I remember trying Philz Coffee about 10 years ago when I visited San Francisco, and it definitely left an impression. Now that it's finally near home, I had to check it out again. First thing I ordered was their famous Mint Mojito coffee, and it still hits. It's different in the best way. Creamy, minty, and just the right amount of sweetness. Not your typical coffee, but that's exactly why it stands out. I haven't tried anything else on the menu yet, but if this drink is any indication, I'll definitely be back to explore more. read more

This Victoria Gardens location has consistently failed, and at this point it's not a fluke -- it's the standard here. I've tried this store several times over months, and the service is always poor. Claremont proves Philz CAN deliver GREAT service, so WHATEVER is happening at Victoria Gardens is specific to this team. Every time without fail when I walk in, there is no greeting at all. No "welcome," no acknowledgment, nothing. Today, two employees were sitting and clearly saw me, yet said nothing -- but they greeted the woman who walked in behind me and again as she left. The selective acknowledgment is noticeable and uncomfortable. My drink was marked "ready" at 8:10 on the app, but it wasn't even started. The person listed as having "finished" it didn't make it. Another employee eventually did, but she was so wrapped up in conversation with a guy at the counter that my "ready" drink wasn't actually done until 8:15. Then the younger employee with glasses acted annoyed that I even approached the counter. She mumbled "Who are you waiting for," and when I gave my name, she looked around then said "We're working on it," even though they clearly weren't. They went right back to laughing and talking with each other. As I was leaving, they greeted another customer -- again proving they simply CHOOSE who to acknowledge. This location is consistently unprofessional, inattentive, and dismissive. For $8 a cup, this is not the Philz experience anyone should expect. I'll continue going out of my way to Claremont, because at least they understand basic customer service. At this point, it may be time to reach out to corporate, because this store does not represent the Philz brand that I'm accustomed to. read more

I love this place! First time I had it was in Berkeley, California almost 10 years ago. I had the mint Mojito and it was so creamy. Fast-forward seven years later, I took my husband on a trip to San Francisco, where I got to introduce him to the wonderful world of Philz coffee. Solid coffee and breakfast options at all locations. I enjoyed the new tiramisu iced coffee, with subbed medium sugar and oat milk, with the reduction it was still pretty sweet and creamy. They have a nice variety of breakfast options. I was surprised to find the vegan breakfast sandwich was tastier than the turkey sausage sando. I was not disappointed yet also not a fan of the pepper jack cheese but that's a personal preference. I wish they had an option to substitute to cheddar on the app since we ordered ahead. Talking about the app, it's very user friendly, and Wendy had our order ready in just minutes. Very convenient! We were lucky to find parking out front since we stopped by pretty early and it was raining, but I can imagine that the parking may be a bit tough during busier times. Philz is my FAVORITE go-to Coffee Shop. I am a Philz- Fan wherever I go. I was at Victoria Gardens and of course! I stopped by! I cannot resist Philz coffee. I love the colorful mural around the shop. The branch here has relaxing and welcoming vibes. The shop is spacious and has both indoor and outdoor seating. They have fresh baked goodies same as other branches. Although the shop was busy, we got our drinks very fast. The service was very convenient. The baristas were nice and friendly. I ordered my favorite Winter Bliss Cold Brew. It is seasonal and I wish it could be in their regular menu. A very serene, quiet Monday morning (8am-9am). I would have enjoyed to get some studying done here, had I brought my laptop. Ambience was definitely up there. We checked out Philz one afternoon and they were busy, so service was kinda slow, but the lady who helped us was very friendly. The shop was clean and they have a fairly large menu with plenty to choose from. We got an iced gingersnap coffee, iced mocha tesora and two almond croissants for a total of $24.35 The drinks were heavy on the ice and we would have preferred the coffee to be stronger. FINALLY! A Philz that's closer to home and at such a great location! I became obsessed with the Philtered Soul after running some work errands in the OC and stopped by the Fullerton location. Was so sad there weren't any locations near me until recently. Philz in Victoria Gardens is such a great addition. I've ordered a couple times at this location, usually to go on my mobile app. The inside from what I've seen though is decently sized, but they get pretty busy so I recommend ordering on the app, especially if you want more time to order. Inside is clean though and the staff is very friendly. I've never tried any food items here, but always get their coffee and it doesn't dissapoint. read more

