    Purple rice drink
    Vi N.

I've been here years ago & used to really enjoy this place. I returned today after years & there were about 2 people ahead of me. Ordering was on the kiosk. I waited a little over 15mins for my single drink. I ordered the purple rice. It was solid in the yogurt taste but it has zero sweetness to it. It just tasted slightly tart and the little sweetness from the boba. I don't know if the person forgot to add sugar or if it's just like this. I took a few more sips and tasted a hard piece in my mouth (it looks like the metal scrub for washing dishes) but I was already on the road heading home. Very disappointing visit because I went out of my way to get a purple rice drink today since I was craving it & I experienced that.

Located next to Bai Tong Thai restaurant. Was waiting for our food so dropped by Tea Time for some milk tea. Has a variety of drinks for those that want caffeine and also drinks / smoothies that are caffeine free. It's a tea shop but they also serve coffee (Durian Coffee as well). I ordered the standard milk tea at 50% sweet and thought it was perfect. Not too sweet but enjoyable and can taste the tea. Would come back again and great spot for an after dinner drink.

Hokkaido milk tea with boba - IG @bougiefoodieboi

One of the better valued boba spots in the area. I went here to try the Hokkaido milk tea with boba (it comes with boba in the price which is nice). The amount of liquid in the drink is a fairly good amount, and there is a generous amount of boba. For the tea itself, it could be more fragrant and the boba is okay - it has chewy texture but a bit slimy comparatively. There is a good amount of seating and board games, which makes this a nice third place or social hangout area.

My second time coming around, didn't get to leave a review last time. After getting dinner next door we wanted boba, and instead of driving to another spot we just decided on convenience and went into Tea Time. I got their green thai tea with boba, a flavour that I don't commonly see in other boba shops. It was good but a little too sweet for me, so I'll have to remember to reduce the sugar next time since I usually do regular sugar the first few times to determine how sweet the place's drinks are. Other than that, flavour is good and I believe my partner said her drink was satisfactory as well. This visit was better than the last time, but honestly with the amount of boba spots in the area, I do think there are much better options to go for. But if you're in this specific plaza then it'll do.

Nice location and there's plenty of parking. It's to the right of YGF Malatang restaurant. I like that it's decorated with cute chairs and wall decor for IG worthy pics. They don't have a lot of tables and chairs so there's not a lot of space if you're going with a large group. But small groups around 3-4 ppl is fine. They have some board games like Jenga, Life, deck of cards, etc for you to play. There's a self-order kiosk but I think you can also order by person as well. There are so many drink options that I was overwhelmed on which ones to choose from lol. Drinks are made pretty quick even though there was only one guy working at the time. I ended up ordering their Ube milk tea which is one of their top drinks. Highly recommend! Tastes very similar to Happy Lemon's milk tea but with Ube cold foam. I also like that they use non-dairy creamer for some of their drinks. The boba pearls were cooked just right and not too soft in my opinion, but my friends thought it was overcooked for their drinks. The avocado durian smoothie flavor was underwhelming and not very sweet. They don't have public restroom btw!

Very good place to jave boba drinks and macrons. I tried here ube latte and it was too good also coconut fresh matcha was good. Ambience was very beautiful and the service was really great service and ambience was really great

I ordered three different Teas. The restaurant was very clean. Great ambiance. Customer Service was served with a genuine smile. One thing I could suggest is that they offer better to go bags and cup holders, if it wasn't for the way they secure the top all three of my drinks would have spilled.

OOLONG MILK TEA (+ black pearls, egg pudding, lychee gelly) & OREO MILK TEA (Oreo Crumbs, Boba, Foam)

We decided to check this place out since the malatang place right next was our fav spot! They have lots of menu and the staffs were so sweet! I would def love to visit here next time ;)

Milk tea puff cream (black boba + puff cream) I added popping boba (strawberry) regular sugar, creme brulee cream and less ice.

Ask the Community - Tea Time & Coffee

Is there dairy creamer in the milk tea drinks?

Hi, there’s no dairy in our milk tea drinks except dairy foam on some of the drinks. Thanks

Is there WiFi and space to work remotely?

There's WiFi and some space but the place itself only has a few seats. I wouldn't recommend it.

How does the $1 discount work for when you bring the bottle back? They put your drink in the bottle you brought and it's all good? Also, does it have to be a Tea Time bottle?

They re-use the bottle and yes, it does need to be the Tea Time bottle.

Do you pay extra for glass bottle?

Yes. When I went, a small bottle was $1 and a large bottle was $1.59.

I'm too lazy to pull out Google Maps, what part of Southcenter is this located at, is it in the mall or...?

Thao, it's in the same complex as Bai Tong/Jared. There's also a new chinese restaurant that opened in that complex!

Unlike Starbucks, they actually have legit ube flavor (and other Filipino flavors like pandan and turon) for their drinks. I got an ube matcha (super delish, tho in the future I'd ask for less sweet) and a spam musubi (wrapped in plastic wrap, which makes it the perfect airport snack to eat without having to touch it with your hands). It's a little out of the way tucked near Gate 21, but I'd definitely take the short detour if you have the time for some yummy treats!

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #109…read more I was not expecting much out of Neighborhood Bubble Tea and Cafe - Boba in an airport in the US? No way it could be any good! But on a recent trip to Nashville, we decided to trudge all the way over from the A-gates to give this place a try. This shop is tucked away in the side arm of the D-gate area, making it much less crowded than the main walkway in the terminal. There are two ways to order - firstly via the kiosk (no line when we visited) and secondly in person (a line of 5 or 6 people). Black Milk Tea w/ Boba ($8) - I ordered via kiosk to save time and totally blanked on the fact that it doesn't allow ice or sugar level adjustments. Just as I went to pick up the drink about 5 minutes after my order, I thought about this fact and started worrying about the sugar levels. At 100% sweet, I typically find most other boba shops cloyingly sweet. This place, fortunately, uses cane sugar, so the sweetness is more mellow and not as grating. Even at full sweetness, while a little too much for my palette, isn't harsh or overwhelming. The drink comes with whole milk by default. Unlike other more premium shops that only add a splash of milk on top, this one seems to be more like 50/50 tea vs. milk. This adds a bunch of richness to the drink, but also increases the dairy flavor quite a bit, which combined with the sugar overpowers the tea a little. There's still some of the malty and somewhat fruity notes towards the end of the sip. They add a ton of ice. That's something I will definitely be asking for adjustment on in the future. The boba isn't bad at all. There are some issues with consistency in terms of size and due to that, texture. They are soaked in brown sugar syrup, giving a soft and velvety texture on the exterior. The smaller pearls are chewy throughout, while the larger pearls are a bit too firm and grainy towards the center. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 I was really surprised by the quality of the drink I received. Honestly, before visiting, I thought this would be more of a 2 star kind of place! They also serve some really intriguing Filipino snacks that I'd love to come back to try out.
