My first visit wasn't memorable but after a couple of fellow coffee peeps suggested I give it another try, well why not. I will say I shouldn't have let one bad apple have me judge the place and after my second and third visit it was well worth the risk. Drinks are good and the atmosphere super chill. I ordered their refreshers as well as the coffee standards like the lattes and espresso shots. All was well and they have dine in service that makes the experience better. That's just my personal preference. Seasonal drinks are in effect so be on the lookout! And that's my take on it, Peace out...

It's a quaint spot, with the right touch of simple. And, never have I had a more elegantly flavored, aesthetically pleasing latte. I ordered the lavender latte. The floral note was superb. It did not overwhelm the coffee and enhanced the delicate sweetness. Excellent job. Now that's how you do a lavender latte.

Lontra Coffee had a reel on Instagram advertising their Grand Opening for August 8th! So, of course, we attend their grand opening which lasted about 3 hours. We were only inside for about 20 minutes due to the immersive amount of people inside. Parking is available from on the street or in the parking lot located behind the cafe. We walked around the block, and found the shop's sign outside. Once we went inside, we found the line snaked around the shop, towards the back. Before standing in line, we had taken free Photo Booth photos (normally $7) , as part of their grand opening. We stood in line, and it didn't take long to get towards the front. At the front, their cashier pleasantly greeted us. We ordered a mango sticky latte and a Yuzu Thai Basil tonic. With our drinks, per the cashier's recommendation, we also ordered a chorizo meat pie. We stood toward the back end again, waiting for our drinks. The drinks came out and we went back to the photo booth to take photos with our drinks! We left shortly, due to the amount of people and lack of air flow. They had a great turn out for grand opening day, though! My Mango Sticky Latte was sadly full of coconut and not much mango. It was extremely subtle. My fiancé's tonic was a great mix of yuzu and Thai basil. The coffee was decent and you could taste it, although the caffeine intake wasn't intensive. Our meat pie was just okay; it wasn't super special. I think they did quite well for the overwhelming amount of people today. I think this coffee place does beat the nearby ones. If I were to be in the Upland, Montclair, Ontario vicinity, I'd probably bookmark this spot as a place I'd frequent for decent lattes. I can't wait to visit again, when their customer lines settle down a bit!

I Drove by this coffee shop in downtown Upland on my way to brunch with friends. It was formerly Lucky's Coffee Roasters, so I was surprised to see a new name and, of course, had to stop in and check it out afterward. Cute little spot with delicious drinks and pretty flowers on all the tables and counters, which gave the space a nice, homey touch. They had a fun summer menu, but I went with a more classic iced latte with brown sugar and cinnamon, and it was tasty! The barista was a joy and provided great service. The space is on the smaller side, though, and it did get pretty loud once more customers came in. I liked the setup and enjoyed my drink, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's a place I'd hang out for hours. Overall, a cute new addition to downtown Upland with good drinks and friendly service. Solid 4 stars!

I would like to start by pointing out, this place has the friendliest and most warmest people working here. They place is relatively new and the decor is simple but very clean. I been looking for good Matcha place in Upland. I think I finally found a my spot. The matcha was had a nice flavor and of course very respectable. I highly recommend.

I stopped by Lontra Coffee in the downtown Upland area and had the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Iced Latte. It was really good! I loved that you could actually taste the coffee it wasn't overly sweet, and the brown sugar and cinnamon flavors complemented it really well. Even though it's located in downtown Upland parking wasn't difficult to find which was a nice. The customer service was welcoming and friendly from the moment I walked in. The inside of the shop is nice and clean. I'll definitely be back to try more of their drinks since this latte was so good!

I've been to Lontra a few times already and they never disappoint. I do tend to stick to their seasonal menus because they put a few out that I don't want to miss. This time around I ordered the pecan pie latte and was pleasantly surprised to find actual pieces of pecan in my drink! Such a nice touch. They are super dog friendly which is great for me when I want to bring my pup with me. He also receives a treat from the workers behind the counter when he comes. Will continue coming back!

This used to be Lucky's coffee shop and when I heard it closed and Lontra was coming, I was excited! I love mug service coffee shops and hot coffee...so my review is mostly for hot coffee drinkers. My husband ordered the vanilla latte and I went with the honey lavender latte, both of these drinks were phenomenal! Customer service was also excellent and we had the chance to enjoy some pastries with our lattes! Can't wait to come back!

I saw this place on tiktok and I had to check it out. First of all, the decor is so cute. There's the cutest artwork of otters all over. I asked the cashier what they recommend, and he said the mango sticky rice matcha, so that's exactly what I got. It was so good! The mango and matcha flavors mixed together so well. There was not much seating so that was the only bummer, but other than that everything was amazing! Will be returning.

