Babe's is one of our go-tos, we go often and the food is always wonderful! We love their specialty pizzas (esp. the BLT, Taco, and Cheeseburger) and salad bar. It can be hard to get through on the phone some nights, but it's definitely worth the redials. read more

I was out of town with my family in the area and we wanted pizza. We came across this place and decided to give it a try. Since we were in such a small little town I was almost expecting for the pizza to be not that good. Surprisingly the pizza WAS really good. We ordered the combo with half white sauce and half red sauce (my daughter will not eat red sauce) They actually made a mistake and made the whole pizza red sauce. They offered to remake it, but since it was getting late we did not want to wait for a whole new pizza to be made. Instead they made my daughter her own personal pizza with white sauce. That seemed like a good way to resolve the problem. Im not sure that I will ever be in the area again, but if I am i would definitely come back. read more

Ordered 2 calzones and a gluten free pizza. The calzones were good and a good value. The gluten free pizza crust was your average gluten free crust hard and burnt on the edges. So if you are ok with gluten good food otherwise just alright. Service was good for delivery. read more

I love the pizza here! Heaps of toppings and cheese! I ask for no italian seasoning on mine, seems a little much. They put cheese on the toppings which helps hold the toppings on the pie! Babes is a true family pizzaeria with truely fresh ingedients, excellent recepies, and great service. The offerings of many pizzas with a myriad of toppings is common these days, but few places have as good of sauces or use produce as fresh. Their salad bar is also a prime example of great quality, even if the options ae e a bit more limited, you know it will taste great. Try their calzones some time for a FULL meal or two. Their local and national beer options a nice, and if you get there between 4 and 7, the happy hour discount applies. The local wine options are also generous, but I have not personally tried many. Babe's Pizza is a great place to have a family lunch. We go there often and always find the food and service exceptional. They are especially kid friendly. We use the back room when we have a lot of the grandbabies with us. They never seem to be bothered by the noise or the mess. The lunch specials are fairly reasonable and include a personal pizza, a trip to the salad bar and a drink. The other day I had the meatball sandwich for a little change and it was delicious. Ordered a calzone for take out today. First, the calzone was extremely small. I went back inside after paying for the calzone to get a salad as I knew it wouldn't be enough to feed two people for dinner. I got home sat down at the table and after eating some of it, my husband and I realized it was not at all what we ordered. We called Babe's to let them know of their mistake. They lectured us that it's their policy that you have to bring back 1/2 the food in order to get a refund. So there was nothing they would do to remedy the situation if we did not drive all the way back there with 1/2 the meal. We brought what we had left back and asked to speak to a manager. Apparently there are no managers available on Sunday. The lettuce was also covered in dirt and our salad was nothing but gritty bite after gritty bite. They were extremely rude, never apologized and acted like we were the inconvenience. They offered us $4 or to remake it, but you know what happens to orders like that... Very disappointed with the service here. I was visiting my bestie from college and took the little guys here. They had a special for the weekend that my friends knew about for 1 XL 2 toppings pizza and get a pepperoni. Sounded great... After a long day of the kids playing we decided to go here on our way home. Apparently the special was changed the week before but definitely wasn't updated on the website. The young gal at the counter was totally indifferent and almost rude about it saying that "A lot of people are happy to have the special change." I certainly don't believe that. I purchased a 1 trip salad bar and while getting salad, heard several (at least 4customers come in and on the phone trying to order the special just to be told it wasn't available anymore, even saw a customer walk out. While I can appreciate that things change, for my friend's local pizza place that they frequent all of the time, this was seriously disappointing. The little ones were looking forward to a pepperoni, which we purchased anyway and adults a pie too. Also charged us full price for the beer even though it was supposed to be happy hour. So what would've cost about $45 cost about $70 + for 2 pizzas and drinks, so approximately $15 per person. I gave a 20% tip at the register and the gal at the front didn't even provide us enough plates. When I walked up to the front to get boxes for our leftovers after having to get another plate and our utensils she smirked and wanted to know what it was for!?! I told her for our pizza and the rest of my salad. She looked at me then literally walked past me and started bussing a table. One of the other nice young ladies there, Brandi I believe, ended up bringing me boxes while she just ignored me. brandi was great!!!! My family and I live in a serviced based city, and I'll l tell you that stuff doesn't fly here. I always make it easier on folks serving as far as gathering all wrappers, napkins, putting condiments back, stacking plates, etc... I've been a server myself and have been in customer service as well for my occupation for decades. Just unacceptable... Her ATTITUDE was epically bad and I'm still thinking about how that was the worst I've been treated at a restaurant in a long time. At least the kids enjoyed their pizza, they're not old enough to recognize the rudeness by one person. Awhile back (maybe a year ago) I had a piece of vegetarian pizza from Babes at my son's house. It was really good. Since then I have moved close to Babes and finally got to try it myself. The crust and toppings were okay. The sauce was blah and hardly any of it on the pizza. My daughter has tried their pasta and pizza a couple times and was disappointed. She said the sauce was bad tasting and lacking enough of it. Did they change recipes or are there only certain things that taste good. Or did I just get a piece on a day when a better cook was present? Who knows. Unlikely to go again. read more

