I've been here at least 6-7 times in the last few months. Service has always been prompt and friendly, but the last 3 visits, quality of food has dropped. Feb.26th gave it another try. Ordered my usual Pearl, as well as a daily special BLT for a friend($6.00) Both on toasted onion bagels. Neither were toasted, even a little bit, just cold and tough to chew. The Pearl bagel's capers were found only after 1/2 of bagle was eaten, no onions were found. There was a huge, glob of plain cream cheese, over powering the very tiny sliver of lox. BLT was also sad. I huge amount of nice greens (enough for 2 side salads) but, one thin slice,of a golf ball size, tomato and just ONE maximum 2 " long slice of bacon that only 1/2 of that strip was cooked, the other half a sad piece of bacon fat. Really! Pick-up was a disapointment as well. Can excuse a little of the problem, as it was raining very hard. The small outside covered area was over filled with people waiting for their orders. It was suggested I wait in may car, parked right in front of the entry door and they would come outside, "shout out my name" when my order was ready. That occured with the person parked next to me, They waved and I had no trouble hearing them call her name, she got out of her car to get what appeared to be a large order. I waited being patient, considering the size of that order and the number of people waiting outside. After about 15 minutes, no one was waiting outside, I noticed the person who ordered after me also left. No,"order ready" call for me was received. I've been to Bagel Sphere before at the downtown location and was not happy with the meal I got there, but I decided to try it again at the one on 11th. I can't get over how GOOD my bagel was! I ordered the Alder Smoked Salmon bagel that comes with cream cheese, smoked salmon, tomato, onions and capers, and I believe after eating that I can finally die happy. I keep saying to myself even 20 minutes after I left "that was just soo good!" (Also, it's the best hangover cure I've ever tried. I swear by it.) I'll definitely be back. I have time to write this review as I stand in line with 10 other people waiting for over 15 minutes just to get a 6 bagel bag. Overheard in line were such things as " If I see over 4 cars out front, I don't stop anymore" or "I didn't think I was going to be made late to work just picking up some bagels for the crew". To make it worse, the counter help could be less than concerned. You are losing out on sales daily. So, get your act together guys, get a 2nd (faster) toaster up front and some trained help. Love, love, love this place !! My favorite for bagels, the carried away, toasted, cream cheese with lox only, hold the veggies is freek'n awesome. Mama's fave is the cranberry while Wanda digs the blueberry, hold the smear. The ladies and gents behind the counter are friendly and hustle during the morning crush. My major complaint is being spoiled by this place leaving everybody else's bagels in the dust. As for the person complaining to much salt on the savory, meh, hot and cold on the salt content and yes every once in a blue moon a very tough bagel, bugger ! Overall a Raving AM Fave !! Also noted that if there are a bunch of cars already there in the morning we will go down the street for a different breakfast sandwich. Overall we had a below average experience on a Saturday morning. To be fair the staff was very pleasant and polite and the location was clean. A portion of my breakfast bagel was also prepared well and was tasty. As far as the disappointment, I ordered a cinnamon sugar bagel with egg and ham. As stated the egg and ham were well prepared, but the bagel was one of the most disappointing bagels I've ever had. It was small for what I expected and was smaller than many other bagels I saw in the bins. The cinnamon sugar was also very thinly spread on. I was left wishing there was a lot more sweetness to the bagel (which is why I ordered it). Lastly and most disappointing was the fact that the bagel had clearly been binned with a savory flavored (maybe onion flavored) bagel. This gave my bagel an onion flavor undertone. Now that I look back on this I really should have talked to the staff when I was there to order a new bagel. I would try this shop again with some stipulations, otherwise there are many better bagel sandwiches in town. read more

