Might be my favorite coffee shop in South Bay. Bada Coffee is kinda small, but it has extra seating outside in the courtyard with a water fountain. Their drinks are very good, even their cold brew is very smooth and tasty. We had one of their pastries, sticky bun, and it was delish. They don't have a huge selection of pastries, but from what I can see, the ones they do have look super yummy. Drinks- great ambience- modern and sleek (with a robotic arm to help with some drinks) service- very attentive and helpful parking- ample spaces in a strip mall location- off PCH, easy to find Lastly, dog friendly, with dog biscuits at the counter. What more could you ask for? Definitely one of my go-to places. Great way to spend a morning, sitting in the courtyard with the sound of water in the background, enjoying a great cup of coffee with my doggy. Can't complain!
Such a cute shop! Plenty of parking, lots of seating inside, great if you're wanting to go somewhere to work. Inside is very clean and spacious. Service was patient and friendly. Made my drink SO fast. I'd get the coffee over the matcha here. My friend got the matcha, I tried a sip and it was a bit milky for my liking but I did enjoy the coffee, cream top is a much needed addition.
Of course I became a regular... Bada hits everytime. It's just every drink they have is amazing. The consistency is there. The quality is there. I alternate between their Spanish latte and their mojito lemonade. They're both sooooOOoOOoOoOOoOooOOo good. I love love love love love love love bada. Highly recommend Spanish latte for coffee and the mojito lemonade for something more bubbly, citrusy and acidic. But also VERY refreshing.
I finally made it here! I had bookmarked this coffee spot a while back and it slipped my mind. Glad I came in! Bada Coffee is in the Plaza Mayor Shopping Center, off PCH. This space used to be a Starbucks but it has nicely been transformed into a modern sleek coffee shop. I placed my order and waited for my drinks. I noticed there was a robotic arm busy working! How interesting! It's called a Wingman Cobot... this one is Tom. He pulls shots. You can watch him from start to finish. Then the barista takes the shot to assemble your coffee beverage. My lattes looked lovely with the nice latte art. I enjoyed my Spanish Latte with condensed milk, roasted hazelnut, espresso, and cinnamon! It was a tad bit sweet, so I had hubby add more coffee to it when I got home. You can get tea, matcha (also tea, I know), and lemonade here. What I find interesting is that they only make & sell one cup size of hot coffee. They sell cookies and pastries but none have a price on them. It would be nice to know even though it seems to be the norm at a lot of smaller coffee shops! There are a few seating options inside as well as the communal patio outside near the fountain. I would definitely consider a return visit! I'd like to try the bada fog or hojicha.
I'm a sucker for a good mocha -- I will literally drive across town for one So when I say the mocha at Bada Coffee exceeded my expectations... I mean it really exceeded them. Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced -- not too sweet, not too bitter -- just chef's kiss from the first sip to the last. If you're a mocha lover like me, this spot is 100% worth the trip. I've officially added it to my "must-return" list
I have passed by this coffee shop quite a few times and finally had the chance to stop by. The parking was easy and the indoor aesthetic minimalist in a positive way. It isn't the largest coffee shop I've been to but there is outdoor seating by the fountain and a few places indoors as well. I could see how this shop could get super busy because it's located right next to a high school. I was warmly welcomed into the shop and my order was taken promptly. Upon recommendation by the barista, I ordered an iced Spanish latte and a Matcha cloud to enjoy. The Spanish Latte had a slight sweet touch and the coffee was not overpowered. The Matcha came with a crème top that complimented the matcha as well. Both drinks were well balanced and not overly sweet. Being a person who likes to frequent coffee shops, my overall experience in regard to service and ambiance are positive. It was also interesting to see a robot pull my shot instead of a person (yes, really). The quality of the drinks themselves were also good. If I lived closer, this local coffee shop would be one I'd be a regular at.
Small vibey coffee shop! My first time going I was pleasantly surprised because the quality of the drinks were GREAT for a decently normal price! Especially for a good FLAVORED (I got mango) matcha drink I was very happy. I was hesitant to try the mango matcha at first but it was soooooooo good I totally would recommend and will be getting it again. They have a few seats. Communal table (no outlets though), a small counter by the window next to an outlet, and lots of outdoor seating in the courtyard. Plenty of parking in the lot and a bathroom for customers. Great wifi and i got some work done on my laptop here! It was so fun and delicious! They opened up last summer and im so excited to see them grow. I hope they expand the indoor seating. Can't wait to come back :)
Good coffee, nice location. Bada Coffee replaced Starbucks that used to be at the corner. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking and next to South High School. There's seatings inside which is nice for students to study after school. I ordered iced mocha ($6). It was pretty good. They put a lot of ice in my opinion for like 12-16oz cup. They sell lots of delicious looking pastries. Was getting big lunch so I skipped trying them out. They have robotic arm that makes the espresso! I would come back again. It has modern, nice interior which is welcoming. My dentist place is in the same plaza so convenient to stop by afterwards.
Came here to grab some matcha before heading to the beach! There's lots of parking in the plaza mayor. There's plenty of seating inside and outside by the beautiful fountain. The staff was friendly and kind. They had a cool robotic arm that makes coffee or matcha? Wish I got to see that in action looked so cool! I ordered a matcha latte w oat milk, i know very basic but the heart wants what the heart wants! The matcha was so good! Perfectly umami and nutty and not too sweet :) I will be back again for sure to try their other drinks.
Not bad! Its Bada...lol. I like the change from the franchisey Starbucks to this more modern café take and the mood here is more of calmness and simplicity. I enjoyed my Bada Fog drink. It was more like a dessert! Will be back to try more items.
Had the Hojicha Latte, Iced with whole milk. It was delicious! This drink came out in about a minute, no joke. Open and spacious cafe with a cool espresso machine and good drinks!
One of the top lattes I've had, and the best Maple Oat Latte I've ever had. What makes this one stand out vs other coffee shops is the consistency. It was noticeably smooth and airy - in a really good way. That's the best way I can think to describe it. It wasn't overly sweet like other maple lattes I've had too. Everything about it was just harmonious. The staff was kind and walked me through the menu as it was my first time there. Interior seemed clean and modern. When I went, all the indoor tables were full but there isn't too much seating there. I was able to sit outside on the tables there. Can't wait to try more drinks.
Stopped by on a Saturday morning for matcha with the kiddo. First of all, the layout is more spacious than you'd expect. Minimalist and modern coffee house vibe. Then you see the robot arm ripping espresso shots at the espresso bar. Very cool experience and a a glimpse of the future. Staff is friendly and efficient. Now to the important part. I ordered a hot matcha latte. Had the option of sweet or not. Went with sweet and it was perfect. Great balance of matcha flavor popping through, with a sweet finish. Rich and frothy. 10/10. Daughter got an iced strawberry matcha. She rated it a 9/10 but also finished it before we were out of the parking lot. I had a sip and it was great. All in all, great spot to pop in for a high quality caffeine boost. Worth your hard earned dollars. Will be back for sure.
I am OBSESSED. Visited this morning and ordered two drinks to share -- an iced Americano and matcha cloud. Both were fantastic. I'd recommend and order both drinks again. The staff were very kind and welcoming. The design is minimalist but very nice. I appreciate the modern aesthetic interior design. The pricing is also reasonable. No complaints here ! read more
Such a cute cafe-- Love the aesthetic and design of the place! We ordered the maple oat latte and maple oat hojicha, sooo delicious!! And it was so fun/interesting to watch the robot arm do its thing. The workers are friendly and the drinks come out pretty quick! Highly recommend if you are in the area! read more

