This morning I stopped in for a bagel, and was very impressed with the timely service, it was clean and cozy.

4.5 stars to be exact on the knathan-knows-best bagel scale. I think this is my fave spot in Seattle for fresh, warm, gooey interior, crunchy exterior bagels. Runner up to Whidbey Bagels and Mount Bagel in Cap hill. The very nit-picky deets for me are the schmears are not my fave- a texture that is a little stiffer than I prefer, the plain is not the best- but flavored ones are worth trying. I got the scallion once and it was my fave. But still...just kinda not my fave. Another ding (for me) would be the lack of sweet options- no cinn/raisin or berry options, which for the morn and for kids can be a good alternative. However their jalapeño cheddar is AMAZING- one of the best I've had. Great crisp on the bottom and the right amount of heat with the jalapeños- sometimes I feel like the heat is given a back seat in other bagel places, but they let it shine. The sesame is a star bagel- with a great salty accent. The everything is not my fave, I love burnt onions, but I feel like the ratio is a little heavy for my liking - not as balanced. The interior is hopping, clean, and the staff are always friendly and moving the line. Parking sucks, bc it's Fremont. But I can't know them too much for that. read more

First time. Stopped by to pick up an early weekday lunch for a starving student friend at 11:30am. ONE type of bagel: Sesame. I asked if this was unusual. "Yeah, normally this doesn't happen this early." I get out of line and text my friend who says "Garden Party" sandwich on sesame. I love bagels so obviously I had to make the trek here to see what the hype is all about. The bagel is very light/airy and the shmear is also very light- you don't feel gross or too full after eating one. The lox was $16 and it was good but definitely not worth it for me. Bagels were great and the whole experience from checking in to getting our food was pretty seamless. I like the plethora of options for the cream cheese shmears and ended up going with the fall fig on a salt bagel. It's a pretty light fig flavor so don't expect anything punchy or super flavorful. I also got the lox on everything and it was delicious! Very good quality smoked salmon and loved the pickled red onion that they dress it with. read more

when I was handed my first BB bagel it was still warm in my hand. It tasted like the freshest bagel I have had thus far! So fluffy yet dense, and generous amount of seeds, i was in a bagel heaven. I was surprised by being impressed by their cold brew. Normally I don't get coffee from places that don't specialize in it but when I saw the beans they were using I knew they take their coffee seriously too! The cold brew is so tasty. They partner with a local company, so props to that as well. We love local :) read more

THE BEST BAGELS IN SEATTLE. We came right before it got busy and seats were limited but we got the best seat in the house. Employees were extremely nice and every flavor of cream cheese and bagels were labeled. The store was nice and cream. They offered free water. We ordered two brooklyn lox. One on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and the other on a poppy seed salt. I love that it didn't come with capers and they did not skimp on the cream cheese. The yard sauce was incredible! It's tastes like the sweet onion sauce from Subway! The eggnog latte was seasonal so hurry if you want it! I don't recommend the iced matcha latte. I didn't taste any matcha whatsoever. It tasted like straight up milk. The bagels really made up for the matcha though. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR BAGELS! read more

