Bad experience with customer service. My mom went in to order a drink with jelly, but she isn't a frequent bubble tea/ smoothie drinker so she doesn't know the name of the jelly she likes. Anyway, when she asked what kind they had they replied with "we have three kinds of jelly, I don't know what kind of jelly you want!" She walked out without ordering and asked me to go in and order for her. I did, and when I got the drink the straw was literally thrown at me AND there was no jelly. After informing them, they then proceeded to throw some jelly on top and reseal it. To top it off there was a leak in the seal, so I got some of the drink on me when I was mixing up the jelly. Also, the wait was a good 12+ minutes for that 1 drink. Drink was good, but if you want decent customer service go elsewhere. read more

Every beverage I've had is super refreshing and chock full of yummy ingredients, I can't wait until I go back again. I decided to give this place another try after all my friends pushed me to it after dinner. I have tried the Original Yogurt (which is now my favorite), and the mashed avocado since my last review. Both are pretty good! One of the inconveniences I have about this place is definitely the card charge. If you spend less than $10 they charge you .50 cents or something like that for using your card. I keep thinking its a way for them to rake in some extra money haha . read more

Bambu Special #1 - my go-to, so refreshing. It consists of pandan jelly, basil seeds, longan, and a base of fresh coconut juice and sugar cane. Thinking about it makes me want one right now! Bambu Special #5 - Fresh avocado, condensed milk, boba, and various jellies. I'm not a huge fan of the coffee jelly flavor with avocado, but if you like avocado smoothies, this one is the one for you! Their drink menu could go on for days. First of all I would like to say I am extremely excited that BAMBU is now in Washington! I've had it in the Bay Area a couple times and always craved it. I enjoy various kinds of teas and smoothies. I will be turned away from a shop if there aren't any REAL and FRESH fruits in the smoothies. With that said, Bambu definitely have real and fresh fruits in their drinks. The young girl who served my children and I was very kind, approachable, and knowledgeable. It was my first time at the shop and she helped us choose our smoothies and fillings. I had the lychee with small red bean filling smoothie. It was delicious! The shop is very busy, but definitely worth the few minutes wait. The service is fast as well! Drinks/dessert can vary anywhere between $3 to $5. The downside is that the minimum credit/debit card charge must be $10 though. So, if you plan to purchase under $10, make sure you have cash in hand. I ended up purchasing 3 drinks to meet the minimum card charge requirement although I truly needed only 2 drinks -- one for me and one for my young kids to share. read more

3.5 stars for being one of the best che (Viet dessert) place up here. I've been to the original Bambu in San José numerous times and I have to say the CA branch is way better. Their quality of ingredients in CA is way more fresh and just taste more yummy! Although I feel this way, the Bambu here is in an absurd location although I'm not complaining since its close by my house. Haha. When I need the dessert fix it's always nice to drop by and grab something delicious. Their lines are usually long but they have quick service. There has only been two times when I felt that the quality was subpar since their coconut milk tasted a little off and when I added something to my drink they forgot. Just opened and my husband and I were super excited so we went for their grand opening special where everything was $3. We first got introduced to this place in San Jose and have been hooked every since. Of course with the $3 special, it's a great deal. On normal days, their items are about 3.50ish or a little more. I ordered the che with red bean, grass jelly and pandan jelly. I liked it, but it's actually extremely filling. It's almost like a meal replacement, not a dessert! My husband is really into #6 che and orders that every time. My personal preference is that it's good but has a little too many ingredients in it. Which in itself almost pulls it down to a 3 star. Great Wall's not the nicest place in the metroplex. Crowded parking lot, crowded everywhere. Cleanliness simply not a priority, unfortunately somewhat typical of Asian businesses. They offer a nice selection of drinks, including espresso varieties. I was there for the Vietnamese coffee however and as my tip showed, they'll prepare the drink to your liking (less condensed milk). Yet another reason why this place is worth a stop. Finally one Bambu in Seattle! I love che in general - especially the cold ones. There are a lot of options for you folks to pick here. I had the #3 and friend got the fruity one. The coconut milk in the #3 isn't too sweet or strong. Just right- rich and creamy. I love the beans and green jelly thats came with. Very nice crunch and chewy textures. Friend thought the fruity one tasted weird. He thought he would get real fruit not canned coconut/lychee meats. Too sweet for his taste and probably mine too. So that would be a miss. Just wish the counter girl would have told us which one is which. We had to figure out oursourselves. But Ima try more here to see what else they got. read more

BUT, Bambu is the first place I've tried which has all these specialty drinks and toppings that I would never even dream of mixing together. The result is very unique and refreshing! First one I tried was the combo. Good but way too sweet for me. Now that I've read other reviews, it makes sense that they must have come from a can. I love the avocado one, #5 I think. Fresh avocados and just the right sweetness, only downside is the excessive jelly and boba in it. A little pricy - their drinks cost more than a slice of pizza but its a fancier type of dessert. I don't like milk so I get the juices or slushies. The juice is too sweet and I don't like the passion fruit seeds so I started getting the slushies. They use real fruit so its good. I like it with boba.