Had been anticipating the opening of this coffee shop since the lemon festival was in town. I'm glad to see them being so welcomed into the community. There was a soft opening but I managed to go a few days later. The line was still long, but service moved pretty quickly and it didn't take long to get our drinks after the order was placed. They currently do not have any menu on the wall or to be passed around. You have to wait until you're at the register to see the menu. I do think this would help the line go faster if people knew what they wanted to order before they go to the front, but it's still early days. The staff is incredibly nice. It can get loud in there with all the people inside waiting, so it can be difficult to hear the person at the register. We didn't want to keep the line so we just nodded and placed our order. We opted for a Mango Sticky Rice Matcha Latte and a Orange Vanilla Latte. They did have plenty of seasonal drinks and more reasons to keep coming back to try them all. The place does have some seating but with the long lines, most people were opting to take their drinks to go. Mango Sticky Rice Matcha Latte: this was surprisingly really well balanced. I wasn't sure what to expect but I thought it would be sweeter. It was just the perfect amount of sweetness. The drink had little bits of fruit at the bottom that were a nice surprise. You could still taste the matcha but it was subtle. Presentation was great. Orange Vanilla Latte: I did ask for my drink to be light on the vanilla, and they prepared it perfectly. Also another well balanced drink. My friend really enjoyed the taste of orange in the drink, as did I. They did also have a case of pastries at the register. We didn't get any this time but good to know for future cravings and snacks. Can't wait to try other drinks from their menu.

I stopped by Lontra Coffee after they opened in downtown Upland, and I'm excited to have a spot like this in the area. The location is great, and they've done an awesome job utilizing the space. There are plenty of seating options, making it a great place to meet up with friends, work, or just hang out. I'm especially looking forward to seeing what they do with the patio. The customer service was excellent. Pauline was incredibly kind, and everyone else I interacted with was just as welcoming. You can tell they're excited to be there, and it creates a really inviting atmosphere. I tried three drinks: the Passion Fruit Guava Matcha, the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha, and the Peach Cobbler coffee. Both matchas had a beautiful vibrant color, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. My one recommendation would be to order the matchas half sweet. The fruit flavors, especially in the Passion Fruit Guava Matcha, and the sweetness of the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha tended to overpower the matcha itself. I would have loved for the earthy matcha flavor to shine through a little more, and I think ordering them half sweet would create a better balance. The Peach Cobbler coffee was a fun and unique take on a flavored coffee. It was well executed, and you can definitely taste the quality of the espresso. Overall, Lontra is a fantastic addition to downtown Upland. Between the welcoming staff, inviting space, and quality coffee, I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu.

Saw this place on Tik Tok and wanted to see if the aesthetic lived up to what it showed. Safe to say was a bit disappointed but willing to try again. Parts of the cafe were very pleasing even the outside but yet still felt like something was missing. Of course the drink I came for was SOLD OUT which was the Mango sticky rice matcha. However, I appreciate their syrups are made in house but my issue is this was a coffee shop where the flavor (e.g. orange) was there, but the matcha was noticeable just no balance. The matcha almost acted like a compliment to the orange. The team was super sweet and very informative, learned they have a location in DTLA might have to give it a try to see the difference. :)

Nice new spot in downtown upland! Came during soft opening and loved seeing the different options for coffee. We got a cold brew with seasonal cold foam which was coconut and a brown sugar cinnamon coffee. Both were very good! The only thing I wish is that they would have a large option for drinks. Everyone inside was very friendly and welcoming, found my new go to spot in this area!

Always asking to make sure the drinks are good when you pick them up. I also really like the actual café. There's plenty of space to sit down, they have Wi-Fi, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough that I could easily see myself bringing a laptop and getting some work or homework done here. If you work remotely and want to get out of the house for a bit, this would be a great little spot. Good coffee, chill atmosphere, and a nice place to get some work done. It was so phenomenal that we ended up coming back twice! Visit 1: I ordered their most popular item--the Thai Tea Soft Serve with honey boba (9oz). Hands down, this is the best Thai tea soft serve I have ever tasted in California. The flavor is incredibly potent, rich, and stays completely true to a perfect soft serve texture. I ate it so fast I didn't even get a photo! My boyfriend got the same thing and added Oreo crumbs, which was a huge hit. Visit 2: I decided to explore the menu and tried the "Fire Dragon"--a black milk tea topped with crème brûlée and honey boba. It was delicious, though to make the tea more rich I recommend brewing the tea a bit longer to give that black tea flavor an extra punch against the rich cream. My little brother ordered the Thai tea soft serve with boba and Oreo crumbs (16oz) and his instant verdict was: "When can we come back?"
