Don't go this place. This is worst nail salon I ever tried in my life. I went this place to do my manicure for my interview tomorrow. Since I'm working as well, I chose skin-toned color. But the lady who did my nail put different color on my nails without explaining it. Also, she did gel nails which cost more and harder to remove. I tried explain her I just want regular manicure but I guess she only understands very little english. And it is patchy and have bubbles. Plus, while she removed the cuticles, she cut off my skin!! HORRIBLE!!! Tyrone has been doing my nails for three months! He's always is a hurry and rushes even when I've made an appointment and there is no one waiting! I got a fill on Friday, 2 days later on Sunday I broke a nail. I went and got it fixed (not by him) then Thursday I broke another got it fixed that day (also not by him). Then the next day on Friday I broke another!!!! 3 broken nails within 6 days of my fill!! So I tried to tug on my other ones and 5 broke off so easy! It didn't hurt at all, sounded like a cracker breaking! Very weak and horrible quality. He needs to works on his customer service! If I ask for a third coat of polish he says "it won't make a difference, they will only be thicker" when using a sheer polish they're see through, therefore I need another coat. Under new ownership, and definitely makes a huge difference. I've been looking for a legitimate nail salon for years and am proud to say that the search is finally over. To all those who have been here in the past, give it another chance because so much has changed. The cleanliness and order of the staff is so professional compared to all those other salons where not a single person is literate in english. Thank You Yvonne for the most beautiful French Tip Full Set i've ever gotten. She specializes in 3-D nail art designs and it is out of this world the works of art she can create on a fingernail. I'd definitely recommend a full set and 3-d design to any who have never tried, the original 2-d flowers just cant compare once you've gotten the 3-D designs. For the whole shabang mani, pedi, cuticles cut, foot massage, nail designs, and a Gel top coat i paid $65. any other salon i wouldve paid $75 for my nails alone. Since i was getting my mani/pedi for a more everyday feel, i went with a more simple subtle design. But already made my appointment for my vegas trip coming up and i am going to BLING my nails out, Yvonne is such a perfectionist and wont leave you unsatisfied. Just moved to the area and this is a great place to get my nails done. The girls are nice and conveniently next to 24 hours fitness which is a huge plus! The place is clean and they do have a variety of designs there but I like it simple and they accommodate. I love this nail salon. Parking is not that great, but you need to consider the nail salon is literally next to 24 hour fitness, which is always packed. Also, you need to make an appointment for first thing in the morning (literally right when they open during the week or weekends) or within the first 2 hours, otherwise you will NOT get in right away even at your appointment time. Also, don't just do a walk-in, you will wait for hours because they always take those who made appointments. Additionally, during the week is best......weekends are super packed unless you come firs thing in the morning. Their manicures and pedicures are awesome, especially their pedicures! They upgraded on their chairs! The best manicurist I've experienced with is Lilly!! The 1 guy that is there is pretty good too. Sigh. I came here because I have friends who usually come here for mani-pedis and acrylics. I decided to come here to get a fill and I wanted a Christmas design. I know most the reviews rave about Yvonne or Tyrone but I just walked in and got a woman who seated me all the way in the back to the left. She was nice and gentle and thorough! I was already impressed. I showed her the design I wanted and she immediately went to work. This is a 2 star review because it's barely been a week and my acrylics are lifting around the cuticle on ALL my nails. And I also chipped my pinky and I noticed how THIN the acrylic is on my nail! I mean thin is great but I'm just thankful she didn't go thinner. I should go back as I paid $35 for this gel acrylic fill but honestly, I'm not sure. IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN A WEEK PEOPLE. Tyrone the manager who should be proud of his work, did a horrible job on my nails... I haven't had them done in a long time and I called before walkingn in because I knew they closed soon if they had time for a full set, they said yes... I showed up and I waited for 25 minutes. I was the last customer there as others were finishing up and my manicurist seemed like he was rushing through what I was getting, a short full set of nails... he was rough when he grabbed my finger, didn't shape my nails the way I wanted them, didn't clean up the sides or cuticles because apparently I didn't ask for a MANICURE AND FULL SET. I have been going to Nail Studio for about maybe 10 years . I absolutely love this place . My nails stay on and don't lift in between fills about 2-3 weeks . Tyrone does them exactly right every time . Tyrone and Joe are my regulars Joe does my pedicure excellent job every single time and I won't go anywhere else . I've been to this place 3 times. First time was a decent experience, pedicure and full set. My only complaint for the first visit was they kept trying to upsale me on products I didn't want, it's a business so I understand but it made the trip kind of annoying. The second visit was just a fill in, pleasant experience minus not realizing how thick the set was until after I left. It was my fault for not looking better during or before leaving. No biggie. Both times, the lady who sits at