tags for a year that we paid for. Now, I have to take time out of my day, drive over to any JeffCo office and correct THEIR mistake in person. Oh... and I work in Henderson. Way to go, Barbee's Freeway Ford... you've lost a once-happy and satisfied customer FOREVER. read more

In the process of purchasing a Ford Explorer from Freeway Ford, it was sold to someone else. We are a military family returning from an oversea tour trying to coordinate a purchase of a vehicle upon our return to the US. We selected a vehicle, were given the price and agreed to the purchase. We started paperwork, as was asked if we could have family members in the local area accomplish a power of attorney to make it easier instead of mailing paperwork back and forth. We did the coordination and let the salesman know we could and the POA would be complete in the next few days to a week. They had no issue with this, but within two days they sold it to another person. The dealership stated since that did not have the POA in hand they sold it. Which of course was not stated or a condition of the purchase. Beware of your dealings with this company, a lack of integrity in something as simple as this could be a systemic issue throughout the entire business. read more

By far the worst experience I have had with any so called professional service shop. Jorge is extremely rude, unfriendly and unprofessional as they come. This shop is a total mess along with its employees. They had my car for two weeks to do a water pump change. They ordered parts for the wrong car, gave a me the run around and they had to wait several days until they could find someone skilled enough to do the job.... when I got the car back there was a mix of two different types of antifreeze in the reservoir... l can go on and go. On top of that the car has had many cooling system related issues since they changed the water pump... These guys are total hacks. STAY AWAY FROM FREEWAY FORD!!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! We bought my wife a Mach-E here back in April and it had a few recalls that needed addressed. We scheduled to bring it in on a Thursday morning, they told us it would be 4 days to work on. 5 days later not a single call from anyone. We called 3 times and no one answered, we sent an email and nothing. The next day we finally reached someone and they told us they are still working on it and will have an update the next day. 2 days later nothing, I called and left a message again and never got a response. I finally called and asked to talk to the General Manager, they said he was in a meeting and would get back to me within 30 minutes, 5 hours later nothing, I called again and they said he was there and would transfer me, it went to voicemail so I left a message and nothing. I finally reached someone at service and explained that it had been a week and a half and I needed the car back since we were leaving town for a week. We went and picked it up and after a week and a half nothing was even fixed and never got a call back from the General manager. So ridiculous! Terrible terrible customer service. Upon arriving this location at 7PM when I had a 7PM appointment, this guy tells me the dealership closed and gives me a condescending look and starts to lecture me as if I'm not supposed to be there. I told him I had an appointment, and he starts giving me lip about my presence even though they closed an hour and a half early and calls me rude and asks me to leave the premise and not come back. I write a review about this and how I had to take my business elsewhere, and he responds that he doesn't sell cars to my kind anyway and doesn't care that I bought elsewhere. I scheduled an online appointment for service; Got the confirmation and not one but two reminders reminding me the at j had scheduled time with and advisor and how important it was to keep my appointment . I show up and they have no record. I offer to show them the confirmation and he says no! Then he tells me it'll be 3 or 4 days before they'd even look at my car and then however long to fix it. Their service department sucks and is unreliable. I called on April 2nd to make an appointment, made an appointment for May 30th- Memorial Day- because I knew id have a ride back from dropping my car off. Made a comment about it on the phone with the scheduler she said "that will be nice". Get there on Memorial Day and they're closed. Wouldn't have assumed that they were open if I didn't have an appointment and if google maps didn't say they were open but according to google and my appointment they were open! I called the next morning got it in on Tuesday May 31st. Was told they'd do the door hinge recall first then diagnose the problem which we knew was with the transmission. Thursday June 2nd I get a call this is what needs to be done this is how much it costs. Said I had to talk to my parents. Called and texted the shop Friday morning. Monday night I get a call saying "hey what's the decision on the car nothings being done right now". Get confirmation it will be ready Friday. They didn't start working on it until Wednesday but we wouldn't know that until we pick up the car and are looking at the paperwork at home. Friday I called again for an update and was told they were just starting to put it back together. I wouldn't have called if the person who was driving me didn't live an hour away from the shop- I would've trusted they would call by the end of the day or early the next day. I wouldn't have gone to this shop if I didn't need a transmission technician. I picked up my car Tuesday June 14th and today June 15th my car overheated, stalled, and leaked fluid everywhere. Brought my car to that Ford shop and it will need even more repairs now. I've just moved into an apartment in the area (still about 30 min away) and am currently on a job search. I'm under 21 and have no access to rental cars. My car was sitting in that shop with nothing being done for an extra week and they didn't even fix it to a point I can drive it. There was little communication from the shop and when there was it wasn't helpful. read more

I purchased a 2014 Z51 Vet there around the beginning of summer. After I got it home I noticed that it had something hanging directly behind the right front tire. Upon further inspection I saw that it was a piece of the wheel well. I looked even closer and found silver duct tape that was covering a whole in the rocker panel. I had tp drive from Loveland, CO all the way down there for them to inspect a car the had already put 4 new tires on. There's no way they could have put those tires on the vet and not seen the whole n the rocker panel! They agreed to pay to have it fixed. After I got it back I noticed something wrong on the hatch. I had a paint guy look at it. Turns out it was fish eye. There was clearcoat overspray on the hatch window. The hatch had been worked on. I recently worked with Pierce at Freeway Ford to lease a new Ford Expedition Max Platinum. I was nervous going into the process because I was making a change from a Chevy Suburban LTZ and not sure about changing from Chevy to Ford. However, the brand new body model and all of the amazing bells and whistles with the new Expedition had me and my family sold. (My first car many years ago was also a Ford Mustang so I was looking forward to returning to Ford.) I researched pricing and options and considered using a dealership that is closer to my home, however I much preferred the knowledge, professional attitude of the sales staff and competitive pricing at Barbee's. They were also much more knowledgable about the vehicle I was being and taught me a lot during the process. I would highly recommend them and solidly give Pierce a 5 Star rating. I have now been driving my new Expedition for about a week and a half and the only recommendation I would make if you are looking at the new Expedition is to seriously reconsider whether to get the in head rest DVD system. It is in the driver and front passenger headrests and while my children in the back love them, they seem to have a poor ergonomic design and push my head too far forward to be comfortable while driving. My neck has been in a lot of pain since I began driving the vehicle. Passengers have also complained of the same thing. This is definitely nothing that the dealership has any fault in and hopefully we can make some adjustments or change out the headrests to help with the issue. I'm visiting the dealership tomorrow to see what can be done. And outside of this issue everything else about the new Expedition is fantastic. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Barbee's if you are in the market for a new Ford. They are terrific! read more

