If I could rate this salon less than 1 star, I would. I made an eyebrow appointment for 5 PM. When I arrived, at 5 I informed Danny that I made a 5 o'clock appointment with Yvonne for eyebrow waxing. He immediately went to the room where eyebrows and eyelashes were told and told Yvonne that I arrived. I was instructed to wait because I would be seen soon. I waited over 30 minutes only to be told that I would have to wait at least 30 minutes more, because Yvonne took a client in at 4:45 PM and the room wouldn't be available anytime soon. If I booked an appointment at 5, I would not take in another client at 4:45 knowing that it would clash with another appointment time! Not only was I never seen, but nobody apologized for their lack of service and communication. I will not be going to this salon for eyebrows, nails, or any other service they provide. I would also like to mention that Yvonne is one of the owners of this establishment and handled the situation very poorly. read more

The worst nail salon I've been to on top of other nail salons I've been to. 1. They couldn't do an upside down V shape design! Two nail techs couldn't do it and they gave me the name of an expert nail tech that Is there on Tuesday's like I ain't going back I don't need anybody's name! 2. Coats were messy! 3. My sisters nail came off not even one week after! 4. Went in at 10:30am Came out at 2:47pm just figure out a nail tech to do a freaking upside down V shape only to change my mind about the design! Like why couldn't they just be honest and told me from the beginning they dont do shapes or that they have an expert nail tech that is there on Tuesday's! And they only took off $5 from the total after waiting nearly 5 hours!!!! And I still tipped them $20 because it was two ladies who did my sisters and my pedicure and it was the best pedicure I've ever had in my life! But I ain't never going back again for my nails!!! 5. My video and my sisters pic will speak for itself how their stones don't stay on! And nails don't last! And how messy and just horrible the results came out! I love this place I've been going there for years to a hiatus cause I couldn't have artificial nails and now I'm back I know that they changed management but the new team is part of the old team and I still love it here they do great work. Everyone is so sweet and they don't screw with you with pricing it's one price when you walk in and it's the same price when you walk out no nickel and diming you. So many other places start charging you two more dollars for this three more dollars for that by the time that you walk out you spent $20 more than you wanted to not this place. read more

I went here with my cousin because she wanted her nails done for a wedding and I wanted a pedi. I saw this place from IG and my friends would say this was a place to go to. So I tried it out.... We had an appt at 12 and got there 10 mins before and they sat us right away. This is where I got disgusted.... So she starts working in my toes and using one of the clippers on my feet. Then just throws them in her bowl. Then another lady comes up and complains about her toes and she grabs the same clippers she used on me and used it to cut her nails....then quickly puts alcohol on it and puts it back in her bowl. Cleanliness in their tools is what they are lacking of but the whole place in general is nice. My cousins full set with gel polish was $34 and they didn't even put enough layers to show the real color of the polish. Her neutral beige color ended up looking like a wanna be French tip because of the acrylics. My spa pedi was $18. I was kinda just forced into the chair I wanted a regular pedicure cause I didn't really need the spa part but oh wells. She did an okay job, looking closer after I left I saw that she didn't even paint my whole toes. Like she just dabbed it in there. Will I come back, probably not. Was thinking of going back to get my nails fixed but I'm sure they're just going to talk crap and complain so no thanks. Just moved into the Buena Park area, and this was a great location since it's right next to the gym my husband goes and like 5 min from home. I'm always nervous about going to a new nail tech , I'm sure every woman understands this LOL. But I'm glad I stopped by here I paid $70 for small square acrylic regular color nails, eyebrows wax, pedi and gel color on the toes!! They were fast and did a great job! I forgot the names of the two women who Took care of me, but my pedicure tech was great! She helped resolve my ingrown nails problem and my toes feel so much better no pain LOL! They also were very welcoming people, definitely will be going back . read more

I love my nails!! So I've been having Tyrone do my nails for about 7 years now? I've been coming to him since they owned the Norwalk location. Since he's at the la Mirada location I followed him. Love love love his work. I'm very happy with his wife Yvonne's work as well. Great prices & it's easy to do a walk in during the week. Also they do accept card credit cards and are able to add your tip to the bill as long as you let them know when your paying. read more

