I got a mani and pedi all during my lunch hour. Mani Gel and spa pedi. Loved the massage chair. My mani Gel came out great except the lady was a little hurried due to time and she cut my cuticles. I've done two pedicures here and I actually enjoyed both experiences. Not the best of locations right next to Big Lots and it's not fancy inside either, though. Service was typical... I wasn't and usually don't expect much since I'm not a diehard mani/pedi person. I do enjoy the massage chairs! Imagine getting a massage for 20-30 minutes while someone works on your feet. Can't beat that! The first lady that did mine (too bad I don't remember her name or face) was really patient and gentle during the cleaning. The second lady was persistent and a bit tougher, but she still did alright. $17 spa pedi + $6 for callous removal. They also charge extra $1 if paying with a card. read more

My friend and I came in earlier today to get holiday theme manicures for a Christmas party coming up. The lady who did my nails (Nancy) didn't do such a great job. I asked for red nail polish to be the base and then add gold on top, but she suggested to have it French tipped. However, it didn't look very neat and I asked her a few times to adjust certain nails. She even added extra coating which eventually smeared and I highly doubt you're suppose to add more than the recommended amount. I ended up paying $13 for a poorly done manicure which another lady had to redo some of my nails because they smeared that terribly. Also, my friend asked for a full set, but the lady who did her nails somehow gave her a cut on two fingers (one from her long nails and another from the tool). I love love love this place! I'm not into the fancy nails. Just a good'ol gel manicure and pedicure. They don't try to up sell which is the best part...at least to me! Nancy is my person. She takes such good care of me. I get extra care on my feet. Yeah sometimes she can hurt me but she does the best of the best cleaning when it comes to my feet! When she does my manicure she makes sure to soak off my gel rather than shave it off with her machine and ruin my real nails! The other two ladies are great as well...I'm taken care of differently by them but still a great job. But Nancy....she's my gal! This place is just a good old fashion/basic nail salon. read more

The place is clean and since I am somewhat of a regular i'm treated like a queen. i've had some toe surgeries and being diabetic, i have to be really careful about what is done to me. I really enjoy this place! I have been to Nanci twice already and has done a great job both times. She takes her time doing my manicure and makes sure the color looks great. I have always been skeptical about gel color because of previous experiences, she convinced me to try it again and I did and was not disappointed! And for $25 for French tip gel, not bad at all! Horrible!! The worst customer service I ever experienced in my life! I decided to stop by since I live literally across the street and no one greeted me at all. After standing there for at least 30 seconds a nail tech lady says "what do you want?" Really? I left immediately with a thumbs up. I suggest going to Jenny's nails. This was the worst nail experience to date; for my pedicure the spa water was cold, I told the nail technician it was cold and ignored comment, she was very unfriendly, no eye contact; worst of all she cut my cuticles and pulled on my toe nails to trim. If that wasn't the worst, the other nail technician who did my manicure cut my cuticles on both hands and five days later I can feel the sting on my fingers. When I said you cutme; sorry??? I am very angry and will never return to this salon. I would regularly get my eyebrows waxed; never more. I used to go to Ava's a lot (4-5yrs ago) and can't say I ever recall a problem. I moved and started going to Exotic Nail in La Mirada, but today since I was in the area, I cheated and went to Ava. Long story short, I went against my better judgement. My sister told me the last couple times she'd gone that they were really rough on her nails. I should have listened. My big toe is still very tender from my pedicure today and I should have spoken up when I felt the woman really digging in. I took it as she was being very thorough, and maybe she saw something that needed to be removed and clipped away. I'm regretting it, and will never stray again from Exotic Nail. Ava is nice inside, the color selection is GREAT, but just too tough on my tootsies. Sorry Ava. read more

I understand why some people say they don't have the best customer service here, but let's not include Nancy! Nancy is the sweetest and the ABSOLUTE BEST at pedicures. I'm giving best place 2 stars only because yes we might have come a little later they didn't have to take us they did they agreed that a bad attitude and then for a very simple job and she tried to charge me $67 I've never paid that much for a fill and a pedicure and it wasn't even a design it was just a rainbow nail polish not a big deal and if I was going to have to pay $67 she should have done the Ombre nail that I wanted to be done and I came out okay but they had a really s***** attitudes and I won't be coming back and as a hairstylist and being in the industry it's best to treat your clients very well because in the long run you make more money than of them returning than just overcharging for one time read more

I gave this place 2 stars only because the employees were friendly. But thats the only reason. I got a full set. And I hate the shape of them. They dont fit my nails. Much larger then they are suppost to be. I told her and she said she would file them down to right size. As she was applying the acrylic. It was just dripping of my fingers. I have never seen that ever happen. And as she finished with all the filing. I told her not to paint them. Because I knew I was gonna have to shape them myself. When I left I realized how terrible they were done. Not only do they look way to big. They arent even on my nails correctly. The tips are not even on the tips. They are glued on the mid point of the nail. And glue upwards were you can see my nail up to that point. Which is BAD BAD BAD. Eveything will get trapped under them. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.