My family and I have ordered the stuffed mushroom pizza from Babes for years. We love it! If a bacon and cheese stuffed mushroom sounds delish to you, this pizza is 10x better because it's on wonderful crust and has their famous BLT mix sauce to boot. Sooo awesomely delicious. My son and I have eaten here several times. I would have liked to give it 5 stars because the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable, especially for the specials. However, it is definitely the most un-vegetarian friendly restaurant I have eaten at in Humboldt County. When their special has a vegetarian option, it's fine. However, if the daily special is one with meat, they are incapable of, or unwilling to, do a vegetarian version. This means that even though meat is generally a lot more expensive than vegetarian ingredients, you are paying 20-30% more for something that cost the restaurant a lot less. The employees are also really rude when they explain this. Not recommended for vegetarians or for people who generally expect friendly and competent service. read more

Knowing I am the Pepperoni fan my husband always orders extra extra Pepperoni and Babe's always does just that. Best pizza in the area hands down. I've worked making pizza, I've tried most the pizza in eureka, arcata, trin, McKinleyville and Babe's takes the cake! You don't even need toppings just have a cheese pizza, you won't regret it! I recommend cheese but if you want toppings order an extra large 2 topping pizza and they throw in a free small or med pizza for free. They also have a rewards program. I highly recommend this place. Customer service (with new owners) is very poor by the higher ups. We were told 45 minutes for delivery. An hour and a half later the delivery guy (who was very nice) was just driving up. We called Babe's and said that we waited twice as long as we were quoted and we'd appreciate it if they just refunded the delivery charge, especially because if we would have been quoted that long originally we would have just picked it up. The person on the phone said "we can't do that". No apologies for the long wait, no care for customer satisfaction. It was annoying. Other people we know have complained of the same thing. Never a problem with the previous owners! We frequented Babe's about once a week, but we're going to find ourselves a new Pizza joint. read more

My husband and I have been loyal customers of Babes Pizza ever since we moved to Eureka (Cutten) in 2004. we usually order take out and have never been disappointed until today. Every once in a while we will order 1 root beer float and sometimes I like to order an extra cup of ice cream and snag a bit of my husbands root beer to add to the ice cream. Today when I called to place our take out order I was told they won't sell ice cream alone. I tried to tell the young lady to just charge for the root beer but she interrupted me voicing that they won't sell ice cream separately. I mentioned that I've been allowed to order like this in the past to no avail. I know you're thinking "just order the root beer float" but my answer is, "I'm on Weight Watchers, regiously count points, never keep foods I can't resist and save points for pizza day". We will still order pizza and pasta from Babes because they are the best but their customer service as far as keeping this customer happy is lacking. read more
