V20 - BBQ Pork Vermicellis (Bun Thit Nuong )
    Samantha D.

Came here around 8pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately as it was empty. There were 2 employees taking our order and refilling waters. Service was good, no complaints. The restaurant was clean and bright inside with spacious seating despite the small exterior of the building. I ordered the grilled pork rice vermicelli and it was pretty good, they did not skimp on the meat at all and I had a good amount leftover to take home at the end of the meal. We also got spring rolls as an appetizer although they came out after our dishes. The spring rolls were piping hot (almost too hot), crispy, and tasted good as well. My partner ordered a bun bo hue, which he said was tasty but it didn't have pork blood. Overall, a satisfying meal. Would come again to try other items on the menu, particularly the banh mi.

Has been a little over a year since we visited this place sandwiches were always good and tasty inside is clean. Employees are friendly. We are having a sandwich craving and decide to try this place again and it has changed. Sandwich is a better tastier and larger. We would definitely come back here again

One of the best pho restaurants I have been to in the Edison, NJ area. Very friendly staff offering a great service! Only recommendation I would offer is to invest in some shades on the main window... The afternoon sun comes in blazing with no shade at all

This hole in the wall is really good. The bahn mi is one of thee best. They serve it on a really nice warm baguette and with the name of the establishment they are doing that right!! They look like they revamped in the inside it's actually really cute, wooden panels and plenty of seating. The beef noodle dish was really delish, it was on their specials page! The Vietnamese spring rolls are always a win! Highly recommend this place, it doesn't let you down. Service was great and prices have definitely went up but just like everything else with inflation. Beef dish was $17. Bahn mi was $10 and spring rolls were $10.

True to its name, they serve a solid banh mi here! I haven't tried anything else on the menu, but the banh mis are filling and satisfying. I enjoyed the BBQ Pork and Lemongrass Tofu (which is a lighter option, but with nice lemongrass flavor). Weather was nice so we ate our banh mis outdoors, but the restaurant also has a spacious indoor dining area.

The vietnamese sandwiches are great and I would definitely get them again. The pho was okay. I wish the combo with the oxtail was not just two tiny pieces of oxtail for the $20. It was good in flavor but more on the clear side I'll definitely return for the bahn mi. Service: can be slow at times

Exceptional bahn-mi always, been my go to for years. Stopped in tonight for a quick bite and got the BBQ pork over rice combo. The meat was delicious as always and a really filling meal overall. The person at the counter was extra nice and packed my bahn mi to-go with the carrots and cilantro separately so I could toast it up later. Told me not to rush even though I felt slightly guilty for dining in very close to their closing time.

I was surprised to see a lot of people comment negatively on the appearance of Baguette Delite. It's not super modern and instagram worthy perhaps, but it was very clean and I felt it had a warm and inviting charm! Plenty of seating available, yes very casual, but I felt it was a nice place for lunch. I ordered the BBQ Banh Mi combo, which comes with the full size sandwich, fries and a soda. The fries were nice and crisp while also having a potatoey consistency on the inside. They had a nice flavor that mimicked the flavor of their other dishes so maybe they are fried in the same oil or maybe they just use the same spices. Either way, they were good and had a flavor to them. The Banh mi was delicious but I had small issues with the vegetables: there weren't enough jalepeno (only two slices on a pretty large sandwich), and the carrot was shredded, I prefer when there is a bit more bite to it. I also would have liked some sauce to add, but we took ours to go so I only had what was available to me at work. Had we stayed there to eat, it looked like there was a large variety of different sauces to choose from. They also have plenty of different bubble tea flavors. I ordered the coconut and it did not disappoint! There was only one person working there when we came in (that I could see), but it was not busy and she was very friendly and accommodating. All in all it was a very tasty lunch, we will definitely order from here again.

Hands down THE BEST Vietnamese spot I've been to on the east coast. HUGE tasty portions made with love. The broth in the pho was so good that I didn't want to ruin it with the usual hoisin and sriracha or any other toppings. The bbq pork chop combo was different from what I've previously had elsewhere. Intense marinated Flavors. So delicious. I highly recommend this spot. I only found this because they're open at 10am While everyone else opens at 11 or later.

