I have to say, this is an awesome place for a Tap Room. It's tucked right next to the Brewery with old school wood benches and chairs. 5 stars for ambience. We came here right a 2 on a Thursday so the service was great! No one else was in the place and the bartender gave us all of his attention. We started with two samplers so we could try nearly all their beers. Each one was explained to us as we sampled. After we made our choice, we each got a pint. When I asked the guy what he was going to have he actually poured himself a glass. My kind of place! The beer was pretty great and I really enjoyed their Scotch Ale. They have some sort of mug club where you can purchase a mug, design it, and hang it on their wall to come and use whenever you decided. You still have to pay for the beer but I think there's a fair discount. We saw this happen as we were their and the coolness factor of grabbing a mug off the wall and handing it to the barkeep would be worth whatever they charge for it!

This brewery had done it right! Plenty of tables, but still has that intimate feeling. Our group really like all the beers they tried: Hopper, Dropper, Deceiver, Scotch Ale, and Salmon Fly. What impressed me the most was the wall of gorgeous hand blown glasses in the Mug Club. Evidently there is a long wait to get a glass...each one is different. Popcorn for free, and quick service at the bar.

Great place to go with friends on a Friday night. Place can get a little cramped, but people are generally nice about sharing tables. Oh, and the beer is amazing. Too bad they're only open until 8PM.

Great beer, cool location but super hard to find...you might need to turn around like we did. Free popcorn and music, small and seating might be hard to get, but your here for the beer.

This place is seriously my favorite brewery in Bozeman!…read more Great beer, atmosphere, and food trucks! Also probably the friendliest staff at a brewery! Feels like home

Stop 3 of 8 on our Montana Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour Amazing…read moreBrewery Race 2025 I will say these guys had a lot of space & a lot to choose from, along with quite the theme going. We went up & ordered right away. This (our 3rd stop in Montana) was the 1st place to hand us the 3 stamp card. We, not being from Montana, looked at it as if he'd handed us a random appendage from his body, no doubt. All we were trying to do was pay for our drink - ha. His explanation was "that's our tab, if you decide you want another, bring the card up." We tried to explain that we didn't want another. We were only having one & we'd like to pay. He told us to hold on to the card & pay after we were done. We went out back to the permanent food truck and ordered Kels kryptonite, the pretzel & a chicken & Belgian waffle w/ hot honey. It took about 20min. While we waited, we sipped our beer and flipped these cards over looking for clues... then we took to Google... then we spied on other people. Maybe we would have enjoyed the beer more if we knew what these cards were for and what the heck we were supposed to do with them! Fossil Fuel IPA scored a 3.25 from Kel n/a from me The Capone Oatmeal Stout a 3.5 from Kel 3.25 me Both on the average side with no major knocks or stand outs for features. The food was fresh & tasty - we wrapped up & went inside. We were asked for our cards, our book was stamped, we paid for 1 beer & went out still lost... At our NEXT stop, the barkeep explained that by Montana law, there's a 3 pour limit & a lot of larger places uses cards to track pours (aha!) & a strict 8pm cut off for taps - which we came waaay too close to!

**November 2025: Saturday Night**…read more My mom and I were looking for a spot to enjoy dinner that had parking. We drove around downtown Bozeman for a good 30 minutes, and didn't have any luck in securing parking. I found Mountain Walking Brewery and thought I'd take a chance and prayed that there would be a lot or that I would be super lucky with street parking. We were in luck and there was one very small spot near the front of the restaurant - hallelujah! The restaurant was poppin' - almost every table was taken, but we were offered bar seating and we gladly accepted. After purusing through the menu I decided that we should try a variety of items including a side of Brussels sprouts, Bowl of Bison Chili, and a Fig and Arugula Pizza. Service was quick and we got all our items in a pretty timely manner. The pizza had a really great crust the dough had a nice bounce to it. I think for me they were a tad overly generous with the balsamic vinegar glaze which made the pizza quite salty. I would definitely order a pizza again but perhaps the Margherita or the Carnivore. The bison chili was a good standard bowl and the brussel sprouts while crispy was also very salty - I think it was definitely over dressed, but maybe since the majority of patrons were drinkin the salty foods would pair well. Seems like a fun place to hang out, but for me I'd probably pick anything that doesn't have glaze or soy sauce.
