So disheartening to write a negative review. I am a big fan of Kathy Casey. She had an outlet at Pike Place Market, that I loved. She had a great variety of food offerings. All were delicious. Bought many i from here. Sad when this outlet closed. She had a great variety of breakfast, lunch sandwiches and baked goods. All high quality. Loved stopping here. Every item was well thought out and tasty. So when I traveled through Sea-Tac, imagine how excited I am to see her name. I believe l can count on delectable goods. What a great idea, upgrading terrible offerings at the airport to better selections. Sadly, something happened in the transition from the Pike Place Market to Sea-Tac. The service that was once friendly and welcoming, is now hostile. The food offerings are a mere shadow of the quality goods once offered. I morn the once splendid offerings. Now, rude service is here. And subpar offerings. What happened Kathy? You know good food. Come incognito and experience the horrible way your name and food are represented. Picked up several items here that were very good. Deviled eggs (as good as, no better, than home made), a "Tray" Delicious Flight Snack pack with grapes, apple chutney, hummus, crackers, and cheese, and a toffee cookie. It's expensive airport food much like pretty much all airport food but if you find yourself waiting for a flight near this place, you're hungry and have the money to spare - this certainly is not a bad option whatsoever! They have a great selection of grab n' go snacks that are fancy AF like deviled eggs, gourmet sandwiches, fruit, veggie and cheese platters. Mmmmm mmmmm- The hippie dippie sandwich with veggies and pesto cream cheese on wheat bread as well as the cheese and crackers snack platter were both fabulous! Alaska Airlines lets you pre-order a box of charcuterie/cheese board items for your flight that is not worth the price. Everything is wrapped up clean in it's packaging, but the quality of each product doesn't make you feel like you're getting value for that $7. So I headed for the Hudson shop for their cheese plate box and although it's similarly priced, they always have way too much cheese in the box. I mean seriously, it's like the cheese is going to go bad so they're trying to salvage it by shoving it into the airport packs. Plus it's simple stuff like cheddar with ritz crackers and I love stuff like that, but you couldn't finish that box on a 1.5 hour flight. Hoping for better, walked to my gate and found the Dish D'Lish stand and wtf, same price point, better quality and variety. I liked the hard boiled eggs swimming in a cup of water with a sprinkling of bacon salt. What a great idea for packaging because it looked clean, yet a cut above. Apparently they are known for their deviled eggs which I wish I'd known because they do look delish and I will be getting them for my next flight. I walked away with the Tray Delicious Flight Snack Pack, which a generous portion of crackers for your two dips: red pepper hummus with olives and goat cheese with a spoonful of apple chutney. The tray also comes with a nice portion of grapes and a piece of Tillamook cheese. It was filling, fancy, and the same price as the Hudson basic cheese pack around the corner. Pricey grab in go in the SeaTac airport in the C gates (right by C16). However what airport food isn't expensive these days? If you're going to spend money on a snack, I'd recommend dish d'lish. They had an amazing selection of healthier options from cous cous salad, lettuce salads, fruit cups, drinks, apples, Seattle chocolate and more. I got a Greek yogurt parfait with fruit and crunchy granola. I like that it listed the macros and calories and how delicious and fresh it was. Exactly what I needed amidst a long day of traveling. Dish D'Lish at SeaTac used to have a sit-down venue with hot foods, then it shrank to this little take-out-only spot. I'm not going to lie. I am really glad they survived even if the space is about as big as a large closet. Compared to buying a seriously overpriced tube of Pringles, bag of Bugles or Chex Mix, I will gladly pay the also overpriced snacks here. (It's the airport, everything is overpriced!) But the items here are healthy with quality ingredients. Try a fresh blueberry Greek yogurt with granola, or deviled eggs, or a mini salad, or a sandwich. When I used to business travel, I regularly bought the ultra tuna salad cup. Or if I am traveling with my husband, we would split a tuna salad sandwich. Their tuna salad is really good! FYI if you are browsing the photos, some of them are obsolete. The bigger restaurant space with tables is gone. Ditto with the hot foods; there