My cousin and I met for brunch at +Bake Café. For a restaurant that offers food, there was very limited seating and no sense of order. For instance, there were groups that came after me who rushed for the table and didn't even order for a long time. Even when we pointed it out, the restaurant didn't care. Honestly if they waited, the folks who came first would have been done with their food by the time their food comes out. Total chaos. Also they ask their guests to put away their own food. The guests before us didn't so I had to clean up the table myself. My cousin has a health issue where the outdoor heat isn't good for her so I had to be a vulture with these tables. Sigh. And in general I know she prefers the cuteness of the indoors. I wanted to get the Take Ur Seat Salad, but they would only add chicken to it when I wanted a different protein. Honestly I'm not sure what's so hard about throwing on a different protein. But they let me do the rice bowl and substitute the rice with salad... Honestly isn't it easier to let me do the salad and add protein? So my cousin and I both got the Rice Bowl ($15.95) with the Longanisa. My cousin had hers normal with the rice and I had the salad substitute. For those unfamiliar longanisa is a sweet and savory sausage. The food tasted decent but the portion is really small for the pricing. There was barely any egg. Not a very satisfying meal. The experience isn't enjoyable enough for me to come back and I feel like the portions are small. It might be a good spot to pick up coffee for the road, but not a sit down brunch. read more

We visited one morning around 8:30 and they were not too busy. There are a few tables inside, some with barstools, some along a bench. Those were actually quite uncomfortable , because the bench seemed higher than the table. The interior design is cute and everything was clean. Our order: Strawberry matcha latte with oat milk $8 plus $1 extra for the oat milk Mexican side car, hot $ 6.50 Pistachio croissant $5.50 Almond croissant $5.00 The flavor of the drinks was good, but I found $9 for a regular sized matcha latte expensive. The Pandan latte and the Spanish latte were both good. I asked for the pandan latte less sweet, I don't like super sweet coffee if I order a sweet pastry with it. The honey miso croissant was really good, the miso was light and not strong. The Nutella croissant was rich and generously filled. The pistachio croissant was a favorite, tasted like baklava and a croissant combined. The breakfast sandwich was generous in portion, creamy sauce was not very spicy, just a touch, rich cheese and bacon with eggs that were light and fluffy. The potato's that came with it were the crispiest home fries, definitely deep fried. The chicken bowl had a good kick, one that builds and creeps up on you. What a great find. I honestly couldn't find anything wrong with this place. It has excellent pastries, drinks, and food in a cozy environment. Staff members were all friendly and helpful. As an added bonus, it has one of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. As soon as I entered every staff member greeted me and asked if I had any questions while I was entering my order on the kiosk. The person making my order also addressed me by my name as soon as my order was entered. I ordered the Hot Chick Bowl and Mexican Side Car Latte for dine in, and grabbed some pastries on the way out. Hot Chick Bowl was surprisingly good. It's pan fried chicken with TUS (Take Ur Seat) hot sauce, green onions, and crispy onions, served with salad and rice. I added $1 extra to get all salad instead of rice. The flavor on the chicken was great, and loved the contrast with fried crispy onions. Mexican Side Car Latte was excellent. It's basically an horchata latte but sweetened with bourbon brown sugar syrup. The drink was so well balanced, I was able to taste every ingredient in equal amount. No one ingredient overpowered the other. It was still a bold tasting drink overall, so I'm glad I got it iced. It might have been little too rich if I ordered it hot. For pastries to go I got its famous Honey Miso Croissant, Pistachio Raspberry Croissant, and Ube Toffee Cookie. The miso croissant wasn't as weird as I expected. The miso was subtle and just added some saltiness to contrast the sweetness from honey. The Ube Toffee Cookie was thick and chewy with a decent amount of ube flavor. Excellent in every way! Most restaurants in CA have food that is OK, several have good food, but so few have food good enough to elevate your day. I have enjoyed several meals and coffees at Bake+, and every time the experience improves my day. The food is delicious, every single time, the ambience is bright and soothing, fresh and unique. The food is consistently delicious, and I've really enjoyed exploring their menu with the savory pork belly and longganisa plates. Take Ur Seat's little cafe tucked into the depths of Rancho Cucamonga. There are only five tables inside and a couple outside. It's counter service but they bring the food out to you when you dine in. My tofu and mushroom bowl was very filling. I ask for some of the green chili that they put on a different dish because it's soooo good. Not spicy btw it's just flavorful. The pork belly in the belly2belly bowl is soft and basically melts in your mouth. Matcha did the job, wasn't bad but not daily fix worthy. TUS is one of those places where I always end up meeting someone for brunch who hasn't been because it's something different. That being said, each time I've been to TUS Too, the service got worse each visit. It was so bad I told myself to never go back and was very reluctant to even give the cafe a shot. My husband and I have been here twice so far. We came during their soft opening and got a variety of baked goods including cookies and basque cheesecake slices. It's super casual where you order first and can sit down at one of their indoor or outdoor tables. The second time we came for breakfast. Case in point, the caramel gochujang cookie. Yep.. you did not read it wrong. It's