BANSHEE | our foodie group's favorite spot for a group outing! It's the perfect place to go family style - try one or two of everything and split the bill! Almost the entire menu is seasonal, aside from their classics, like the fry bread (which is a MUST), because that pepperoni butter is EVERYTHING. Some of my favorite dishes over the years include the black garlic mezzaluna, the boar luganega farfalle (super hearty pasta), tagliatelle al tartufo and basically any seasonal crudo on their menu. While you may not find these exact dishes on your next visit, you may find something fun and creative but still satisfying and delicious like these. Cocktails are a must - i tend toward gin cocktails but there is a cocktail for everyone on the menu. And of course you must order one of every dessert because how else can you do it?!? If you're there late over the weekend, it shifts from a packed restaurant to a packed bar with a DJ. I find the cocktails to be not quite as tasty as with dinner, but still a good time to be had.

It took me about 45 minutes to get here. The venue has parking in the back but I was able to find street parking. The street parking is terrible and turns the road into a one way street. Venue is pretty small on the inside. There is only about 10 tables and 15 seats at the bar. The entire place can hold about 50 customers. It looked like there may be another room in the back but I was not able to see. I ordered the Steak with grilled vegetables and lettuce wraps. This was the best steak I have eaten all year. The steak was cooked in olive oil and drizzled with this blend of peppers and tomatoes. The lettuce wraps had grilled onions, bell peppers, and jalapenos. I ordered the Banana Four Ways for dessert. Fried plantains as a base, banana bread on top, banana pudding, and a cool whip banana sauce on top. The meal was amazing.

Banshee is a fun & unique concept with a complex yet to the point menu which I loved. I went in for a work outing with a small group and we had an amazing evening. To start, there are plenty of street parking options available but if you go on a weekend or busy evening, may have to walk a little bit more as the area can get more crowded. Once inside, the decor is moody & "masculine" which I loved. Think deeper/cooler colors, exposed hardware, etc. Our server was amazing and I wish I could remember her name but she has amazing blush if that helps! Food & drinks were an experience & I loved that I felt like everything I ate was new to my palette. See ratings below for a few of the dishes I was able to try. Appetizers: Fry Bread 9/10: the bread was good but the star is definitely the pepperoni butter. I only gave it a 9 because pepperoni can be oily & butter is already salty so too much of the butter, could overpower bread. Spring Mushrooms 10/10: surprisingly one of my favorite bites of the night! The cured egg yolk added the perfect saltiness & creaminess while the mushrooms remained hearty in texture and soaking up all the flavors Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche 8/10: the combo of strawberries with the crispy & cool toppings of tuna + onions and more was spectacular. I wish it came with more tostadas & if I could get more of that mezcal smoke I was expecting it would take it up even higher! Korean Beef Cheek Agnolotti 9/10: the flavors were so light & complimentary to one another but also potent and stand out in the same breath. I loved the texture of the pasta with the fatty beef cheek. Morel + Cocoa Tagliatelle 7/10: wasn't my favorite but was still tasty! Almost had a mole flavor profile which I loved. Yellowedge Grouper 9/10: grouper was cooked beautifully! I was trying from someone else's plate so didn't get a full description to give but I know this was popular & was leaving the following day Banana Four Ways 10/10: banana isn't my favorite fruit but in desserts, it truly shines & loved their take on combining multiple desserts into one. Thankfully it wasn't overpowering at all. Would try again! I will note that they switch their menu around seasonally so definitely try what you can while you can as it may not be there when you come back! But that's part of the fun :)

Banshee is a cute, lowkey spot for a date night or to grab a couple of drinks in EAV! It's pretty busy so would definitely recommend a reservation, and save some time to look for street parking! We started with their famous fry bread that comes with pepperoni butter, sesame, and scallions. The bread is fine - would have liked it to be a little crunchier like a scallion pancake, but the butter was SOOOO good!! I could eat it forever and totally get why they sell it to go lol For our entrees I had the mushroom and cocoa tagliatelle while my fiance had the Korean beef cheek agnolotti. Out of the two I'd give my dish a 9/10 but would give the agnolotti a 7/10 since I thought it was a bit sweet. Service was really good, but it was a bit expensive compared to other nice pasta places around town. I'll probably come back for a different seasonal menu but I'm not itching to do so!

$12 STRAWBERRY BRIGADERIO: tasted exactly like a funnel cake! It was the perfect amount of crunchy, sweetness, and fresh ingredient.