is not any at the current take-and-go retail. I wish this airport had a place that did smoothie bowls. Before boarding I don't want a bunch of breaded breakfast sandwiches and I don't want salad for breakfast. This place has an okay priced berry yogurt parfait with granola. I was very please with the item. It was $5.99 + tax so not exactly cheap, but the item was fresh and the berries were delicious. I think this little spot in terminal C is a great gem if you're trying to find a pre-wrapped snack or even one that's keto friendly. I had the tuna salad in a cup which was pretty tasty (does have pickles). The cups are plastic heat sealed which was so nice, especially if you're grabbing and tossing in your backpack (vs just a plastic lid that can easily pop off, making your snack flow out). The tuna cup was topped with a few cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes and arugula. They also have salami and cheese snacks too and the brand they carry is nice. I really recommend this place! Dish D'Lish's chicken salad sandwich is my go-to lunch to carry onboard a plane in SeaTac airport. It's a good sandwich in an airport with lots of low-quality sandwiches available. I've also tried their tuna and egg salad, and while they're both OK, the chicken salad is a better choice. I'll observe that the price of a chicken salad sandwich has gone up in recent time -- from $9.49 before the pandemic to $12.25 in January 2023. So it's not as good a value as it used to be. Still, it's better than the alternatives from the many other vendors at the airport. read more

Located down at the end of the Alaska terminal (the C concourse) is this solid spot to grab a quick bite on the go. While I'm normally a bit leery of airport food, the stuff in Seattle ups the game a bit. This place, while not the pinnacle of amazing, is a step above many spots. They sell all sorts of goodies here, including plenty of keto friendly options and a good amount of stuff I haven't seen anywhere else - case and point - "Bacon and Eggs"...a couple hard boiled eggs with bacon flavored salt. All the taste, no grease! They also have deviled eggs, some really good looking burrata with olives and tomatoes as well as tons of sandwiches and salads. Prices are expensive, but airport reasonable. Paying a little more for higher quality has recently become something that we appreciate, especially at an airport. Hot garbage is $7, the sandwiches here are around $10. End of the day, you best grab something here before or after your flight and save yourself the heartache that follows paying $7 for something you'd question feeding to your dog. I picked the Chia and Oat Berry Cup (basically overnight oats mixed with delicious chia). It was the absolute perfect mixture of ingredients - so yummy! I was a little surprised that there were still stems on a few of the blueberries in my cup. No worries at all, they were easy to remove. But you don't see that often! If you're a health nut at the airport then you probably cringe at McDonalds and all the other high calorie, overly cheesey and greasy options at the airport. But don't be too disheartened because Dish D'lish serves healthier options at the airport. Now I love all food - healthy and not but today I was particularly hoping for something light before I took flight (my stomach can't handle heavy food and flying). So we stopped by here and took a look at their options. My partner decided to go with a turkey basil pesto panini. They also serve an assortment of breakfast sandwiches. In their refrigerator case they have some sandwiches such as tuna salad, chicken tarragon and thoughtful turkey. Most of these come on wheat or whole grain bread. I chose the thoughtful turkey which also had basil pesto, red pepper hummus, arugula and cucumber. I also got a berry parfait to share and it comes with vanilla fat free yogurt, northwest berries and granola. Now like any other airport place, it's overpriced. In total it was around $22 and I would normally not pay that much for the amount of food they gave. But it tends to be that healthier options usually cost more and the airport can charge more cause people gotta eat. The panini looked as if it needed more filling but was decent. My sandwich was actually pretty good and tasted hearty. The parfait though was way too sweet. The syrup at the bottom could have been toned down and the granola was almost sickeningly too much sugar. However, I was glad we could get a lighter option before boarding and taking out. I'm glad they have fresh fruit and salads here as well. Wanted something for breakfast before our flight. ATMOSPHERE: They're a cafe-style restaurant located