Tricky. Covid times. The food is still good and they've tried to keep up the menu. My favorite is the pumpkin squash curry. Today, all food is served in take-out containers. You go to the front of the restaurant, place your order, pay, and they bring it to you. As you can see the utensils are not appropriate for the soup. Another negative is eating out of plastic. The ambiance is not what it was, I applaud them for staying open in these trying times. Do yourself a favor and get the food to go. You'll enjoy it more with proper serving dishes and utensils. read more

We tend to order the same 6ish dishes when eating Thai food and this time was no different, we were hungry and a little tired so we wanted a comfort meal before calling it a night. I called before because the Apple Maps listing looked a little funky and they confirmed they're open and gave me tips on where to park. Can someone call the fire department, because my mouth is on fire! My wife ordered the pad Thai with chicken and the Pad See Eew. MAJOR PRO: Holy moly they give so much. When we got the delivery, the two dishes weighed like 6 pounds. I'm a big eater and love Thai food, and the amount they gave us was fitting for two separate meals. Love the portions, and that's a huge plus for us. So if you're hungry and craving Thai food, this is the place! The food was really tasty, but for some reason, I think the dishes lacked some acidity to it. The pad Thai was great, but it was sweet and I actually went to my refrigerator and cut a lemon to add some acidity, which made it better. It's just missing that...kick. And wow our mouths are on fire ! I ordered a 2 and my wife got a 3 in spiciness, and we finished what we can with our lips numb and noses runny. I'm not the best at spiciness at all, and my wife can eat some spicy food, but man that was tough to finish. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a decent Thai food. The ginger stirfry will bring me back again and again and I live 40 minutes outside of Seattle I dislike pad Thai at most Thai restaurants, but the pad Thai here is decadent and very well-made. Yummo! Friends and I visited Bahn Thai in early March after they told me of all the delicious meals they'd eaten there before. I was excited by the look of the deep-fried spring rolls, prawn fresh rolls, crab rangoon, and blanket prawns but soon realized that I'm not five people so I needed to choose. :-) On this visit I selected the deep-fried spring rolls that came with a sweet sauce. For my entree I opted for the garlic stir fry made with sautéed onions, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, and broccoli. Mmmm. Tasty and healthy entree. To accompany my meal I was debating between the lychee martini or the ginger martini. Thought I'd end up having one of each but the ginger one was so dang good I had a second. It wasn't a strong cocktail but it was made with fresh ginger that made my tastebuds swoon. I'm looking forward to returning! read more

It's located inside of a house like building! I love these type of unique spaces for restaurants. It's so much fun! We came on a Sunday evening and we're seated right away. It's was a pleasant setting. Lovely Thai goddess decorations too. We ordered our favorite style of side rice noodles - Drunken Noodles (mild). Chicken Green Curry (mild) with 2 sides of rice and also Fried Rice. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Serving size was perfect for the four of us to eat family style. If you can't take spicy, the mild will still give you a slight tingle on your tongue, so order "no spice". - my daughters Have yourself a lovely time. OK I'll give it five stars and I've only been there once. But a friend of mine and I walked in and I just ordered the daily special. It was garlic shrimp on green beans, and the sauce was fantastic. The waiters were great. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Will I go back? Oh absolutely. So far it's the best Thai food. I've had in Seattle. Recommended on a list from our hotel. Didn't disappoint! Extensive menu, but we stuck to dishes we're familiar with. Pad Thai with shrimp (ordered 'mild' but was still slightly spicy), deep fried spring rolls (ok, but underwhelming) and the dinner special- crisp sautéed garlicky green beans with shrimp (very tasty & delicious- done perfectly!). This is a big claim, but we agreed, the Pad Thai was probably the best we ever had. Traditional mango sticky rice for dessert, which my dining mates enjoyed, personally would have liked more dessert choices. Interesting art pieces decorated throughout the entire restaurant. Was a somewhat full dining room, so it was slightly loud. Very nice and friendly service. Prices, usual~ but portions moderate. No leftovers between 3 people. Very satisfying dinner. read more