sweet and spicy at the same time and so delicious. I recently stopped by for a hit of caffeine and a light snack before getting my hair cut. Everything on +Bake's menu grabbed my attention. I struggled to order after seeing their selection of enormous cookies, croissants, and basque cheesecakes. I'm a sucker for Asian-fusion and couldn't stop drooling over their pandan Biscoff snickerdoodle cookies. It took all my self restraint to stick to two items: the Mexican Sidecar and Spam Musubi. Both picks were 10/10. The Mexican Sidecar mixes all my favorite things: espresso, horchata, cinnamon, and whiskey brown sugar syrup. Since they've opened several months ago. I've been here an exorbitant amount of times since. Their matcha strawberry drink is really good. The strawberry tempers the bitterness from the matcha. The matcha drink itself I no longer get. Because I've been spoiled with the matcha drinks at Airoma Cafe . Anyways, there pandan drink too is really good. I enjoyed the bitterness in it. Their snacks and pastries are amazing as well. The garlic cream cheese croissant is my go to snack. I had their raspberry honey one today and it was good too. But I do prefer the garlic cream cheese. This is a tough review to write. Pros: Most of the food is amazing! Their matcha green tea iced latte is very high quality, and their cookies are ridiculously delicious. Like, a legit problem delicious. Service is super nice. Cons: 1. Extremely expensive. I get it, the food IS high quality, but this place is more of a 'treat yourself' vs a 'go a few times a week' 2. I got severely food poisoned off a spam musubi item there. :( 3. Parking can be a bit tough depending on time of day, as the parking lot is shared with a lot of other businesses. 4. Food can take a VERY long time to prepare, like over 30 min. I think they have an online ordering option but I've had issues with it. So call ahead if you are in a rush. read more

Instead there are displays of yummy pastries and desserts and if you want something more substantial, there are rice bowls and some small bites. Decor is minimal with a soft pink theme. There are a few items for sale on the merch wall. If my kids were still little I'd get a mommy and kid matching brunch t-shirts. A few tables are available for dining inside, but I ordered my items to go. I picked up some pastries and cookies as well as a pandan latte. I was mesmerized watching the barista crafting my latte, he did such a great job and made a cute heart on top! While everything I got was delish, the honey miso croissant was my favorite! This is probably one of the easiest 5-star review to write. It is quite literally the only coffee/food place I've been to where BOTH options are absolutely top tier. The coffee is artisan, milk is silky, and the espresso is pulled perfectly. The food is so fresh tasting, with amazing Asian flavors for the rice bowls, and doesn't all "mush" together like a lot of cafe food typically suffers from. Lastly, the inside is very homey and clean. I haven't interacted with the staff too much but from what I've witnessed, they are really respectful and kind. A new location for the Take Ur Seat company. It's in a strip mall and just when I thought it wasn't in a good spot, people packed the place while I was there. Glad to have a location so close to home. It's small but cute. They had all the pastries and all the good coffee. I got a Pandan Latte and it never disappoints. They also had a few of their signature foods. I ordered the Ube Mochi Waffles. It was delicious. I ordered a side of bacon which cost $8 for 3 pieces. I really wanted it with the waffles so I got it but it is a steep price for regular bacon. We also got the Belly to Belly bowl. At other locations, it comes with TUS sauce. So we asked for some. They said it was a charge of $1+ so we walked away. Apparently there was a misunderstanding and they made the sauce anyway. They gave it to us and didn't charge. That was nice. I love the Take Ur Seat shops. This one just felt pricier and charged for each thing which changed the normal experience for me. I really want to like this place because we like 'take ur seat' but today we felt rushed despite them being behind. The cashier asked us what we wanted and after every item we listed she would immediately say "Anything else?" "Can I get a hojicha latte?" "Ok anything else?" "I'll take an almond croissant" "Anything else?" "What's in the belly 2 belly?" "It's on here, Here's a menu. Ok anything else?" "Um I'll take a breakfast sandwich" "Anything else?" The whole transaction felt like it was under a minute because of how rushed we felt only for her to say "just so you know we're a little behind so it'll likely take about 20 min." If that's the case then why rush us to order? There was only one person behind us that had just walked in so it wasn't like there was a long line. It was my sister's first time there so she had questions but it seemed like the cashier didn't have time for all that. For example, My sister asked about one of the dishes and instead of explaining what's in it, the cashier immediately handed us a menu and said "it's on here" but we felt like we didn't get enough time to read it because at any second she would say "Anything else?" Other than that, the pastries are rich so definitely something you want to slow down and enjoy, but really tasty and unique. The food itself is good, exactly what you would expect. Belly 2 Belly was good but I would recommend asking for an over easy egg if you're into the loco moco vibe. The Breakfast sandwich was alright. It's just that it's such a cute place that has all these fancy pastries so I didn't expect a breakfast sandwich with plain hamburger buns. It did come with potatoes that were pretty good! But I don't think I would order it again. My sister got an iced cookie butter latte and she liked it, said it wasn't super sweet but a nice subtle cookie butter taste. I had the Hojicha latte which was also good. The drinks definitely had the same taste as Take Ur Seat so I was happy with that.