Pretty cool to have a Philz in Rancho Cucamonga now. I hadn't had their coffee in well over a couple of years. It's a cute, trendy little shop with a good cup of coffee. I decided to stop here and check this place out this morning before work. Their mobile app is actually really user-friendly and cutting edge! I submitted my order and it gave me an approximate completion time with my confirmation. Much to my surprise, it also updated me with the name and photo of the staff member that was completing my order along with a countdown for when the order would be ready. Too cool! The place was pretty quiet when I got there, several people dining in and waiting for their orders. I went to the mobile pick up area and saw my order sitting there waiting for me. I saw Marlena there and thanked her for my order--I also told her I saw her on the app! Today I tried the Honey Haze and it was amazing. Very smooth and delicious, and it woke me up! I also opted to try their bacon and egg burrito. While the burrito was yummy, I didn't really feel like there was much filling, unfortunately. The taste was there, but I don't want to just taste bacon...I actually want to eat bacon LOL! Sadly, it seemed to be mostly tortilla and potato. I did appreciate the cholula hot sauce packets. The wait is over! Philz is now open. What a great time to introduce the famous Philz right during the autumn season! I've been seeing reviews and always wanted to give it a taste. Now I see why everyone loves it! These pour overs are perfect for the coffee lover. Customized to your sweetness & creaminess levels. I like to try coffee at new establishments just straight up, good old fashioned black. I want to see what is hidden under all the foam and sprinkles. Philz is perfect! A smooth, nutty boldness that I love in my coffee. The honey haze was also one that has been on my list and finally was able to check off. I was suckling at my cup.. so good. Visiting with a few friends we felt right at home and were fully satisfied with the awesome service and quality. Also accommodating with non caffeinated drink options. Located right next to the food hall on Mainstreet in Victoria gardens. There's also an adjoining door to step right through to the food hall with plenty of extra seating when all the spots are taken. Nice long community tables with outlets to give your electronics their caffeine fix as well. Several intimate seating areas to enjoy your cup of deliciousness. Merch and coffee bags available for purchase. I loved the sun room sort of industrial green house feel. The best part besides the coffee was the service! All the staff here were perfect picks for this team. With a line out the door every staff had a smile and engaged with every customer. Enhanced the experience from good to outstanding. Philz Coffee (PC) is the new coffee buzz in town. This one is located at Victoria Gardens (VG) in Rancho Cucamonga. They just barely opened about one month ago. They are conveniently located right next door to the food hall. They had a welcoming party prior to their grand opening that I couldn't join, but some of my Yelpie friends did and they had a blast. Since I was in VG, I wanted to offer my patronage and support to PC. I thought they would be open until late on a Sunday. Unfortunately, upon entry at about 10 mins after 6:00 PM, I was informed they were closed. Yes, there were still people inside the coffee shop waiting for their drinks. Anyway, after speaking with their super friendly team lead, she was kind to offer me a complimentary pastry for the inconvenience. I got their chocolate crossiant... it was delish! Thank you Miss for your generosity! They only had a couple baristas working at the time. Their line of orders were about 30 mins behind. I couldn't get their hot or cold brew in a cup that day. However, they do sell cold brew in a bottle for $13.50. So I got one of them bottles. They only had Mission Cold Brew left for the day. If not, I could have gotten their Philtered Soul (I'll try this one next time). The bottle is huge! Just add your favorite creamer and ice if you choose and you'll be set. That's what I did and it tasted really rich, smooth, and malty just as advertised. Funny, I am not a coffee drinker. So why am I here you ask? LOL Well, I thought maybe they serve frozen frappes (I do love these), but they don't. Maybe I'll come around and become a social coffee drinker should I get hooked on Philz Coffee LOL. 10/1/24 Excitedly met up with my best Yelp buddies here at the soft grand opening of Philz at Victoria Gardens. Check in was easy, my name was crossed off their list at the front door & w/in minutes, I was inside at another line to order my complimentary beverage & pastry. My friends arrived & were totally psyched that we all got the same time slot to attend this event. This Philz is in Victoria