Great spot with nice service and a dog friendly patio

Great spot with nice service and a dog friendly patio. The pizza is great and it's a nice lunch stop IMO

I booked this place foe a birthday dinner for 4 people. We all enjoyed our evening. Service was great and the food delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the tiramisu as it was too soft and sweet for me. Others enjoyed it. We started with the housemade focaccia, warm marinated olives and whipped ricotta tapenade. All very good. For our mains, I has the chicken parmigiana and added on the pasta. The chicken was good but the pasta was fantastic as it was chewy and the tomato flavour peaked out sweetly. Next time, I will come just for the pasta. Others ordered mushroom ragu (so deep with flavour and hearty. My second favourite of the evening), linguine ai gamberi (loved the lemon essences coming from this dish), and rossa pizza. The pasta dishes were cooked so well that I surely will be coming back. The décor is minimal but very cozy with the white and wooden textures. The bar with the ladder is very pretty. There is a patio but we opted for indoor seating. Free parking out front or on the side streets

Wow! Drove past this location many times going into Vancouver or heading out of town but was pleasantly surprised when I met for a meeting over lunch here. Food was amazing and service prompt and attentive. Pasta was so delicious, spaghetti Carbonara was fantastic, pizza was amazingly flavourful, and the whipped ricotta was delicious. Did n't have room for dessert but I will be back for some Tiramisu.

The setting is chic with outdoor sitting. Must be good for summer day get-together. Ordered tuna bruschetta and duck pappardelle. Bruschetta is very good, but pappardelle tastes a bit bland. On the service, well, no one came over to refill water or anything.

Booked a reservation for Saturday night. Staff were very friendly and we got seated right away. Looked fairly busy so I would highly recommend booking a reservation if you were looking to visit on a weekend! I ordered a whiskey sour which was very refreshing. For appetizers: My friend and I split the carrot salad and warm burrata with pesto. Carrot salad was okay.. the carrots were in chunks and all different sizes so I felt the cook of the carrot was not concise. Some were cooked and some were raw and extra crunchy. Burrata was pretty good, honestly nothing too special.. I'm not sure if I would order again. For my main: I ordered the braised short rib pasta. Flavour was really good. They make the pasta fresh, unfortunately majority of my noodles were all stuck together so it just felt like I was eating random long chunks of dough. Maybe it was just this one night? I'm not in a rush to go back but maybe I will try this place again down the road!

    Daily antipasti board

The service is great, and I like the atmosphere but unfortunately the food was a real disappointment. To start I had their meatballs and daily antipasti board which had chicken live mousse (the only thing that I loved that night), olive tapenade, pickled onions, potato salad, barley salad. For the mains we shared the duck and risotto with scallops which were both disappointing. The chicken liver mousse was amazing but other than that the antipasti board was meh. I give 1 extra star for the chicken live mousse and would come back just for that (and drinks). There was too much olive tapenade. The portion of the meatballs were more than I expected, good bang for your buck. I wish the duck had more flavour, it felt like it was seasoned with just salt. It came with some gnocchi which was overcooked. The risotto was a true disappointment. It did not feel like risotto, taste like much, and had 3 scallops. I had to eat the meatballs with it.

Came here for my cousins rehearsal dinner. It's a cute little restaurant with a nice ambience for sure! You can tell it's a local Italian spot with nice low lighting and a good wine list. I love the easy decor inside it's very simple and modern. The food was presented really nice and it had some good variety on the menu. The salads were not bad and the pasta was ok. When I eat pasta I want it to have layers of flavor and it didn't really have that t almost lacked a bit of salt. The pizza was ok we had the margarita pizza which had huge chunks of mozzarella that sorta flopped in your mouth piping hot and the rest of the slice was all sauce. The sausage and pepper pizza was a little better but I'm not a big fan of sausage on me pizza I like it served otherwise (haha jk) Anyways the food was ok The environment was really nice

Fiore is in the middle of a huge residential neighborhood - we were wondering if we were in the right place and lo and behold, we walk upon Fiore at an unassuming intersection. The interior is modern and beautiful - I commented that it felt like an Instagram-worthy wedding reception spot. RESERVATIONS: Made for a Thursday night for six people at 5pm just the day before. THE SERVICE: Friendly, and it's a small space so they are always there when you need them. THE COST: $126.75 before tips for dinner for two, a bit on the pricey end. THE FOOD: COCKTAILS * Averna Sour ($12) - 5 stars Delicious, everyone at the table was impressed, & this had a lovely dense yet smooth texture from the egg white. SMALL PLATES * Chicken Liver Pate ($14) - 4 stars Flavorful & tasty. For me, you can't go wrong with pate. * Burrata ($20) - 3 stars Not as fresh/stretchy as some other burratas I've had, but it mixed well with the marinara sauce. ENTREES * Pappardelle Bolognese ($23) - 3.5 stars Sauce was great. Pasta was made in-house and fresh, but it was quite thick and was too al dente. * Risotto ($11) - 3.5 stars Cheesy and dense, with good flavor. The texture was a bit too mushy for me - the risotto a little overcooked. DOLCE * Blueberry Panna Cotta ($9) - 3.5 stars Lovely fresh blueberry flavor, but this was more pudding-like than a panna cotta.