in the main terminal wing. The panini-style sandwiches are all prepped and refrigerated so all they do is heat them up on the press. They also have cold sandwiches and all types of coffees. BEVERAGE: Cafe mocha - Great taste. Not overly sweet. FOOD: Egg bacon & cheese sandwich - It's a thicker white bread with sesame seed crust done in the panini press. It was damn good! Being a light breakfast eater, I ate half and took the other half on the plane. SERVICE: The ladies were all friendly, smiley and patient. The cashier on Thursday night told me that yesterday, Friday 10/20/17, was Dish D'lish's last day in its current SeaTac central food court adjacent location. That makes me sad. Despite great cookies, this Dish D'Lish location always seemed to under-perform its potential- it never seemed nearly as busy as it should have been. Part of that was its awkward location - it was near the food court's great hall, but just off to the side enough to be overlooked. I think if it as being like the store next to the department store entrance inside a mall - people just walk on by. I also thought the buildout was wrong because you couldn't see in and the views of the great food were blocked by seating and inexplicably high pony walls. The interior was also much too dark. It always looked closed. Its sandwich menu was also problematic. I looked at this menu so many times but never saw anything savory I wanted, with one exception- one time I did get the EXTREME Grilled Cheese. It was fine but super-rich and hardly extreme. I'm a sandwich guy - give me some spice, or some sizzle, or deli favorites - none of the sandwich options on the menu really called out to me. Sure, Dish D'lish had its challenges, but for me all ills were redeemed by its cookies. Dish D'lish has the best damn cookies on the West Coast north of San Francisco, period. I've had the always-good iconic chocolate chip, the funny-named but wonderful classic snickerdoodle, and the crave-worthy chocolate toffee s'mores cookie too. All are FANTASTIC. Most of my flights in and out of SeaTac are through the 'B' gates so I haven't stumbled upon the new Dish D'Lish "C" concourse location. I need to track it down. Every once in awhile I get a burr under my saddle that I need to eat better. Invariably, it happens at a place that does not have the most healthy options. This is what happened last Friday at Sea-Tac Airport. Luckily, I found a pretty decent option near my gate called Dish D'Lish by Kathy Casey. Who is Kathy Casey? After a quick internet search after the fact, she is a former James Beard nominee and I am shocked that I have never heard of her (I watch a lot of cooking shows). The place has many sandwiches, salads and to go items to satisfy your needs and looked to do some good work at breakfast. The vibe is bistro-ish and I had no problem getting seated. The order was the "Pacific Rim Chicken Salad" and an appetizer of "Kathy Casey's Deviled Eggs N' Bacon" I was pretty happy with what I ordered. The salad had roasted and herbed chicken that was juicy and not pressed. The veggies and mandarin oranges were nice and fresh. The Sesame dressing was not very flavorful but after the fact I looked at the menu and it was low fat so...wah wah. The deviled eggs were a home run. The topping was creamy and flavorful and the bacon really came through. It was almost like Bacon N Cheddar Eazy Cheez and I mean that as a complement. In the context of "airport food" - 4 stars. I don't expect much from airport restaurants, so if I get something that's a bit above average, I'm pretty happy. My breakfast sandwich was definitely premade and reheated, but for all that it was actually really tasty and quite a generous size for $7. They use really good bread and quality cheese which makes a difference. The people working were nice, even at 6am. There are lots of grab and go choices if you are in a rush and they offer a good number of fairly healthy options. I'm always at the airport and this is my go to place inside Seattle Tacoma International Airport. You can find a variety of things to eat here from pastries, soup, sandwiches and salad. I like this place the most because it has seating inside and it's nice to get away from the crowd in the main food court area. It's quite pricy but what do you expect at the airport? This place is pretty good for airport food, although it is pricey!! I was immediately attracted by the fact that there are some booths and good sit-down restaurants, plus it's a bit more away from the bigger restaurants in the central terminal of the airport. I wanted to order one of the panini's, but for some odd reason...they had absolutely none of