I noticed they had a banana matcha that used to be listed as seasonal online -- it's permanent now. Lucky me. I ordered it, and it was really good. The vanilla wafer crumbles were a nice touch, and the banana cold foam was thick, flavorful, and the best part of the drink. I signed up for their rewards in case I'm back in the area, since the points don't expire. What I didn't expect was two mini cookies for signing up. They were adorable and delicious -- perfect for dipping in coffee or eating with your drink. Such a sweet little bonus. They also have a good pastry case: muffins, cookies, breads, ham and cheese croissants, and more. The aesthetics of the store were so fitting! I like the vintage style decor and how there was so much opening seating. It's a great place to study or catch up with friends. It looked like there were some outlets around. The cashier was super friendly and attentive, I really appreciated that she spoke my order back to me. I received some free mini cookies for signing up my phone number which was great. For my drink, I got an iced sea salt caramel latte which was very yummy and not too sweet (a little less sweet than the Starbucks frapps in the glass bottle). The sea salt crème on top was delicious and they were generous with the amount. I do wish it was slightly saltier because I love the contrasting flavor in a sweet and salty drink. All of the drinks were excellent with a good balance of sweetness. Really liked the brûlée cream on the Fire Owl. Service was friendly, and love the owl logo and overall decor. Stopped by on a Sunday mid morning, there was no line but the shop was full with customers and great energy. We ordered the Banana Brule iced latte & an iced Spanish latte both tasted amazing. The banana brule actually has banana slices on top. We also go the cinnamon raisin bagel 10/10 and a Chocolate chip oatmeal cookie my favorite!! They both were served warm and were soooo good. It was my first time here! After browsing at the thrift shop nearby, I decided to make a pit stop for boba. When I pulled up into the parking lot, it was a bit of a tight squeeze. The drivers here are a bit careless and don't check their blind spots. Be careful when coming in and out. I came inside and was immediately pleasantly surprised. The decor inside is super cute, super modern, and very hipster. I really liked everything they had on their walls and on their shelves. They also had very nice board games that camouflaged as books! I loved their little calendar and the used coffee candles, too. I had walked and was warmly greeted by Kaylene. She had pointed out the closeup menu for me to look at, too. I settled for an Ember Owl Milk Tea and their Lychee Oolong Tea with boba. I took a seat and checked out their shop as I waited for my drinks. The art was very cute and I loved their mirror in the front. They have very chic furniture to sit on with very nice tables. I sat on their bench and David, who had made my drinks, offered a drink carrier. I really enjoyed their ember owl milk tea; it has a crème brûlée top which was delicious when I mixed it with my tea. Their lychee oolong was typical and just as expected; it also came with lychee jelly. What I was surprised about was their boba, which was incredibly soft. It's a texture I wasn't used to, but it didn't make it bad. I wonder how they got their boba that soft unless it's handmade. It's not much of a chew and it's easy to swallow. Stumbled here by accident and I'm glad we did. Wake Cafe is in a small shopping center that I've passed by many times but never really looked into. The inside is nice and modern and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The coffee was tasty and not bitter! Both lattes I tried came with a cream cold top which was smooth and full of flavor. This is my first time here and I'm honestly obsessed The ambience is sooo chill and peaceful, perfect for a study session or just hanging out. They even have a rewards system which is super cool! You can order through a self-serve machine or at the register, and the girl at the front was super friendly. Drink: I got their Nana Matcha and it was yummy! Not too sweet which was really nice. Service: The barista who took my order was really nice and helpful. I hate to give this place a bad review because the service was sooo good! We are on a coffee hunt so we have been trying out a bunch of places all around the IE and some parts of LA that cross over, iykyk. Their lychee drink was soo good and honestly what made up for the other drink. It was perfectly sweet and the jelly was good too! We got their honey cinnamon coffee and their hojicha with cloud tops and honestly i was so disappointed. The cloud top just tasted like whip cream and had no flavor :( it seems like they just mix their heavy cream and call it a day. It's wayyyy too thick. It's always my favorite part of the drink so i was a little sad about that. The hojicha was very basic. I hardly tasted anything, i think maybe if it was more concentrated or honestly a different brand I'd probably like it more. The coffee was very milky and not strong at all. I think you'd have to add an extra shot to get it at a decent taste... Overall i just wasn't very impressed. It seem like they might be better off going to a boba shop sort of route rather than a coffee shop. I will say their space is decent and if you need a place to get work done, this would be a good place to drop by and do it. I love their interior and like i said service was great. Absolutely love coming here! This location replaced a boba shop..what a major upgrade. This is one of my favorite coffee shops, and I've been to a lot. Parking is not hard. Inside vibe is modern and chill. There is WiFi available and a couple tables for studying/working. Also an area to chill and enjoy your drink. I've tried a couple of their drinks my favorite is the Dirty Thai tea. It's Thai milk tea, condensed milk, espresso, and coffee jelly. Sometimes I get an extra shot of espresso. They give you the options of exchanging the coffee jelly to something else which is cool because not a lot of places let you substitute. This drink is so good it's gone by the time I drive home. Service is always excellent, top-notch. As busy as they are you're always greeted with warm smile, even with lots of customers they work fast to get you your order. This was our first time at Wake Cafe, and we were really excited to try it, especially because of their specialty lattes. The atmosphere was great, and the male employee who helped us was initally kind and helpful. He even recognized us from another coffee shop and initiated a friendly conversation, so we genuinely appreciated his customer service. Unfortunately, that completely changed when we were leaving. We thanked him and told him our drinks were great, and he rolled his eyes and widened them at the male next to him, almost as if to say, "Can they just leave?" All we did was thank him and say we enjoyed our drinks as we were walking out. If the friendliness was fake, that's disappointing, but seeing that reaction after was just incredibly disrespectful and ruined the experience. Like at least wait until the customers leave dude lol. Hopefully, this is an opportunity to remind staff that customers deserve the same respect after the transaction as they do during it. read more

I got here on a Monday around 2:30 pm hoping to work done, but they close at 3 pm on weekdays. I ordered a Spanish latte which was exactly what I needed on this chilly day. It was hot, creamy, and not too sweet.