Amazing Thai restaurant that has been around since 1984! Ever since moving to Lower Queen Anne in April, it has quickly become our go-to neighborhood Thai spot. I love that it's open until 9:30 p.m. --usually our Thai cravings begin around 8, followed by an hour of justifying not cooking dinner at home that night, then calling and placing the order and walking over. And each time we are super pleased with our orders! My BF always gets the Pad Thai (2 stars) with fried tofu. I alternate between the Chicken Pad Thai and the Chicken Pad See Ew (extra broccoli and a side of white rice!) Both are awesome, and the staff who work here are really sweet. The portions are also some of the most generous in town and there is always lunch the next day! We had an excellent meal from here last Friday that we picked up as a to-go order. We had the Pad Thai & Drunken Noodles, both with tofu. We also got the Crispy Fried Asian Pumpkin app and believe me when I say this, y'all HAVE GOT TO TRY IT. I wasn't keen on ordering it initially (I couldn't picture what it would be like) but my husband ordered it...well, I ended up eating over half of it. . The pumpkin is cut into wedges, coated in panko and fried super, super crispy. There were about 8 pieces of it, which were filling and so satisfying! The dipping sauce is the perfect accompaniment for it. I could seriously eat it all day, every day. Lol! Everything was so good. The Drunken Noodles had such an excellent flavor and there were plentiful veggies to go along with the tofu. Because we ordered it to go, by the time we got home the wide noodles were clumped together, but that's on us. The flavors were amazing. My husband really enjoyed his Pad Thai--his noodles were perfect even after steaming in a container for about 15-20 minutes. Both mains were so much food that they ended up being 2.5 meals each--they def don't skimp on the portions. We haven't been back to Bahn Thai for a few years. We went back tonight and had a splendid meal. It was a birthday celebration so we splurged a bit and ordered chicken satay, grilled beef salad, yellow curry with chicken, and the special panang salmon filet. Everything was delicious, and in particular the salmon was a generous portion and cooked to perfection. We have enough leftovers for both of us to have a full dinner tomorrow night at home. Spice level runs a little to the hot side. I often like four stars, but on the advice of the waiter I went for 3 stars for the beef salad and the salmon, and that was just right. Definitely spicy, but not to the level of breaking out in a sweat. My spouse has a milder palate and found two stars to be a bit spicier than she is used to, but not overwhelming. Service was responsive and polite. We'll definitely come out here again. read more

My family and I visited this restaurant for dinner on Easter Sunday. My kids had never had Thai before, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is inside an old home, it is quaint, decorated with heart and clearly family owned and run. Every server was kind and attentive. The food was delicious - we had several appetizers including tofu spring rolls and gyoza. Both yummy! For dinner our family of 5 shared 3 meals, all served family style and it was the right amount of food. They will bring you as much rice as you'd like to go with it. We had pad Thai, drunken noodles and garlic beef. All delicious! Be mindful of the heat levels - we had level 2 and we definitely couldn't do more than that! It wasn't my favorite Thai place. The atmosphere is cozy and the servers are very friendly. I just didn't enjoy the food as much as I would've liked. My friend and I ordered the Kang Karee Curry & the Pad See Ew. The Kang Karee Curry was good. No complaints there. It doesn't come with rice so you will have to order rice separately, but that's not a big issue. The Pad See Ew wasn't what I expected. It tasted sour. My friend described it as "Pad thai but with flatter noodles". It isn't what I was used to from Pad See Ew so I was disappointed. It wasn't awful so I want to end with a good note. Went off pictures and gut to get the Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Cashew Nut, and Grilled Beef, all at a level 2 medium spice. They were all awesome! I personally liked the Chicken cashew nut the most. The grilled beef has a nice tangy sauce. And the Pad Thai was solid and as expected. We would get all of them again. The mango smoothie was okay but very pricey for what it was. Oh my we are visiting from San Diego and asked a lady walking by our hotel where to eat and she quickly pointed to this restaurant. Alvin was our waiter and he was excellent. He also made us the best long island iced teas we have had yet. The food was fantastic. Sean brought us a beautiful mango pudding dessert and was a delight to talk to. I was super excited to try this place because of all the reviews and good pictures of food, however 37 minutes for just the appetizer which were pretty simple to make. the main entrees took an additional 20-25 minutes give or take for the rest of the 3 other entrées coming in at different times. The third dish came late that I was already fulland asked for a to go box. I commented on the long wait for the appetizer and food on two separate occasions to two different staff members and they did not express an apology or any compensation. Also, who charges $14 per shot of low grade Dewar's whiskey ? For the bill being $156 and poor service, sadly I wont be coming back here. read more