Love there coffee! Definitely recommend to get the maple coffee with the cold foam on the side. It's definitely a coffee that isn't too sweet or too bitter which is delicious. The overall coffee shop is a vibe it self inside and outside. read more

Nice chill ambience with friendly baristas and a robot making espresso, but the execution overall was very poor. Our flat white had a terrible milk pour. They also put their house cream in a separate paper cup for us to pour ourselves on top of our iced latte, which was odd. Most cafes do this themselves. I'll give them a second chance as everyone messes up sometimes and they may still be working out some kinks as a new place, but it was a disappointing first experience. read more

Tried this place on a whim today after seeing the rating and it did not disappoint! I got the maple oat matcha and the matcha is incredibly smooth and full of umami which I love. Also got the chocolate croissant which was solid too! Service is incredibly kind and needless to say I will be back. Pricing is pretty fair and the inside is pretty cute as well l. read more
This new coffee shop located right next to South high has a cute look to it and actually has a robot that helps make the drinks! Their menu has a good amount of drinks with a few specialty drinks. They also sell pastries. The few times I have been, there wasnt much of a wait and they make the drinks fairly fast. I got the bada fog and matcha cloud and I enjoyed both! The bada fog is a sweet espresso drink with a thick cream top! Its definitely in the sweeter and creamier side of coffees. The matcha cloud is also on the sweeter creamier side since it has the cream top as well. If you like sweet/creamy drinks I would recommend these! read more

I had no idea a new coffee shop opened in the location that Starbucks was in. Glad I grabbed a coffee here. It was so creamy with a silky texture. Nice sweetness that didn't overwhelm the taste of the coffee. My thoughts as I walked out with my new best friend, I want to work here and learn how to make this cup of joy! read more

