If you are doing a giant dinner reservation with great vibes and a view, this is your spot. My wife and I used to drive from Napa to come here for the pizza. I drove here specifically to bring my visiting granddaughter because I said the mushroom pizza was the best I ever had. Well, quite a disaster. We had an appetizer and ordered 2 pizzas. We waited and waited. I finally saw the person we gave our order to and asked to check, and she came back and said she wasn't really our server but took our order and gave it to our server and he forgot to put it in. So we waited again. People next to us who were seated after us, ordered, got their pizza, and left while we still waited. The pizzas finally arrived. The mushroom pizza was a disappointment. The crispy crust I remembered was soggy and the topping was light and really did not impress. After we finished we waited for a server again to maybe ask if coffee, another drink, or dessert was needed - no one came. Then I waited for the bill. Still no one. I finally went into the bar and asked for the manager, who didn't ask what happened when I said his service was terrible. Anyway, I did get the bill, and they did add a discount, but in 2 hours, I never knew or saw our server. We used to recommend this place to many people passing through, no more. Came here for a post-hike drink which we enjoyed by the fire pit. It was a warm afternoon so the fire wasn't actually going, but it was still a fun vibe to be lounging around it. We ordered a Pomegranate Sparkler pitcher inside at the bar and brought it outside to the covered patio. It was such a nice and refreshing drink to enjoy on a sunny and beautiful day. I'm not sure how good of a deal the pitcher actually is, as it costs more than buying 4 of the drinks individually, but the convenience of not having to get up and wait in line for another drink was worth it. The location of this bar is great, it overlooks the water so it is very pretty! My friends and I came for a round of drinks before dinner. We asked the host stand for a table of four and they sat us pretty quick. After ordered all of our drinks, our server asked us if we wanted to order food and we said no we are just having a quick drink. Then she proceeded to rudely announce we must order food because all tables must order food. I understand if this is a rule, however the host should have notified us before sitting us. Also ordering 4 drinks was already more than the price of some of the appetizers so it doesn't really make sense. Also our server should not be rude about it. We had the Kale & Brussels sprout salad, just the right bite of vinager, Molinary Pizza (pepperoni, Fontina cheese & Arugala) crust & tastes blended well together & a bit of spice. We ordered meatballs and breadsticks as the apps, and they added and charged us for an extra meatball because we were 4, which was fine but was not discussed. I've been to Bar Bocce many times because of the location and decent food, but this week I was so disappointed that I doubt I'll go back. We were seated at 745. By 830, while we were still eating, they had turned off the heaters and were trying to freeze us out. When I asked the manager to turn the heaters back on, he refused even though the website said it was open til 9pm. I've worked in restaurants, I know you want to go home, but if you're planning to close at 830pm instead of 9pm, it seems like the only decent thing to do is to let guests know this in advance. The garlic bread was not good and was clearly over priced for what was received. The waitress was super pushy and not very kind. We visited Bar Bocce today with my wife and 5-year-old, hoping for a fun family lunch by the water. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired, especially for families with young kids. When we arrived, the hostess told us there would be a 1-hour wait for a table. Not wanting to wait that long, we opted for a bar table--even though it was quite high and uncomfortable for our child. To our surprise, we saw several groups (some larger than us) get seated at regular tables within 10 minutes of arriving, while we were left struggling at the bar. I went back to the hostess to ask if we could be added to the waitlist for a regular table, but she refused, saying that since we had already ordered, we couldn't be put on the list. Meanwhile, there were empty tables that stayed unseated for quite a while. It felt like there was no consideration for our situation or any willingness to accommodate families with young children. The location is beautiful and the food is decent, but the inflexible and inconsiderate service really soured our visit. We picked this place since they are dog friendly and I absolutely loved the private beach situation they have going on, where you can order drinks and chill by the water with friends. The hostess gave us an estimated wait time of 1 to 1.5 hours, but I got a text after about 30-35 min of waiting - not bad! The weather was pretty warm so I decided to go with the Bocce Froze and my friends ordered other cocktails that all looked super refreshing and yummy. My drink hit the spot with the right amount of slushy sweetness with a kick of alcohol. The four of us split 2 pizzas - Butternut Squash and Pesto Chicken. The food took forever to come out so we were hangry by the time the pizzas arrived; we probably waited over 40 minutes for the food. However, the pizzas were sooo delicious! I really can't pick a favorite because both were so so good, but I've never had a pizza like their Butternut Squash with a perfect medley of sweet and salty from the squash and bacon. It was also topped with shaved brussel sprouts so it had an amazing texture. Pesto Chicken is my type of pizza with a punch of flavor from the pesto, caramelized onions, roasted garlic. Service was pretty spotty, which I get because they were super busy. They also double charged us for drinks and there was a bit of miscommunication with getting a shot of alcohol into a mocktail. Oooo bar bocce never disappoints! Where do i even begin, everything about this place is just so good! First off, the ambience is unparalleled. They have regular seating, seating by the fire pit and seating by the beach - pick your favorite. Oh and did i mention they have a private mini beach attached to their restaurant? The wait time for us was about 45 min, so they told us we can hangout at the beach while we wait. The food is mind blowing! I was skeptical to try their glazed walnuts pizza because i don't usually like the taste of sweet and savory together in one food but i was mildly surprised by how good this pizza tasted. It did serve all 6 of us though, but not worth it in my opinion. The calamari was very good, loved the combo with cous cous and pine nuts. Very flavorful and calamari wasn't chewy. The pork sausage pizza had a really watery red sauce and was average to me, but the crust was good. The mushroom pizza I liked, but it wasn't as garlicky as I thought it would be. The manager says it's not burnt, flips our pizza over to show us, gives us another pizza and charges us for two. The waiter apologized and fix the error. We spent the afternoon in Sausalito this past Monday after our wedding on Sat as a quick little getaway. Found this cute little bar for dinner after a quick hike nearby. A little pricey but overall had a good experience. It seemed that the bocce set had to be reserved in advance. The service was great. However, they recently had a sign that said they had 2 incidents with pets so only service animals allowed as of right now. Had the house-made blood orange sangria and now I can tell why people order pitchers of this stuff. Tasted like juice (in a good way). Had the calamari and the spicy prawns to start. The prawns had a nice kick to it but not too overpowering. The calamari could have had more calamari in it as it was also coupled with couscous but I enjoyed the flavor. Then we ordered the Manila Clam and calamari pizza. Was a good size and the dough was great. We ended with an affogato and it was to die for! They have a fire pit outside but only one and it's right by the water so in case it gets crowded around the pit, be sure to bring a jacket if visiting in the evening. I tried explaining I was not finished ordering and the waiter began to argue with me, refusing to give the menu back.