    Combo pork chop on rice

Food tasted good overall but the interior could be cleaner. Combo pork chop on rice-pork chop was soft and marinated perfectly with great taste. Large combo pho-meat was too tough for me that I couldn't chew most of them. Noodles and soup tasted nice. The portion size of the large was the perfect serving size for me since the regular size wouldn't be enough food. You can pay at the counter and the food is brought to you.

Good to see they have upgraded themselves from a mainly takeout joint to a properly sit-down restaurant. They were the first Vietnamese restaurant in the area, but now there are many competitions, some with better locations near Asian supermarkets. Wish them luck!

Pho typically uses rice noodle, which is gluten free. But, you should ask restaurant, encase they use some other type of noodle. Should ask for ingredients, as the broth may have soy sauce, which has gluten.

When trying a new boba place I always try both a fruit tea and a milk tea so I can get an idea whether I would like it or not. The first couple times I went there I tried the Shingen Jelly Passion Fruit Tea and the Red Bean Milk Tea Latte and they just weren't my preference so I was going to just write this place off. I mentioned to a friend who lived locally that I tried it and she said that she loved their Strawberry Matcha and that I should give it another try. Glad I did! Their Strawberry Matcha Latte is the best I ever had. The strawberry puree they use is just delicious and unique. I've actually tried purchasing it on its own to add to my own matcha at home but sadly they don't sell it separately. It's so good that I normally buy one to enjoy the same day and another for the next day but unfortunately they will not make it no ice (I've asked and explain the situation) so the second day one is not as good due to the ice melting. This is probably my most frequented boba shop lately because I'm addicted to this drink. I've come here more than a dozen times in the last 3 months. The people working there are quite nice, they always with no fail mention to shake the drink before drinking. It is clean and they haven't made too many changes from when YiFang was there. I normally order on the FanTuan app for pick up so it's quicker. Parking lot is usually packed but because I order in advance I just park in the 15 minute parking out front and run in. Ube Coconut Vietnamese Coffee: This drink was a little different and it just did not taste great. My friend stated that he was glad he added sugar, but he felt like this drink could have been better as it was not to his liking. Mango Matcha: I have mixed feelings about this drink as it tasted a little weird. One sip it tastes a little sweet and another sip it tastes a little bitter. I think I should have stuck with some mango drink instead. Chocolate Egg Pancake: Last time we got this item it did not have any chocolate filling inside of it. It was just a regular egg pancake but chocolate looking. They perfected this with the chocolate filling inside and it definitely tastes better now. Overall: I do not think I would come out of my way just to come here to get bubble tea. If I am in this area again next time, then I may give it another try with a different drink. It is a self-serve, no tip restaurant so you'll need to either order their their kiosk machines, or there's QR codes available on the table for you to order from your phone. We ordered their slippery egg chicken rice combo with Hong Kong style milk tea with aged tangerines, a slippery egg rice with pork chop, and also baked pork chop rice with curry sauce and cheese. The slippery egg rice was on point. The eggs were silky, moist and velvety , almost custard like in texture. It was also rich and savory. I like how the chicken was lightly fried without having too much breading. They used chicken thighs so it was moist, tender and well seasoned. The fried pork chop, which was similar to pork katsu, was perfectly fried with a crispy, well seasoned crust which adhered well to the meat. The meat was juicy and succulent. The curry had a mild kick which I liked and there were also little pieces of carrots and potatoes in it. The only thing was I felt there was a little too much sauce as I felt the rice was drenched in it, which made it a little too rich for my liking. The lemon tea with aged tangerines was my favorite. The lemon tea tasted authentic. One of the best I've had including the ones I've tried in the Hong Kong style cafes in nyc. The tea flavor is intense which I can tell it's not just from a tea bag. The tea was balanced well with aged tangerines which added more citrusy and a subtle earthy flavor. The drink is bold yet refreshing. It was at night on a Saturday so many of the shelves were empty but they still had a few things left. Sunmerry appears to be a chain but one that I have never visited before until now so I can't really comment on what they have, but I did manage to grab: MATCHA CLOUD DONUT - This reminded me vaguely of the im donut donuts I tried in NYC. Very soft and pillowy and filled to the brim with a lightly sweet, matcha filling. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this. RED BEAN MATCHA BAGEL - it's a matcha dough with red bean filling BUT the filling doesn't go all the way around. It goes maybe 65% so if you're splitting this with someone like I did, fingers crossed you both get a decent amount. The bagel was soft and in a bagel shape but it lacked the chew of a bagel. The filling was nice and different but the matcha taste was subtle - if that. Overall, liked the idea, but I wanted more of a bagel chew than what I got and to taste the matcha better. Maybe even have a more even share of the red bean. COFFEE BRIOCHE LOAF - my husband liked this one! Which is good because I got it for him. This is quite good. Soft, lightly sweet with a coffee top. We ate this maybe 12 hours after and much of the top layer had "melted" and gotten on the cellophane but it was still delicious. Perfection. I definitely scraped off the coffee bits from the cellophane so it didn't go to waste. PINEAPPLE BUN W/ MILK - I grabbed this one thinking there was a filling inside and there wasn't. I don't know if the bun was placed in the wrong location or the name is telling me the bun isn't vegan but it's a good pineapple bun but without anything inside, it was a tad dry. Maybe it needs a pat of butter like they do in HK. MELON PAN - I haven't had this in a good long while so I got it for fun. It's smaller than the pineapple bun and the topping is a little sweeter - I remember crunching on sugar crystals. It's not bad but also not filled so it's a tiny bit on the dry side. The place has tables to the side where you can enjoy your goodies. I didn't stay too long but they definitely serve drinks and delicious cakes as well. The staff were nice and the place seemed on the dim side. Fingers crossed I can go back during the day to get a better idea of what they have! In the meantime, this is a good place for an Asian bakery fix. They do list out ingredients under the names of their baked goods so that's awesome! From what I could see, their baked goodies are likely not vegan or gluten-free friendly, though...