First off, the robot barista is cool! The ambiance is clean, modern, simple, relaxing and inviting. I tried the Bada fog and it has just the right amount of sweetness and caffeine, of course the barista said we can always ad. I want to come back to try matcha cloud and have my kids watch the robot in action. I'm so glad there is a new coffee shop in South Torrance. read more

My boyfriend and I visited Bada Coffee on a Saturday morning. We have been wanting to check this place out as it's close to where I live. Bada Coffee is located inside the Calle Mayor Plaza on PCH next to Torrance South High School. I believe Stone Cold ice cream used to reside prior. Why this place? It has a robot barista that makes your coffee. The final mixtures are handmade by the people. It is amazing to see the robot in person; the food and drinks were amazing as well. We ordered two pastries and two drinks. I got the Strawberry Matcha and my boyfriend got the Maple Oat Latte. Both drinks were fantastic! The flavors and sweetness were just right and not to mention the pastries were delicious. We chilled at the place and enjoyed ourselves. I really like the ambience of the coffee spot - spacious and bright. I highly recommend visiting Bada Coffee!! read more

Took my dad to the doctor's office, and I saw this new coffee shop next door. They didn't have any pastries yet, but the worker said that they would soon. The menu is pretty small, and I thought about getting a regular latte, but I decided to get the fog since it was labeled as their signature drink. I was surprised when they started making an iced drink since I thought it was going to be hot - the menu doesn't really designate it - but the worker said that it was really good, so I went with it. Omg, this drink is soooo good! It has Vermont maple, milk, and cream on top with a shot of espresso. I may ask for another shot next time because I like my drinks stronger. The cool thing about this shop is that they have a robot arm doing the espresso shots. It gets the beans, then the shots, and moves it on the counter for the employee to pour into the drinks. Very cool to watch! read more

Bada coffee is my favorite in the South Bay. I usually get a vanilla latte but their maple oat latte is top tier. Also the sparkling mint lemonade for something a little different. So good. Super quick. Fair prices. Cute outdoor area to sit. All in all a great place. read more

The hojicha latte was really good! You can even watch a robot making espresso, which is super fun to see. The matcha latte had a bit more milk than I expected, so the matcha flavor was on the lighter side. read more

What a pleasant surprise! My day took an unexpected turn when I had to take someone to the urgent care, and while waiting, I spotted Bada, coffee. I forgot what used to be there before. It looked busy (always a good sign!, so I decided to pop in. The aesthetic is very clean, modern, and minimalist, with a nice little courtyard area that's perfect for enjoying the California weather. I ordered the Orange Blossom latte and it was absolutely delicious and refreshing. The spinach pastry was also decent. I had to do a double-take when I spotted the robotic arm making the espresso shots - now that's different! It was cool and futuristic to watch. The only reason I'm taking off one star is due to a safety concern. The barstool chairs are extremely light and slippery against the floor. I could easily see someone not paying attention, going to sit down, and having the chair slide right out from under them. I hope the management looks into adding some rubber grips to the bottom of the chairs. Despite that one issue, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience was fantastic. I will absolutely be back the next time I'm in South Torrance. I can't wait to work my way through the rest of the menu. read more

I love Bada Coffee!!! I've ordered the Bada Fog, matcha, maple latte, and hojicha latte and I've loved them all! I like to get the drinks at half sweetness and they're perfect. Ambiance is great with lots of outdoor (with shade!) and indoor seating options. Staff and service is so quick and polite, it's always a great experience coming here. Definitely worth adding to your list of go-to coffee shops. They even have a robotic arm that pulls espresso shots! read more

I ordered the bada fog and it was absolutely delicious. I can see why that's their most popular drink. My husband tried the Spanish latte which he liked, considering that he's a bit picky. Along with our beverages we ordered pastries. We ordered a chocolate croissant and a spinach with I believe feta pastry. I'm not sure the exact name as the young lady attending us recommended that spinach pastry. Which I'm so glad she did the bread is sweet and not too crumbly. It complimented the cheese and spinach well. The robot is super cool, definitely different than most coffee shops and the plaza they're located in is super calm. Overall I cannot wait to go back! read more

Hi there! I love trying new coffee shops and I was wondering if you sift your matcha prior to using a bamboo whisk? :)
Hello Genevieve, thank you for reaching out! We use ceremonial matcha from Uji, Japan. We prepare our hot matcha by precisely measuring, sifting, and using a traditional bamboo whisk to froth the matcha base. For our cold matcha beverages, we use…
