My girlfriend and I stopped by after lunch one day to give this place a shot. We got the strawberry creamio and grape creamio. I usually get 50% sweetness but we opted for 60% for both of our drinks this time. Surprisingly, the drinks both tasted unsweet, almost like it was watered down. They weren't anything special. From what I've seen on other reviews, some of their drinks run on the less sweet side which coincides with our experience. I'm not a fan of this place. I had seen it going viral online, so I stopped by to see what the hype is all about. Upon coming in, there was a family a head of us and a customer after us. That was it. What I thought would be a quick boba stop, became something longer. It took about 20-25 minutes for my drink to come out. We sat on their chairs that were facing out the window. I had chosen a fruity blend of a green tea. When my drink came out, I expected some sweetness, but felt that it was lacking. Even if real fruits were being used, shouldn't it be a tad bit sweeter? It tasted like water. I saw an orange slice and what seemed like grapefruit bits, but even then, it was not a good drink. There was hardly any boba and the boba was inconsistent and tasteless. The drinks are just okay to me. The matcha milk tea could be more fragrant. I did not taste any tea flavor in the Jasmine milk tea but more like watered down milk. Been coming here for over a year now, but have had issues for the last month or so. I swung by a week ago, walked into the store, was set to pay at the kiosk and was told that they're closed. I checked my watch, and it was 8:33 PM. I asked the guy how? I just called from the parking lot of the store and was told 9:00 PM on the phone. He said that he didn't know, but they close at 9. Another visit, a young lady turned me away at 8:40 and told me they close at 9. One other visit I was asked to leave when I walked in the door because the young lady said she wants to go home (also before 8:40 / well before closing). When the other lady who is probably in her late thirties working, everything is great, she's friendly and appears happy that customers are coming by. I hope the business owner or manager can get a handle on the hours or just change the times so that this doesn't continue. read more

It's a simple shop with a few tables that have games on them for play while you're enjoying your drinks. That's a nice addition! There is one self-ordering kiosk or you may order at the counter. The nice young lady took my order. I got 3 drinks with 100% sweetness and no ice for me and my daughters. For the most part, I enjoyed the Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea... tea flavor was good, egg pudding was smooth, but I wished it was a little bit sweeter. My daughters liked their drinks. There's a ton of construction going on in the area so hopefully when it's completed the whole area will look better. We're so glad we found this place, the drinks are made fresh, so it did take longer than usual to receive our order, but it didn't matter because the drinks were really top-tier. The super fruit tea was extremely delicious to the point where I would definitely go back just for that drink alone. My daughter and I both have mixed reviews on the Matcha because she tends to like it a bit more Matcha flavored or these were more flavored around the strawberry or brown sugar. Don't get me wrong -- I love the trendy places too, but there's something about this place that feels and tastes like the mom and pop boba shop places of my childhood. This place is OK. Just double-check your order before you leave. I ordered a strawberry matcha latte, and when I got home, I noticed there were no strawberries. When I looked closely, it seemed like they put one tiny spoonful of strawberries at the bottom. You can't even see the strawberries unless you lift up the cup to look at the bottom to see the small portion of strawberries. I had to go all the way back to the location from my house, and they weren't sorry -- they just took back the old drink and remade a new one. It just sucks wasting time driving all the way back to the location and paying almost eight dollars for this drink. Just make sure you double-check your order before you leave. The only convenient thing is that when you come in, you order on the computer yourself. read more

Upon walking in, I noticed they had a cute seating area to the right & on the left, there was one of two self order kiosk as well as seats to wait for your drink. I ordered at the second kiosk, which was located on the counter area. They have a lot of selections to choose from. I ordered a roasted oolong milk tea with Boba & a jasmine green milk tea with coffee jelly. I got my order. One thing I noticed when I picked up my drinks was that they did not have any sort of sticker with my drink order or even writing down the drink order on the cup before making the order (like most boba / drink places do). She wrote it on a little posted and just stuck it onto the drink. As I was drinking the oolong milk tea with Boba I noticed something other than the Boba. It turned out to be roasted brown rice, probably from the roasted tea. I think it might be an off taste for someone who is not used to drinking the roasted rice. I have tasted roasted rice in tea before, but this was kind of an off taste for me to have with the Boba because it is not something you don't normally get. And IMO, the boba was chewy for my liking. This was my first visit here since it changed from Koio to Jojo tea shop. It is nicely decorated and very clean with a few tables and benches. When I entered nobody came to the front, so I ordered at the Kiosk. I got the Thai milk tea with whipped cream and boba for $8.64 which is kinda expensive for the size, but the drink tasted good and the boba texture was also good. Only after paying I noticed that a tip had been added to my order without my agreement as some other reviewers mentioned. The tip amount added, was small, but the problem is, that there was no prompt that asked, if I wanted to tip, change the amount or any note on the kiosk itself that tells you that it is added automatically. Not to mention the fact that there was no extra service etc, since I had to place the order myself at the kiosk. read more

JoJo has great drinks when they're actually accepting orders... We usually arrive between 8:30 and 8:45pm and they close at 9pm. When the young man is working, he stops us and tells us we can't order because they're closed despite it being well before their closing time, the front door wide open, and "Open" sign lit. I even call to confirm their closing time and he tells me 9pm over the phone. This has happened every time we go in when he is working. When the young girl is working, she can be heard in the back room groaning and complaining very loudly with every order that comes through. Whining that she "just wants to go home" and "no more orders". It is very awkward. We end up going elsewhere if we get turned away, giving other boba shops our business. We've tried to give this place a chance, but it's hard when we can't even place our orders or are made to feel like we are a nuisance for placing an order well before closing time. read more

The only word I can think of when it comes to this place is mid. I'm sorry but I got the jasmine milk tea with boba and it was just not worth it. The tea was not strong or flavorful; the drink just tasted like milk. It tasted watered down and the boba was so bland. The texture was not near the bounce and chew I expect from good boba. In terms of location, the shop is located in the corner of a questionable plaza and walking inside, you're hit with this pungent, unpleasant odor that smells like curdled milk. I was expecting a lot better, especially with the reviews i've seen here and through social media but I am severely disappointed. I will say that the lady working seemed nice. The color of the drinks look good but don't let appearances fool you. I would spend my money elsewhere. read more

Small little drink shop that was located in a strip mall. The place definitely has an interesting menu. The person helping me who I assume was the owner was very friendly. I got the cheese strawberry slush, which was basically like a refreshing strawberry shake. I'm hoping it's less calories and less fat too lol. But I have to say that beverage was really, really tasty. Definitely a great spot for these dessert drinks as well as your regular tea type drinks. I discovered this shop from an Instagram reel and immediately had high hopes that I found a good tea shop in Rancho finally. We went today and ordered two Thai Milk Teas with brown sugar boba. When ordering from the tablets, it asks you what percentage of sweet you would like and I selected 100% sweet for both. It did not taste sweet at all, it tasted what I would think it would be if I selected 0-30% sweet. And the brown sugar boba was also not sweet at all and had no flavor. I couldn't ask anyone if the drinks were made wrong or not since no one is in the front and we had to get going unfortunately. I was super disappointed and couldn't drink it but I know this place is really loved so I will be giving it another chance soon and will update my review then. read more
