Just looking for a newer BBQ place to eat at in Texas. i had the moist Brisket sandwich with Mac and Cheese, mac and cheese was luke warm not hot like aI expected, Meat was a little fatty to eat through but again first time so will try something else next time we are there. My wife had the Pork Loin sandwich and there was plenty off meat for the sandwich so we took some home for our Fur Baby. She had the Potatoes with Cheese and scallions. Potatoes were also like warm and the cheese did not even melt on the potatoes, The potatoes were done but could have been warmer in order to melt the cheese. Overall the food was decent, albeit a little underwhelming. While the meal was sufficient enough to satisfy my hunger, it did not leave me wanting to return any time soon. The brisket was not as tender as I expected, particularly from a restaurant that highlights brisket as a specialty. The pork ribs were even less tender, the meat was difficult to pull off the bone. The mac & cheese was ok, but the flavor was not good enough to compensate for it being lukewarm. Moreover, everything was a bit too dry for my taste. We have eaten there several times and enjoyed the friendly, quick service each time. The breakfast tacos with brisket are excellent. The brisket with eggs, cheese and potatoes is savory and has a perfect touch of smoke. The brisket is solid, and the pork fits quite nicely. This is not a Millers or Franklins Brisket but it is tasty and equivalent to Rudy's BBQ at a really reasonable price. The place is clean and comfortable. read more

Brisket was tough so half of the portions found its way into the garbage bin and the bbq sauce didn't help at all. So, not such a great first impression from the food perspective. I got a chopped beef sandwich and was pretty excited about it. I paid $13.99 for a sandwich drink and chips. The meat was so dry it tasted like beef jerky. It was burnt and my bread was so greasy that I had to take the bread off. I ended up throwing the whole entire thing in the trash. Haven't been inside the establishment but could only imagine the type of environment it is proposing. I ordered the 3 Meat Plate with double Mac and brisket and i must say i have had better. The first time trying this place i had some of the best brisket ive ever had from a restaurant but the last two occasions have been nothing more than mediocre... the jalepeno sausage was the best/ most consistent thing this place has . But a major issue was whoever was on the smoker on 10DEC24 or night of 9DEC needs to go back to the basics with "LOW AND SLOW" ALONGSIDE with whoever was on the Mac , that person needs just a tad bit of ALOT of salt pepper and other seasonings found at your local dolla general. Excellent value for the money. This joint started out in the Austin area and has evolved into a chain restaurant. Very respectable quality all things considered. If Rudy's BBQ had a little brother, he would be Mo! Ordered a jumbo baker loaded with some very nicely smoked brisket. Finished it off with a slice of Pecan Pie. The pie didn't need the sugar glaze on top. And it was a little runnier consistency on the filling than I lilike, but to each their own. Easily the worst brisket I've had in the last 5+ years. It was dry, no flavor and definitely not a moist cut. Potatoes were pretty good.

The young man that greeted us and took our order was very nice and personable. We both had the two meat plate, brisket and ribs with sides of potato salad and cream corn. The sides were very good cream corn especially was very tasty. The brisket and rib came out medium temperature. They both got cold awfully quick. We eat there 5/31on a warm day. They both tasted ok. Brisket was tender as was the rib. They seemed to both be seasoned with a great amount if pepper. I tried both the mild and the spicy bbq sauce they also we just ok. read more