them that day and it was prime lunchtime! So instead, I opted to get a strata (it's a unique egg bake w/ cheese and bread), roasted artichoke and tomato soup, plus a handshaken pomegranate lemonade. The food was much better than a lot of other airport places and overall, I liked it...but I probably wouldn't come here again because it was pricey - I paid about $20 and the cup of soup was pretty small! I do like the fact that they have a pastry display here (similar to Panera Bread), where you can buy cookies! I also bought some toffee cookies and they were SUPER chewy and delicious!!! I would probably come back here for those cookies! The service here really sucks, but that's a given at the airport. While flying back home on our trip, my partner was hungry, and surveying the area of food choices, we finally turned around and decided to park our butts at this food vendor. Sea-Tac airport can be pretty big, and with a variety of food choices by looking at what they served, it looked pretty good. They serve a variety of panini's and soups here, and we decided to go for their seasonal soup. Looking for something good to eat at an airport can be hard to find, and what was around this stall was an Ivar's, Wendy's, and some generic Japanese stall, and a wine bar (but we weren't in for the booze!) and then there was this place. They seemed to promote good, clean eating, and we ordered. You can't really mess up the look of soup, and to hungry eyes, anything looks good, but when we tried it, I can say that there was a ton of sodium in this thing. I thought it was the crackers I was eating but my partner was the first to confirm this. This place is practically a diner, you line up, you pay, you pick up your food, and you sit. Up until 6 years ago, I used to be a 150,000 miles a year frequent flier. Dish D'Lish was where I'd get my first cup of coffee and sometimes a breakfast snack. The other day, after putting my wife on a plane for her family visit, I went down memory lane by stopping here for a muffin and a cuppa. I always liked their coffee and was glad to see it was still as good as remembered. Their large muffins and panini style breakfast sandwiches are still offered. This is not McDonalds. The offerings are much nicer and more cafe style than fast food. But one watch out - it is the airport and they do have much higher prices than one would charge in a city setting. Bored at Seatac? Long layover? Craving a delicious cookie? Well you came to the right place. Holy crap, the chocolate toffee s'mores cookie here is amazing. It has the consistency of not only a cookie but also brittle since the toffee they use melts onto the wax paper it was baked on which leaves a caramel crust. I am not really sure if they used marshmallows in the cookie despite it being called a "s'mores" cookie but I had no problem with the way the cookie ended up. Initially I was SO EXCITED about this place, after wandering in and seeing little side portions of grilled chicken (in bags - lol) because that's legit ALL I wanted. I also saw sides of hummus and the combo of grilled chicken and hummus sounded delicious. To be honest, IT TRULY WAS... It was a great plane meal, however, about an hour after eating it, I started to feel like CRAP... And it only got worse from there. Nauseated. Hot flashes. A little stomach distinction. I did NOT feel good and the plane ride can't be blamed because it was surprisingly perfectly smooth. When we landed, I only felt worse too. I ate this combo (which really was delicious DURING the eating process) around 1pm and I wasn't hungry or ready to eat or NOT NAUSEATED until around 8/8:30pm.... Ugh. THE WORST. Maybe I ate too much? Maybe the chicken was a tad bit under done? Maybe it was something from the day before... All I know is I don't think I can look at straight grilled chicken for a long while as it makes me queasy just thinking about it. Womp Womp. Two stars??? Here's why: Sullen employees - I really don't need your attitude when my heart is feeling as empty as my stomach. Desserts so tough they break your plastic fork - there is no telling how long they have been sitting there, but they *look* so deceptively good! Dirty tables that are really close together - a clean table would really help make the lead-up to an impending departure a bit more pleasant. The sandwich was okay, and the last employee I dealt with was actually rather nice. But all these factors combine to make Dish D'Lish (Sea-tac) the 3rd worst thing about departing from Seattle. I was there waiting for a plane to show up and whisk me away to Spokanistan for Turkey day. However, I did have the best lemonade ever. Only $3.75 plus tax.
