1/2 bama chicken with sweet potato waffle fries and Mac & cheese
Taylor K.

Great little spot right by the airport! The food was delicious. The burnt ends were a little overdone for my liking, but the green chili cheese grits, Mac & cheese, waffle fries and 1/2 bama chicken were very good. The service was good, but groups over 4 people seemed to be a challenge for the staff. We did have a large group of 8, but we were seated late so we didn't 'bombard the kitchen'. Not a problem, just a little odd when the place was not busy. We also were nicely but heavily suggested to tab out after 45 minutes. Overall a great experience and great food and beer, I would just suggest smaller groups if eating here.

First stop in Bozeman! A group of veterans needed sustenance! Our host knew where to take us for sure! BBQ!! The place was very welcoming and had the MT vibe to it. Felt like I was in a cabin up in the mountains. The bar next to our table had a TV or two for those sports enthusiast, while us rowdy veterans were in our own world of excitement. Good food on the way and great company. Our staff was very attentive and patient with our table as we had a ton of questions on drinks and food. There were so many choices, but I ended up with burnt ends, creamy hatch polenta, and fried okras! It was delicious before I even tasted it lol. Two other ladies ordered the Nacho with briskets, they could've shared! It was a very generous portions, I think 3 people could've shared. I truly enjoyed my plate and had to take some with me. I finished it the next day. Would love to come back whenever I stroll through Bozeman!

Stopped for lunch after flying into Bozeman. Fun location and easy to find. Deviled eggs were a delicious surprise. Friendly staff and western decor. Their beer was delicious too.

This was our first stop once we landed in Bozeman International Airport. So glad we stopped here to grab lunch before heading to Big Sky. Super friendly and helpful staff. Everything was yummy: Smoked Deviled Eggs ($7.95) Hickory smoked deviled eggs, green goddess filling, pickled red onion, and jalapeno 8/10 Sliced Beef Brisket Sandwich ($16.95) 7/10 Sweet Potato Waffle Fries served with Sriracha Aioli sauce 9/10 Sour Cream, Dill & New Potato Salad 8/10 Half Rack of Baby Back Ribs and Half Bama Chicken ($34.57) 9/10 If you're looking for a place to eat that's close to the airport, come here.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Very fatty and scrappy pulled pork. Nothing was hot or fresh. The ham tasted weird. The manager was kind to help out with the bill. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. You'll get better pulled pork at Costco and better brisket and ham in a store.

Ok....so we just moved to Belgrade and were really hangry from painting the new house. My wife said pick a place, so we went here. We came in and waited to be seated and this gal wanted to seat us in the very back corner of the restaurant!!! I asked if we could sit by the front window and she said she wasn't sure because she didn't know if they had servers covering that section!!?? Clueless!!! After we got a decent table everything was fine. The food is really good as well as the beers. Might be worth another shot,

It''s a microbrew with a bar & dining room. A great industrial atmosphere to eat and share time with friends. The ladies at lunch were great. helpful, and service was pretty quick. The waitress favorite was the carolina spicy chicken sandwich with the hazy ale. The hazy ale was mild with a citrus taste. The sandwich was very spicy, like tabasco spicy. if your tastes run along those lines, definitely get it. i'm more of a flavorful spicy kind of guy, so i'll do the brisket next time. My mom had the "burnt ends", the fatty ends of the brisket. This is her favorite and this visit it was great.

Definitely one of the best restaurant that we ate at during our trip. Portions was huge. Two combos was enough for four people. Sides was tasty. Most of all meats was yummy! The staff members was also great and attentive. Lots of parking in the area. Although you probably will be confused but this place is located inside a brewery. If only I didn't have to drive, would have liked to try their beers! I highly recommend this place before heading back to the airport or if you just arriving and want a good meal.

I had read such great reviews. I went out this last week in the cold to grab dinner to take back to the hotel. That was not actually my goal, but since they closed shortly after I got there, I decided to order my food to go. It took a few minutes to be greeted at the front door as I stood there wondering if I was invisible. Well, I found good barbecue! After the person at the bar took my order and did not say another word to me , they could definitely use a course on friendliness and hospitality. Living in Texas for 13 years I was looking for some good barbecue. However, everything else was a fail. My hotel was less than five minutes away, and my okra was soggy, a good portion, but not at all crispy. They should put holes in the top of the Styrofoam to vent the heat so it does not get soggy. The grits which I looked forward to were clumpy and not tasty at all the mac & cheese, though was the worst it was not even edible. The barbecue sauce was good, and the ribs were very good. It could've been that I came at the end of the night and nothing was fresh, but honestly, I was very disappointed. The ribs are the only reason I gave them a second star. Additionally, you have to come in to the parking area in one direction, and there was a lot of ice and snow midway down where you had to leave. It would've been nice to have that plowed along with the hundred feet of parking area.