Talk about an artist . Yvonne does all the amazing designs you see on Yelp & IG. I've been coming here off & on for 2 years. It's expensive and most of the time worth the money. I've had tips w/ acrylic, gel over my natural nails, and acrylic w/ gel. They've all looked really nice. So where's the BUT...here you go, if the shop is extremely busy I noticed the quality of my nails isn't up to par. Also, their pedicures aren't great just average. I like leaving knowing ALL of the dead skin on my feet is completely removed, which isn't usually the case here. I took my mom here this week for a manicure. A friend of mine told me to check it out as they are one of the few places in the area that do gel nails. My mom was very well taken care of. They spent 50 minutes doing gel polish and the owner checked in a few times making sure it was being done correctly. $22 for gel poish. The place is clean and service is great! I love the work they do here. When I came as a walk in it took probably 10 minutes wait then I'd sit down. But when I have an appointment when I get there on time I expect to get started on pretty quickly (unless they tell me they are running behind I get it it totally happens) But when I know that it takes me less than an hour to get my nails done for a fill and gel nails If I have a 10:30 appointment I shouldn't be finally sitting down your chair at 11:30 because I had to get it up and complain and tell them I was running out of time with my babysitter at home. I called specifically asking what time he starts and I would like that time slot which was 10:30am So he basically took somebody else five minutes before my appointment. I'm not stupid. I told him that I asked for his 1st morning appointment and I expect to sit right away that's why I asked for the first appointment because this is not the second time this is happened to me but it's the THIRD time (where I had wait almost an hour after my appointment to finally sit down in the chair) and the last time and was the day before my wedding and I was getting my wedding nails done. My biggest complaint about this place is apparently they can't keep their appointments in line and when they run behind they are not sorry at all multiple times. I work in the field where I work with appointments also and I would never do that to somebody not be apologetic about it, even if you're not sorry be professional. read more

Where do I begin??? Ok, so I decided to stop by after working out next door at 24 hour fitness yesterday. I usually go to a place in Cerritos, but didn't feel like making the drive. I came in and noticed that nobody was there (can be good or bad), but thought, screw it why not. The lady greeted me and sat me down. Red Flag #1: After begin seated, I sat with lukewarm water for about 5 minutes while they chatted in the back. Keep in mind I am the only one in here. Once the lady came out finally she asked how the water was and I asked for it to be hotter. Once she finished adding some water, she lit some incense. Normally, this wouldn't bother me, but the smoke was coming directly for me as it was sat right next to me! I was practically choking on it. Annoyance #1: The lady doing my pedi and the lady doing my gel spoke the whole time. LITERALLY, the whole time. I am trying to relax and decompress here ladies! -_- Red Flag #2: So after putting on my headphones to drown out there chatter and having my shirt covering my nose (I'm sorry I know its kinda rude but the smell was killing me!), the lady doing my gel asks is everything ok.... REALLY?! LOL. I told her the smell is a little strong, but not to worry (they were pretty much done with me). UGH. So during the end of the gel process, I notice the lady didn't allow me to put my last hand in the UV light before she rubbed the acetone (this is a no no). She then used cuticle oil and it looked fine so I didn't pay it any mind. On my way home I noticed one hand looked GREAT and the other looked dull and matte looking. FUCK! I immediately called the manager and he told me to come back and he would fix it. I told him no thanks, the lady clearly did this on purpose (Guess they took offense to the whole incense thing) and that I wanted my money back! He said no problem, come back. I don't live close and I was already home. I went back later and got my money back and he fixed it. DO NOT go to this place.... they will do shady shit! Plus the work is C average at that. read more

