I've seen a lot of the real fruit bubble tea shops in the malls but never thought to try one because how legit can it be right? Well, the one in the Menlo Park mall food court is totally legit! Like the name of the shop, they use real fruit. You can see the staff cutting the mango and by the way, the mango they were cutting looked so juicy. My kids ordered mango diamond slush and mango pineapple smoothie. Both were good. The mango diamond comes with free mango chunks. We added lychee jelly. The mango pineapple does not come with free mango chunks but can be added as a topping for a fee. We ordered this with the mango chunks and rainbow jelly (you can only add 2 toppings). I ordered the coconut milk tea. I really enjoyed it but it was super sweet. It tasted like sweetened coconut milk. I added rainbow jelly which was really good. read more

I needed a mid-Friday pick me up and when I got to the Menlo food court, bubble tea caught my eye. There wasn't much in the way of friendly service, but it also wasn't unfriendly, just very systematic. You can order on the tablets provided on the cash wrap near the entrance, I didn't realize there would be SO MANY options! I'm not sure if you have to order on these or if you can order with the baristas but you're probably better off ordering on here to see all your options as well as what is a free upgrade vs an up-charge. I went with a coconut boba tea made with black tea. It was delicious and as expected. I didn't have to wait long for it, and it was just the thing I needed in that moment. I normally love the drinks I get from here but today it wasn't the same it normally is. Today when my receipt was supposed to print out nothing came out and I asked for a receipt. The female worker asked if I knew what number I was and she confirmed the number for me and then did not give me a receipt. Then the next thing wrong was my drink wasn't what I asked for. But 1 they were busy and 2 I was just getting thirsty, so I was like oh well whatever this time I'll just drink what I got instead of what I asked for. But really I wish the workers would pay attention to the order and also check their machines if the receipts are not printing. read more

Living up to its name! The mango slush was super fresh. I watched the employee cut up the mango chunks that were at the bottom of the drink. We also got the original black milk tea with half sugar. It was dialed in and delicious. They have a very generous amount of boba, but they were small and hard. They were super busy but that didn't effect their efficiency the slightest. I am giving this review below because the drinks were horrible. Green Apple Crush: This tastes nothing like green apple and just tastes like crushed ice with no flavor at all. Did they even add any flavors to this drink or did they just blend ice with food dye? Mango Diamond Slush: My brother told the cashier that I did not want the boba but they gave it to me anyways. The boba tasted disgusting and was soft and hard at the same time. The drink had NO mango taste at all and was watered down or they put too much ice. This was a waste of money. Overall: They need a lot of work on making the boba so it can taste delicious. They also need a lot of working on making a slush and the crush. My brother and I are afraid to come back to give it a try again since this time it was a waste of money. read more

I'm not even mad that I ordered honeydew and there was none left. I'm mad that the staff was rude and unapologetic when relaying this information to me and then proceeded to put our drinks at the back of the line to be made last after we decided on a different fruit. I think it's poor customer service to give me an attitude about not having something is stock that is available to order on the menu and then pushing put drinks to the back of the line after we have already been inconvenienced. That being said they also stopped accepting cash payments at 7:15 (45 minutes before they close) and used at least a cup of bleach cleaning their cutting boards 1 foot away from where drinks were being prepped (no diluting, straight from the bottle). They're gonna make someone sick! I used to frequent this location but after tonight's poor attitude, ridiculously long wait, and a glaring health code violation I will not be back. read more

I first saw this chain at the Garden State Plaza mall with the line out the door and around the corner. I could only wonder is this place really worth the wait?? Luckily this location was able to work through a bunch of orders fast despite there being a long line. There was about 10 people in front of me but the entire wait from the line to receiving my order took 5-7 minutes. The area is very clean and sleek looking with the wooden decor and neutral tones. The vast display of fruits is also there to remind you that real fruits are used lol and are the focus due to being one of the few colorful things amongst the decor. As stated in the name of the shop, Real Fruit Bubble Tea focuses on using real fruit in many of their drinks. I tried the Mango Diamond Slush, which is a House Special. When the cashier asked what toppings I wanted, I said the regular ones that come with it, but I did not get tapioca in mine, just the mango slices. I'm not sure if I was supposed to indicate that I wanted tapioca as I assumed that it would automatically come with it like shown in the picture. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the drink immensely as the mango was perfectly ripe and the fruit bits added to the fresh taste! I wish I could've known what it tasted like with the tapioca pearls, but I'll be glad to come back to try the other flavors and toppings! I'm also interested to see how this compares to the other bubble tea shops in this area. The use of real fruits gives Real Fruit Bubble Tea an edge over other places. I appreciate the craft that goes into slicing the mango for the Mango Diamond Slush, so I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the menu followed suit. read more

This place was one of the only places I seen that didn't have a discount for the mall employees. The total for two milk teas came up to around $16 which was absolutely overpriced to begin with, but this was just the beginning. As I am waiting for my order there is one singular worker who is hooked up to the AUX and has the control of store music. I have NEVER heard more vulgar music before in my life, but he eventually switched it after me and my guest had complained that this was absolutely unacceptable for somebody of his age to listen to. Our order number was 64; 63 was served and then 65 was served skipping over our order completely and the people before got their drink first. Lastly, when we finally get our drink there is syrup leaked down the side of the cup which was sticky and hard to clean. The store didn't even offer napkins but had cheap tissues to use instead. The drinks were poorly made and were extremely sweet to the point that it was almost undrinkable. For the price of these drinks the service was unacceptable and this is not how a store should be run. I initially was fan of this chain when I first noticed them popping up in malls. What makes this bubble tea chain stand out is its emphasis on its fresh fruit smoothies/slushes. Their website states, "Each drink is made with fruit freshly cut." (They even serve fresh squeezed juices.) A closer look at their menu, however, will reveal that a considerable amount of the slush/smoothie items are not made with fresh fruit, only the ones tagged as such. I noticed when ordering at the Woodbridge location that they added two large scoops of sugar to my watermelon slush. You can request no sugar. They also offer a "Buy 8 get 1 free small size drink" card. read more

I'm disappointed with the staff - some of them have a real attitude problem for no reason. All bubble tea places offer a "no ice" option, including Real Fruit Bubble Tea. It's always been a thing. This time, I asked for no ice and the cashier gave me this "wtf?" smirk and said in kind of a condescending way that my drink will be hot. I said, no just make it the way you usually do, but don't leave the ice in it. I had to argue with the guy, despite the fact that it's an actual option in the menu. Read your own menu, for christ sake. You know how bubble tea is tea and theres ice in it? Just, before handing it to me, scoop the ice out. Overall not bad. But it was kind of on the pricier side. The menu was not very extensive and they lacked drinks that I would consider staples of tea places. The texture of the boba was mostly good but not consistent since some of the boba was hard. Also boba is supposed to be somewhat warm when it's put into the drink and it really was not. I visited the menlo bubble tea this weekend with my boyfriend and his kids and the cashier seemed to have an issue but assured me that my card boyfriends card was not double charged. We looked this morning at the bank statements and in fact we were. When calling to try and get it fixed I was informed that we couldn't go to store, we couldn't get direct phone line to store, and had to email everything and keep checking for refund if it was deemed to be a mistake. This is terrible customer service and huge inconvenience. I am not comfortable with emailing bank statements and card information, that's how people accounts get hacked, but even after expressing my concerns was informed that this was the only way to go about it. I wasn't even offered anything for my inconvenience nor an apology. Customer service is everything for a business and this proves to have been a terrible experience. i am very sad as we are regular customers but probably will never go back to a bubble tea ever again. read more