Although their food is delicious, the customer service at bagel sphere w11th is some of the worst I have ever encountered. I have been coming here and recommending this location for about 5 years and recently the employees behind the counter are more concerned with their personal lives and conversations than taking orders and getting them finished in a timely manner. I will no longer be spending my money here or recommending anyone I know come here to spend theirs either. Two times within the last week I have made single item call-in/pick-up orders with ample time to have them ready upon my arrival. Neither of these orders were started until I arrived and made known that the pick-up was waiting in the lobby. Luckily the first time I had time to wait on my way to work and actually watched them start the order I called in 10 minutes prior. This morning there were 3 people working the front however, I called in an order and the female on the phone apparently didn't write my order down at all because when I arrived she said, "ask her what she got again, I forgot what she ordered..." I walked in and the ladies behind the counter were friendly enough, and the selection seemed great. However, while moving my bagel from what looked like a cafeteria toaster to the prep area they dropped it on the floor, dusted it off and started to prepare my salmon bagel. I quickly informed them that it was not okay to which she replied "Your the first to catch that." Like its a habit. When she went to get a fresh bagel she informed me that the one she dropped was the last everything bagel so I would have to pick another bagel. My remaining choices were jalapeno, salt, and a bunch of fruit flavors I chose a jalapeno apparently the last one of those as well. Being out of flavors of bagel at 1:30p is kind of ridiculous. If I hand't already paid I would have left. Then the seating, its awful. They have you crammed into every little nook and cranny the tables all wobble. I ended up sitting next to the beverage cooler because the only other table seating was being taken up by one of the employees taking lunch. read more

A true "bagel shop", Bagel Sphere has an interesting selection of bagels, and quite a few other options. They offer multiple flavors of cream cheese, as well as a spread of pb&j! I didn't have a drink, but they nicely pointed out that they were available. The bagels were a bit smaller than I'm used to but they tasted good. Love the bagels and but on our last trip had a negative interaction with staff. Currently, the shop is having people enter, wait in line,order at the counter and then wait outside due to COVID. After we ordered, we went to wait outside. After about five minutes it got cold so we went back inside to wait, masks on obviously. We were told by staff we needed to go back outside and wait. I explained it was windy and cold and they said we still needed to go back outside for the safety of everyone. Now look, I am not an antivaxxer and have my vaccine shot card in my purse. I don't think COVID is fake or that we shouldn't take precautions, but tell me how does it protect staff to have the same people who waited inside to order with staff, come back in to wait for a couple minutes when its cold? I feel like adhering to the CDC guidance on mask and social distancing protocol is important-both when they advise to social distance and when it's okay to not. Also, we were no way even 15 feet near staff let alone 6 feet. Good bagels, but I hope they start to open up a little more once the Governor opens Oregon back up at the end of the month. read more

I want a salt bagel. Bagelsphere has the best bagels! Yet it's 1:20 in the afternoon and surprise surprise BS has no salt bagels. They never have salt bagels when I want one. I would eat more yet I know I they won't be any in stock so I don't go. So I don't eat bagels. My husband loves their bagels as well. They never have any he wants. And he's like a dog he will eat anything you put in front of em. Bottom line is bagel store should have bagels that they offer ALLLLLLLLLL THE TIME. Thank you. I worked on a very strict budget when I visited Bagel Sphere their board says juices are $2.00 which turned out to be untrue when I got up to the counter it was $3.45 I had to not get the drink, it was so embarrassing they really need to change their bloody board or honor the prices they put up!!!! read more

Great bagels! They have started getting very stingy with the smears though. There use to be a nice thick layer of cream cheese but it keeps getting thinner and thinner every time I go back. I like this place. It is a great alternative (for lunch, etc.) to the standard fast food joints. I like their menu which has a lot of variety in food and in price. You can go in a get something for just a buck or get nicer things for like $7, (I get annoyed at places where everything on their lunch menu costs about $7 or more). Here are the pros: 1. Generally very good food. The bagels are good, the (bagel) bread pudding is good. 2. Good menu variety. 3. Not overly expensive. 4. Great alternative to other options in the area. Here are the cons: 1. Some food things are misses. The bagel hot dog option isn't great. 2. They can be slow and seem to have very high employee turnover. I think every single time I've refilled my gift card (at least they have gift cards!), it is a new person doing it that has to have someone come show them how to do it. 3. They seem to not have a very good system setting up for taking orders and payments. The person you pay usually has no idea what you ordered so you have to tell them exactly what you ordered. read more
