They had it towed back, came up with more reasons to go into my engine, claimed it had all these things wrong with it that were not there before they touched it, and did not prioritize fixing it as it should have been on a return. The people are shady and cause more trouble then they fix. I do not trust them at all. What should have been an $800 spark plug replacement turned into $3600 and 11 days without my car. I dropped off our vehicle to figure out why the drivers side door lock wouldn't work, an inspection. Just about 5 -6 hours later, got a call with the diagnosis - a bad door latch. I decided not to move forward with the work for a few reasons but then was advised I owed $179 for the diagnosis. I was never informed or advised that there would be an inspection fee in the first place when I dropped off the vehicle. This is a great way to make some money off of folks, let's omit the fact that we charge for an inspection and then the customer won't have a choice! Shady already. I called the front desk guy on it and his response was, " oh I didn't mention it? I'll tell you what, you get it fixed with us and I won't charge you." He went on to say how difficult it was for the tech to remove the door panel. I paid the ridiculous and omitted fee and for fun, decided to do some more research today and took my vehicle to another shop - Stamps Auto. On my way to Stamps, I noticed that the door was not even put back together correctly, with one screw half way put back in and the electronic mirror button stuck outside of the panel. This is $179 worth of work. Arrived at Stamps and they immediately notified me that it would be a $70 charge for the inspection (far more reasonable in price as well); what do you know, they communicated upfront! Just as I thought, this is how it should be. I then shared the diagnosis and asked for a quote to replace the parts - they offered $280. Greulich's total cost to replace the part was $560. Hmm. I became even more curious and went home to see how long it would take to pull off the door panel. 4 total screws, a nice pull and removed 3 small wiring harnesses, the panel was off in approx. 6 minutes. 6 minutes!!!! Greulich's is the reason why people don't trust these shady shops. I paid $179 for 6 minutes of work, that I was not notified of in the first place. This is not the type of auto repair shop we need in our community.

I took my truck to this shop because of a driveline vibration. I was told my entire driveshaft was…read morebent and needed to be replaced at a cost of about $1,400. Wanting a second opinion, I took it to another mechanic who inspected the truck and found the driveshaft was not bent. The issue was simply that the driveshaft was out of phase/timing and only needed an adjustment, which cost me about $100. The adjustment completely fixed the vibration. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before authorizing expensive repairs here. I was nearly charged over $1,000 more than necessary for a problem that did not require driveshaft replacement.

They told me my engine was seized due to rod bearing failure-- at 88k miles, which, as many of you know, is exactly the issue that's been recalled or covered under Hyundai's extended warranty for this model/year. Same exact engine that's been having issues (2.0 NU MPI) The dealership said they were missing maintenance records and asked me to provide them. Luckily, I've always taken care of my car and changed the oil and did filters/rotations and the works. I was able to provide dates of ALL oil changes I completed that the car was being properly maintained during those times. Despite all that, Hyundai still denied the claim, saying it was due to "excessive neglect"--which is just ridiculous. I met every requirement and provided clear documentation. When I called Hyundai Corporate to understand what they meant by "excessive neglect," they refused to elaborate and told me the case is closed with no option to appeal. Here's what I've done so far: Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Filed with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) - someone has already been assigned to my case and will be visiting the dealership soon. Hyundai pretty much told us it's not their issue and we are screwed. Even though they have KNOWN issues with the same year/model/engine. I would never recommend getting a Hyundai, the engine in my car seized at 88k miles with identical issues that recalls are known for but they wouldn't even admit to it and kept saying "it's out of warranty". Please be aware and avoid buying a Hyundai at all costs. Horrible experience but it shed light to how crappy of a company they are and how much they don't care about their long time customers.

No big deal but they should do better at notifying customers when the job is complete and bringing the car up. No such notification was given and it feels like my time is not valued at discount tire.
