Vivi Edison is located in the strip mall with a checkered roof across from the Dunkin on Route 27, and shares a parking lot with a dentist, an eye doctor, and several other Chinese-owned businesses. The interior is a straightforward square, with some small tables and chairs along one wall and a bar-height counter and stools along the opposite wall facing the parking lot. The decor includes photos of best-selling drinks and art of the Vivi mascot. The place seems more like a grab-and-go joint rather than somewhere you would linger with a laptop or with a date. The inside gets real humid if the AC is off. I like the wooden ceiling. My experience at this Vivi is based solely on a Doordash pickup, but it was a positive one. My order was ready when I arrived, and the sole employee behind the counter gave me my drink right away before helping another customer who was intent on distracting her with photos of his daughter. I'm guessing he was a regular. She did her best to appear interested before resuming her duties in the kitchen. I picked out an individually wrapped straw from one of the three baskets by the counter and took a few sips of my Jasmine milk tea before leaving: my Jasmine milk tea had a distinct Jasmine flavor, and the ice and sweetness levels matched what I ordered. read more

They used to be in the NJ Food court until that building was closed down. They reopened at this new location on route 27 in Edison. The bubble tea shop is clean with no seating available inside for customers yet. The Staff: Some times they seem like they are short staffed and can not keep up with the drinks and customers. They are very friendly and are patient with the customers when they are deciding on the drinks. Peach Pulp: This is delicious but it seems like the peach pieces were reduced in size and quantity. Oreo Creme-Brulee: My friend got this drink and he said that it tasted very delicious. He said this is his new favorite drink and will get it again next time. Mango Green Tea w/ Mango popping boba: This drink tastes all right and the mango popping boba is unique. It lacks the green tea flavor and has some mango taste. Overall: This is still one of my favorite bubble tea shops in NJ and I love their stamp cards. I hope they bring back the popcorn chicken soon because my friends and I miss it. read more

Always a fan of Vivi bubble tea! I've tried in different locations and they always seem consistent. I was able to call my order ahead and pick it up on the way home. I noticed that they are available on UberEats and DeliveryPanda. Like most bubble tea spots, you can adjust the sugar and ice levels. Matcha red bean and strawberry yakult are some of my classic favorites so I had to share the recommendations with my family. (Side note: Strawberry yakult doesn't have any added sugars.) Thai milk tea at its regular sugar level is not excessively sweet. It was just right for me. According to my sister, the peach aloe fruit tea already comes with toppings? She added lychee jelly and felt it was too many toppings. There were some packaged snacks being sold on the side. Also, bring cash to avoid being charged a small fee for paying with card. I never got to visit them when they were a food court location, so having their own space is definitely nice. They had board games available. Unfortunately, it's all blocked off due to COVID-19 restrictions. Hopefully soon people will get to sit down and enjoy this Vivi location!! read more

I understand what this is all about. In other location the creme brulee is perfectly tasted. This location is made sloppy with no understanding . In addition the front girl is rude! She has a very deep accent, so she is probably feeling the frustration by being rude to customers. I would give this place a minus but since it doesn't have a minus... it gets a one star for being in the neighborhood. But I definitely will not return and take my business somewhere else. No mask, no gloves, no hand sanitizers; Just beware of what you're ordering here; the sugar, content, cleanliness and customer service. The service here is AMAZING. I had a group order 20 minutes before closing (sorry vivi). I got a call saying tapioca ran out so I needed to replace or delete boba toppings from 4 drinks. They offered to do free substitutions and when we later came in to pick up the drink orders, I got a free drink card. They were so nice despite the fact that we were the ones who put in a large order not too long from closing. To the staff at this establishment: thank you for your hospitality. After over a year later, if I could, I would add more stars to this ViVi location. All of the drinks taste delicious on the menu. I am a floater, so I always drink different flavors each time (yes I get bored easily) so I've tried majority of it. & I must say, they all come out great each time. Menu is extensive so there is so many to choose from, there's something for everyone. The owners are super nice, hard working (they usually never take off) and accommodating. This is really rare to find because people like this are genuine and you can tell upfront. They always make sure they let you know straight forward about any drink you are requesting. & also they take COVID super serious here; masks are always to be worn to the store and sanitizer is available for use so to whoever who had said otherwise is clearly lying. Anyways, I must say, it is always busy here so you know it's the real deal -- tapioca is amazing because they always cook it to perfection *chefs kiss* I like how they don't soak it in honey. Because ive tried a lot of bubble tea back in my days and although honey gives it a different taste, id rather cut back on the sugar. I was so excited to go here since I haven't had bubble tea in several months (I usually go at least every other week lol). My black milk tea was perfection. I dont understand how this has good reviews. Ordered taro creme brule and it was literally just milk with sugar....the "brule" was literally stuck to the side of the cup and was a waxy nasty texture. I came in with a group of friends 20 minutes before closing and although they ran out of a topping we wanted, they gave us extra topping of whatever else we wanted free of charge and also gave us a fully stamped stamp card!! I used to be a frequent customer at this establishment but I will no longer be. I ordered a Matcha Latte with Tapioca, this was my first time ordering the drink at this location but I have had it at other locations. I only took a few sips of the drink and realized something was off with the taste of the drink. It did not taste how other Matcha Lattes with Tapioca taste as it was sour with a fishy taste. I could not drink the rest of the drink so I returned to the location and asked if the flavor could be switched because of the taste. They told me no and said "That is just how Japanese Matcha tastes". I repeated that I do not like this taste and the again told me no. As an establishment I find this crazy that you tell a customer no to what seems to be a simple request. I had not asked for a refund or anything, just to change flavors. I would think that customer satisfaction would be a top priority but sadly that was not the case. There was no refund or exchange policy posted so I don't see how you could not appease a frequent customer. I will NOT be returning to this location again because of this. read more

My fiancé and I went into this place with high hopes due to the reviews, but were unfortunately disappointed. She ordered a hot taro milk tea with the bubbles and said it tasted like strawberry tea. I ordered a hot lychee flavored tea and I couldn't drink more than 4 sips. My lychee tea had no added sugar and the "tea" tasted like I was drinking hot lychee syrup with no oolong flavor to be found. We also thought the staff were a little rude and unwelcoming, but being from New York, that is less of an issue than the quality of the product. We will not be returning. read more
