Love love love. Best collard greens I've ever had. Great fresh food, great service. You'll never be disappointed.

Everything on the menu is delicious!!!! Make sure you save room for dessert. Safe is amazing and friendly. A must visit in DeLand.

BakeChop is awesome! The food is unique and fresh. I don't know what they do to their sloppy joe sauce but it's so good! I had the Lefthander. Whoever thought to put plantains on a burger was genius. I've also tried the Ol Henry burger. Both burgers were excellent. This restaurant is a must try in Deland. read more

Went today for first time. Best tomato soup I have ever had! Ordered the chicken sandwich with beet and goat cheese salad. OMG delicious. My husband had the sausage and corn relish sandwich. He said it was outatansing! read more

So excited for this new eatery in town!! The food is quick, inspired and conscious. Everything that I have had so far is absolutely delicious. They have options to satisfy your burger craving or something lighter, depending on your mood that day. The atmosphere is wonderful and fun. We had a blast sitting at the family style table one night. There breakfast menu is excellent! We have had several pastries and many croissants and they are absolutely amazing. There cappuccino is by far the best cup I have EVER had in Deland. They get their grinds from local Trilogy as well which is awesome. I definitely encourage you to come try BakeChop! From the servers, to the food, to the atmosphere - this place is wonderful! read more

We had high expectations based on friends recommendations, but I have to say that we we both disappointed in the food (lentil soup and the quiche). Both we heavily over salted. Our friends had similar concerns about the onion rings. For the price I expect better food and better service. read more

Phenomenal food. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Limited seating, so be prepared to wait a few, especially during peak meal times. However, it's popular for a reason. Oh yeah, the deserts are homemade. Full coffee bar as well. Would definitely go back again. read more

Great little gem in Funky Downtown Deland. Will be back for sure. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Flavor explosions! Friendly service.

Yum. Great restaurant that uses quality, local ingredients. Had the Billy Madison and was blown away. Those spicy collards? Wow. You can't go wrong. I look forward to returning soon to sample other items on the menu. read more

Love love love!!! The food, atmosphere, family style seating and baked goods are all amazing. This is a local hot spot. There are a lot of us who eat there daily and are all becoming good friends over the amazing meals we get to eat. I can't wait to see what the soup of the day is because it's always great. Food is fresh and interested. Thanks for making DeLand an even better place to live. read more

Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The farm to table concept is a welcome addition to DeLand. The fresh flavors and creative food combinations made for an outstanding meal. Awesome gluten free options were greatly appreciated!!! read more

So this is our new favourite date night spot! Reminds us of a midtown Miami secret eatery that a friend tells you about, and so you keep it a secret so no one else knows and eff it up for you, . Seriously though, this will be a weekly event for us! read more

My coworkers and I go here a lot. It is pricey but so worth it. Today I had the "5 second rule" and it was very tasty,

One of my Husbands clients highly recommended the Bake Chop. The service was wonderful, the food was absolutely delicious, and we just overall enjoyed it so so much. I highly recommend this place. Oh yea, the Lighting was calming very relaxing place! read more

Good food! Made fresh before our eyes. Each dish from salad to soup to sandwich was individually mixed cooked prepared and topped at the time it was ordered. Fresh! Interesting side vegs as well as old favorites. It's hard to make rutabaga a stand alone but there's was creamy and pleasant. The cupcake was big enough to share and delicious. read more

Friendly and attentive servers. Food is super fresh and delicious. I had the Vegan TLT and would happily it again, but I think I also need to try the salads which look amazing. Great sides. This place gets busy, so get there early. read more

The Conrad (tasty meatball sub) is the best. Whenever I go, I want to try the other items on the menu, but I always end up craving the Conrad. When it comes to the desserts, it's always so hard to choose, but you can never go wrong. read more

Update since my last visitation (almost 4 years ago!!): I came back with my wife--this time w/o my KIDS--made a huge difference in her temperament...anyhow, "Roger Dodger" has now become "The Left Hander," and it's basically a hybridised burger/chorizo, which honestly sounded very appealing to read, so I was like 'let's see how things go on my second attempt at a chorizo-inspired dish' (I'm all about comebacks )...And it was PERFECT! Absolutely delicious, juicy and jammed with complexity. I also ordered a beets and goat cheese side dish, and that was a clever addition to the menu by the owner because it created such a fine balance to the natural greases from the chorizo, or any burger for that matter, so I really recommend this combo. Then, there was the beer. They have this special tangerine IPA, which is hands-down the BEST craft beer I've had all year--it's from Tampa, and I really appreciate when restaurants go the distance to impress their customers. The waitress told me that they have it special ordered from the microbrewery, obviously the owner isn't going to settle for local mediocrity. I mean, that alone just shows you the level of dedication and commitment this establishment has toward providing quality service. Not much else I can say other than a tremendous 'thank you' to the fine people who work at this place! We will be back again soon :) read more

The food here is fantastic. You can't find fresher or better cooked vegetables in central Florida. Soups are all homemade and I haven't seen the same soup twice. The menu is constantly changing with what's in season and is always great read more

We have eaten here many times. A quaint and unique restaurant. Food and service are always good. We highly recommend Bake Chop.

