Adonis, Sodany & Ashley were a warm welcoming family who pour their heart and souls into their masterpiece recipes. They came around to each guest checking in on them after their meal. So welcoming and friendly, good hearted people. The 16 hour smoked brisket has that perfect smoke ring with nice bark seasoning. Lemongrass beef skewers are a MUST! Whatever else you order add a skewer or three. The pulled pork was tender shreds of beautifully smoked meat. In the words of Jen the sides are perfect to balance all the richness. Pickled papaya & carrot salad with Cambodian style fried rice which has an unexpected delightful coconut cream to add another component twist to the dish. Everything we tried was awesome! By the end of the night they were sold out! I would definitely luv to try more of their menu whenever they're in town. Tap to pay available. Fun fact: Adonis started smoking meats at home and his son said dad you could sell this. Adonis tried it out and the business began to grow. Now he has been able to run this awesome pop up traveling to the people sharing his passion with every bite.

Next is the ownership and hospitality, they accept phone orders and are always so welcoming to their Customers :) Everything is made fresh so expect to wait a little but it wont take that long. Lastly I want to shoutout the business name and how it actually ties to their menu (which is super easy btw). They have a wide variety of sauces, all are super good you cant go wrong and if you ever want to sample one theyll let you try them so you get what you want. Also sidenote they give out free miso soup when you get a plate which is nice for the stomach after a nice big meal. Keep it up guys, please dont franchise lol!!!

Overall, my chicken katsu is a bit dry, that's why I take out one point. Size of dish is good. As for dipping sauces, I feel there are rooms to improve.

But today I wanted something a little different and found this place. In addition to the big honking pieces of perfectly breaded chicken, they had some delicious red beans and rice on the side as well. The fries were okay--seasoned pretty well and not super thick or thin--and the cornbread was pretty decent as well. But the real draw is that unbelievable chicken. I was a lot disappointed that they didn't have fountain drinks despite having a machine. It doesn't feel like a satisfying meal unless I have access to adequate soda or juice. Part of me believes that more and more restaurants disconnect their fountain drinks to stick it to you with cans and bottles of soda each time you get thirsty while eating. And this pretty much guarantees this will never become a regular spot because it's irritating to be super thirsty but not wanting to haul your ass to the register to purchase another semi-cold van of soda. The service was okay, if a little sparse. My server only checked on me two times--once to drop off the food and to check on me when I looked obviously about to pass out from dehydration. The space is nice too with a lot of booths for my liking. Like some mom-and-pop places there was a lone fly buzzing while I was trying to eat dinner but that could be an aberration. It was also hinky that I was the only customer dining in. I was starting to think the food wouldn't be all that spectacular or mentionable. But I was glad to be mistaken. Maybe if they ever fix the fountain drinks I'd come back. But without that it's just no kosher to be constantly of thirst and have to pay for 3 or 4 cans of soda to satiate it. It's not worth it.

We got there when they first opened and they were ready to serve immediately. Other places often are running behind and less organized. The staff is awesome (family owned and local) and their set up is immaculate. The food is amazing! We had their "Texas Twinkies" and they were bomb. Perfectly smoked and so yummy. The brisket was so tender and juicy and seasoned with their signature spice blend that is available to purchase. To me the star of the show was their brisket Mac and cheese!