PARKING: There is FREE street parking. FOOD: $11 FRY BREAD: the bread was pretty salty, it didn't seem fried but reminded me of a Pita bread. Came with pepperoni butter, slight kick. $21 YELLOWFIN TUNA CEVICHE: was very sweet! Came with fresh GA strawberries & strawberry puree. Also came with 3 crispy corn tortillas. $39 KOREAN BEEF CHEEF AGNOLOTTI: this was my favorite dish!!! The beef was so flavorful and the pillow filled pasta was the perfect accompaniment. $41 SAI UA BOUDIN: the pork sausage was flavorful, but dry. I honestly loved the charred cabbage the most on the plate! Flavors were delicious, just wish the sausage wasn't so crumbly & dry. $11 VIDALIA ONIONS: cut into quarter chunks and carmelized to be on the sweeter side. VIDALIA onions are sweet to begin with. LOVED the carrot puree sauce. $12 STRAWBERRY BRIGADERIO: this dessert tasted exactly like a funnel cake! It was the perfect amount of crunchy, sweetness, and fresh ingredient. OVERALL: The menu is VERY LIMITED, but they change it often. So making choices isn't too difficult. If you come with more than 3 people you can pretty much try everything on the menu! Love all the flavors here, cute space and great service! Great taste & quality for the price point. Highly recommend!

Parking is a mess for dinner on a late Friday night but it was worth the hassle. We parked on the streets in the neighborhoods and got a drink at the bar before our reservation. The drinks were great and the space is nice! The food was DELICIOUS. I would 100% recommend starting with the fry bread with pepperoni butter. That is a must have and the Japanese sweet potatoes are hands down the best sweet potatoes I've ever had. The Duck + fig plate I had was delicious and I'm glad I have leftovers. The Vegan Goods were good but nothing to die over. And finally the matcha crème Brûlée was good!

Wow. Just. Wow. First and foremost East Atlanta Village is a vibe. Parking: East Atlanta Village has free street parking in general. Definitely check where you park, but it is a really cool part of this incredible nook of the ITP. We had no problem finding parking really close to banshee on the street. Ambiance: the branding and the lighting shines at this restaurant. There is so much to be sad about the simplicity and authenticity of this place. Kat was super attentive and made the experience awesome. The restaurant itself reminds me of the menu, curated and intentional. Food: the menu is extraordinary. It's tight, and everything is clearly done really well. It rotates based on the season, which I love, and for the price you're getting incredibly quality and fresh meal. - the ceviche rocked. With a little bit of spice from the jalapeño matched with the sweetness of peach and citrus, this dish was one of my favorites. I don't think I've ever had ceviche with peaches, but it worked really well. - Then we had the melon and cucumber salad. This salad totally exploded my taste buds. It was a little bit on the spicy side, with a unique twist of capers and tofu skin. I don't think I've ever had tofu skin, but it really does taste like a pasta or something equivalent. - the steak was unbelievable. It had potato sticks on top, which were perfectly salty and this incredible creamed corn below, which was flavorful, but not overwhelming. The steak itself was perfectly cooked and I wouldn't have asked for any other way other than how the chef recommended. We ate every bite. It comes pre-sliced, which I love. Our overall dinner looked like it was close to Michelin caliber without the price tag. We ended our meal with the bananas four ways. I didn't take a photo in time, because again we devoured every bite. We thought that this is going to be four different banana dishes, but it's actually four different banana types all wrapped up into one dish. The entire banana layer " cake " is covered in a banana, flavored creamy marzipan foam type thing, and I could eat it all! The best part about this place is that it will change with the seasons, so I can't wait to go back! We did make a reservation, but it wasn't super crazy on a Wednesday night.

