I was craving something hearty and healthy so naturally, I went for the pearly bowl which originally comes with couscous, roasted cauliflower, golden raisins (trust me these add THEEEE touch), pickled red onions (YUM), tahini sauce, avocado, and a lemon-mint vinaigrette - THISSSSSS. I ended up substituting the couscous for quinoa which was perfect for the type of meal I wanted before traveling. Can we talk about that lemon-mint vinaigrette? It's perfectly green and brings the whole bowl together, SO GOOD. Wish I would've gotten a whole side of that. Ordering delivery through Yelp is so easy thanks to DoorDash and I was so thankful I didn't have to be stuck eating chips and m&ms - love these but I needed a little something more. Next time you're taking a flight from Newburgh airport be sure to get delivery from Ms Fairfax. Can't wait to try their crepes and green goddess wrap from their breakfast and lunch menu!

Street parking available, as well as a municipal lot around the corner. Near a historic site to check out as well, Washington Headquarters. Greeted as I walked in, asked if I had reservations (which I didn't), I was shown the tables available inside & was told I could sit in the back area as well. They also have a cute table in the front outside as well. I sat in the backyard while I waited for my friend to arrive. The establishment has a chill summer vibe. All the staff were friendly & attentive. The special was the red snapper & OMG, they need to just put it on the menu! It was delicious, fried to perfection & had alot of meat. I am not a hummus fan but the appetizer my friend orderd-the hummus was tasty.

The bistro has a cute exterior offering a few outdoor seats and a minimal but stylish interior and is perfect if you want to stay and chill or get your food to go. This isn't Subway so the sandwiches are priced above $10, but considering the quality and quantity (and maybe because I'm just acclimated to paying ridiculous prices in the City) you definitely get your money's worth. I heartily enjoyed the sliced hanger steak sandwich and found the mix of horseradish mayo, sautéed mushrooms, and arugula on a toasted ciabatta to be perfection. I also tried the fried chicken sandwich which was well seasoned and made all that much better with the sriracha mayo and pickles! I will be back for certain to explore the rest of the sandwich and salad options, especially the capers and oyster mushroom sandwiches and roasted beet and goat cheese salads. They also offer baked goods from Newburgh Flower Shop down the block as well as a variety of coffee and tea drinks. If you get pickup, call the restaurant directly because the prices through Doordash are higher to compensate for the fees the restaurant has to pay. Good to have Toasted on the Liberty Street scene!

The bread was sturdy and crusty and crunchy on the outside. The oyster mushrooms were accompanied with a lovely spicy aioli and pickles. Even though it may a cost a little more than a sandwich from a national chain, the food is made with lots of care with fresh ingredients and the portion is enough for two lunches (at least for me). It was a little messy so I was glad I was outside to enjoy it. It's a small space inside (perhaps 5 square table for 2 each) and it's almost kitty corner to my favorite shop, Oliver & Chatfield. Since it's a little further down on Liberty street, you'll find plenty of street parking.

The meal probably won't be revolutionary, but a very solid spot for the area and very convenient if you're watching a movie before/after. Food came out relatively quick! People in the area clearly knew that this was the place to be and I felt lucky to be able to get a table right away! To be honest, I was still pretty full from breakfast that day so I wasn't able to truly enjoy as much as I'd have liked to, but between my husband and I we got 2 of the mushroom & shishito tacos, he got the cauliflower taco, and we shared the mushroom taquitos and a small guacamole and chips. This was the perfect amount for us as we needed what was basically a snack then. I wish I had more room to stuff in another mushroom & shishito taco because it was pretty darn phenomenal. The restaurant was on the water and the view was pretty phenomenal as well. You could tell it was a big draw for the restaurant itself and I hope to be back one day!

So flavorful. I also had the Korean BBQ short rib bowl with brown rice. It was excellent . It had some spice to it and sweetness from the sauce. My sister-in-law in law had one of the drinks. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The servers know the menu well and are happy to make recommendations, making every visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. One of our favorite times to visit is for their weekend brunch buffet, which offers a great variety of options. During the week, their Happy Hour (4-7 PM) is another favorite, especially the $1 oysters. It gets busy, so I definitely recommend arriving early. Just keep in mind that Happy Hour is available only in the bar and lounge area. The restaurant is clean, has a spacious parking lot shared with the neighboring restaurant, and offers a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the river during the warmer months. The patio closes for the winter, but it's one of the best places to dine when the weather is nice. They also have a kids' menu, although my 6-year-old usually orders from the regular menu because she has a very adventurous palate. If you're looking for great seafood, excellent service, gorgeous waterfront views, and one of the best dining experiences in Newburgh, Blu Pointe is an easy recommendation. We went for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how attentive the service was. The setting alone is quiet, scenic, and relaxing, adding to the experience feeling special. We're particular about cocktails, and the specialty drinks leaned a bit sweet and light for our taste, but switching to a Grey Goose martini solved that quickly. The standout of the meal was the special appetizer, the Lobster Escargot. Between the bread service and the rich, bisque-like sauce layered over the classic preparation, I could have happily ended the meal right there. We left no trace behind. I followed with the crab cake and wedge salad. The crab cake was generously sized, very fresh, and exactly what I hoped for. My husband ordered the branzino, which was absolute perfection, beautifully cooked and full of flavor. The sides, however, were less memorable; the smashed potatoes and green beans felt under-seasoned and a bit boring compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, it was a lovely anniversary lunch with memorable dishes and a beautiful view.
