I'm currently in Texas and found this small restaurant to eat at. Found the restaurant to be laid out like a back yard,like the name says. Indoor picnic tables with paper towel rolls in the middle. Service service and food are like that a Dickies restaurant if you all know what that is. The brisket was very tender, Smokey and flavorful. It was also very moist and with their barbecue sauce it was very very good. I also had the pulled pork which was some of the most tender pulled pork I ever had melted in my mouth the smoke flavor came right through.My third meat was the sausage which was kind of like a kielbasa texture.I enjoyed it very much. The other platter was pretty similar to the one I had but it had two meats it was the brisket and the chicken. To me the chicken was very good to my guest it was kind of dry. Overall I really enjoyed the restaurant the service was very polite and efficient. They were always there when I needed them. Most of the side dishes are off the menu due to 'supply problems', meanwhile the ingredients are definitely available at the grocery store. One of us ordered a hamburger, it was a burned, tough puck on a very doughy bun. Chopped brisket sandwich was tasteless. They even failed on the french fries, underdone. Nasty political statement on a sign out front. This place used to be a lot better. We will not be returning. read more

Found this spot because of yelp! We were driving through belton and looking for a place to eat and this gem came up and we were not disappointed! The food portions were HUGE and delicious! We got the meat basket and the chicken tenders! SOOO much food! It was all so good. Also they had a ridiculously cheap margarita deal that day also! The owner's have made it known that they dont care about the health and safety of their customers. They posted a sign to the window stating that masks are "optional" (incorporating an attempt at humor); even though over 400,000 Americans have already died from COVID-19. I mean, if you're dining in, of course you can't eat with a mask on, but the kitchen staff were not wearing masks while preparing the food. I'm just as sick of this pandemic as everyone else, but we all have the responsibility of keeping each other as safe as we can! Horrible experience today and it's not the first time this has happened. They do not know how to staff the place. The entrance is very tiny and does not allow for more than a couple people to wait without completely blocking the exit. Anyway, we waited a good while at the check in without anyone acknowledging our existence. There were multiple empty tables but they were all in terrible need of bussing. One staff member walked past us on multiple occasions and even politely would excuse herself for doing so....but never asked us if we had been helped or to put us on a wait list (when we just wanted to eat at the bar). You also aren't able to grab anyone because there is no uniform to determine who is staff and who is a customer This is just disappointing. The food is really good but the staff isn't. read more

We are from Round Rock. We went here today after the Summer Fun Waterpark. First it took 30 minutes for her to bring out the BBQ. She never explained what happened or why it took so long. Our son ordered a corn dog and it was FROZEN!!! The brisket and sausage was room temp. The tater tots looked like they were heated up from the night before. I wish we just would have left. I was on a road trip and saw that this place would be not far out of my way around lunch time, so I decided to give it a go. As it was on a Sunday, it was one of the only BBQ joints open - I am glad it was. I was the first one there right when they opened. I decided on the two meat plate with sliced brisket and a pork spare rib with beans and potato salad as my sides. Brisket: Flavor - 4 / 5. The brisket had great smoke flavor and was the perfect combination of lean meat to fat for my tastes. I prefer a little more seasoning on the outside, personally, but overall great flavor. It vanished into my mouth all too quickly. Tenderness - 5 / 5. I used my fork to gently pull the meat apart - no knife required. The texture was perfect. Pork Rib: Given the excellence of the brisket, I was a little let down by the pork rib. It was not bad, but nothing to write home about. 3 / 5 Sauce: The sauce offered was a vinegary tomato type sauce that had just the right amount of tanginess. I really enjoyed it. 4.5 / 5 Potato salad: This was probably some of the best potato salad I have ever had. It had flecks of cheddar cheese and just a hint of sweetness. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been the addition of some egg (personal preference). 4.5 / 5 Beans: The pinto beans were average bbq joint fare, with a good texture, but a little lacking on flavor. Nothing a little more of that great sauce couldn't fix. 3 / 5 Value: The price for my plate was $9, which, given the quantity and quality, I considered a good deal. 4 / 5 Overall score: My score averages out to 4. I would not hesitate to go out of my way to stop by here again. As a final note, I found they make their own sausage on site, I would like to try that on my next trip. read more

My wife and I work ridiculous hours, we don't order food for deliver much at all. In the past we've had horrible experiences with pretty much all food carriers especially " FAVOR"!!! We decided to order out tonight since we felt we earned it. Chose this establishment from google. Literally across the lake from us. Unfortunately once again our food was short! My wife's order was delivered and all I got was my side salad?!?! Yes of course we were upset. Turns out the order was not complete upon pick up for the driver, at this point it really doesn't matter to me who the fault lands on, I just want my dang dinner! Fortunate for us Chelsea the manager ( sorry hon if I spelt that wrong) was amazing!!! She offered a refund and offered to drive my missing plate to our house. I wish in the past any of the restaurants that failed us were this amazing. Sure enough she showed up with my dinner and even re-made the whole thing in order for it to be fresh. Friendly staff, casual ambience - it really feels like I'm at somebody's family barbecue, but with the most amazing food and service! Tried the brisket, pulled pork and chicken plate. It was enough to share, but the hubby ordered the half portion of the "Bubbatater" and we switched to give all the flavors a try. Average BBQ. Average attention to details. This BBQ I've been too probably 5 times. We finally pulled the plug on this place. It was always just "okay". We liked the prices compared to other places so I suppose you get what you pay for. Food was cold, said they'd microwave to reheat. Fries are prepackaged. Meat is chewy. Lacking passion with flavor. Staff was friendly. First time we've ever ordered something and notified the waiter that we were returning our food and leaving after a few bites. Loads of dust everywhere (Don't look up!).
