i've been CRAAAAAAAVING a coffee shop in Rancho Cucamonga that isn't just sweet sugar milk... like you could bring your pretentious friend here who can taste the country of coffee beans origins by the sip... yet still not be embarrassed fir wanting a unique sweet iced coffee... I've been meaning to try this coffee shop since it was local to my area. Across the street from IN-N-OUT and a few blocks from the Ontario Mills, OnMe Cafe is a small, unique coffee shop offering drinks early as 7 am. Their parking lot is plenty without fighting businesses nearby. I came in a half an hour after 7 am and parked my car right in front of the entrance. I walked in and I was the only other customer besides another lady, who was waiting for her drink. I had difficulty with the menu and was contemplating between two drinks: the cinnamon toast latte or the cookie butter latte. I stuttered a couple of times when ordering, and the cashier helped me choose. He gave me their top drink and why it was popular, which helped solidify my choice. I ended up choosing their cookie butter latte with whole milk. I used my fiancé's reward number to earn points with my purchase. There is noticeable cookie crumbs and bits in the drink. It's milky, yet strong. It's not overly sweet as well. The workers were busy, I would say that. Only one of them was making a drink, and he was busy making the online orders coming in. For being the only customer in there, it took me about 15 minutes to get my drink, which I can understand. I can see myself visiting this location a few times if possible. Crazy thing, I didn't follow them or the worship band that plays there, but they both popped up in my instagram feed for a worship night they were having! So, it worked out perfectly for my youngest and I to go check this place out for a matcha date and to get our worship on! The place was packed, but there wasn't a line to order. Everyone is so nice and helpful! They also sell merch for the store, and the band was selling merch outside. I went with the coconut matcha, which was very refreshing and delicious. I went in as soon as they opened. So the place was super nice and cleaned. I like how every table was well organized and cleaned. The workers were super friendly and helpful explaining the menu. They have flavored ice teas as well. Baked goods consists mainly of various versions of croissants - fat, shiny ones. I tried a little tube- like cake, because I just wanted a small pastry. The cashier told me it was "brown sugar." (Brown sugar what? .... Oh, it's like, cake.) Sounds yum! But alas, it did not taste like the brown sugar in a pineapple upside down cake. I don't know how to describe it. Maybe it was burnt sugar slightly but, meh, not poppin' with the flavor I expected. It was also a chewier cake, ... I really don't know how to explain it. Overall, I like the vibe and the offerings are good. What threw me off and what I'm seeing as a new trend that may end all of my Coffee Travels is this insistence on charging a dollar for an alternate milk. A hefty tax on those with medical or general health reasons for avoiding dairy. (Side note, African Americans have much higher rates of lactose intolerance than other groups). I understand alt milks cost more, but it just feels wrong. I've seen .50, .75 - But $1 more? Jeez! I can't get a break! If you want that gooey, creamy foam (dairy?) top that'll be another $1. Found this cafe on my way to Vegas, I loved how hidden it was with lots of parking. The menu was small but definitely something for everything. The service was quick and friendly, the barista suggested and guided me through the menu. I loved the town sugar shaken espresso, it was so delicious and made perfectly. Im beginning to think that as good as it sounds, cookie butter is one those flavors that is just hard to mimic in a hot drink, and thats okay. There was a very limited taste of coffee , and any sense of flavor was only achieved with a sugar packet. I can't really say if I like the coffee itself because it just wasn't there to an extent to rate. The matcha looked nice, but lacked sweetness. It was intense and a bit over the top, but not bad. Found this cafe through TikTok, and visited today with my bestie! She had the Spanish Latte and I tried the Whipped Honey Ice Coffee, both were so rich and flavorful! There's a decent amount of seating if you want to hang out or get some work done. About six desks plus a couple sofas, so it feels more work-friendly than grab-and-go. Lately I've been on a coffee shop craze, so i always jumped at the opportunity to try a new shop. The shop is about a 8-9 minute drive from my house, most of the drive being stoplights lol... It's located in a very dead looking plaza so parking is great! The shop itself is very minimalist looking and