Gardens & it's surprisingly my first time here. . Spectacular! It's within 20 minutes from home & so many other cool places to walk around, browse. I have got to return to check out other shops. The vibe here is chill, a few chairs & tables provided a venue to chill & enjoy your treats. My order was taken by "Yoanna", awesome young lady, very friendly & amiable. I ordered the Iced Gingersnap with cinnamon nutmeg & clove spices-that was delicious (you may ask for alternative sweeteners, got stevia & adjust the sweetness level). Sadly they already ran out of the pastries but option was different flavors of burritos, got green chili-- it's great coz I haven't had breakfast yet and it's already noontime. It took some time to get our beverages & burritos but it was a packed house! Chatting with Fellow best Yelpies mitigated that wait time. Staff were very helpful, energetic & it's an all around positive vibe at Philz. Loved every moment. I always love to be a part of something new. A shout out to my friend Leilani for sending our group of four a link to sign up for this free event through Eventbrite for yesterday! I know events like this can be complete chaos as many people were here. Our group was time slotted for noon to 1230 pm. Even though we had spots, others were still coming in that didn't have slots as I had asked the two girls ahead of me. Several new employees were here, many new customers, and the vibe of the new place was all good. The persons at the front entrance seemed to not be letting so many people in to make sure the place was not too packed. All the employees were busy but so very nice. Alexis made my drink and she even made sure I tested my drink and asked if it was to my liking. I had the Honey Haze cold brew. It had a light sweet taste of honey and oatmilk. On a nice hot day was a great drink. In lieu of running out of pastries before noon, I was able to order a breakfast bacon burrito! This was also yummy and I like that they give you Cholula as the hot sauce! Overall, this was a fun, exciting, and best part free pre-opening experience. This up and coming restaurant will do well especially in the Victoria Gardens location. My husband can't have regular coffee, and the baristas were very helpful with helping him find a decaf option he would enjoy. The drinks came out within 5 minutes and they were so good! I tried the mint mojito and my husband had a decaf ginger snap. Let me tell you, we were super impressed! These were both delicious and the flavors were well balanced. I've never heard of Philz Coffee until I saw one today at Victoria Gardens. Decided to go in blind. First impression was great! the ambiance and decor are very cohesive, relaxed, no pressure and the employees were incredibly kind especially after mentioning it was my first time here. I quickly realized however that this is NOT a place you come to for sugary milked down drinks. This place specializes in coffee blends and their notes such as chocolate, and cherry coffee notes.. I ordered a Honey Haze. I asked for it sweet and creamy. It was really good however i definitely prefer much creamier, decadent drinks. This one was delicious but I found it to be more refreshing than indulgent. I think I would try this place again if I'm in area. I found some thrills at my local Philz! A sweet place to chill if you need time to kill. Baristas have the skills with drinks to get you over that hill! My first experience was up in Da Bay and I can honestly say I just couldn't wait for them to come my way. I ordered their Gingersnap and this put me in a festive mood! With cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkled with a little clove spice you know this drink was nice! It so reminded me of the holidays which are just around the corner. The space is pretty big with plenty of seating. No mug service but if you bring your own mug they will give you a discount plus a little latte art maybe? I was i knew what the drink i order is called, the cashier let me know their popular drinks & what are in them. She let me know of an off menu drink item and forgot the name but it tastes like cinnamon hazelnut, and a bit chocolatey. Drink was very good and smooth, perfect balance of coffee and sweet. I sat by the windows and the harsh sun made it hard to study. It would be nice if they put up some blinds against the windows for during the day. Bottom line: not worth the hassle of being in a mall for the slightly bitter than Starbucks coffee. They are routinely out of things they need for certain speciality drinks, especially their seasonal drinks, and there are way too many campers here taking up tables all day. To order, it always takes forever even if there are only a couple people ahead of you and part of it is that the person taking orders is also manning like 5 different iPads for all the bs order services, and they will regularly make you wait for minutes at a time to deal with the lazy people using door dash instead of taking my order when I've come in person to get my coffee.
