Stopped by here after an interview (and my mom had been shopping in the mall) because the weather called for refreshments. Solid choice!! My mom had the honey hazelnut latte and I chose the tiramisu latte. We were a little surprised at first because our drinks came in paper cups so we worried we had ordered wrong, but they were iced haha! Even better that the cafe is environmentally-conscious and sustainable! So sad I didn't catch her name but the employee who helped us was soooo sweet! She was all smiles, and even told me as she handed it to me to let her know if I wanted her to adjust or remake it (I told her I'm sure it's perfect, and when I tried, it was!) This place was busy!! It was my first time there and I had no idea it was even a chain/franchise. With it being my first time, the barista gave me a few recommendations, I cannot remember exactly what I got, but I do remember it being delicious! I wore noise canceling headphones because I had work to do, but in general it's a busy coffee shop but nothing too crazy loud, just normal hustle and bustle. I got the iced mint mojito at Phillz Coffee and honestly it's become one of go to orders whenever I'm in the area. Real mint leaves floating on top, cool and herbal with just enough sweetness, nothing syrupy about it. You can tell someone actually thought about the recipe. What I liked about the space itself: people on laptops, a couple with books, a few just talking over their drinks. Nobody felt cramped, nobody felt like they were being watched to leave. Good spot whether you're trying to knock out work or just catch up with someone. Also have to shout out the guy who took my order. I asked a couple questions about the drink and he actually knew what he was talking about instead of giving me the standard "oh it's popular" line. I remember trying Philz Coffee about 10 years ago when I visited San Francisco, and it definitely left an impression. Now that it's finally near home, I had to check it out again. Solid coffee and breakfast options at all locations. I enjoyed the new tiramisu iced coffee, with subbed medium sugar and oat milk, with the reduction it was still pretty sweet and creamy. They have a nice variety of breakfast options. I was surprised to find the vegan breakfast sandwich was tastier than the turkey sausage sando. I was not disappointed yet also not a fan of the pepper jack cheese but that's a personal preference. I wish they had an option to substitute to cheddar on the app since we ordered ahead. Talking about the app, it's very user friendly, and Wendy had our order ready in just minutes. Very convenient! We were lucky to find parking out front since we stopped by pretty early and it was raining, but I can imagine that the parking may be a bit tough during busier times. I love the colorful mural around the shop. The branch here has relaxing and welcoming vibes. The shop is spacious and has both indoor and outdoor seating. They have fresh baked goodies same as other branches. Although the shop was busy, we got our drinks very fast. The service was very convenient. The baristas were nice and friendly. I ordered my favorite Winter Bliss Cold Brew. It is seasonal and I wish it could be in their regular menu. We checked out Philz one afternoon and they were busy, so service was kinda slow, but the lady who helped us was very friendly. The shop was clean and they have a fairly large menu with plenty to choose from. We got an iced gingersnap coffee, iced mocha tesora and two almond croissants for a total of $24.35 The drinks were heavy on the ice and we would have preferred the coffee to be stronger. Today, 7/18 at approximately 3:37 p.m., I visited Philz Coffee and found the line out the door with only two employees working. While waiting, I asked one of the employees if additional help or a manager was available. She apologized and said she wasn't sure where the manager or supervisor was but thought they might return in a few minutes. I stayed for a while after receiving my drink and noticed no one else came to assist. The two employees were left to manage the long line and customers on their own. They both appeared overworked but remained professional and did their best. Philz is always solid. I either get their Iced Mint Mojito (sweet and creamy) or their cold brew. Most of the time cold brews aren't the best but I drink it just because I don't want milk and sweeteners. This Victoria Gardens location has consistently failed, and at this point it's not a fluke -- it's the standard here. I've tried this store several times over months, and the service is always poor. Claremont proves Philz CAN deliver GREAT service, so WHATEVER is happening at Victoria Gardens is specific to this team. Every time without fail when I walk in, there is no greeting at all. No "welcome," no acknowledgment, nothing. Today, two employees were sitting and clearly saw me, yet said nothing -- but they greeted the woman who walked in behind me and again as she left. The selective acknowledgment is noticeable and uncomfortable. My drink was marked "ready" at 8:10 on the app, but it wasn't even started. The person listed as having "finished" it didn't make it. Another employee eventually did, but she was so wrapped up in conversation with a guy at the counter that my "ready" drink wasn't actually done until 8:15. Then the younger employee with glasses acted annoyed that I even approached the counter. She mumbled "Who are you waiting for," and when I gave my name, she looked around then said "We're working on it," even though they clearly weren't. They went right back to laughing and talking with each other. As I was leaving, they greeted another customer -- again proving they simply CHOOSE who to acknowledge. This location is consistently unprofessional, inattentive, and dismissive. For $8 a cup, this is not the Philz experience anyone should expect. I'll continue going out of my way to Claremont, because at least they understand basic customer service. At this point, it may be time to reach out to corporate, because this store does not represent the Philz brand that I'm accustomed to. read more

The two girls working tonight around 6:30 were very pleasant. The cashier told me what she did and didn't like on the menu and recommended I change the sweetness on my drink. The barista who made my drink also let me know her favorite to try next time and informed me that I could even mix two different roasts. FINALLY! A Philz that's closer to home and at such a great location! I became obsessed with the Philtered Soul after running some work errands in the OC and stopped by the Fullerton location. Was so sad there weren't any locations near me until recently. Philz in Victoria Gardens is such a great addition. I've ordered a couple times at this location, usually to go on my mobile app. The inside from what I've seen though is decently sized, but they get pretty busy so I recommend ordering on the app, especially if you want more time to order. Inside is clean though and the staff is very friendly. I've never tried any food items here, but always get their coffee and it doesn't dissapoint. read more

This is for mobile pickup. Placed an order online said it would be ready by 10:05am. I get there at 9:55 am no one greeted me no one acknowledged I was there. I walk up to the mobile pickup and again no acknowledgment my drink wasn't there yet so I walked back to the waiting area. Kept seeing ppl order and get their drinks while I had been waiting for some time now. I was just confused I ordered two iced coffees so not complicated at all. Finally I go up again and I see my order there. I said oh here it is loud enough for the employees to hear me, I said well they didn't even call out my name again so they heard me. Pretty cool to have a Philz in Rancho Cucamonga now. I hadn't had their coffee in well over a couple of years. It's a cute, trendy little shop with a good cup of coffee. I decided to stop here and check this place out this morning before work. Their mobile app is actually really user-friendly and cutting edge! I submitted my order and it gave me an approximate completion time with my confirmation. Much to my surprise, it also updated me with the name and photo of the staff member that was completing my order along with a countdown for when the order would be ready. Too cool! The place was pretty quiet when I got there, several people dining in and waiting for their orders. I went to the mobile pick up area and saw my order sitting there waiting for me. I saw Marlena there and thanked her for my order--I also told her I saw her on the app! Today I tried the Honey Haze and it was amazing. Very smooth and delicious, and it woke me up! I also opted to try their bacon and egg burrito. While the burrito was yummy, I didn't really feel like there was much filling, unfortunately.