I gave 5 stars because of one nail tech: Kevin. I was nervous the first time going here because I hadn't had my nails done in years. I remember my hands always being so sore and burning after getting a full set. However, Kevin was incredibly gently with my hands & nails and did an AMAZING job on the design I had picked from their IG. He even helped me pick out the polish color closest to my dress for the wedding I was in. Foolishly, I thought everyone there was probably this great, so my next visit I did not make an appt. BIG MISTAKE. I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who did my nails because she was GOD AWFUL. I thought my fingertips were going to fall off from burning so badly. The design came out fine, but the polish must have been shitty because it never dried properly and were tacky for about week. They weren't shiny at all. She was also rude, very impatient while I was picking out my color, and started working on another client while I was washing my hands and then made me wait. I was so unhappy.. I went back today and made my appt with Kevin and he was even better than I remembered from the first time. My nails look absolutely incredible, he was quick (in and out w/in 40 mins), and was completely painless. He also tries to actually have a conversation with me, which is refreshing for a nail salon. Went for a PEDICURE AND GEL MANICURE. This place has the worst customer service EVER! The lady that started my nails (sorry I didn't get her name) complained and complained that the previous salon did my Gel manicure "too thick". She was not happy and it was very clear she was annoyed. She did not give them very long to soak and she was very rough. She got the electric file to grind it off. Since they are my real nails, they were getting really hot and uncomfortable ( my nails are weak and super thin now) I finally said, "stop, I need someone else, I don't want you to do my nails". It was very uncomfortable. Thankfully, The lady that they switched me to did a good RUSH job. I am happy with the look and the little rose design she did. That is the only reason I give them 2 stars.They care more about themselves and care very little about the customer. I Guess they have never heard of YELP!? If they keep getting poor reviews they wont have too many repeat customers. It doesn't matter.... I WONT go back EVER! read more

Would never come back to this nail salon ever again. Decided to try this place out because I saw a lot of people recommending it In a post but regret it. The lady who did my nails cut a chunk of my fingernail off when pulling off the old acrylic nail and instead of cleaning up the blood she goes and sticks a new acrylic nail ON TOP of the blood while there was a still a whole chunk of the old acrylic on there. She was being extremely rude the entire time, even when I chose not to say anything after she had cut me. Although my nails did come out looking good, I was disappointed with the service here! The employees were not very welcoming & rude. I did end up calling the owner later that day because my thumb was in pain but that was pointless. He just cut the piece of my fingernail that was left under the acrylic off & told me it would be sore for a few days. He did apologize but the lady that did my nails never did, instead she just stood there telling him things I obviously could not understand then walked away. read more

I have to say...after reading the most recent review..i'm a bit confused who these people are getting stuck with... I went in yesterday as well, on my day off...been seeing all the different pics via Instagram and decided to go, however prepared myself for the worst due to all the "bad press". I was happily greeted by "Kevin" who took me right away - was very patient and talkative. We had a great 1st time customer conversation, discussing designs, pricing, and most importantly availability. Now - keep in mind I went in @ 930am (30 minutes just after opening) and on a Tuesday. He said things begin to pick up between 12-2pm ..& then again from 5pm on. He was very careful with my hands, no scratches, no pulling, no poking, no manhandling, no roughness and most importantly no blood lol He sculpted my nails very well, I love that he was able to do a 3D effect bow, and even said he'd try any design I'd like in the future. I've seen what this kid can do, and with 10yrs experience I dont doubt he could pull it of. The place was clean, had a variety of colored polishes, and pretty much everything under the sun in regards to design accessories. Cost was less then I expected - full Gel Manicure, with design @ $27. Got EXACTLY what I wanted, was absolutely GITTY with my nails, and overall experience. I'm sorry tho, that other patrons have had unfortunate issues with this place...but as for Me..I'll be back for sure and booking with Kevin. read more

A whole new set of acrylics + gel polish + matte polish + a design only came out to $43! Great pricing. This review is for Christine. I was running errands close to this nail shop and was due for a pedicure, so I stopped in to see if they could take me. Christine said she had time. She was kind, and really took her time. I played soccer for years and have had some damage to my toes due to the high impact of the sport. My big toenails do not attach to the bail bed anymore. They also grow thicker and in an odd shape. I explained this to her and she was able to completely reshape my nails and make them look completely normal. I have dealt with this my whole adult life, and quite honestly, been insecure about it. Sh may not know this, but this was such a huge deal to me and made me feel better about my appearance. It may be a small thing, but it made a HUGE difference to me. So, thank you very much Christine. read more
