I managed to order this food Togo and the service was ok, nothing that stood out, the environment reminded me of an small town bar . Still pretty cool but nothing special, just a spot for locals to congregate at or meet up and have a good time. Now the food..... we ordered the brisket and loaded potato to go. The brisket was not good to say the least i would actually call it trash.... Now that potato the potato is top 10 I've had in my life!!!! I've had plenty of loaded bbq potato's but this one is def in top 10 i would even say top 5! If in the area i would say definitely try this potato with the bbq sauce it will change you perspective all together!. All in all i give this place a 3/5 but that's only due to the brisket being a 1.6/5 and potato being a 5!

We pass Backyard on our way to fish all the time and finally decided to stop in. I was really surprised by the inside, I think I was expecting a walk up and order setup. We really enjoyed the vibe, even sitting in the bar area. The waitress/bartender was very friendly and helpful. I like that the menu has lots of options other than BBQ plates. I had the Famous Bubba Tater and husband had the chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak is probably the best you can get the area; the breading was unbeatable. Both plates were generous portions and everything tasted great. Can't wait to go back!

First impressions - they have a big parking lot, plenty of seating, a nice bar area, and the general vibe was cool. It's a BBQ place that's very comfortable to eat in as opposed to grabbing food to go. Despite being called Backyard BBQ, they don't have much of an outdoor eating area, but there are some picnic tables for outdoor eating. They were playing some good jams but the music wasn't too loud to have a conversation. We ate at the bar and I had a sangria. It was pretty good! The bartender was also serving tables and she was friendly and took good care of us. She made sure we had extra BBQ sauce and paper towels before our food came. On that note, food came out pretty promptly. We both ordered plates with a variety of meats and sides, so we ended up trying the brisket, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, potato salad, green beans, and mashed potatoes. The brisket was fall-apart tender but did not have much flavor. It needed salt and extra sauce. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The ribs were boneless, which is weird. I've never ordered ribs at a BBQ place and received boneless ribs, and I feel like it should be specified when you order. But, the ribs were good. Pulled pork was also good. Neither blew our minds. Mashed potatoes were good. I'm pretty sure the green beans were canned, but they were pretty good canned green beans! I like that there are so many menu options. I don't always want BBQ, and usually if you're at a BBQ place that's all you can get. If someone is craving BBQ, you can go to Backyard BBQ and have non-BBQ options. I think we'll come back because it's close and it was pretty good. It just wasn't great.

Good food. Great service, But please, keep politics out of your establishment. "Trump" sign will entice me to go elsewhere. Your beliefs? Fine. Apolitical is the way to go in the business world.

Fried Onion Ring Burger with Fries! Delicious!

Backyard BBQ 05-29-24 Nice open country atmosphere. Friendly people. My family ate dinner here and the food and service was exceptional! I had the Fried Catfish Basket with a Side Salad and Thousand Island Dressing! The fish was hot and crispy with plenty of flavor. My daughter had the Hand Cut 16 oz. Ribeye with a Sid Salad with Ranch Dressing. The steak was cooked just right. It wasn't overly seasoned and tasted great with a little salt added served with a side of Green Beans. My grandson had the Fried Onion Burger with Fries. The onion rings on the burger gave it a tasty crunch and extra flavor. Fries were crispy on the outside and hot and soft on the inside. We had an order of Fried Mushrooms with Ranch! That's my favorite. We got a half Smoked Chicken to go and tasted it when we got home! It was moist and tender with a smoky flavor. Our waiter was totally Awesome! He was right there if we needed anything and made sure our drinks were full. He had our to go order ready when we finished our meals. Overall, today was a 10 out of 10. We will definitely be back!

Ranch Hand Sandwich

We went to backyard BBQ after kayaking and boy am I sure glad we did! We had the Bubba fries as an appetizer and I had the Ranch Hand for my entree. Both were very good legit 8 out of 10 BBQ. The ranch dressing was also really good. No prices on the menu which was... interesting. Final bill was fairly inexpensive. Will stop here again! Amazing food and great staff!

Large and unnecessary political signage.

I was excited about coming here when my friends suggested it and I saw the menu online. Everything looked great. And I'll just say, walking in and seeing a large (5') metal trump sign staring down at me was not too exciting. Or appetizing. Politics and eating shouldn't be forced together. But back to the food. Can things that are supposed to be crunchy taste good but be...mushy? Hmmm.... I got chicken fried steak, onion rings, and mashed potatoes. The steak looked good but wasn't crispy and was pretty tough. Definitely needed the steak knife. And I got the "large," and it definitely was not. The onion rings might have been cooked in cooler oil than was needed. Again...looked good, but mushy. I will say that the prices were very reasonable. I was really looking forward to some great home cooking. Didn't really find it. Won't be back, sadly. One and done.