the desk as soon as you enter and to the right, didn't seem like a pleasant person but i thought maybe because I was a new client. Now this 3rd visit I walk in, that lady isn't helping anyone so she asked me to sit for my removal of the acrylic. She starts cutting and pulling them off. I'm not a fan of taking full sets off that way but I don't say anything. Then she gets to my thumb which has a tendency to crack down my nail. I tell her it hurts and I'd prefer to get at least that one soaked off, or the very least file the acrylic down really thin first. She catches an attitude and says that it'll take too long. I don't care though I'd rather spend more time then have my nail rip off. Without saying a word she walks to the back, I assumed she was getting things to soak it off. She comes back out and ignores me, starts getting pedicure stations ready and speaks to other customers. I'm upset so I get up to say something when another lady approaches about my nails. She tells me it'll take too long as well. Huge eye roll because they obviously aren't listening or paying attention. I'm trying to hold my composure and luckily the one guy who works there helps me. Great local place for a quick mani and pedi. Their customer service is excellent. No annoying upselling they just show you a list of services and once you pick they don't bug about all the add ons they have, like I have experienced at other places. I always try giving this place the benefit of the doubt. I don't even know why I keep coming back. Even when I make an appointment I still don't get called till 30 minutes after. And when I walk in, forget it. I walked in and only 1 person was in front of me and it took them 45 minutes till they called me. For just a gel manicure. This place is wonderful. I am never disappointed. I love that a pedi lasts an hour+ so I can get good and relaxed. It is truly a spa-like experience, with the leg massage and nice massage chairs. The only thing I would change is to not cut down my nail diagonally on the outside side. I need to specifically tell them not to do that. I have been coming here for years now. read more

I've been looking for a nail salon since i've barely moved down here in La Mirada. I usually go to Brea mall to get them done, but they charge wayy too much and Happy Nails SUCK by the wayy.. Over back where I used to live in Alhambra there's practically MANY nail salons! Well this experience I was surprised..very surprised when u arrived its near LA Fitness and a subway. Very small nail studio when you walk in its like a regular nail place (were they dont stand up or drop whatever they are doing)..it wasnt a nice nail studio didnt have all the upgrade like other nail studio & i was getting worried my nails is going to come out Fcuked up, to my surprised she did a wonderful job she lined up my lines really well (i got a Fill wit pink & black tip) and applied 2-3 layers of gel to make it shinny! and put me under the UV light for at least 5min!! The place itself is not fancy nor they speak much english and they didnt ask me if i was Vietnamese or try to guess my ethnicity; like other places. overall it just cost me 27 bucks that's really cheap to me other places like ES experience charge without my consent its ridiculous!! I havent tried there spas yet im waiting till i wear sandals again. i prolly be back! ps dont accept american express! n they love my really skinny hands..that was alil weird..the guy thinks i had beautiful hands..idk what to think either to be creepy out or be flattered. haha read more

After reading the mixed reviews I decided to just give this salon a chance. First off the staff was rude. I had some young man give me a pedicure. I don't know if they're saving money and by having some young man give me a pedi; and to be honest I'm pretty sure he's not licensed by the state to give any service at the salon. He gave my toes one coat of polish and then said he was done!! I told him it should be two coats. I didn't want to argue I paid and left. So I went back to get my nails done and it happened again. They talked shit about me the entire time not knowing I understood everything they said. They lady was having a difficult time replicating the nail design from their IG page. I asked for the exact same design from their page and she was talking about how picky I was. I got lucky having my first visit be with Yvonne (the owner) by chance. She is so good at what she does and a very nice person! The best nail lady I've ever had. I pay a little more at this salon than previous salons I've been too, but it's totally worth it! Now I go about every 2 weeks and always make my appointment with Yvonne. My mom and I stopped by after she came off of work, and they said they closed at 7 but we walked in and they happlily said they would take us. 1.) Sitting us down, the water for our pedi was cold. My mom asked her, "is it going to get warmer?" She replied "yes" but it never did. Proceeding I got a gel French manicure and a basic pedi. 2.) While she was filing she left my nails uneven, I asked to file certain ones so that they may be even and not longer on one side. She proceeded to file all of them. And even had attitude when I asked. 3.) While cutting the dead skin SHE YANKED A PIECE OF SKIN OFF. I STARTED TO BLEED she tried to blame it on me having "sensitive skin". MY FINGER IS NOW PURPLE AND SWOLLEN. I really hope I don't get a disease from this. 4.) My mom had her skin taken off on only one hand and they wouldn't do the other. They did a shitty job and rushed through it. Overall It was awful especially with my swollen finger. They happily agreed to take us but gave attitude as soon as we sat down. Would not return here. Went on a Saturday and it was PACKED, which I thought was a good thing!! I was very pleased with how my nails turned out.