I have bought over ten cars in the last six years and I have to say that I am most impressed with my experience at Freeway Ford. From the point of first contact with the dealership/Mark O Faircy, there was no BS, no pressure, no games, Mark had a willingness to match or beat any deal I brought to him, and everything was driven towards providing me with the best Customer experience. I am extremely picky, I wanted a car that had just got on the lot, with very low miles, and Mark found exactly what I wanted. I'm confident that I got the best price I possibly could have gotten, from any dealership, in the Denver area. And I say that with a lot of confidence as I am very diligent in my research wouldn't settle for anything than the "best deal possible". Mark gave me that off the bat, without having to go back or worth, or spend a lot of time negotiating. Cody took over the deal once I got to the dealership and was also very accommodating and professional. As were all the other staff I had contact with at the dealership. The total time we had to spend at the dealership was less than an hour and I respect that they respected my time and closed my deal quickly. If you're looking to buy a new Ford I would strongly encourage to make this your first, or your last stop, but I can tell you that you won't find a better experience in town. I was hoping to sign and drive. It did take a little longer than I hoped because I had a bit of a family emergency and showed up right before closing. They welcomed me right in. Multiple people stopped by to chat, congratulate me on my new car, and thank me for buying there. I received multiple follow ups and a particularly nice contact from Dustin. Don't bring your car here for service!!! I'd been having a scraping sound coming from under my 2011 Ford Fusion. I'd been to Freeway Ford before but for regular maintenance like tune-ups and they'd been okay. But this time I had my first real problem with my car. To make a long story short, I had to take it in twice and pay $700 total and the noise still wasn't fixed. So instead I searched for other service centers that work on Ford Fusions and found Littleton Auto Repair, with great reviews. Even though it's farther away from me than Freeway, I took my car there, they diagnosed and fixed the problem and I drove out with only a $191 bill. My car's fine again, Freeway has lost my business and my referrals and LAR has a new loyal customer (and no, I have no other connection to them). Next is a letter to Freeway asking for my $700 back. I recently purchased a 2015 Certified Pre-owned F-150 from Freeway Ford. My salesman Russ was excellent and committed to ensuring the process was smooth from beginning to end. I did extensive homework on pricing and features and I chose Freeway Ford because the pricing was fair and extremely competitive. In terms of the purchasing experience, we negotiated slightly over the phone which alleviated the traditional painful experience of sitting in a dealership for hours on end only to play games with the manager while the salesman jumps in between. I tried that at Larry Miller Ford and left feeling frustrated and insulted (I now refuse to buy a car there even if it was cheaper). The truck at Freeway Ford was priced appropriately to begin with which made negotiations practically unnecessary. When it came time to process the deal, Russ walked me through each step and was helpful with his advice while being fully transparent and communicative. When I met with the finance manager Doug, I felt zero pressure whatsoever and he was quick while being personable. When I picked up the truck, it was spotless and every little detail I mentioned to Russ was taken care of. Russ then took the time to go over all the features and answer any final questions. No rush whatsoever. He truly took ownership over my satisfaction and I genuinely appreciated that. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised by my experience. It was quick, personable, and fair. Truck has been there for 2 weeks and they say it will be another week. Totally non-communitive. I'm in sales and need a car for work. No offers for a loaner even for a day. Hint to Barbee...If you don't have a part for the truck maybe you should order it and then have me come back in once you actually receive it. Oh and if I have two issues maybe just maybe you should order both parts not just one. If it isn't warranty work stay the hell out of this place. This is the second major issue we have had with their service center. Last issue they literally did not add oil to the car after an oil change. -I did not leave a review after that experience- You can see by my Yelp reviews I am very active on Yelp and very rarely give out the 1 star. This dealership engages in all of the typical high-pressure sales tactics you hear about. I only completed the purchase because they were the only place in town that had the vehicle and options I wanted. Three times during the purchase experience our salesperson had to "check with his manager" to adjust the price. He told us we were required to meet with their insurance person who is really just an in-house insurance salesman trying to sell you a policy (for which he will also phone and email relentlessly if you refuse). After purchase, their marketing machine goes into full swing and harasses via email, phone, and mail. Within three months of purchase I was receiving buy-out letters and phone calls on my truck and in the years since, I still can't get them to stop. My vehicle has two safety recalls which I tried to schedule. Not five minutes after scheduling the appointment, I received a new wave of marketing emails and a personal phone call from one of their sales people asking if I would like to sell them my truck instead of having it fixed- at a fraction of it's value, of course. Steer clear. This is my neighborhood Ford Service Center and I'm perfectly happy taking it to another Ford Service Center 10 miles away just so I don't have to deal with Freeway Ford. read more