Everything we had was delicious! Hometown atmosphere. Good service. When we're in Morgan's Point, it's our go-to restaurant.

I like the Coleman sandwich for cheap and a brisket sandwich. Not to heavy but hits the spot.

We were the only ones there for awhile so I was getting nervous as to why lol ... but the place filled up pretty quick . They had some giveaways on the Super Bowl, who doesn't like free stuff ! Nashville hot wings were HOT and bangin!!! The pulled pork fries were good too !! Our bartender was quick and friendly , the manager came around a few times to check on us and she was cool as well. Decent beer selection. I'd come back another time as they have a lot of beer, some mixed drinks and what seemed to be a pretty big menu ! Big place. Lots of seating. Lots of TVs. A huge 4 section 1 at the bar for game time

My Think Pink drink was good, but overpriced. They don't have prices on the cocktail menu, and this felt more like a $9 drink than the $12 it turned out to be. My husband's beer was very well priced, I thought, at $6.50 for an IPA. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It wasn't tossed in buffalo sauce, just unevenly drizzled on top so the full sandwich wasn't covered. He asked for a side of sauce to finish the job and we were charged $0.50 for it. He was also charged $0.50 for a side of ranch for his fries. In general, I just don't agree with charging for condiments. I had the Alehouse Burger and it was fine. It had a bacon tomato jam so I thought it would be okay without condiments, but it was dry. It needed pickles. None of the burgers on the menu had pickles. Burgers should have pickles. We weren't given a kid's menu when we were sat, so I thought they didn't have one (it's a pub, I get it), and I tried to just order a side of mashed potatoes for my son. Our server was cool with it and was able to ring it in (because she later had to take it off the ticket) but the kitchen told her they don't serve individual sides which is very odd to me. You have a button for it on the POS, you can serve a side on an entree plate, so just put that amount on a side plate. It seems like a very easy way to cater to your customers. The sun really shines through those back windows in the evening. Some pull down shades would be a huge improvement. It's a beautiful view, but not when the sun is setting and blazing into your retinas. Overall, food was mid, prices were a little too high across the board, service, as always, was great.

Big building with spacious dining areas, outdoor space, and the pickleball courts of course. There's also an upstairs area that's exclusively for members. The interior and exterior design is exceptional. Very clean and pleasing to the eye. Welcome to All - not just pickleballers! High end liquors with experienced mixologists. Great cocktail list. Wine list was pretty short but had some good bottles on it. Brunch food was good. The breakfast croissant sandwich was hard to handle and fell apart but tasty. The Southern Poutine was hearty and comforting (sausage in lieu of cheese curds) The bartender was exceptional-knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive. Would love to see a broader wine list with greater range. Was disappointed they didn't have the fireplaces on especially since it's been so cold. A nice fireplace would have really elevated the experience by adding a cozy atmosphere. Also, they have a fruit fly problem.

About server was nice and attentive even though we were the only ones outside at first. That said, overall we were nickel and dimed for everything. It really felt like they just want money. If a 14 year old wants to order off the kids menu, they charge an extra $4, but it's not an adult portion, it's the same amount of food they just want you to pay more. It makes me not want to bring kids here. Also, if you're eating and the pickle ball courts are empty, there is no discount for playing pickle ball, and they make sure to tell you that you will be charged while you eat your meal. The courts are empty and they don't have any reservations for them, but they need their money. We were told they would provide paddles and balls, so we didn't get ours from the car, and then we were charged for them. I love eating at great restaurants, but when a restaurant nickels and dimes you..it feels cheap.

It has been open longer than I have been alive. This is a very local hang out with many very close regulars. But they don't bite. As I am moderately amused by most things in life, I like the chill ambiance. Rustic with operational doors, soap dispenser and hand towel machine for the ladies restroom. Yes, that's a big deal. Things to know: 1) Beer only but.... 2) BYOLiquor and get charged a fee for it? Or there's soft drinks you can purchase? I have not really ever figured that out. 3) There is nothing over $4 and there is a Thirsty Thursdays discount. 4) The jukebox plays everything but be careful what you pick! Some songs just shouldn't be played here. 5) There is one pool table and it does get used. 6) They do gladly accept cash but you can pay by credit card. 7) If you're looking for barbecue, it's a tan building to the right of Honeycutt's as you're looking in from Airport. 8) You can eat your barbecue here.