We had a lovely birthday dinner for two at this neighborhood venue. Service was spectacular. I can't say I've had service stand out to me like this in a long time. She was knowledgeable about food options and food was delicious. Price point is on the hugher end so I will return on special occasions.

As the name suggest "Famiglia", once entering the space you are transported into a dining room setting that is engulfed in children & adults' laughters, clinking of wine glasses, mothers calling their kids names to bring them back to their meals etc. Reservations Recommended!! We did so and we were seated against the wall with a full view of the dining room, with the Kitchen & the Bar on the left and the "Families" on the left. Items ordered: Red Beets $7.00 4/5 stars Great combination of texture and flavours of the beets (poached to the right tenderness)and its accompaniments; the whipped ricotta lends it's creaminess to the slightly tart balsamic dressing, finished off with a crunch of the pistachio. Simple, you might say, but it takes skills to produce this balance!! Beef Carpaccio $12.00 4/5 stars Beef Fillet with just the right marbling sliced paper thin, topping the House Made Focaccia, the sweetness of the beef melts into the bread like butter! Perfect match to your choice of wine! Pappardelle Bolognese $19.00 4/5 stars I swear there is an Italian Mom in the kitchen! But I did learn that both Chefs were guys! Oh well, I still think "Mom" made this! The rustic, honest, homey feel of this dish is the quintessential essence of Italian Cookery. Pasta is hand made, and cooked to perfection; meaning Al Dente, the sauce coats each strand of noodles, with a highlight of Pecorino, yum!!. Not over powering with any one of the ingredients but all meld together in a symphony! Puttanesca Bianca $18.00 4/5 stars The crust was baked to perfection; i.e."well done" with the base being cooked thoroughly and still maintain a slight chewiness! Toppings are layers of mozzarella made from cow's milk, which gives it a lighter background flavour against the bold saltiness of the White Anchovies & capers. Overall, a welcoming space for your family or friends to get together for a comfortable, relaxed, casual evening without having to cook in the kitchen! Maybe, one day you will hear a voice calling out: Mangia! Mangia!! and you too will swear there "is" an Italian "Mom" in the kitchen! Final Score: 4/5 stars Verdict: Raccomandata! The food was quite decent. I thought the prices were a bit inflated for just pasta, but the portion size was pretty massive -- most of us took leftovers to go. The sauces in general were a bit bland and the pasta was definitely cooked to beyond al dente, which isn't my preference for dried pasta. That said, the toppings were generous, especially for the linguine crab that I ordered (would highly recommend!). Come by before they close permanently!

My friends and I recently shared a few dishes here, and while the flavors were truly impressive,…read morethe portion sizes left us wanting more. We started with the complimentary bread, which was a total highlight. Each person gets a fresh slice that has an incredible crust and a soft, pillowy center--dipping it into the oil and vinegar was the perfect way to start the meal. For our mains, the Gnocchi Asparagi e Funghi was my favorite - the gnocchi themselves were clearly handmade and had a great texture that didn't feel heavy. The earthy mushrooms and asparagus worked really well with the parmesan cream, which was rich but didn't overpower the other flavors. The Squid Ink Linguine ai Frutti di Mare was also solid; the lobster bisque base gave it a deep, savory saltiness that coated the clams, prawns, and scallops perfectly without making the dish feel too "fishy." We also tried the Candele Al Ragù D'Anatra. The duck ragu was tender and savory, and the combination of the parmesan fondue and aged asiago added a nice, sharp saltiness that made every bite really satisfying. Everything we ate was seasoned perfectly and tasted fresh, it's just a shame the portions were so small because the flavors were definitely there. The service was excellent and very attentive; I especially appreciated that they were constantly on top of refilling my water throughout the night. The ambience also hit the right note, making it a great spot for a night out. However, the portions are definitely on the smaller side and aren't super filling. Even though every dish tasted amazing, we weren't full by the end of the meal, so it's something to keep in mind if you're arriving with a big appetite.

The restaurant was cute, cozy, and could seat us right away so we decided to give it a try. We got the poached pear salad and enjoyed it! The pears were delicious and a very refreshing salad. It did come with burrata on top which was a bit disappointing since it wasn't gooey at all. For our mains, we split the pesto rigatoni and the special which was also a rigatoni with white wine, capers, shrimp and lemon. First off, the noodles are delicious on both dishes. They are clearly handmade in the best way possible. Very tender, delicate, and almost melt in your mouth. The pesto dish was perfect but again the burrata on top was disappointing since it was sort of tough/dry and not gooey. The special dish was very good but the lemon was quite strong. Initially it was a bit too much but it did grow on you over time and I did like the dish. We ended with a tiramisu and while it was delicious, there wasn't much of the bread/cake/cookie part as it was mostly cream. Overall, it was fun to try a new place but I expected a more for the price point. For $35 per plate plus salad and dessert it was a very expensive dinner and we weren't full.