We had an outstanding dinner at Banshee in East Atlanta Village. This restaurant serves fine-dining-quality New American cuisine in a hip, casual atmosphere. The restaurant opened in September 2018. My wife wanted to come here for a while. We finally made it and found it to be worth the wait and hype. Banshee earned Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition in 2023 and retained the award in 2024. Well deserved. This place is popular. Book reservations in advance (Resy). Free parking is available behind the restaurant on Gresham Ave SE and in the surface lots on either side of Gresham. During our visit, the lots were full. I parked for free on the other side of the block, on Joseph Ave SE. This is East Atlanta, so the lots aren't in great condition. Watch out for pot holes, etc. Banshee has two dining rooms and two bars, front and back. They also have a patio/deck, but it wasn't in use during our visit. The vibe and decor are very "EAV" in that it's eclectic and unpretentious. The spaces have exposed brick, ceilings, ductwork, etc., and are well worn, giving the place character. In terms of dress code, I don't think there is one. Come as you are. This place is great for special occasions. I took my wife for her birthday and we made a romantic date night out of it. All of the tables were candlelit and we enjoyed the fun and diverse playlist. Food-wise, the menu was relatively small with only a handful of selections in both the appetizer and entree sections. Below is a list of what we had. It should give you a good idea of what Banshee has to offer and what the prices are like. We ordered four of the restaurant's five apps, half of the sides (1/2), and all of the desserts (2/2). We had leftovers. Cocktails * Stately Hag ($14) - tequila, Strega, Cocchi Americano, lemon, thyme * Butterfly Knife ($14) - Alpe Genepy, sloe gin, apple brandy, lemon, angostura * Killer of Caerbannog ($13) - Hoodoo Chicory, Chairman's Reserve Spiced rum, carrot + coconut, angostura Begin * Fry Bread ($10) - pepperoni butter, sesame, scallion * Grilled Corn Ribs ($14) - corn stracciatella, cumin + cilantro butter, lime * Mushroom Toast ($14) - glazed maitake, shishito jam, Parmesan cream, grilled focaccia * Shallot Tart Tatin ($15) - whipped brebis cheese, salmon roe, chervil Continue * Duck Confit ($37) - charred eggplant caramelle, caponata, hakurei turnip, cherry jus * New York Strip ($49) - Jimmy Nardello peperonata, crispy potatoes, black garlic + shoyu butter Growing Now * Charred Cabbage Salad ($12) - grilled tofu skin, shishito, crispy garlic, lime vinaigrette, toasted coconut Finish * Honeycrisp Apple Mochi ($10) - vanilla cremeux, apple chips, cider caramel * Tres Leches Tiramisu ($11) - amaretto creme, thyme salt Everything was phenomenal. It seems they perfected every cocktail and every dish. The execution was on point. Also, everything was presented beautifully. Just wow, all around. There's a fine attention to detail here and I'm sure that's played a large part in Banshee's success. The cocktails were terrific. The Stately Hag was pretty. The Butterfly Knife was like a variation of the lemon drop; sweet and tangy. The Killer of Caerbannog, named after a rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, was sweet and thick. It was like a dessert drink, but actually went well with dinner. It was my favorite drink of the three. Our favorite dish was the Mushroom Toast. We love mushrooms (especially me) and, simply put, the Mushroom Toast was an explosion of umami/flavors and appetizing textures. I'm not big fan of corn on the cob, but I loved the Grilled Corn Ribs. To me, it was a play on corn on the cob, but split into and eaten as multiple smaller pieces, like ribs. Again, the flavors were incredible. The Shallot Tart Tatin was savory and distinctive. The whipped brebis cheese, made from sheep's milk, was shaped like the Michelin Guide logo. Coincidence? The Fry Bread came with Banshee's popular pepperoni butter. It's so popular, the restaurant sells it by the pint ($10/pint). The bread and butter went perfectly together. The Duck Confit was amazing. The duck was tender and tasty. The caramelle (candy-shaped pasta) was al dente. I requested the New York Strip medium rare and it came out perfect. What was most memorable about this dish was the side of potato spheres, accompanied with some sort of cream sauce that had the velvety texture of ricotta. It was delectable. The Charred Cabbage Salad was some of the best cabbage I've had, anywhere. I loved all the different textures (crispy and crunchy) and flavors. Both desserts were superb. We preferred the Honeycrisp Apple Mochi because it was unique. My wife described it as a deconstructed apple hand pie, but if the crust was fried mochi. The Tres Leches Tiramisu was creamy and not too sweet. It was the best of both worlds. Service was great. Our server was Tasmia and she took excellent care of us. All of the staff we interacted with greeted us with a smile.

The moment we arrived, we were met with spectacularly welcoming service! The menu changes here regularly, so I knew the current menu did not have the same options as other reviews I've seen, but still all sounded amazing. We hade the beets & strawberries fore an appetizer, as well as the fry bread. Both delicious! I ordered the mushroom risotto for my entree, and was blown away by the flavor and the freshness of the ingredients. I almost wanted to lick my plate, lol. I highly recommend. I will definitely be back again!

4% added to every check to subsidize employee healthcare? WTF since when did that become my responsibility?
    Steven P.

I have no issue with the food. But when we got our receipt, it says that they add 4% to every check to help subsidize employee healthcare. That's BS. I don't even know if that's legal? Apparently, it's disclosed on the menu somewhere, but we didn't see it. If I had, we probably would've complained maybe even left. Can't honestly say that now. But we paid it and I'm not sure we'll ever be back.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Atlanta! The menu changes often so it is always exciting to try something new. Always the best and most interesting meal I've had in Atlanta each visit. The staff so so friendly and helpful that it makes the whole experience feel special every time. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and moody but never so dark that it interferes with the meal at all. It's perfect in every way.

Big fan of Banshee! The interior is absolutely adorable - cozy but modern. We both ordered the grouper and loved how crispy yet flaky it was. Staff was also super helpful with menu suggestions, so now we wanna go back to try the other recs.

