Found this spot because of yelp! We were driving through belton and looking for a place to eat and this gem came up and we were not disappointed! The food portions were HUGE and delicious! We got the meat basket and the chicken tenders! SOOO much food! It was all so good. Also they had a ridiculously cheap margarita deal that day also! The owner's have made it known that they dont care about the health and safety of their customers. They posted a sign to the window stating that masks are "optional" (incorporating an attempt at humor); even though over 400,000 Americans have already died from COVID-19. I mean, if you're dining in, of course you can't eat with a mask on, but the kitchen staff were not wearing masks while preparing the food. I'm just as sick of this pandemic as everyone else, but we all have the responsibility of keeping each other as safe as we can! Horrible experience today and it's not the first time this has happened. They do not know how to staff the place. The entrance is very tiny and does not allow for more than a couple people to wait without completely blocking the exit. Anyway, we waited a good while at the check in without anyone acknowledging our existence. There were multiple empty tables but they were all in terrible need of bussing. One staff member walked past us on multiple occasions and even politely would excuse herself for doing so....but never asked us if we had been helped or to put us on a wait list (when we just wanted to eat at the bar). You also aren't able to grab anyone because there is no uniform to determine who is staff and who is a customer This is just disappointing. The food is really good but the staff isn't. read more

We are from Round Rock. We went here today after the Summer Fun Waterpark. First it took 30 minutes for her to bring out the BBQ. She never explained what happened or why it took so long. I was on a road trip and saw that this place would be not far out of my way around lunch time, so I decided to give it a go. As it was on a Sunday, it was one of the only BBQ joints open - I am glad it was. I was the first one there right when they opened. I decided on the two meat plate with sliced brisket and a pork spare rib with beans and potato salad as my sides. Brisket: Flavor - 4 / 5. The brisket had great smoke flavor and was the perfect combination of lean meat to fat for my tastes. I prefer a little more seasoning on the outside, personally, but overall great flavor. It vanished into my mouth all too quickly. Tenderness - 5 / 5. I used my fork to gently pull the meat apart - no knife required. The texture was perfect. Pork Rib: Given the excellence of the brisket, I was a little let down by the pork rib. It was not bad, but nothing to write home about. 3 / 5 Sauce: The sauce offered was a vinegary tomato type sauce that had just the right amount of tanginess. I really enjoyed it. 4.5 / 5 Potato salad: This was probably some of the best potato salad I have ever had. It had flecks of cheddar cheese and just a hint of sweetness. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been the addition of some egg (personal preference). 4.5 / 5 Beans: The pinto beans were average bbq joint fare, with a good texture, but a little lacking on flavor. Nothing a little more of that great sauce couldn't fix. 3 / 5 Value: The price for my plate was $9, which, given the quantity and quality, I considered a good deal. 4 / 5 Overall score: My score averages out to 4. I would not hesitate to go out of my way to stop by here again. As a final note, I found they make their own sausage on site, I would like to try that on my next trip. read more

We were seated in 15 minutes and ordered drinks. we fell in love with the sweet tea, the waitress had a hard time keeping our glasses full we were gulping it down so fast. But we loved our waitress! She helped us with everything and cheered on our friend as he faced the challenge! So the second time we were in town we heard this place had a food challenge. We liked the prices compared to other places so I suppose you get what you pay for. Food was cold, said they'd microwave to reheat. Fries are prepackaged. Meat is chewy. Lacking passion with flavor. Staff was friendly. First time we've ever ordered something and notified the waiter that we were returning our food and leaving after a few bites. Loads of dust everywhere (Don't look up!). Went today for the first time for my birthday lunch with my mom. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer. They were extremely crispy. No pickle taste at all. I ordered the bacon ranch burger. Probably the best burger I've ever had. The onion rings were good and my mom liked her meal (grilled chicken). The service was non existent. Never asked how our food was or checked on us after we got our food. Drinks weren't ever refilled. It wasn't even real busy. The servers were just standing around.