This is currently my favorite restaurant in Deland. Every experience has been fantastic. The menu is creative and the food always tastes better than I imagine it will. The staff is always polite and prompt. At my last visit, they accommodated our party of 10 with timely service for lunch. After spilling my to go dessert and without request, they replaced it with another free of charge. read more

The individual that met us at the door was rude and lacked any real personality. When he told us the wait was 15 to 20 min we requested that we would stay onsite. He told me he needed my number and he would call and we had to leave the restaurant to wait. We decided to eat at the competition around the corner, Table. We had an absolutely wonderful meal and had already been served our meals long before his "15 min" wait was over. I would suggest a hostess and some signage to prevent issues like this in the future. Perhaps you just don't need the business. read more

Great food. We came in around 730 one evening, three of us, and were seated without a wait. Food was really good, especially the venison sausage. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable and one of the owners was super attentive. Very polite and she stopped by the table several times to check on us. I recommend this place and will be back often. read more

I'm so glad we finally made it to this local gem! We had heard such good reviews of BakeChop, but I was blown away by how good the food was! Very unique and fresh. We will definitely be back!! read more

YUM! Have never had a bad meal in here, The Left Hander is delicious, my favorite. The sides are amazing, try the beets and goat cheese. I was disappointed that the cheesecake was sold out so settled on an almond cookie......and that is my new favorite. Probably the best non chcoolate dessert on the planet! read more

Great burgers and unusual sides, we stopped in for an early dinner. I ordered the burger with chorizo and it was super tasty. My mom ordered the burger with sauteed onions and sweet potatoe fries. The fries were crispy and really tasty. My burger was way better, I choose the roasted cauliflower for a side and is was really good. The deserts looked amazing. I choose the chocolate crossiant, it was good too, but way thicker than most croissants. read more

YUMMY. Great vegetarian dishes. Fresh and tasty salads. Very cute spot.

This was our second visit to Bake Chop and we weren't disappointed. Their food is great and the servers are friendly. I love the fact that their approach is farm to table style cooking. They grow some of their own produce and also get produce from a local farm in our area. We can't wait to try another item on the menu on our next visit. read more

One of my favorite restaurants! There is something on the menu for everyone, and if you have allergies or special food needs, they are more than happy to work with you and take it seriously. The atmosphere is laid back and fun and is great if you want to grab a bite to eat by yourself or for date night or a family dinner. Highly recommend! read more

Really good food, friendly staff and a family table weber we met and talked to some interesting people. Got the rodger dodger, left hander, slaw and to die for spicy collards. read more

A hidden gem tucked away in Artisan Alley in deLand. LOVE everything we've had here. You must try this place.

The food is very good and the location is small, but nicely done. Unfortunately, the waitstaff requires some additional training regarding attending to the patrons, not to make excuses for poor service based on their inability to be observant, and appropriate delivery sequence regarding starters should arrive prior to entree. We will try it again...really hope they work on consistency here. read more

Delicious! Seriously, I was impressed. I'll definitely be back. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the Lefthander was more than enough for lunch and I finished it bc it was too good to waste! read more

This is an update to my review for Bake Chop in Deland from 2 weeks ago. To be fair, went there again on Saturday, February 4, 2017 for lunch. Right around noon. Totally different experience in terms of service. This time waiter came over immediately with menus and asked for drink orders. Within 2-3 minutes a waitress came over with the drinks and took our orders. She turned out to be our permanent waitress for the entire time and was fantastic - very attentive and cordial. It goes without saying that the food was great. So I don't know, did they read my prior review or was the time 2 weeks ago an aberration ? I will give them the benefit of the doubt and guess the latter. In any event, huge improvement and lovely experience. We can't wait to go there again. You should go also !!!!! read more

yummy food and friendly atmosphere! i haven't gotten anything there that i didn't like. great addition to the downtown deland area :)