honestly a great spot if you're looking for a quiet shop to get some work done. I got a strawberry matcha, a flat white and a Spanish latte. They were all perfect, the sweetness wasn't overpowering and if you like coffee it's more of the coffee taste, rather than the sugar. The matcha wasn't sweet at all, all i could taste sweetness from was the cloud top. I didn't try their pastries as I'm not much of a pastry person but they were stacked up. I will say it was a bit of a wait, but nothing crazy, they were quick to take our orders and bring out the drinks. I saw this place open up recently on my way home and really wanted to try it out. Always on the look out for new local coffee shops. Decided to go on a Friday afternoon to do some work. The inside looks pretty nice and minimalistic. Seating seems to be good for a cafe and it wasn't too busy. The barista's were nice and offered to join their rewards program. I decided to join just in case I'd like it. I got their signature brown sugar shaken espresso and compared to Starbucks' shaken espresso drink, it's pretty good. I would say it is a good balance between sweetness and coffee. I don't taste too much of the espresso though, which usually is what I look for. Nevertheless, this place does have potential and has an extensive list of coffee and matcha drinks. They also had a Valentine's Day special drink (forgot to take a picture of that). So if you want to try that out, this weekend might be the only chance to try it! I tried their almond croissant and it was definitely in the very buttery side but a little too sweet for my tastebuds. I always find it is a hit and miss the almond croissant. The seating is good, and I only saw one outlet on one side of the seating area. I would say on a busy day it would be hard to find a seat to study if this is where you plan to hunker down to study. They do have free WiFi too! I'm on a mission to try all the local coffee shops in the area. I checked out OnMe Cafe this morning. They're on Milliken Ave, north of the 10 freeway. They're in the same plaza where Valerie Furniture is, right by The Big Catch Seafood. Parking is definitely not an issue here. There's a small table outside that's dog friendly. Upon entering, there's also seating inside and a wall displaying bags of whole coffee beans and hats. I tried their brown sugar espresso shaken (signature drink), a strawberry matcha and a ham croissant. I also got a banana bread for later. Goodness, everything was really good. I don't usually write negative reviews but felt like I had to share this with the owners. Initially, I was so excited to try a new coffee shop in the neighborhood. I decided to have my coffee there and work for an hour or two. Coffee was great, service was great.... Until a distressed young homeless woman walked in to ask for some water. She was in tears. Very shy and timid. The barista rejected her multiple times and suggested to try the gas station. It was disappointing to see a coffee shop with Christian morals and Bible verses hung up on their wall reject the needy. Myself and another married couple caught up with the homeless woman outside. The husband was sweet enough to walk over to the gas station and buy her some water. It's obvious that this shopping plaza is filled with homeless. It's hard to believe that the owners didn't think this would be an issue when opening a coffee shop here. It would be great to see a more empathetic solution for the homeless community. I understand it's not your responsibility as a business, but it should definitely feel like your responsibility as a Christian. After checking multiple options in the area we opted for OnMe because one reviewer specifically said they were knowledgeable about dietary restrictions. The cashier was very friendly but had no clue on what contained gluten. It was a welcoming and cozy environment so 5 stars there. We did not end up ordering anything because I asked if the syrups were gluten free and after the barista went to the back he could only say "it does not specify". Normally, I'd ask to see the label because most people don't know what to look for or where GF can be listed. Since he didn't offer we decided to pass and go somewhere else. My Daughter and I wanted to try a new coffee place to get us geared up for Craftday Sunday. We ordered two brown sugar lattes. I was already wary about it not being sweet enough before I ordered it. The place was very clean. There were a lot of patrons in there so there was nowhere to sit while we waited, but that was OK. My daughter actually liked her coffee. I had to stop and get creamer to put in it at the gas station next-door, which was another disaster because they did not have disposable small creams at their coffee bar so I had to buy a coffee just to get a cream.
