They are so detailed oriented that they put a plastic cover over our shoes so they couldn't get wet or spilled on by the water. I went in on a weekday to treat myself for my birthday. I got the Milk and Honey pedicure, because it was symbolic for me. As well as a basic manicure that included a rose petal and lemon slice. They include wonderful amenities like massage chairs, complimentary beverage, and neck pillows! There are towels in the bathroom instead of paper towels which I really appreciated. Everything has detailed touches especially for being in Whittier it is fairly elegant. The women here are welcoming and the men keep it strictly professional. I love that I was able to use a cupón as well! I had an over all very relaxed experience and would love to book another appointment here. Next time what I would do differently is wait as long as possible for the nail polish to dry or get the gel manicure. I was sitting at the nail drying station for a while and once they felt dry I left. However, when I went into Sephora in that same shopping center I noticed there was a large dent in the nail polish! The polish was so thick and didn't dry long enough. It would have been cool if someone checked back and gave me the okay to leave. There were scratches on one of my toe nails as well. Very disappointing experience. The salon is clearly understaffed and poorly managed. I arrived at 5:00 PM requesting a pedicure, and they made me wait about 15 minutes just to tell me that no technician was available. Why make customers wait instead of being upfront from the beginning? My time is valuable, and this was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. If you don't have enough staff to accommodate customers, you should let them know immediately instead of wasting their time. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

I did a walk in today at about 5:45pm. I knew that Milano closed at 7pm, so I was kind of nervous if they would be able to do a mani/pedi for me. As soon as I walked in, I felt the warmth and relaxed vibes of the staff, as well as the environment. I was told a mani/pedi was no problem and was led to my comfy chair. I met Ray and Lee, who were both amazing!! They were totally onboard with my request for black nails with spiderwebs. Ray and Lee were very sweet and did wonderful work. It's beautifully decorated, and I love that they offer refreshments to clients. Prices are standard, but the experience and the staffing set this establishment apart from other salons. I have actually had several services, including: Gel X Manicure, Gel Pedicure, and Gel Manicure. My Gel X nails stayed on for almost a month, and the Gel Manicure has been on for two weeks. So far, I like the quality, and both stylists I've had have done an amazing job replicating the designs I wanted. I also love that you can make appointments online and that there is ample parking. With how expensive their services are, especially with prices continuing to go up, I feel like the quality should last much longer than a week. I know they have a 7-day policy, but I'm mostly only available on weekends, and going back during the week is inconvenient, especially since my weekday appointments always seem to take longer than they should. I did almond shape french tip full set. 60+15$ french tip + 5$ for the shape (this is new to me) i asked if my cuticles can be cut and Danny said after. He started to cut them when he was almost done. He didnt soak my hands and it hurted a little as we tried to remove cuticles. I work in the medical field so i was my hands alot and is nice to have them remove nicely and painless. The shape looked nice. Vivian did my feet and i was disappointed. One she got The wrong shade of color and since Danny was doing my nails; the pillow was blocking my view. When i felt she was done i looked down and said "oh no thats the wrong shade" she got upset bc she would have to redo everything. However i was in a little of a time crunch since i had to wait 30+ mins i told her is fine. However one of my big toes looked sloppy and manager saw me asking if she can atleast redo that one and she said something to him and looked at me and did it but i sense she was upset. Then one of my pinkys she added like 7 coats because it had the same issue. So it looks super thick. They offer you drinks and am guessing cookies - never got offered anything - good thing am dieting haha But for the price i paid i expected alot more. read more

If you're getting a pedicure, they do put a beautiful neck. Rest filled with lavender that smells so good and it's heated up. Everything that they do is so extra you do get brand new tools that they use and open in front of you. Which I absolutely love that sanitation is key. All of their waters whether it's for your feet or for your hand has cucumbers and rose petals, which is so freaking cute. I got a manicure gel and a pedicure gel and I paid $97 with tip of six dollars. My total was 103. Which I don't think it's that bad because I did get a drink also even though it's complementary, I think it evens out. The manager was super great. He does come and ask you how your experience was and what you like about it, he talks to you get to know you a bit and he does check your nails before you leave just to make sure they're up to standards.