Wow, the bagel sandwiches are certainly pricey here but I do think they are worth it. I shared the lox one with my friend and it was delicious. We also tried the sesame bagel with the fig cream cheese which was alright, the cream cheese ratio could have been better. This little bagel shop offers delicious bagels with mostly traditional toppings. I tried the onion, the everything, and the sea salt bagels. I also purchased the chive cream cheese spread. The bagels had good thick crusts with generous toppings, and the bread inside was light and airy. They were very fresh and very good. I enjoyed the chive topping as well. These were bagels to enjoy, to look forward to, even to travel across the city for. They are bagels to have alone with the day's first cup of coffee, or to spread out on the table for guests with an assortment of topping options. Love that we have a sort of breakfast place in our little Fremont neighborhood! I only wish they had a gluten free bagel so I could join my partner in their enjoyment on slow mornings here. 2.5 stars. I don't know what happened in the last 4 months but we just waited a little over 30 minutes for 2 bagel sandwiches with less than 4 people in front of us. The total was nearly $35. Absolutely Horrible--Save Your Money I am so confused about everything going on with this place. They seem to be very popular and busy but I can't for the life of me understand why considering how bad my experience was. I was originally super excited to try this new trending place out, and the bagels looked amazing, but the experience and taste were severely lacking, leading to me never go back or recommending this place anyone. Bagels are not toasted. Like another commenter mentioned, not having a toaster at a bagel shop is insanity. Getting a warm bagel is luck of the draw based on how fresh your bagel is. I guess my bagel was old so I got a cold overly salty bagel. Every bite was so salty to the point that I couldn't even taste my schmear. My friend even got a different bagel with different schmear that was warm but again severely overly salted. My friend also found a hair in her bagel which is gross & unsanitary. Orders did not have people's names or order # on them so orders easily got mixed up. Customer service wasn't friendly when this happened and he made the customers feel like it was their fault. I was so frustrated and hungry that I had to go somewhere else to actually enjoy a warm, edible bagel. If you want a real bagel, do yourself a favor and try Old Salt Fish & Bagel instead. Backyard Bagel is not worth your time, money, or patience. read more

Seattle sure loves bagels! I visited on their first Sunday open in Fremont and the line was down the block. The wait was about 30 minutes, but I imagine the service will speed up as the staff settles in. The staff still seem to have opening day jitters, which is totally fair! I tried the sesame bagel with blueberry cream cheese and the everything bagel latte. The bagel was delicious and nicely salty and very flavorful, and I loved the texture. The everything bagel latte was nice to try and has a strong sesame, almost tahini like, flavor. The only thing that was disappointing was the blueberry cream cheese; while the color was great, the flavor was lacking and quite weak. I do want to go back and try more of their bagel offerings but I wouldn't get the blueberry cream cheese again. This location only has street parking and is near the 5 bus route. It is within walking distance of the Woodland Park Zoo and Rose Garden, so they'd make a great breakfast before visiting the zoo or light lunch option. read more

So glad to have another fantastic bagel spot in a city that didn't have many just a couple years back. This for me stands as the best bagels in the area alongside Whidbey Island Bagel Factory. The real test for me is I prefer my bagels whole and only great bagels are good that way and I scarf these down. I was pretty skeptical on yet another bagel place but I'm glad I tried it for myself this weekend - mini haul was from the Ballard farmers market! I was originally going to get two and I was contemplating between the sesame and garlic as my second choice (first choice is always EVERYTHING) and I asked the lovely lady at the stand and she said why not get both? Fabulous idea and done! Someone give this woman a raise. I went with the lox schmear to go along with the three bagels. The schmear was so perfectly creamy (definitely tastes handmade and not that Phillys tub) and my only wish would be that it would have more pieces of lox! Test of a great bagel? Try it untoasted. These did not let me down - perfectly chewy on the outside with the best inside crumb. Not too dense but not too airy. It took everything in me to not eat all three bagels in one sitting. Not sure if the hot Cheetos bagel is a weekly offering but I was super intrigued and now regretting not getting (damn my healthy gorl Sunday farmers market vibes). I'm sure it is phenomenal. It was warm when they brought it to me. It was so good that between my drive from backyard and the zoo. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that Aaron's Bagels has the best bagels. The inside of their bagels are so, so soft, and I was able to enjoy them both toasted and untoasted (which I personally think is quite the feat). We got a tub of their lox schmear, and wow, their fresh cream cheese is so delicious! It was some of the fluffiest, freshest cream cheese that I've ever had. I got them delivered (via their website), but they're also available at a few local cafes and Ballard farmer's market. We'll definitely be getting bagels from them again soon!! read more

Got there shortly after 9am on a weekend. Line wasn't too bad. I agree that the shmear they apply looked thin, so I got a separate one. The bagel was still warm even after taking it home.
