We were looking for a quick breakfast spot last Saturday morning, and we found Trilogy Kitchen. Although the menu is not as expansive as I expected, there's a lot to choose from! A small cafe that cooks wholesome food with just the right balance of everything (they know how to use acid-think pickled onions lime in mayo!) I had the latte with vegan chocolate flavor and a blt. Cute and quiet little breakfast/brunch place in DeLand! Came here on a Thursday morning and it wasn't too crowded, so there were plenty of seats to sit at. You order at the counter and you get a number and they will bring your order to the table you sit at. I got the Skillet Hash and it was delicious! I ordered sunny side up eggs and they were perfectly cooked and cooked with cheddar cheese which was new to me and it paired well with the eggs. They were served over grilled bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms which were good but a bit too greasy. The bacon was standard and good. My favorite part was the thyme/dill home fries which were flavorful and crispy. I was a bit confused because I thought skillet hashes would have all the components combined together but the complements here were separated, but it was still good. For drinks, I got the orange juice which seemed like regular store bought orange juice. I also tried my friend's avocado toast and that was good as well! I loved the fresh avocado taste and the pickled onions which paired with it perfectly. The poached egg was also cooked perfectly. The servers were friendly and the interior and bathrooms were clean which I appreciated. There's also plenty of parking out front. I would recommend this place as a solid option for breakfast/brunch in DeLand and I want to try their coffee one day. read more

My husband and I like to look for new brunch spots on the weekend and we stumbled upon this cafe - the "cafe" part of the DeLand Cat Cafe - one Saturday. Trilogy Kitchen is a breakfast, brunch and lunch spot /cafe located in DeLand. This quaint cafe has minimal decor and lets the food and beverages steal the show. It was a little warm for my liking, but they did have fans on. Upon entering, you place your order at the counter and then grab a table. Your food is brought to the table when ready. My husband and I tried the biscuit flight (minus the bacon maple biscuit, which was sold out) and the ham and cheese panini with truffle chips. We shared both dishes. The biscuits are filling and dense. The flavor is on point, but I wish they were fluffier. The biscuit flight comes with an assortment of butters/spreads and I absolutely loved the strawberry butter! In regards to the panini, my husband and I agreed that it could benefit from added flavor - perhaps a spicy mustard or an aoli. Regardless, the staff was awesome and we enjoyed our visit! read more

2nd time coming and won't be my last! Kind staff, indoor and outdoor seating, coffee was good and everyone that i've come with loved their meal. You can order to dine-in or to-go. You order up front and then they bring you your order once it's made. I'm excited to try their pancakes. And if you have time- Next door you can check out the cat cafe. I ordered the Breakfast sandwich ($8) with bacon (+$2) and it was perfect. The biscuit has chives & cheese- fluffy and not dry at all. Very good sandwich for the price and filling. My friends ordered the crunch wrap & avocado toast and they enjoyed their meal too! Nice breakfast and lunch joint. Hey follow Yelpers/foodie, I'm back in action. Today I'm at Trilogy Kitchen and I must say in the Deland, FL area this spot is a bright light to the community. Their breakfast menu looks amazing. Even though I came at lunch time you can still smell the essence of pancakes and Maple in the air, with a mix of coffee. lol! This place is clean, as you walk in you can tell that they take Pride in what they do and the up keep of the establishment. In my time (back in the days) I worked as a inspector for restaurants in NYC, if this place was on my list from what I can see it is kept up up to par with an "A" rating. (In the front end from what I can see). The Storage area is kept organized, behind the counter is also kept organized and clean. With heavy rotation of customers, each table is clean as people come in and out for their own experience. I ordered a B.L.T and a Chi Latte from there Coffee mixologist Ally. They offer to go and also to dine in. The employees are very friendly and always gave a smile to each customer that came in and interacted with them. From my observation they even remember the names of their regulars. Oh and I can't for get parking. No need to look for parking or park on the street. Parking is provided on the property. Over all, great food, clean environment and a friendly face equals where you would want to be. To the owners of Trilogy Kitchen, please let Ally know she is a great addition to Trilogy and she made me feel welcome to come again and enjoy dining with y'all again for breakfast/lunch. My daughter wanted pancakes and I wanted to get her good pancakes. I looked at the pictures and reviews and thought this place looks good. We drove about 22 mins to find out they don't even have pancakes! When I asked the you girl in the front why would they have pictures of pancakes but not sell them? of course she said they hadn't updated their menu online. ok so then I asked for the picture of what looks like a delicious drink with whip cream. She didn't even know what it was! Since I drove all that way. I ordered a grams breakfast. I realized they didn't give me the gravy, which hello, is the star of the meal! Again, the girl tells me they don't have and they are not sure how long it will take to make more.... the food was ok. I ended up getting a latte which was good and decorated with the milk. Beautiful restaurant the ambiance is welcoming simple and to the point. The service was kind and friendly. I got 2 eggs scrambled with the beyond sausage Pattie's and a buttermilk biscuit. The sausage patties were a little on the salty side but flavor was there. They are known for their biscuits and the biscuit was okay. The cafe meñu is large but the food meņu is small and limited (don't expect a hearty meal) but overall it's a popular place to go to meet the locals. The hours of operation is limited to those who want morning Java when driving to work. Typically opens at 8am and closes at 2pm. They are closed on Monday and sometimes also closed on Tuesdays. My kiddos and I love this place! We have been big fans of Trilogy and were so excited to know the owners were opening up a new location even closer to our neighborhood. Everything we've ordered has been soooo yummy, especially the homemade blueberry lemon pop tarts! Those were life changing, let me tell you. For some reason the oat milk latte tastes even better at this location. The biscuits are so perfect, as was the breakfast hash. Looking forward to returning to try more of the menu. I had heard some good things so I tried it out. Always looking for that standout restaurant. At 12:45 on a Tuesday, the place was empty save 2 people having a meeting of some sort. The decor was a vast improvement over the old Gram's Kitchen, clean and modern. Reading the menu, I thought I'd taken a wrong turn into California!! Good variety of healthy options like wraps and veggies, Personally, I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy and all I could find that sounded good was the "smashburger" for $13. The sandwich arrived on a 10" plate by itself. Looked pretty lonely sitting there on an empty plate. I was a little stunned by the presentation. A little cole slaw, maybe some chips, a pickle spear...anything to at least make it look like a good value! All told, with water to drink, no sides, with minimal tip came to $16.18. Definitely a sign of the economic times. The service was pleasant and good and the sandwich wasn't bad, in fact was pretty tasty and perfectly greasy and dripping with juice, but I can't afford another. I really hope they do well. We need quality diners but for me, it's going to take some work. read more

Trilogy is the perfect breakfast spot. Well priced, good quality and friendly staff! My wife and I have been several times and continued to be impressed. Admittedly, they were a little slow when they first opened, but they have tightened things up and it's pretty quick service as you'd expect! I would recommend Grans plate, a homage to the old establishment, it's everything I love in a breakfast, eggs and bacon, but you don't have to make the difficult choice between home fries and biscuits n' gravy! You get both! I've also had the Huevos Rancheros and it definitely deserves a recommendation as well! It's spicy, creamy and so flavorful, definitely an great way to jumpstart your morning! They remolded it nicely with a rustic/modern vibe, but most importantly it's clean and well maintained! The outdoor area is great on cool mornings! The coffee, as with the original trilogy is great!
