We tried Baci during Dine Out Vancouver & it was a very good deal...food & service all good. We happened to be there when a group of newly minted Canadians were celebrating their citizenship, which added to the celebratory ambience

They only serve special menus on weekends. Packed place when we got there (probably because of dance night), and waited around 20 minutes before server came. Bad first impression already. Special menus feature 3 courses. The food was just so bad, it tastes like something I could easily make. Appetizer bread was too crumbly, veal was not tender, and tiramisu was way too sweet. Will not be coming back.

Amazing service. Just moved in the area and loved the food. The waiter was very attentive and kind which added to the whole experience.

Fine dining prices without the food to match. To start, the bread in the bread basket was a bit stale and uninteresting. We tried to order mussels to start but they were already out of them even though it was only 5pm. The seafood linguine was good. The pasta and sauce were done right, but the seafood itself was mediocre. The one mussel in the dish was delicious. I would have preferred a few prawns or large shrimp instead of a bunch of tiny shrimp. Some tender calamari slices would have also been nice. The spaghetti with meatballs was heavy on meatballs for any carnivores out there. However, the sauce was sour and not very balanced.

Lovely ambiance - we came when 2 birthday parties began to arrive. There was a dance floor and they have live music starting at 9. The service was so timely, efficient, and quick. I came seeking for vongole and it did not disappoint! The only note is that food can be seasoned a bit more but my vongole had more than enough clams!!

We came here for the first time as they are participating in Dine Out Vancouver- we each opted for the 3 course meal for $35. Our waiter was very on top of it- he was very helpful when we asked for wine, protein addition and pasta suggestions. The food is well priced but their cocktails are a bit steep- $9 for a single shot. My fiancé had the Caesar salad, Linguine Del Pescatore and tiramisu. The waiter made sure my fiancé was aware of the sauce which jt came with (it's a basic olive oil, herbs and garlic) and provided the option of a tomato based sauce instead if he preferred. However, my fiancé had it the way it comes and was very happy with it. There was a good amount of seafood throughout. I myself had the Caprese salad, Gnocchi Ai Tre Formaggi and creme brûlée. The caprese salad was very good. The gnocchi (which I added shrimp to) is not the best I've had but was a solid 8/10 the only complaint I have is that the sauce was quite salty. I told the waiter this and he explained this is due to the three cheeses being used- no extra salt is added. He offered to get me something else instead but I said it was fine, I just wanted him to be aware. He still went above and beyond and brought me an extra side of what I think was Alfredo sauce and adding this to my pasta really did help cut down the salt! I was very impressed with his service. Desserts were good but nothing over the top amazing. I appreciate that the tiramisu is more of a cake than a pudding and it did have good flavour. The creme brûlée could have been cooked a bit more but was still tasty. Overall, we would return based on the great service and good food at realistic prices.

Surprised at the 3.5 start rating Wow, we're talking 5+ here Lovely atmosphere Very attentive service Good wine Good prices Good parking in back I'm coming back Good portions Live music on weekends Dance floor

We did the Vancouver Dine Out event at Baci with a couple of friends. We have been to Baci before and we've never been disappointed with the food. The $35 menu had decent choices for the 3 course meal. We chose salads, mains & dessert All the food items were good. Atmosphere was very nice . The only complaint I am going to make us the location of the bathroom, it is located downstairs otherwise a lovely place to have dinner.

There are not a lot of places that offer dinner, live music and dancing. Great ambiance. The prices are high for the quality. It was good but nothing special. But they do have the music and dancing. No craft beers on tap. Wine was very pricey.

Mood lighting and soft music, and nice white table Napkin service. For the price and quality of food..you can't go wrong here. Tons of free parking around too. The sauces weren't thick but light and right. The pasta however was not homemadeC except for the ravioli. The carbonara was a good copycat of the Roman carbonara, but with a bit cream. Nice sorta open kitchen concept, where you see the Italian maestro at work. Looks like an Italian grandpa to be honest. My fav dish was the seafood one with fish and shrimps. It was loaded with generous pieces and finished perfectly with a touch of white wine and vodka sauce. The pesto one was also good. Not too overpowering, with a touch of crème fresh. The burrata was also so good. Freshly made and complimented by a nice drizzle of olive and balsamic. Another winner is the house bread which you can keep in asking for. Hot off the oven and comes with olive oil/balsamic dip. So hearty and good. Service was efficient, although our server seems to be wanting to rush us. Constantly hovering and asking and taking plates away. I get it's the holiday season, but there were so many tables available. I like the location as it's not that far from DT and parking is safe and plentiful. Ambiance is like an old mafia restuarant where Gino is in the back and the soprano is eating right at the table next to you. Yes, i would repeat and try the other entrees. Cheers! Happy eating!

Bolstered, we proceeded to order the rest of our meal. For appies, we had meatballs, caprese salad, and garlic bread. The meatballs were dense yet tender, and the tomato sauce they were sitting in was perfectly balanced. The caprese was solid, nothing mind-blowing but it was fresh and tasty! For mains, we had the prawn risotto and scallop pasta. We spent the whole meal debating which one we liked more, because they were both top notch.