there were two of us that ventured to the Bar 3 for dinner while visiting the area, we went at the suggestion of the hotel desk clerk and another hotel guest. We ordered the brisket sandwich w/ Mac & cheese, the chicken wing appetizer w/ fries and an order of the poutine. The waitress said they would sub the fried with the chicken wings for the poutine since they had been ordered as well. Food: the brisket was okay at best, the three bbq sauces that were brought out get a rating on two ones and one two. When the food was brought out, there was the side of fries AND poutine; the wings were sub par, and the poutine was also okay. The best thing going for our table was the plain fries and the Coke. Service: the food took a little longer than expected with being a bbq restaurant; the waitress only stopped by one time to check on us for refills, and we had to ask the hostess for the check. Ambience: this is the reason they get two stars. It was a nice place that was open to the fresh air, it wasn't crowded and not noisy at all.

Ribs are delicious!!!!! So are the sides!!!

Went again still just as good! Highly recommended ribs!!! The fried okra is also great. If you are in the area you must stop by!!!

Who cares what the food tastes like if you can't order or receive it. You'll be left waiting and wanting.

We had the FRITES & FONDUE for an appetizer, fries were great, the Parmesan was a nice touch and the fondue didn't have a lot of flavor. Our entrees were served hot, packed with flavor & the pasta was cooked al dente. We both loved the our entrees, as we continued our meal seeing all the other entrees going to tables we are excited to come back to try the vast options on the menu. The cheesecake was delicious & fresh we truly appreciate the quality & taste of desserts being made in house- you can tell the difference & it is absolutely worth it. We will be back, it may be over an hour drive for us but a drive well worth it.

We started with the beet and burrata salad, which was full of yummy complimenting flavors and fun textures. I think it could have done without the yellow peppers but I just ate around those. The pepitas with the pistachio butter and beets were excellent, and the burrata added a creamy touch. We also tried the frites and fondue. The fries were thick and browned how I like them, but the fondue wasn't my favorite and was a little too overpowering in flavor for my taste. The parmesan on top of the fries was a nice touch. For beverages I had a local pale ale from Bridger brewing that was crisp and went well with the meal, and my partner tried the rotations shrub (peach), which she said was just okay. The star of the show was the arrabiata pasta made with vodka sauce and Calabrian chilis. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente and was well sauced, truly delicious. The ambiance is nice, and the service was fine. They checked on us frequently but not entirely friendly, maybe our waitress was having a bad day. The meal was a little on the pricier side but I felt the happy hour prices were fair. We would return when visiting Bozeman.

**November 2025: Saturday Night**…read more My mom and I were looking for a spot to enjoy dinner that had parking. We drove around downtown Bozeman for a good 30 minutes, and didn't have any luck in securing parking. I found Mountain Walking Brewery and thought I'd take a chance and prayed that there would be a lot or that I would be super lucky with street parking. We were in luck and there was one very small spot near the front of the restaurant - hallelujah! The restaurant was poppin' - almost every table was taken, but we were offered bar seating and we gladly accepted. After purusing through the menu I decided that we should try a variety of items including a side of Brussels sprouts, Bowl of Bison Chili, and a Fig and Arugula Pizza. Service was quick and we got all our items in a pretty timely manner. The pizza had a really great crust the dough had a nice bounce to it. I think for me they were a tad overly generous with the balsamic vinegar glaze which made the pizza quite salty. I would definitely order a pizza again but perhaps the Margherita or the Carnivore. The bison chili was a good standard bowl and the brussel sprouts while crispy was also very salty - I think it was definitely over dressed, but maybe since the majority of patrons were drinkin the salty foods would pair well. Seems like a fun place to hang out, but for me I'd probably pick anything that doesn't have glaze or soy sauce.

We went up & ordered right away. This (our 3rd stop in Montana) was the 1st place to hand us the 3 stamp card. We, not being from Montana, looked at it as if he'd handed us a random appendage from his body, no doubt. All we were trying to do was pay for our drink - ha. His explanation was "that's our tab, if you decide you want another, bring the card up." We tried to explain that we didn't want another. We were only having one & we'd like to pay. He told us to hold on to the card & pay after we were done. We went out back to the permanent food truck and ordered Kels kryptonite, the pretzel & a chicken & Belgian waffle w/ hot honey. It took about 20min. While we waited, we sipped our beer and flipped these cards over looking for clues... then we took to Google... then we spied on other people. Maybe we would have enjoyed the beer more if we knew what these cards were for and what the heck we were supposed to do with them! Fossil Fuel IPA scored a 3.25 from Kel n/a from me The Capone Oatmeal Stout a 3.5 from Kel 3.25 me Both on the average side with no major knocks or stand outs for features. The food was fresh & tasty - we wrapped up & went inside. We were asked for our cards, our book was stamped, we paid for 1 beer & went out still lost... At our NEXT stop, the barkeep explained that by Montana law, there's a 3 pour limit & a lot of larger places uses cards to track pours (aha!) & a strict 8pm cut off for taps - which we came waaay too close to!