Just my opinion, but this is the best bakery in Central Jersey. Everything is always fresh and…read morestraight from the oven. Their cakes are beautifully decorated and delicious. They also offer tea, coffee, and refreshing fruit drinks in the summer. My go-to items are the almond croissant and the coconut buns, but the donuts are flaky and tasty too. They even have a membership program that gives you dollars off your purchases--definitely worth joining if you come often. Overall, if you're looking for a bakery to try, this place is absolutely worth a visit. There's plenty of parking and a few tables where you can sit, relax, and enjoy your treats.

Love coming here and seeing people from toddler age to folks with their grandparents. Bubble tea is for all! My husband loves to try the new fruity varieties that get added to the menu. Every few weeks there is a new, unique fruit combination that blows him away. I stick to my tried and true Thai iced tea with boba, and NOWHERE else has been able to compete. The details are what makes this place stand out. If you buy multiple drinks, they place your order in an adorable, reusable purple bag. Also, there is a rewards program. So if you're an avid boba drinker, make sure you sign up. Every few orders you can score a free bite to eat or bubble tea. Since it's a hit spot, this place can get packed at peak times (post work hours, and especially on weekends). So happy to have such a lovely shop in my town. Thanks, Akihi!

The inside was very different from your usual bubble tea spot, and it was very welcoming and cozy. I could definitely see myself just chilling and reading a book while enjoying my food and drink. I placed my order through the kiosk while looking over the menu, which had a lot of good options. I couldn't make up my mind and decided to go with the bubble tea and Oreo waffle crepe. Both items were good, and I enjoyed the waffle, which had ice cream as the filling and was stuffed with fillings, but it was a little difficult to eat since the wrapper is not very practical, and I had to use my hands, so it got a bit messy. Did I regret it? No way, I loved it; hopefully, they would just have a better container for it, lol. Definitely will get a sugar rush, so be careful hahaha. I would definitely go back to try the other flavors