I like anything that's close to a speakeasy or hidden bar so this was really up my alley. So it's in Summerhill. You can pretty much park wherever you can find parking. There may be street or there may be a lot but there's still plenty of parking because there's a bunch of stuff on this block. And you don't have to worry about paying so that's a plus. You'll find the building that's painted and then take that door and go downstairs into the basement. Considering how light and bright the neighborhood is, the actual basement itself is pretty dark and kind of intimate. It's very dimly lit with candles but it gives it some character. I'd already eaten and drunk so I just stopped in for one more drink before I left the side of town. I only really had one drink but it was a pretty good drink. The bartender was the only reason I didn't give it a five-star rating. I thought that the vibe was good and the cocktail was good and the general aesthetic was very pleasing but she didn't actually act like she wanted to serve anybody at the bar. I'm a bartender so I know that service definitely matters. The patrons can pick up on when you're not energetic or at least trying to be energetic with them and I definitely pick that vibe up. We asked what the favorite drink of hers was and she said whatever the easiest drink was. Also asked what were the favorite drinks of the general population. She said all of them. She didn't give any thought to answering the question, didn't even try to lie about it. LOL. I have the M&M Manhattan and it was good. It's a smoky style drink so if you're not into mezcal smoke, you may not like it but I thought it was very savory and not too sweet whatsoever. Overall I would definitely go back. Outside of what I was picking up from the bartender, it's a really good vibe and you can probably walk from multiple places on this block and then end up here as a last cocktail before the night's over.

There probably isn't a bar in the city that offers as breathtaking of a view as does Moonlight. The panorama of all three of Atlanta's skyscraper centers is clearly visible, along with the historical architecture of Ponce City Market. The crowd is mix of tourists and locals in their 20s and 30s. The cocktails are solid. Food is decent, nothing to rave about, but again, hopefully nobody is here for the food. The lobster roll was very bread heavy and the useless dab of caviar was just a wasteful decoration. Yet, the atmosphere of the place, situated in the beautiful Forth hotel makes Moonlight an incredible spot for drinks.

A genuinely terrible experience, from start to finish. Firstly, we were guests at the hotel looking…read morefor dining options around 8pm. Having dined at Elektra already this weekend, we wanted to try something different. Hostess started with some type of unposted dress coded nonsense because my son was in a hoodie (which he agreed to remove) before we were granted access. Arrive inside and it's standing room only at the bar - all seating areas are clearly designed for large groups and they're all occupied, as were the handful of actual seats at the bar. Proceed to order numerous dishes from the menu to-go. Bar tenders, in fairness, were very pleasant btw. Nowhere to wait except standing there like idiots until bartender says we can sit in a reserved section for a bit. Nasty waitress comes by soon after to usher us away, despite conflicting instructions from the bar. Anyway, insult to injury when it appears I've been charged a service charge and a gratuity charge and the dishes were small and mostly not great. The wings were ok, but the grilled cheese was gross, the flatbread was minuscule, the cheese plate was meh. Overall, between the mostly rude to indifferent staff attitude, lack of seating, and poor quality of food this place deserves a pass. ,

The outside of the bus looks crappy but when you step inside it is romantic, peaceful and zen like with the lighting. Our menus were Tommy Devito and Henry Hill. Both menus were absolutely Devine. Reminder you get a cocktail with each plate. Needless to say if you drink each cocktail you will be right at the end of dinner lol. Service was a 10 out of 10. I believe the theme and menu change every 3-4 months. You just have to go to experience Tiger Sun.

My wife made the reservations almost 30 days out. I have a ton of food allergies and sensitivities, it is frustrating to eat out sometimes. She told them about them way in advance and they only got back to her at 12:30 the day of our reservations, we had them at 7:30 that night. They said they could handle it. They really didn't. I have a gluten sensitivity they came out with a tempura fried mushroom for the first course. I ate half of it because I was starving. Paying for it as I write this review. They gave a sweet potatoe spear for one of the courses, to substitute pork belly, which is probably the only gluten free thing that was on the pre fixed menu. The only amazing thing I ate was the wagyu beef skewers. Which I will say were amazing. The servers were fun. If you cannot accommodate dietary restrictions be an up front business and say you cannot. But to say you can and give me bucnh of cheap replacement items and charge me full price is kind of ridiculous. As a quick follow up. I want to thank Ennio from Tiger Sun for immediately reaching out via email and I respect owners who want to make it right. We shall see how much higher this star rating can go.

A quick hop, skip, and jump across the street and you're at the entrance. We were warmly greeted and immediately seated for our 6 PM reservation. Josh delivered A-1 customer service from start to finish. Our group of five kicked off the evening with a variety of appetizers--the little gem salad and the maple roasted golden beets & carrots were standouts. I also enjoyed the breadbasket selections. The lamb burger helper was divine--and somehow even better reheated the next day. The vibe at the bar was lively and inviting. This was the perfect restaurant for our business dinner. It's also ideal for date night or just to chill with friends. I'll definitely be back to support this Black-owned business and indulge in the mouthwatering cuisine again!
