The place was nice enough, but with so many coffee options around, it's hard to choose one that I'm not really impressed by. It's very minimalist inside, but with that - everything looks a little dingy. I'm sure it was polished when it opened though. The workers were...working. Not super friendly, just doing their jobs. I'm not mad at that though, just glad they're not rude. Haha. The honey lavender latte is very lavender-y. What's nice is that it's not overly sweet. My husband got the Spanish latte and he thinks it's mid+. The cup size is smaller than we expected too. Food wise we ordered a kouign amann (I can't pass one up when I see one) and a ham and cheese croissant. Haven't tried them yet, so I'll report back.

This place is busy busy! Despite the long line, they work fast and trust me the quality is very much there. I ordered a flat white (wasn't in the mood for anything sweet but needed a caffeine hit) and it was perfectly smooth. My hubs got the coconut matcha and loved how coconut-ty it was and not too sweet. Hit this place up next time you're craving coffee or matcha!

First timer! The line was LONG! They don't have much room indoors so if the line is too long; you'll have to wait outside (sometimes in the heat). The drinks were yummy! The mocha latte was sooooo chocolately. The Spanish latte was fire! We didn't try any pastries but they sure did look yummy. Worth the wait.

topped by Nook Coffee Shop on a rainy day and was surprised to see 8-9 people in line, plus a few waiting for drinks -- always a good sign! Despite the crowd, service was quick and efficient. It's more of a grab-and-go spot, but after tasting the drinks, the short wait was totally worth it. We ordered the Mexican chai latte, Spanish latte, and honey lavender latte. I got my Spanish latte half sweet and it was perfectly balanced -- still plenty sweet without being overpowering. All the drinks were flavorful and well made. The kouign-amann was a standout too -- crisp and caramelized outside, soft inside, and just the right sweetness. Overall, really solid coffee and pastries!

Nice staff. Not overly friendly like Dutch Bros or Starbucks. Good or should I say great coffee must be like good wine. $6.50 for a 10oz (the only size available) was good but to be honest was no better than the more popular places in my opinion. I was the oldest person in line which tells me it's a thing now. Small is hip and y'all want to be part of the hip group so you stand in line and get your shot glass of coffee and say you're apart of it all. I was expecting more but that's me. I'm sure the coffee experts taste something my pallet isn't hip to. Well I tried it and that's the first and last time for me

This is a really good grab and go spot. If you are looking for a place to work or meet up with someone this may not be your spot. There is not a lot of seating and it's very uncomfortable. But the coffee and pastries are really good. Just wish they had more food items. Also, all the staff are very friendly. Coffee 5 Food 3 Design 3.5 Comfort 3 Vibe 4.5 Service 5

Drinks came out great! Coastline was definitely the best of the two. Love that they have a selection of dairy alternatives. The line wasn't long but it did take quite a bit to get an order in than it should've. Each guest in front of us was ordering a tray if not more of drinks and they were taking and making orders almost one by one. Great drinks but definitely a slower paced shop.

Always love my matcha from nook. I come from Santa Monica and I always order my mom and I a Lavender Matcha with Almond Milk extra sweet and take it to her when I visit the inland empire. Everyone is always so friendly during my visit. Even though you have to wait outside sometimes they are very swift.

I had a friend who kept raving about this spot, so I had to try it for myself while I was in town. My husband and I went on a Sunday morning, and there was a line out the door--which immediately gave us the impression that it had to be good. The wait wasn't long at all, and it was absolutely worth it. We placed a pretty large order for ourselves and our friends. My husband ordered the Spanish latte, which was delicious and reminded me of Tierra Mia Café. I had the iced hazelnut latte with oat milk, and it was good as well--smooth and flavorful. I also loved how modern and cute the café looked inside. I would definitely come back again and recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

    Hojicha and matcha latte
    Tiffany Y.

I tried Nook since I was in the area and I would personally not recommend. We ordered the matcha latte 50% sweetness and hojicha latte 30% sweetness. The matcha latte had little to no matcha flavor and was overwhelmed by the milk. The hojicha latte felt grainy/gritty and not a smooth hojicha/milk blend. Next time, I would try the coffee instead. Despite the drinks, service is fast and the people are all very nice. The interior is aesthetic as well, but the seating is not particularly comfortable if you want to do some work here.

My boyfriend and I decided to come on a whim! The coffee bar is located on a corner and can be easily spotted. There are multiple shops and restaurants in the area. The coffee bar looks modern, inside and out. There were outdoor tables outside. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there were no customers. There are alot of contemporary pieces such a wooden bar and seating. We ordered the vanilla latte and the island matcha, which the barista said was their popular drinks. She was nice and helpful. I noticed their pastry shelf was completely empty. We didn't wait long for our order, they were fully staffed. Soon after, more people started coming in. The barista called out our order. The vanilla latte foam was a heart, which I thought was cute. The Island matcha is very unique and I can definitely taste the combination of coconut and macaroni syrup. So nice!

Matcha Latte and Ham & Cheese Croissant
    Sophia M.

Loved the Matcha Latte and Ham & Cheese Croissant! The drink was not too sweet or too earthy and the pastry was warm and crispy. Service was efficient and the place is very beloved and popular. The shop is small so make sure to come early or at a not so busy time so you don't have to wait in line outside!

I visited Nook for the first time on a Saturday around 11am and was surprised to see a line out the door! We waited about 20 minutes. I appreciated that they provided umbrellas for shade since it was a hot day when we visited. The space inside is small with few seating options. I ordered an iced matcha latte and it was delicious! My sister ordered the lavender matcha and loved it too. If you are a matcha fan, this place is a must-try!

One thing that really stood out to me was that they even have a prayer room, which is something you do not usually see at cafes and made the place feel very thoughtful and welcoming. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the drinks were honestly one of the most unique cafe menus I've tried in a while. The coffee tasted so good, and there were many interesting drinks I had never seen before. You can tell they put effort into creating something different instead of serving the usual basic cafe menu. Definitely a place I would come back to again. I also just found out they have a location in my hometown, Chicago, so now I'm excited to try that one too.

For instance, there were groups that came after me who rushed for the table and didn't even order for a long time. Even when we pointed it out, the restaurant didn't care. Honestly if they waited, the folks who came first would have been done with their food by the time their food comes out. Total chaos. Also they ask their guests to put away their own food. The guests before us didn't so I had to clean up the table myself. My cousin has a health issue where the outdoor heat isn't good for her so I had to be a vulture with these tables. Sigh. And in general I know she prefers the cuteness of the indoors. I wanted to get the Take Ur Seat Salad, but they would only add chicken to it when I wanted a different protein. Honestly I'm not sure what's so hard about throwing on a different protein. But they let me do the rice bowl and substitute the rice with salad... Honestly isn't it easier to let me do the salad and add protein? So my cousin and I both got the Rice Bowl ($15.95) with the Longanisa. My cousin had hers normal with the rice and I had the salad substitute. For those unfamiliar longanisa is a sweet and savory sausage. The food tasted decent but the portion is really small for the pricing. There was barely any egg. Not a very satisfying meal. The experience isn't enjoyable enough for me to come back and I feel like the portions are small. It might be a good spot to pick up coffee for the road, but not a sit down brunch.
